Fun bar with a good selection of beers. The flight is the way to go so you can sample your way through a variety of brews. They offer events at this location. When I was there they had candle making happening. Was quiet when I went with a friend for after work drinks mid week. Free parking.

The staff were very nice, and the snacks are great. Lots of options for beer. (I’m Not legally allowed to drink, but my parents tried some) it was very nice here and they make sure it’s safe here which makes me enjoy this place even more. If I lived near this area, I would definitely go again.

We decided to stop in to Mayflower Brewing around lunch time on a weekday. There wasn't any food available at that time but the beer and service were both great. The bartender was attentive to us and allowed us to taste a number of beers before we settled in on our pint-of-choice. There are beers for every beer taste, from light rice lagers to double IPAs. Personal favorite: Whisky Barrel Aged Brown Ale.

We stopped for some beers at Mayflower Brewing Company while in Plymouth. We ordered some beer flights along with their limited edition Thanksgiving Ale on Nitro. All the beers we tried were tasty, especially their Dahlia IPA, seltzer, and Leisure Mode. They sold pretzels and popcorn if you wanted a snack. They had an acoustic performer playing live music and the back area had some games to play. They had a really nice souvenir selection of shirts, hats, glassware, sweatshirts and tap handles. I would highly recommend stopping here for drinks and some beer to go.

Edit: Tried some of their Love and Wrestling recently, both in cans and on tap, both were really bad tasting compared to before. The newest batch tastes more like a lager and is much darker and less orange/juicy looking. I have had the beer very consistently over the years, but it's like they either messed with the recipe (which 400 re-release tasted like they messed with the recipe as well). Almost undrinkable, honestly I won't be buying another 4 pack of it. Not only that, but it seems like they bailed on DIPA's with Love & Wrestling being the only hazy double they have anymore. They have a rotating single IPA series, which is okay. Also have avoided the tap room for the past year and a half with change in staffing and overall vibe/service. Hopefully things get better. ____________________________________________________ Been stopping by every since the brewery opened. Over the years Mayflower has done a great job of introducing an abundance of well rounded beers and options. Starting with traditional 12oz cans, moving up to 16 oz cans and seasonal bottles for sale. Their staff has always been friendly and welcoming, as well as knowledgable about the beers. Family and pet friendly is a plus in my book. Live music on the weekends and options for 2 (sometimes 3) different beer gardens in the Plymouth area have been fun for a change of scenery. Mayflower has always had great connection with the community over the years. They have since expanded their taste in brews with offering Sours, IPAs, Porters, and lighter beers as well. They have always produced a fantastic double IPA for the pricepoint of a 4 pack, although you guys really should keep the 400 DIPA on all the time! Thanks for being so consistent and reliable.

Google
What a great find! We came to town on a Monday and decided to find a brewery open around lunch time. Almost every other brewery we looked at was closed at that time. Mayflower Brewing was open and pouring! We got six samples and enjoyed all of them. They have exceptionally good NE IPAs. They also had a sour on tap that was delicious! Overall a great experience and we hope to make it back to town again someday and try some other of their brews.

Google
I love the Mayflower Brewing Company. I went for the first time this weekend and was very pleased. They had an awesome food truck that was efficient and delicious. I ordered their sour beer and it was so tasty and tart. I’m not typically a beer drinker but it was extremely tasty. They had two live musicians during our visit. Both were very talented and chose music that fit the mood perfectly. They take lots of precautions to ensure the safety of their patrons during a pandemic. Some examples being tables six feet apart, deep sanitization between groups, no more than 6 people at a table, a QR code menu, and their staff wear their masks appropriately the entire time.

The Plymouth Punk Rock Market is a great event!

Yelp
Went for the Plymouth Punk Rock Market, stayed for seconds on their "Purple Drank". Walked out goofy style. Nice little room. Friendly Beekeeps. Cool events. Will return despite the distance.

Yelp
Nice brewery setup. Thought the Thanksgiving Ale was rich and extra smooth on Nitro. Also had the IPA English style, which I thought was Ok but too cold and carbonated to reflect the style. Both beers would have been fantastic if served on cask. Live music and big screen in back room was nice.

Yelp
Always a great experience here, and at the Pinehills Beer Garden! Great beers and great people. Ashley and Tracy are so personable and truly the best!

