Such a lovely atmosphere on a beautiful day. We enjoyed our dinner at the lakefront restaurant , outdoor sitting. It was my wife's birthday dinner , and she enjoyed every moment. The food was really good, and the staffs were super freindly and nice. 5 star for everything here. They have enough sitting place, i door and outdoor, which is nice. Our server Rose was awesome, a big thanks to her for her great job during the dinner. We will visit again!

They hit it out of the park! The food was delicious, super fast service and a great place for a birthday dinner! Our server, Tristin, was awesome and had great suggestions. She suggested substituting rice for the steak bite appetizer and also suggested the banana pie! The nachos are topped individually with meat and cheese. Huge plate and super appetizing. The steak bite appetizer serves as a perfect entree with enough to take home for a second meal.

Enjoyed dinner at Maynard’s and I’m excited to come back in the summer when it’s a little more lively. Service was great and booth was cozy. My partner and I shared the High and Humble Burger, wild rice soup and the Asian chicken salad. Would certainly get the burger and soup again. The highlight, and reason we went, was for the nachos. Individually cheesed. Going to be hard to go back to any other type of nachos order.

Scenic Setting, Let Down by the Kitchen and Service A visit to Lake Minnetonka is always a treat, and enjoying a relaxed afternoon meal at the pier at Maynard’s seemed like the perfect way to take in the atmosphere. The lakeside setting did not disappoint—bustling yet serene, with picturesque views and a lively crowd that captured the charm of the area. Arriving without specific expectations beyond the ambiance, I found the environment to be the highlight of the experience. However, the meal itself, unfortunately, fell short in several key areas. Among our group, the consensus on the food was mixed, leaning toward underwhelming. While the waffle fries stood out for their crisp texture and generous portion size—truly the standout of the meal—the rest of the dishes failed to impress. Both burgers ordered arrived overcooked, and the coconut chicken, while nicely presented, was served only lukewarm. Service, while efficient in terms of delivering food, lacked a hospitality-driven approach. When two members of our party politely noted the issues to our server, the response was a brief “sorry” with no follow-up or attempt to remedy the situation. It was clear that while the server executed her basic duties well, she had not been empowered or trained to engage with guest feedback meaningfully. In sum, Maynard’s offers a stunning location and a classic Minnesota waterfront experience, but the food and service need refinement to match the promise of the setting. I likely won’t return, but I do recommend stopping by for drinks or fries at the pier to soak in the view—just manage your expectations when it comes to the rest.

We love the atmosphere here. The bartenders were attentive and friendly. The food was mostly good. We enjoyed the waffle fries. The burgers are good. The walleye was good, but the last few bites of hubs' first filet were fishy. The Bloody Mary was spicy, and hubs really enjoyed that. I enjoyed the iced tea.

Maynards offers a phenomenal outdoor seating ambiance. Their cheese curds are great, even by Minnesota standards. The Mango Margarita is delicious, and the menu is filled with fresh, light options. A fantastic spot for a relaxing meal with excellent food and drinks!

A great place to to have a quick bite and a drink. The waiters are all young guys and super friendly and polite.

Absolutely love Maynard’s on Lake Minnetonka! This place nails the Minnesota lakefront dining experience. The outdoor patio has one of the best views on the lake—perfect for relaxing with friends or bringing out-of-town guests. The vibe is upbeat and casual, with great music and plenty of boat traffic to watch. I ordered the walleye sandwich and it was cooked perfectly—crispy outside, tender inside, and served with seasoned fries that were seriously addictive. Our server was super friendly and made great drink recommendations from the cocktail menu (try the Lake Minnetonka Mule!). Whether you’re coming by car or pulling up by boat, this is one of the best summer spots in the Twin Cities area. Plenty of parking, great energy, and fast service even when they’re packed. I highly recommend Maynard’s for anyone looking for quality food, good drinks, and amazing views.
