San Diego's Essential Vegan and Vegetarian Restaurants

"Though Maya’s Cookies is renowned nationwide, local folks are lucky enough to get to purchase these stellar treats directly from the bakery. Favorites include the Chocolate Chip S’mores and Brown Sugar Butterscotch which are available individually or as boxed sets. Top Black-Owned Vegan Cookie Company Opens First Storefront | Eater San Diego

"After a social-media-driven surge in June 2020 that pushed orders from a few dozen a day to nearly 2,000, Maya’s Cookies grew from a three-person operation to a staff of 35, rented adjacent warehousing and shipping space, and became the number one Black-owned and woman-owned vegan cookie company in the country. At a well-attended ribbon cutting earlier this month I saw their first retail shop debut, carved out of the entry of the commercial kitchen; the otherwise unassuming Grantville storefront now sports a hot pink awning and sells guaranteed-fresh, possibly still-warm cookies on demand (open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday). Their menu ranges from classic Chocolate Chip to a gluten-free S’mores with a melted center of vegan marshmallow, and the grand opening exceeded expectations—community leaders, longtime customers (including the very first customer), and new fans drove in from as far as Los Angeles, Orange County, and Illinois, with lines and near sell-outs that the team kept up with by baking all day. Founder Maya Madsen aims to grow Maya’s Cookies into the national go-to for vegan cookies, eyeing future locations on the East Coast (she specifically dreams of Atlanta)." - Kelly Bone

I had the pleasure of trying Maya’s Cookies, a Black woman-owned bakery in San Diego specializing in gourmet vegan cookies. My office and I received them as a gift from one of our vendors (great gift idea). The team loved them! The packaging and presentation were really nice. Great idea to bring to an office for all to enjoy. The cookies are not overly sweet. My favorite was the Everything Cookie, it had the perfect combination of salty and sweet, I highly recommend! They are on the firmer side, but a quick few seconds in the microwave turns them into soft, gooey perfection, which is more my style of cookie. I can’t wait to visit the bakery in person to get the full Maya’s Cookies experience! Highly recommend giving them a try—whether you’re vegan or not, these cookies are a treat.

Google
I got the Everything cookie and the Lemon Chiffon cookie and wow, you can't even tell these cookies are vegan! They're even better than most non-vegan cookies I've had. The texture of both were amazing, crunchy outside and soft inside. Even with all the mix-ins in the Everything, it didn't feel like anything was too hard or crunchy or got in the way when I was eating it. And the flavor of the cookies 🤤 The Everything cookie was done so well, just the right amount of sweet and salty. And the lemon and butter flavor in the Lemon Chiffon 😍 I'll have to try the other flavors, I was eyeing basically all of them.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Years ago, my daughter and I stumbled upon Maya’s Cookies when it was closed. Maya herself saw us, opened the shop, and gave us a free cookie—it was so delicious we became regulars. Fast forward to today: my wife loves their gingerbread cookies. When she shared our origin story, Maya gifted her a free gingerbread cookie on top of the dozen she ordered. Amazing cookies, amazing service. Maya’s Cookies is the perfect blend of great product and genuine kindness.

Google
We used Maya’s for an event at work and ordered thousands of dollars worth of cookies. We had to urgently change plans last minute and move the event out two weeks, Maya and her team were able to keep our cookies in their freezer so hundreds of cookies didn’t go to waste! They easily could’ve said that wasn’t a feasible option and we would have understood; such wonderful customer service and such delicious cookies!! 10/10 experience!!

Google
Not sure where to begin... I can't believe one of the only photos I have from the hundreds of times I've bought their cookies.. I have the time that I got a holiday platter, haha. Every single veg fest that Maya's is in attendance.. I will be driving to it, and whenever I'm in SD.. it's mandated to pick some up. Maya's bakes the very best cookies ever.. this isn't a lie. I dream about her cookies when I'm away from them... every single flavor is a HIT. The birthday cake is my favorite and the marbles.. whenever they have the ube cookies.. HONEY, it's OVER.. they are the best cookies in existence. Not to mention... Maya is a complete angel, she's the nicest business owner I've met in many years. I am just so happy to support them and wish I lived next door to them, but I guess it's better for me, haha. Pros: So many flavors, Friendly service, always!

Google
These cookies are so tasty and have great texture. A little pricy, but they are massive. New flavors get released pretty often and are inventive and always a treat. My fave is the drunken grandma, I wish they would go back to being on permanent rotation! Bonus? The cookies are all vegan! As a non-vegan, I literally would have never known if I hadn't read it on their site. They're just as rich and decadent non-vegan cookies!

