I walked in on a Sunday evening with no reservation at 6:00 and they were able to sit me upstairs no problem. I got ceviche & chicken Tinga enchiladas. Being from Texas I’ve had better but was pretty good especially for being in the Philippines. I also wanted to try a Michelin rated restaurant too

amazing ambiance. a bit pricey. the service is great. the ingredients used is exceptional, however after having dined here a handful of times it just feels like they have the same exact ingredients just prepared with different carbs (taco shell, tortilla, fajita wrap etc) case in point being you would expect fajitas to have loads of onions and bell peppers and salsa. what arrived was just what seemed like a deconstructed burrito with smaller wraps. the food overall is amazing though, you can tell they use high quality ingredients.

Maya never disappoints. The service is always great—attentive, friendly, and efficient without being intrusive. The ambience is warm and inviting, making it a perfect place for both casual dinners and special get-togethers. Most importantly, the food is delicious—flavorful, well-prepared, and clearly made with care. From the starters to the mains, everything is satisfying and well-balanced. A solid go-to for Mexican food with great vibes and reliable quality. 🌮✨

Located in crossroads strip mall, this restaurant offers a cozy dining suited for a casual date or meeting. I had the porkbelly tacos but there nachos and burritos look incredible. Taste of my porkbelly tacos was a 4.2/5. I thought the meat would benefit from some kind of a marinade. Atmosphere was clean, casual, comfortable and nicely done to feel inviting and relaxing. I will return for the salsa on Wednesdays and Sunday and try some other dish.

Tried this Mexican restaurant. The portions are massive. Had the guacamole which was a generous portion. It lacked flavor, not enough garlic or raw onions. Then the tostada, also rather large. A bit more flavor, but not really enough. After finishing it, I felt immediately bloated. The next morning, my stomach was rather upset, which I don’t need to describe here. I also had three margaritas due to the happy hour deal. They tasted odd, probably an artificial lime mix. I prefer them with just fresh lime juice and nothing else other than the tequila. So, can’t recommend this place. Not really great Mexican food, and I have been to Mexico many times, so, I know what I am talking about.

We didn’t have a reservation so we were placed in an outside table. Too hot to dine Al fresco. Also service was less efficient, slower than the inside. Not too good of an experience sadly, as we had the highest expectations . Food was ok , we ordered the tacos , tostados and nachos . The margarita was very small and tasted more of the kalamansi juice served in an ordinary glass. Had A disappointment for our family who are fans of the Abacca group. Maya can do better.

This meal was amazing! We have tried a number of "Mexican" restaurants in the Philippines before and have often been disappointed. Maya's food on the other hand was amazing with some authentic Mexican flavors. My wife had the enchiladas and I had a burrito, both with the pork carnitas as the meat. They serve them with a green and red habanero hot sauces, which add a nice kick and flavor. Overall an amazing meal! We ate outside, which was a nice atmosphere as well!

The place was amazing. This is the first Mexican restaurant I've been to in Cebu, and it didn't disappoint. While waiting for my friends, the waiter chatted with me and explained things well. He was very knowledgeable. They had almost everything you'd find in a Mexican restaurant in the USA, except tamales. The staff were really kind, and the place was huge with a high ceiling that I loved. I enjoyed their burritos, guacamole, and the piña picante margarita. The price was just right for the delicious food. The music was nice too. I’ll definitely be coming back soon.

I've always enjoyed maya when it comes to Mexican food. Great place to satisfy your craving.

Reputedly the best Mexican Restaurant in Cebu. The decor is really great, from the moment you enter through the grand doors and behold the colourful skulls overlooking the stairwell to the mezzanine. The drink and food experience was mediocre though. Many of the items on the menu were not available - at a laughably frequent rate of apology you feel bad for the waiter who has to keep returning to deliver the bad news - no rum, no Patron, no guacamole, no Michelada - like, really basic Mexican things that are I suppose harder to source across the Pacific, to which I'd suggest amending the menu to avoid such embarassments?

Top class restaurant. Food is perfect, the service is impeccable. Great for family dinners or get together with friends.

Update: Went back today around 4 pm. Ordered the carnitas burrito. I'm very patient I was the only person in the restaurant and it took 30 minutes for the food to come out... lukewarm. Might have been microwaved? One end was cool, center was warmish. Great service again. Almost comical that there are eight or so staff. Won't be back. Disappointed.