Yelp
I'm very solid brewery and we happen to cross over looking for a place to eat some pizza that we had bought down the road. They had a lot of outdoor seating and some good space for the kids to run around. The myriad of picnic tables were perfect to set up on with food at one and then segment into kids and adult tables! We also noted there was plenty of seating as well. The beer selection was solid. Lots of hazy IPAs and a couple of darker options. Fear& Patience and Love & Wrestling were the favorites. Everything was very good and this is the sort of place that we would probably frequent if we lived nearby. As we do not, it served as a perfect place to stop in, try some beer, purchase a hat and takeoff from. It was a bit out of the way, but well worth the trip down whatever road it was that brought us here!

Yelp
America's hometown brewery with above average selection and quality of beers, often live music, friendly staff and festive atmosphere. The taproom is comfortable and the bar seats about ten. Food trucks visit frequently offering variety of pizza or BBQ.

Yelp
We stopped in during a weekday afternoon and had a great time. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There were several friendly locals at the bar, too. I got a flight. Great selection of beers. All were very good and crafted well. Good music playing and great vibe overall. Good merch. Easy parking. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Great atmosphere help is great. Many selections of beer on tap my favorite is porter nitro.

Yelp
Beer selection was decent - their list of standard and seasonal rotation. Mostly IPAs, and a fruity sour and a few darker, and nitro brews. I absolutely agree with another reviewer who speaks about connecting with the customer. Breweries, running a storefront should definitely be there to act, not as just another bar or watering hole but rather, as the face of its brand. And knowing that you are going to see many folks passing through being located in a touristy town such as Plymouth, and being that you're using the historical Mayflower as your brand, you want to be personable, personal and connect with your customers. While the server (single tender at the bar) wasn't rude in anyway, there was zero recommendation, zero explanation, no chatting, no interest - literally just took our order, poured and took our payment. So while the beer was good, there was no experience and for craft beers, and breweries - it is ALL about the experience, the brand, the culture of what they're selling and NOT just a bar.

Yelp
Very good beer!! This poor review is NOT about the beer!! From Plymouth so I have always been about mayflower!! Love everything about the place, but sadly will probably not be returning. Have always told my friends and family to stop on in but after my last few interactions with one of the bartenders I do not think I will be returning. The women with dark hair and bangs (I think her name was Kate?) seemed miserable and in turn made us uncomfortable. My wife and I eventually had to leave because of how uncomfortable we felt. We would love to be able to come back if we felt more welcome but don't want to run the risk of having her again. When we first walked in and took a seat the young women with glasses was friendly, upbeat and was very attentive to everyone at the bar. But unfortunately she had to step out and we were left with this miserable women. When talking about our experience with her around town they all had the same thing to say, "unfriendly and unwelcoming". It seems as if everyone is on the same page as us, HA! Really hope someone with some kind of importance sees this and something gets done about it.

Yelp
On a recent family trip to Plymouth decided to check out Mayflower. So glad we did. My mom and i Both got the flight which is a 6 oz pour of 5 different beers for $10. Each one was delicious! Great atmosphere with plenty of space. I had my kids with me and they had a large room with tables and games so they weren't bothering other patrons. Also the cutest dog hangs pout there! Would definitely go again!

Yelp
Breweries need to focus on their customers. Mayflower has forgotten that. Be connected. Be happy. Talk your product. Be engaged. Good breweries do all of that. You know beer, not people. Reconsider your approach to customer interaction. Second time we're leaving this weird, corporate site--unenthused by the Mayflower folks. When you are posted in an industrial shoebox you need to work even harder at charisma. We're beer tourists, and we're gonna forget you exist.

Yelp
Beers were pretty good, got a flight of IPAs and porters. Loved the coffee porter. The space is dog friendly but there were quiet a few which made it pretty loud. Live music was good. Sausage guy outside was yummy, get the Lamb. I'm surprised they Mayflower doesn't have a higher space with outdoor seating, that would be nice. Staff was pretty friendly.
google avatar

Scott V.

Yelp
Love the Porter, Rich and smooth with chocolate forward notes not buried by the coffee taste of some porters and stouts.
google avatar

Allison R.

Yelp
Great beer, offer flights for $10 any 5 6oz pours. Great service, good beer and lots of variety.

Justin B.

