"Open since 1996, Mayuri Indian Cuisine and its affiliated bakery and grocery stores have been integral to and indicative of the growth of the Eastside’s vibrant Desi population. Mayuri offers dishes from nearly the entire Indian subcontinent, from Kerala’s fiery dry-fried seafood and the gongura of Andhra Pradesh (various proteins, often goat, cooked in a sour sauce of red sorrel) to rich Mughlai gravies and sweet carrot halwa (a dessert pudding of gently cooked carrot, condensed milk, sugar, and cardamom). Mayuri’s ornate space sports a full bar as well, and is open for takeout and in-person lunch and dinner." - Brett Bankson

This Mayuri is a place which holds up so many memories for me. As a kid, I remember coming here and being fascinated with the tree outside, and loving the food as well. Unfortunately, this place is closing permanently after tonight, so I won’t get to make or relive any memories, but it was nice while it lasted. Today, I ordered the same thing I ordered my first time here all those years ago and the food was wonderful. My dosa was huge, the sambar was flavorful, and I had a great time chatting with the friendly servers and owner. It’s sad to see this place go, but at least there is the bakery a few blocks away.

Loved the ambience, food and service. The host was very polite and gave us a seat quickly. Took decent amount of time to prepare food and food was awesome. Had good sambar after a long time. It has a bar and adds a good vibe.

Have been to this place twice. Each time the food has been good, but ambience and the experience went down. The food was good with lot of south Indian options along with Pongal, vada, idli.. We tried Pongal-vada and liked only the Pongal. The Gobi Manchuria is a hit or a miss and paneer Biryani is a fry piece with great Biryani flavor. The paneer is crunchy, but definitely could use some taste. Vegitarian fried rice was a disaster as they thew in a lot of cilantro. First visit was during a busy weekend and waiting staff and kitchen were yelling at each other along with loud music - we too had to get loud for our conversation. The second time they wanted us to sit across bathroom access place and when we said we are not comfortable, they wanted us to wait for someone to leave while half the space was unoccupied.

I went to Mayuri for the first time for office team dinner. We ordered a lot of food!! You can say almost each and every item available in the memu that day. For sure it was more than what I expected. But few of dishes are not at all good. As all you know we remember too good dishes and the one which are not at all good. These dishes tandoori, naan, mutton biryani, lollipops, Dosa, and Apollo fish are good. But I also ordered chicken fried rice, kodi iguru. Which is not all good. The chicken pieces in fried rice is not fully done and kodi iguru is not a fry at all it’s a wet chicken pieces !! Customer service: Too good !! I don’t exactly remember his name. But he is too good!!

This review is for our experience with Mayuri catering. Mayuri catered for our wedding and reception. We are so so glad that we worked with them for our food experience. We worked with Mahidhar who was very prompt in getting back to us via email and had a phone call to understand our needs. He set up a tasting for us and also helped us narrow down our menu. Most importantly, we wanted a catering company that would deliver, set up, provide chafing dishes, refill food as needed and clean up--Mahidhar worked with us to create a package that included service staff for our wedding who would work alongside our wedding planner and their staff. Leading up to the wedding, he helped us label which foods are vegan, had allergens etc. We also wanted our guests to have the experience of having a Thali style wedding lunch and he worked with us to provide rentals for 150+ Thali plates which after doing our own research for a long time, I realize is a huge feat. Mahidhar also toured our wedding venue and worked with the venue manager to figure out all the important details ahead of time. On the day of the wedding, Mayuri and their staff delivered 110%. After the ceremony, we walked in and the food was already set up, drinks set up, each with its own labels, steel Thali plates set up as we discussed. Everyone LOVED the food and it was authentic South Indian wedding food that we envisioned. After the wedding lunch, everything was cleaned up and the buffet set up tables were turned over for evening reception dinner. We also had an outdoor cocktail hour and all the appetizers were amazing and set up perfectly. Reception dinner was North Indian/Indochinese and again, the food was amazing!! At the end of the night, takeout boxes were available for the guests and for us to take food home. The venue kitchen and the buffet setup was cleaned up to venue's standards as well. We are very impressed and would definitely recommend Mayuri for catering services. Many venues in the Seattle area don't have Indian catering and don't offer service staff if not catering through them. Mayuri made our wedding day stress free and delivered on everything we discussed!