First time in Cebu last month. One of the things I search for when I'm on travel is - where is there Latin dancing? Maya came up a few times, so it was bookmarked. Surprisingly, while on the flight to Cebu, there was also an article in the inflight magazine highlighting this place. So now you know my sole purpose was not the food, or drinks, but the dance... Sunday night - Latin dance night, mainly salsa, bachata and kizomba. Not sure about the classes, as I got there after 10:00 pm and there wasn't any... so if you plan to go for classes, maybe call in advance to confirm? Ambience/Decor - OMG, this place is just lovely! I dragged my two teenage sons with me mainly for dinner, but also because I wasn't going to leave them in the hotel... Anyhow - my older son was soooo impressed with the place! Quite frankly, for restaurant/bar standards, it is a 5/5! There are two levels. Upstairs is the music/dance/restaurant, downstairs is a little more quiet for date night I guess Food - Okay, okay... I live in Southern California where Mexican food is bountiful. Unfortunately, this is the one place it lagged. Food was alright, but it's hard to compete when I am used to authentic Mexican right around my neighborhood. I would rate 3.5 stars. Props though for trying. Drinks - yes, I had the BOGO margarita. It was so/so. But can't pass up for the price. Service - Like the other Yelper mentioned, service is not something common or expected in much of the Philippines. Including this place. Location - I believe it's in a little plaza called "Crossroads". There is convenient parking. But beware - there are plenty (and very enticing) other food choices in this joint. However, since I came for the dance floor, I was satisfied.

If you're in Cebu but are craving some authentic Mexican food, you should check out Maya. It's in the Crossroads Mall on the south side of IT Park. I went there for the salsa dancing but stayed and had food and drinks, as well. It was a fun night. Maya even hires dance instructors so that you can dance a song or two, even if you didn't bring your own partner. Very cool! The music, food, drinks, and decor are on point... what more could you want? See ya there (when I'm in Cebu).

Maya is a great place to enjoy a night out with friends. They have great Mexican food and the best mojitos in town. And if you drink there during their weekly Moijto Night, you can order the drink buy one, take one. They also have Salsa Nights for those who love dancing! Very popular among tourists. Highly recommended, along with Phat Pho, Abaca Baking Co., and La Marea (for dining) and Craft Story and HOLICOW (for souvenir shopping).

So while perusing the internet I saw great reviews for a mexican spot in Cebu on a travel website. I love great mexican food and a margarita so I thought I would give this place a try. Decor: The first thing that sold me on this place was the ambiance and the look. It literally had me turning my head every which way to make sure I didn't miss something hanging on the walls or posted on a shelf. It was beautiful. While I was alone, I could see how this spot would be perfect for date night. Food: I went on a sunday evening, so there were 2 for 1 margaritas and discounts on some of the dips/salsa. I had the queso fundido which was pretty much a cheese and jalapeno dip. It was very melty and had a great flavor. It is very thick and most of my chips broke in the dip, but since I was alone I didn't mind digging right in with my fork. I also ordered the brisket tacos. They were decent but not great. The brisket was a little tough for my liking. I prefer my brisket a little more tender. The top seller was a pork option, but I was over eating pork at this point. Service: Like most places in the Philippines, service is not the same as in the USA. I never had a dedicated waiter/waitress that came over and asked me what I wanted. I always had to get someone's attention and tell them that I was ready to order or if I had questions. I don't say this as a negative, just something I noticed throughout the country. It didn't bother me but if you aren't used to it you may think you are being ignored. However, when you are able to talk to staff they are VERY PLEASANT. Great experience. Sidenote: Sundays are also salsa night after 9. There were tons of people there salsa dancing the night away. It captivated me more and added to the ambiance of the restaurant. Definitely a date night top pick.

This Mexican resto is okay. Service is very good. Place its self is excellent. Giving a 4-star is due to the following based soley on my opinion. Tacos - the carne asade while tender, should be sliced a bit more into smaller pieces. Taste wise it's not close to the mexican tacos I have had. So sorry but even the tacos from a food truck taste way better. Fajita Ajo - very very good chicken. It was tasty and tender. No complains there. Fajita Carnitas - good but not spectacular. Baked beans was a let down. But overall food is good. Hence, the 4-stars. But for a mexican restaurant locally here in Cebu it is the best. Should add some Oaxaca dishes, now that is authentic Mexican food. And a lengue taco would be so awesome.

Awesome restaurant!!! The decor is amazing as is the food. Delicious buy one take one margaritas on Sundays! This is definitely a restaurant you need to check out.

I ordered the carnitas fajitas and when the plate was brought out it was sizzling with a generous amount of pork. I thought I hit the jackpot but when I ate the carnitas I was hit with a very strong citrus taste (lemon, lime, calamansi, I don't know) which overpowered the taste of the meat. If ordering the carnitas fajitas you may consider asking for the citrus juice on the side. All in all I have to say I was disappointed. But in fairness to the restaurant I was hoping it would come close to what I'm used to in Southern California.

Really great Mexican food, better than I get in Tucson. All of it is good - enchiladas, tacos, fajitas, empanadas, etc.. Great ambiance, haha, nice dia de muertos skull masks. Just a cool place. Looks like they have a great selection of tequilas also but I don't drink so can't comment. But the staff is excellent and service great.