Yelp
Fantastic selection of fresh beers and fun themes (see Leather Bound Books- a nod to the movie Anchorman). It's located in the Plymouth west industrial/business park. There's a good size side room for business gatherings. If you like NE IPA's try Love & Wrestling, my personal favorite. Give them a visit- you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Came here for their 1st American Craft Breweries celebration & would definitely recommend taking a tour. The brewery is relatively small, but is also still shiny & new. There are 6 beers available to taste at any given time - their porter, IPA, pale, golden, & then there is a seasonal & a cask. The folks that work here are extremely friendly & knowledgable. They will tell you all about the beers & you can tell they are very passionate about them.
google avatar

Jessica M.

Yelp
Very small tasting room, but it's worth the visit. You can get 5 tastings for free of any beer that they currently have on tap. They also do free tours.
google avatar

Emily M.

Yelp
Mayflower is fine. Most of the beer was good, but it is all readily available at stores since they have been canning. We visited for the first time while their tap room was under renovation, so I suppose the atmosphere is temporary but I had no issues there. The employees here were kind of meh. When we first arrived we could barely get our order taken because all of the staff were very involved with some dogs that were with their owners at the bar. They poured our beer with their dog hands - which was also meh. On our way out, we had equal difficulty getting attention. We made eye contact, we approached the bar, they kept talking. I would get it if the staff were like brother-in-laws/co-owner/hobby brewer types that you see at micro-breweries but they seemed hired. Hopefully the temporary set up is throwing them off and the tap room experience is a better one.
google avatar

Thomas K.

Yelp
A Plymouth must. Been to the breweries in Boston, this has more of a "hometown" feel. The staff is very knowledgeable plus dogs running around makes for a very desirable atmosphere.
google avatar

Angie G.

Yelp
I love coming to Mayflower every time I'm home! My family and I are huge dark beer drinkers and they always have a big selection. Their nitro selection is always great. The space is nice and big, games for playing, and live music some nights. Dog friendly too!
google avatar

Yelp
We came to the mayflower brewery for the start of birthday weekend and it was awesome! You get 5 tastes tests, you can have a beer for the tour and you can stay as long as you want for beers after! The girls doing the tours are super nice and wicked knowledgable with great people skills! The tour is pretty quick and super interesting! Fun way to kill an hour so. We will for sure be back!

Yelp
Really chill spot to enjoy craft beers. Although you can readily find Mayflower Brewing Co. beers at many retail outlets, you'll find several specialty brews here. Highly recommend the 399 & the Porter.

Yelp
So just wrapped up a tour here at the brewery, no puns, I promise. The location is right in the Plymouth industrial park off of exit 7 @ Cherry st, and it might be a little hard to find if you don't have GPS...See the picture I uploaded for the entrance! Looks can certainly be deceiving....From the outside you would never know so much history was tied to this place. From the barrels they brew their special drafts in, to the owner himself being tied to the Mayflower. As you walk in, it's almost like you stepped right into a old-time draft house. The storefront is where you buy your craft beer merch, and they have several beers on tap for free to sample. While waiting for the tour, I tried the Pale Ale, Autumn Seasonal, and IPA, and each had distinct flavors that really set them apart. The tour lasted about a half hour and walks you through a daily brew cycle, and they give you a peek into the whole process. It's a small facility with loads of character. From the initial fermenting to the bottling process, each has some kind of story that they throw in to keep it interesting. I guess going to other breweries made it hard to give this place a 5. Sam Adams in Boston gives out shooters for taking the tour and the ambiance just seems more upbeat; either due to the people or otherwise, elsewhere. 4 stars for great free beer, funny hosts, and a great atmosphere that really sets the mood.
google avatar

Bill D.

Yelp
This is way above average tasting & tour. First the tasting room was huge and had a cool vibe to it - more like an nice bar not a dirty corner of most breweries. Tastings are FREE and they don't skimp on the size (probably 4 ounces). They offer six beers to sample. The staff is amazingly friendly - there isn't any rush even when the place is mobbed. They remember where you are in order of sampling but not in a way were they are checking up on you. They offer a tour (skipped it since I've been on hundreds) that people seemed very stoked about. The neat thing is they used the tours to control the crowd in the tasting room. Don't expect a great price break on the beer until you're buying growlers - they're the same as you'll pay in the liquor story. Great experience.