Google
Delicious cookies at Maya’s! Hard to believe that they’re vegan as well! We got four cookies, chocolate chip, s’more, cupcake, and snickerdoodle. All very yummy. Friendly employee and very quick in and out. Hope they expand soon, could see them in a mall being very successful. Recommend!

Google
Oh my goodness y'all! If you haven't, you better stop by here! Nice big vegan cookies that are super tasty!! Wonderful customer service and great atmosphere! A nice welcoming vibe! Best of all, woman owned and Black owned! #winning Check out this spot. You will not be disappointed!

Yelp
We came to Mayas 10 year anniversary celebration. They gave out goodie bags for the first 100 customers and had a lot of pop up Vegan vendors. Mayas shop is a small walk in shop. They have a selection of vegan cookies, vegan soft serve, and coffee. You order at the counter and your order is given right away. I ordered the pumpkin pecan cinnamon roll (cookie) and s'mores cookie. Delicious!!!

Yelp
Very, very small cookie shop tucked into the corner of an anonymous office complex (though it wasn't that hard to find). The signs outside did help locate the place and told people what flavors of cookies were available. However, going into the place, the flavors were somewhat limited. I only wanted five of the flavors, which ended up being chocolate peanut butter, chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, marble fudge, and chocolate peppermint bark. The girl behind the counter convinced me to get one more to make it a half dozen. Of the three flavors I didn't pick, I was most intrigued by the pumpkin cinnamon bun so I chose that one. I just had that cookie, and it was pretty good. I do have to say that these are relatively expensive cookies. I paid $30 total for six cookies, which comes out to an even $5 per cookie. Yes, the cookies are larger than normal and vegan, but still. I think that's a rather excessive price point for a cookie. I do like the carrying case for the cookies.

Yelp
I first learned about Maya's cookies at the Orange County Fairgrounds during a vegan festival. I bought a bunch of them and I was sold! Unfortunately, there is no store in Orange County but they do offer delivery and I have definitely taken advantage of that on various occasions and have also been gifted cookies via delivery. The cookies are so flavorful, gooey, chewy sweet and delicious. Exactly how you expect a cookie to taste. And they're big! The texture is amazing. It's hard to believe they're vegan. Also there's so many flavors to choose from especially with the rotating menu. I have never been to the actual store, but, at the vegan festival, the booth was super cute and the employees were nice and helpful. I think I even met Maya . The experience and the cookies left a great impression on me. I have yet to find a comparable place in Orange County.

Yelp
Wow what a sweet little gem! Family is down in San Diego for the weekend and wanted a sweet snack and found this place on yelp. Not a large selection, but enough and the taste is delicious! We got half a dozen cookies to share now and some for later. The staff was nice, small place so only saw one person working the storefront is cute. The street can be misleading because it looks like industrial warehouses.
google avatar

Yelp
Store front in Grantville area has everything you need. Before you walk in, you inhale a waff of sweet delicious baked goods. Store has cookies, merchandise, cookies dough, and packaged drinks in fridge. I bought the half dozen and chose six cookies. Taste of all cookies is the home made feels. Crispy edges, caramelized sugar, softer center. Large size cookies. All delicious, choose your favorite.
google avatar

Tamara B.

Yelp
Love the cookies. My family was in town and I had to let them taste the cookies. I've always caught them at a street fair. This time I went to the location. The service was nice and swift. The vibe of the store was entrepreneur. Go get yourself some cookies and ice cream. I promise you will not regret it!
google avatar

Yelp
Who would have thought vegan cookies could be so delicious! We bought a few boxes for our employees and I devoured a few before we got to work haha! The creative variety of cookies and consistently deliciousness had me sold. I loved the chocolate chip, matcha, Oreo, etc - I could go on and on about them.
google avatar

Yelp
Bought a cookie at the hillcrest farmers market and it was delicious! My daughter has food allergies and they warned us what not to order. We got the birthday cake cookie and it was yummy. It was a good size cookie and chewy and soft too which was great! Definitely will come back when we are in the area or if we ever see it again. I think it was $5 a cookie at the market that day.
google avatar

Yelp
Very cute space! It's located in an industrial area and wasn't too difficult to find. To be fair we weren't specifically coming here (at first),, it happened to be near where we had lunch. I checked them out on Yelp and decided to swing by. We were greeted warmly immediately upon arrival (sorry but didn't happen to catch a name) and we took a moment to take in the bakery case. We each finally decided on a chocolate chip macadamia and a Famous Everything cookie. Epic! Believe me when I tell you it was scrumptious!!! This spot blows away the other cookie establishments. You know we will be back!
google avatar

Carla O.