Yelp
We landed here looking for a small British vessel which we had crippled during a battle in heavy fog, and there were signs that it's people's had come to settle here. I had not thought we had spent so long in finding them! The Engles sought to appease us with small glasses of beer, and told us of their history. Indeed, they had not been here long. Thought pacified from the drink (butchering and looting is thirsty work), I still demanded a token tribute from these people. They insisted that the tiny souvenir glass was $8.75. I left confused as to why the much larger pint glasses were significantly cheaper at $4. The next thing I knew I was walking to where our longboat awaited, my helmet missing, my head capped by a brown hat with the name of these people upon it. Truly, there is some dark magic in the porter they make, as it was what I sampled last and I cannot think of any explanation other than witchcraft as to why we did not sack the place to the ground. I found myself indifferent to their Golden and Pale ales, but their rye was light and refreshing.
google avatar

Bethany F.

Yelp
Love Mayflower beer! Especially since it's in my hometown (so maybe I'm a little biased?) The brewery tour is great. The owner gives the tour and tells you all about the brewing process. I also rate a brewery tour by how much they give out for samples, and Mayflower is awesome about giving you a sample of each beer on draft that you want. Yum! Def go here if you're in town on the weekend (or whenever they have hours)...it's free, and worth it! (get a Growler while you're there too, you won't be sorry)

Yelp
Although I find Mayflower a delicious beer, I'm reviewing my experience at the tasting room near Plymouth. Located in a very industrial area, the tasting room at the brewery felt like a store front with not very many places to sit. Even though there was only 1 other person at the bar, I had to flag down one of the three barmaids in front of me to order a flight. I actually felt bad I was bothering them as they didn't seem to be getting along. I drank the beer quick, bought a couple things and got outta there as fast as I could. I'm glad I found out this place isn't the type of tasting room to bring your beer buddy you want to impress. I recommend just buying Mayflower from the store and enjoy it at home.

Ameet S.

Yelp
Beer was good.. reasonably priced. Service was subpar. Food by blue crab... Over priced by far. Overall.. not impressed.
google avatar

Jamie G.

Yelp
Free beer tastings and free tour. Free being the operative word. We tried 5 different beers and they were all okay to wonderful. In order from best to not the best: Autumn Wheat- cool flavor of chocolate, barley and malt, had like a burnt wheat beer flavor. I really liked it. Golden Ale- Typical golden with a good wheat flavor Porter- too much coffee flavor IPA- too floral and hoppy Pale Ale- bitter, floral, bad aftertaste The place looks new and clean and is a good little tasting bar area- sells growlers and bottles and glasses and other assorted things. Wish I lived closer so I could try their free beers often!

Yelp
Not a bad place. The bartenders were friendly, and some fellow brewery go-ers had their dogs so I am assuming they are dog friendly. The beer was great and lots to try on tap that you can't get in store! Definitely worth a trip.
google avatar

Deborah M.

Yelp
Super fun. We just did a tasting, the full Mayflower voyage. The beers were really good. The atmosphere was laid back and fun. The woman doing the pouring was very knowledgeable!
google avatar

Yelp
Took a little trip to the Mayflower. Not the one that brought the Pilgrims over but the one that brews beer. They have 4 beers on tap to try for free! The Golden Ale, pale Ale, IPA and the Porter. All were good. The IPA is probably my favorite. It was late Saturday afternoon, they have tastings from 1-4pm for the summer. But they are open year round on Thurs. & Fridays from 430-630pm. You can buy growlers here, I think they are around $9. they also have beers in the fridge you can purchase as well. There was one guy working and he let us walk around out back where they brew. It was interesting to see the porter fermenting since it was bubbling all over the floor and smelled soo good! Pretty decent beer for a small brewery. Definitely worth a try! Their location is in an industrial park which may be tricky to find if you are not familiar with the area but the directions on the site will lead you there!
google avatar

Dan P.

Yelp
This is a review on just the beer, I have not been to the brewery yet, although I plan to. This is yet another one of my favorite local breweries. They have great seasonal beers, the Summer Rye, and Autumn Wheat, as well as there year-rounds, which are all good. I love the Pale Ale.
google avatar

Matthew S.

Yelp
Great beer! Best local brewery south of Boston. Their new tasting room is superb. I bring my kids and folks bring their dogs. Very accommodating.
google avatar

Denise M.

Yelp
we love this place. my fiance and i live about an hour away, but are good friends with a plymouth local, and often come down to visit. there is a good selection of beers. i'm not really into hoppy stuff, and there's usually a good ale around for me to enjoy. most recently i had both the thanksgiving and scotch ales, as well as the standish which is an imperial porter. all were outstanding. definitely go and check out their new taproom and enjoy some delicious beers served by some very nice folks.
google avatar

Anthony F.

Yelp
One of my favorite brewery spots in Massachusetts! Mayflower makes great beer while still being affordable. Wish they would start distributing to Maine though. The tap room is relaxing and open. They always have many types of beer on tap. There is a brew dog too! and the taproom is dog friendly which i love. Got myself a flight which wad 5 beers instead of the typical 4, which was nice. All the beers were good. They have a lot of there beer available in cans and growlers. The evolupin and new world were my favorite but they had am imperial stout called simply "X" which was great as well. If you are ever in the Plymouth area you need to make a stop here for sure. Plymouth rock is not worth it but the beer here is!
google avatar

Erik F.

Yelp
There are so many good things you can say about Mayflower beer and the brewery. Went on a Saturday morning tasting + tour at 11 a.m. We hung around the retail/bar area and sampled the awesome five-beer lineup (golden wheat, pale ale, IPA, porter, seasonal) and looked around. Very cool merch, including handmade growler holders. I recommend buying one of the sample glasses. Be sure to bring a sample brew with you for the tour! Very informative, and it's awesome to see things in action. Everything is done in-house, so you get to see every step and brush up on your beer history along the way. Our tour guide was awesome too. Going back in a couple of weeks to refill my growler!
google avatar

Bruce M.

Yelp
Amazing people work here. It is the best, friendliest Brewery you can ever find. They brew the best beers with passion.
google avatar

Daniel B.

Yelp
Good beers ! bad service . I wanted to get a growler filled but was told they can't fill a grower with that beer . when the sign says any beer except the ones listed below . The Standish stout was not listed . I call bill shit on this and probably will never be back or buy their beer after being treated like I was. This is not the way to treat people on your Grand opening . We also were asked to leave the bar so other people could have a chance to see ar the bar. Very disappointed with the way they treated us . My wife had a broken leg and they wanted us to go stand someplace and drink our beers .
google avatar

Stephanie W.

Yelp
Never coming back! I have been on yelp for years and have never been inspired to write a bad review! Good work

Josh M.

Yelp
We've tried a bunch of breweries around the South Shore and this is one of our favorites. Great selection of beers and they have something for everyone, it's not all Double IPAs like some of the other more "modern" breweries. Tucked away in North Plymouth, this place is totally worth a visit.
google avatar

Nora B.

Yelp
Cute cute cute. Fun tours. The only bummer is that they really want to support local restaurants who sell them, however, those restaurants are insanely crowded and I'd rather eat around here. Literally, April and you can't get parking on Saturday night downtown does not bode well for summer. The brew tour was cool and the beers were so good.
google avatar

Brenda L.

Yelp
Excellent place for craft beer fans. The staff is friendly and helpful. The beer was great, only wish they had a little something for non beer drinkers. Nice selection of souvenirs.
google avatar

Kelly A.

Yelp
We took the trip out to Plymouth today to check out the digs at Mayflower. And it didn't fail to impress! The brewery is much more visitor-friendly than most other breweries, as there's a little shop and tasting room when you first enter, followed by a very clean and sparkly brewing area. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and they were very willing to let us sample all of their offerings. Today they had their four regular beers on tap (IPA, Golden, Porter, and Pale Ale), and they also had their seasonal (a Summer Rye). It looks like they have grand plans for expansion, so be on the lookout for them throughout New England in the coming months!

Matt H.

Yelp
Excellent sampling room. The staff were friendly and knowedgable. They also provided a great recommendation for a pub in Plymouth. The tour was fairly short but very informative.
google avatar

Mikayla B.

Yelp
I went to this breweries party they were having a few summers ago and it was a blast! They had multiple venders there selling yummy food (lobster rolls and chicken wings from around the area), and a live band playing music to enjoy from a local band! The beer was phenomenal to me even though I wasn't even a huge beer fan back then. The porter to this day is one of my favorite porters. Great craft beer place!
google avatar

Jessi R.

Yelp
This may seriously be the best taproom I've ever been to! Spacious, well-lit and clean. The staff were friendly and approachable without any of the airiness that one sometimes finds at a brewery. Still they are knowledgeable about beer and the history & mission of the company. It was really nice to be in such a laid-back place.
google avatar

Michael S.

Yelp
Good beer, great people. They remember us and greet everyone like family. They host great events and the porter is one of our favorite beers.