Yelp
The little place is cute located in a business park. I was pleasantly surprised how delicious the cookies were. I can tell they add much love and quality ingredients into these Vegan cookies! The flavor is packed with a bold explosion of flavor. There are a good variety of cookies to choose from which I had to try different flavors! and loved them all! They have Vegan ice cream as well if you so desire! Cookies plus ice cream pair so well together! They were so yummy, I decided to buy a box full of cookies for an additional Christmas gift! Thank you Mays for your talent and passion selling your "WINNER COOKIES" for everyone to enjoy! Go grab yourself some Maya cookies today, and I promise you life will be much sweeter! !

Yelp
After a family dinner party recently, I brought out a plate of Maya's cookies after dinner - and the crowd went wild! Only after everything was devoured did I dare say that they were vegan. My nearly exclusively carnivore family was shocked! And then said that they didn't believe me! Yes, Maya's cookies are THAT GOOD. I'm not vegan, more of a flexitarian, and Maya's cookies are my favorite cookies hands down! I'm trying to treat myself better, and part of that plan is to stop at Maya's more often. About a week ago I stopped by and got a Wheat Free Oatmeal Chocolate Chip and a Tuxedo (?) which had black and white chocolate chips. I'm a fan of everything here. Definitely treat yourself to Maya's!

Yelp
These are truly some of the BEST cookies I've had in a long time. Had a random craving with my work bestie and so I made the drive to pick up a half dozen that we shared between us. These cookies are full of flavor, huge, and satisfy sweet tooth cravings like no other. We split snickerdoodles, smores cookies, and a birthday cookie (sprinkles galore). They seem to rotate their flavors which is nice so you can try a bit of everything, but do seem to have some that regularly stay on the menu as well. I definitely will have this spot added to my regular rotation whenever I'm craving delectable cookies.

Yelp
Was recommended Maya's Cookies from a friend saying they were the best cookies in San Diego. Didn't realize they were vegan coming in and was surprised how good they are for being vegan. Located in a small office spot, they have many flavors along with ice cream and other treats. The cookies were more hard and stuck to my teeth which I didn't like but since they are vegan it's what one should expect. The flavor itself is on point and I loved how many options there are. Check Maya's out for some delicious vegan cookies.
google avatar

Kristina L.

Yelp
Just wanted to come on here and say I've been to Mayas a handful of times and the customer service is always top tier. But the cookies are what hit home for me. Anyone can enjoy them whether you're vegan or not vegan! My non vegan boyfriend LOVES coming here for cookies!! =] highly recommend!
google avatar

Marianna L.

Yelp
Yummy cookies and unique flavors. I came in the last 10 mins they were open, and they had about 30 cookies left which is a lot. The taste is good but don't expect the warm, fresh type of cookies. I've gone at another time not at close and had the same experience with quality. They weren't zealous to get rid of the remaining cookies at the end of the day either which leaves me suspicious. They most likely will sell them the next day.
google avatar

Vivian R.

Yelp
The best cookies in San Diego! Maya's is my all time favorite spot to grab a cookie (or 2!) when I'm craving something sweet. Love how they have different flavors! If you're unable to swing by their store, they're always set up at the Hillcrest Farmers Market on Sundays! Don't take my word, try them out yourself! P.S. order the chocolate chip cookie! Classic, yet the best flavor in my opinion!
google avatar

Candace C.

Yelp
The s'mores cookie is one of the best cookies I have had and would buy and eat again and again. During the holidays they have a peppermint s'mores cookie that is delicious too. They have oatly soft serve too but it's not my favorite. Stick to the vegan cookies!! Quick service and across from the post office. A few parking spots in the lot, this shop is on the corner, look for the pink signs.
google avatar

Kevin T.

Yelp
TL;DR: Good cookies, friendly staff - take home and reheat if you want to get it chewier Not exactly the easiest place to find but once you're there, you get lured in by smelling the sugar and cookies :) Only wanted one and tried the snickerdoodle - not too sweet but cold and a little on the stale side (might've sat too long in the box?) Recommend coming early in the open hours to hopefully catch fresh cookies - be back next time! Cheers, Maya's!
google avatar

Jules F.

Yelp
Great cookie shop that we frequently visit at farmers market. Didn't know they had an in person location until now. Guess what? They even have vegan ice cream with crumbled cookie and other assorted toppings, plus all kinds of merch and a fridge section. Great find!
google avatar

Fernanda C.

Yelp
The best cookies! I get the marble cookie and it's absolutely yummy. I've been to the farmers market pop up and in store. Both are equally good.
google avatar

Brittany A.

Yelp
I do not usually go for vegan food items or desserts but WOW were the cookies and ice good! I didn't even think about it being vegan it was just so darn tasty, tasted like a normal cookie! My daughter and I got the birthday cake cookie because she liked the look of the sprinkles as well as a ice cream with vanilla and chocolate. I'm currently on a diet restriction and the fact the ice cream is made with oat milk was really helpful for me! And it tasted good too! I'm totally coming back here for more cookies! I also love the location, it's nestled in a really quiet area and parking and stuff was a breeze!

J B.

Yelp
My husband and I have purchased Maya's cookies several times at the Sunday, Hillcrest Farmers Market. These cookies are hands down the best cookies we have ever eaten. We buy half a dozen different ones and then everyone shares them for Sunday dinner dessert, that way you can try them all. Honestly it would be impossible to pick one favorite, they are all that delicious. Glad to know they have an actual store because these would be a hit to bring to a party, potluck or just to make someone's day. Highly recommend these amazing cookies!
google avatar

Reena A.

Yelp
These cookies are SO good. A bit pricey but worth it. Tried 4 different kinds. Quick little spot to grab and go. Location isn't the most convenient since it's not around anything else, but there's parking and was easy to find. Just lookout for the signs.
google avatar

Natalie R.

Yelp
Whenever I go to farmers markets, Hillcrest or Little Italy, I always stop at mayas booth! It's really great that they have an actual store to visit when the farmers market isn't running. It's off the 8 freeway and kind of tucked away but there are signs to help you find the store on the corner and there are few spots in the parking lot as well as street parking. The shop itself is pretty small to the point: they have merch, the cookies, and their kitchen in the back. They have revolving flavors, which is nice to have items and rotations to come back and try!! Snickerdoodle is my all-time favorite, but they are s'mores and chocolate chip are also very good. I really love this place because I am lactose intolerant so for them to be dairy free is awesome. Plus they taste amazing! If you are ever in the area or at one of the farmers markets, I highly recommend to stop and try them !
google avatar

Nick C.

Yelp
Love these cookies! I usually buy a few when I see them at the farmers market and this was my first time at their physical location. It's small and a little out the way, but worth it. I've never had a cookie here I didn't like. They always have the texture I'm looking for in a cookie. Highly recommend the his place!
google avatar

Leslie S.

Yelp
These cookies are so yummy! As soon as you walk into the shop, it smells like delicious goodness! I got the white chocolate chip macadamia nut cookie, wheat free drunken grandma (oatmeal) cookie, Oreo cookie, and the s'mores cookie. There's so many options to choose from. I also love that they have the nutrition facts for most cookies listed on their website. These cookies are so good. You won't even realize that they are vegan! If you're nearby, please stop by or try them at the Hillcrest farmers market! You won't be disappointed!
google avatar

Claudia T.

Yelp
I've been a fan of Mayas cookies for about 4 years now ish. First time I tried them was in a Long Beach vegan festival, then a few years back I came to their store in SD. All was good then. I just went today and I am so so so disappointed. The quality of the cookies seem the same but, there are less options now and at 12:40 pm there was only 4 cookies to pick from. The most disappointing thing was the cashier. She was a white tall woman and for a small business, she is a bad representation and seemed like she did not want to sell (that's a saying we have in Spanish). First, she sounded like it was a chore to sell cookies just not welcoming super bland. There was a limited amount of cookies and we would have waited for the rest but she didn't say when they would come out or if we stuck around then they'd be ready. I paid $33 for my cookies and gave her a $100 bill and she was so slooooow in doing the math. Customer service and availability of cookies are down and down bad. I wouldn't usually mind the dark ambience in the store if the cookies and experience was like I remembered but now it just adds to a depressing vibe. I will unfortunately no longer be recommend this place as I have for years. I will see if next time the quality and customer service is better. It sucks to see the quality and customer service go down in a place I loved. For an experience like this, might as well go to any other store for some cookies.
google avatar

Andy P.

Yelp
Amazing little full vegan cookie spot. Has all the traditional flavors plus a rotating menu of super creative seasonal ones. Hands down the best cookies I have ever eaten. Soft and chewy. Fresh. Pure quality! They also have vegan soft serve ice cream thats really delicious. Quaint little place with a large parking lot. The staff is always very friendly. The owner Maya is really nice too and you can tell she is passionate about making cookies. Basically, everything about Maya's is awesome! If you love cookies like I do, I would highly recommend!
google avatar

Virginia D.

Yelp
After getting Maya's cookie delivery through the mail for months, finally got to visit in person! Great fresh vegan cookies. Big selection. It's a random location-- in an office park full of churches. This is JUST COOKIES- don't expect a cute cafe to hang out it. I think this is the baking facility?

Gwen T.

Yelp
Yes!!!!! At last, the best one yet for me. Today Maya has a banana matcha that is so good! Nice hint of banana to go with the matcha . So balanced. I don't care for bananas but this I will have anytime of the day. She had a strawberry matcha awhile back which was too sweet. The glaze was the strawberry as with this is a banana glaze She has other cookies which are also so flavorful. I had the pleasure to speak to Maya personally what a nice lady she is. Great creations Maya Thank you!!!!

Kelly S.

Yelp
I love the variety of cookie options here. But hands down favorite is the kitchen sink. I wish they had it every time we stopped in. But I guess then we would never try anything new.
google avatar

Courtney O.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious cookies! Crispy crunch on the outer layer with a soft chewy center. My absolute favorite type of cookie and they are VEGAN! I first tried Maya's Cookies at the Hillcrest Farmer's Market but love that they have a brick and mortar shop now to pick up cookies everyday of the week. The brown butter cookie is incredible. It's hands down my favorite and tastes like a butter cake. I also recently tried a chocolate espresso cookie that was so unique and tasty! Everything is delicious and worth the visit to try!
google avatar

Michelle F.

Yelp
Hidden in industrial area but their are pink signs pointing the way. Visited just before closing on Thursday. Usually visited Maya cookies when they are at Vegan Exchange in North Hollywood which we did on Sunday prior to our trip but ran out so here we are. Inside is small but offers alot of variety of cookies & soft serve. We ordered 6 cookies, cookie batter & ube soft serve. Very good customer service. Met owner. She greeted us with her beautiful smile. Bonus go to their website & they ship to you. Also have catering. Highly recommend their vegan cookies.
google avatar

Ninarae N.

Yelp
HYPES: Maya's cookies!!!! =') need i say more? it's soft, gooey and tastes homemade which is a VERY good thing when it comes to cookies!! I love the white chocolate/dark chocolate combo cookie. and a number of the cookies they sold for Black history month! i love that they're vegan!!! my stomach doesn't hurt one bit after devouring these cookies!!!! these were so good, i took a box home to share with my friends and family in sacramento. they all loved it, too! GRIPES: not a damn thing! MAYA'S COOKIES IS #1!!
google avatar

Casey C.

Yelp
Ube ice cream was good, came with a cookie and was $7 (their prices include taxes so that's the final price). I've had other cookies from them before and they're also really good. About the size of Crumbl cookies and I prefer Maya's - I love supporting small businesses and vegan establishments. A minor qualm I have is that I asked what the soft serve base was, the employee said coconut but then I went outside and saw a sign that said it was oat based (specifically Oatly brand). Luckily I'm not allergic to either, but it would be nice if they could be wary of that. There's a couple picnic tables outside if you want to sit, but I think most people just took their orders to go.
google avatar

J F.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place for years now. Finally made it down from San Diego. It's tucked off in the cut but not hard to find. Very cute, CLEAN location. We were immediately greeted by the young lady at the register. After trying chocolate soft serve I ordered a vanilla bean, rum cookie and a snickerdoodle. I haven't tried the snickerdoodle yet but the other cookie is AMAZING!! Can't wait to bring my daughter back. Sorry for the average picture. I forgot to take one before I started. Check her out, you WILL NOT be disappointed!
google avatar

Jessica D.

Yelp
I always make sure to buy a cookies whenever I see them at a farmers market! My life was changed when I found out they have an actual store! I follow their instagram and check their stories for their daily stories. Best vegan cookies ever!!!
google avatar

Paul B.

Yelp
The food is pretty good, especially for being vegan. So nice to slowly tear. The service was fast. Hours are 11 to 5 though we came at 4:40 the cookies were warm! Maya came out special to meet my daughter. Once again cookies were delicious! Even the simple one.
google avatar

Crystal B.

Yelp
Great quality cookies. Tastes delicious and are a great size! Would highly recommend!
google avatar

Alissa T.

Yelp
You'd never know these cookies were vegan!! I've loved every cookie I've tried from Maya's, but my all time favorite is the marble fudge. Maya's is nowhere near my house, but I go out of my way to make a stop to get these tasty treats. Also, they sell their cookie dough and bc it's vegan, I don't feel bad about eating the raw cookie dough!! I get it every year for the end of the school year and a scoop of that per night really helps provide the minute of serenity that is so needed at the end of the year!
google avatar

Guadalupe G.

Yelp
Small little shop for cookies in Granville the place is small but easy to spot. I had a cookie and it was great but price is a bit high but one cookie when craving it is fine. The staff were great as well and welcoming.
google avatar

Smitha A.

Yelp
First things first, I have never met a nicer store owner. And Maya wasn't fake about it. She was loving and genuine. I didn't get the name of the other young woman behind the counter huts he was amazing too. Maya told me they had Ube soft serve that day. Tip: if they have it, get it! It's fantastic! Creamy but not too sweet. Gluten free and vegan. Next I was able to take home 4 drunken grandma cookies - gluten free! They were amazing. Chewy and soft and crispy around the edges. Just the way a cookie should be. I'm going back. You should too.
google avatar

Kim P.

Yelp
Wow, I was blown away by how good these vegan cookies are! I am not vegan, but I have a good friend who is and I've tried many vegan desserts with her. Typically I don't find vegan desserts very appetizing but these cookies definitely are! I tried and chocolate chip s'mores and the snickerdoodle and both were delicious. Would highly recommend!

Julie W.

Yelp
Maya's Cookies are my favorite! We had them cater our wedding and they were terrific--beautifully made and absolutely delicious. I've been a regular customer and was thrilled to include their treats on our big day. Shelley was our contact. She was quick to respond to my questions. We only had a few cookies left by the end of the night--which says it all!
google avatar

Jane L.

Yelp
These cookies are MAGIC IN YOUR MOUTH...and VEGAN?!?! I've been coming here for a few years now, never had a batch of cookies that I didn't enjoy. The cookies are chewy and flavorful, not just sugary. The presentation is really well done, the cookies are good to look at and tasty too. The service is always great. It's a small bakery and is usually staffed by one person. The bakery is bright and colorful. There is very limited parking, but it's usually no biggie. If it's some kind of holiday, there may be a line. The day that I came here, I found that they are now selling cookie dough. The prices have gone up, but that's life, eh?
google avatar

Kate F.

Yelp
I love that they are a vegan friendly cookie company. They have gluten free options on their website but I didn't notice the option in the store so you may need to pre order gluten free I tried the s'more, mixed with brownie batter, and everything cookie. The everything was my favorite and I think I would have liked the plain chocolate chip. The marshmallow on the s'more cookie wasn't that great . It sounded better than the execution of it.

Yelp
Massive cookies for a great price! The location of this place is so tucked away but it clearly doesn't need heavy traffic to be a successful business. The cookies speak for themselves. I always see their booth at several farmer's markets in San Diego and always try to snag some cookies when I can. I tried the cosmic brownie cookie and it was amazing. The outside was crispy and the inside was soft and chewy. The icing on top was super sweet but definitely reminiscent of the nostalgic cosmic brownie. Although it was great, I do not know if I would get it again because of how sweet it was. The other flavors I've tried though weren't as sweet. Service was great as well! I'm really glad San Diego has a spot like this for vegan treats.

Yelp
Best cookies ever! I first tried these in January of 2024 at a farmers market and recently went back this week and I had to stop and grab some it was a MUST. The flavors are on point, and bonus they're vegan.

Yelp
My friends call me the Cookie Monster because cookies are literally my fav food and if I could eat them for breakfast, lunch and dinner I would! Maya's cookies is tucked away in the industrial district of Mission Gorge. Hidden gem if you ask me! I came here with full intention to sample just about every cookie so I bought a total of 9 cookies. The ones I've tried so far: Everything cookie- absolutely mouth watering such an incredible combination of ingredients S'mores- a nice twist on a delicious chocolate chip cookie White Chocolate Macadamia- my fiancés favorite The wheat free m&m was definitely different. Wasn't the biggest fan but got it for my nephew. I can't wait to try the rest that are in my freezer now My fiancé couldn't believe these were vegan- don't knock it till you try it!