Food came out really quick, the samosas we ordered were luke warm, but the chutneys were delicious. The butter and Tikka masala sauce tasted almost identical. The chicken was a tad dry and rice a bit overcooked. The naan was delicious and huge portions. Overall I feel it was a bit overpriced.

Nupura Mohite

Google
The worst Biryani I have ever had in my life. We ordered paneer biryani and it was nothing but uncooked, non flavored rice with rubber like dry paneer pieces, million curry leaves with no masala. Extremely tangy and pathetic malai kofta and rubbery naan! Horrible food ever, and nothing was fresh to be honest, ruined my mood and weekend. Never gonna order or recommend anyone. Terrible!

Google
The coconut curry was a real knockout, bursting with flavor - definitely the star of the show. The biryani was mild, yet tasteful, a nice balance of spices. But the plain rice was a bit of a letdown, it was hard, probably sitting out for too long. So if you're heading there, curry and biryani are a safe bet.

Yelp
Mayuri has THE BEST lunch thali special. It comes at a very good price of $13! Everything is amazing on this dish. From the Butter Chicken too the Sambar to the Chutneys, this dish has fantastic value and makes big eaters like me very full. I would come back ANY day for the lunch special!

Bunny D.

Yelp
Good food, quick, fair price and welcoming environment. Nothing beats the sweet, savory and spiced aromatics in the air on a rainy Bellevue day. I came for a late lunch and the front desk area was packed and a bit chaotic. The host handled the stress and got us all seated promptly - within 5-7 minutes. He even checked up on me and other guests during our meal. Very nice people here. I ordered a chai and masala dosa. I enjoyed every bite of my meal! It's the perfect amount of food to fill me and not stuff me. Thankfully I have room in my belly to head over to the Mayuri Bakery and grab something sweet!

Yelp
A great spot for South Indian eats in Bellevue -- we ordered takeout from them to take back to Seattle, since we were out in the area and craving some authentic eats. We were able to order by phone and the food stayed hot and fresh through the drive back. The staff is really friendly, too! For the price, I think it was most definitely worth it -- I got a Shrimp Biriyani and Baby Corn Manchurian. The manchurian was really unique and I liked it way better than the traditional gobi. The biriyani was so flavorful and came with great raita. The portions are SO large -- it's great to share or you can totally have it for more than one meal. I'd love to come back to dine-in sometime, since some foods need to be eaten fresh. But overall, I'd recommend for takeout and would do it again!

Yelp
This must be my 100th time ordering from Mayuri and since its been a while I wrote a review, wanted to give a quick shout out. I ordered Fish Pulusu (Chappala Pulusu), Vijaywada chicken biryani and Andhra Chicken curry. Fish pulusu was too tangy for my taste. It was good, don't get me wrong but I prefer it to be spicier and not full of tomatoes. Andhra chicken curry had bone in chicken and was really flavorful, although definitely spicy for kids. Vijaywada biryani was awesome ! It was like chicken 65 biryani, with nicely marinated pieces of chicken 65. I also like their regular chicken biryani but wanted to try something different. All in all, Mayuri has never failed to show consistency in their taste and quantity at a reasonable price. I hope they revamp some of their menu with more Andhra dishes !

Yelp
I had the pleasure of dining at Mayuri Indian Cuisine, and overall, it was a delightful experience. I ordered the Mayuri South Indian Combo, and it did not disappoint. Dosa was great, with a thin and crispy texture that perfectly complemented the flavorful fillings. The puri was absolutely lovely, with a pillowy texture that was a delight to bite into. Each sauce provided with the combo was not only plentiful but also bursting with flavor. The combination of spices used in the dishes was expertly done, and the aromatics were simply fantastic. Additionally, I had the opportunity to try their mango cocktails, and they were a delightful treat. The combination of sweet and spicy flavors was well-balanced, and the cocktails were refreshing. The service at Mayuri Indian Cuisine was attentive and friendly, making me feel welcomed throughout my visit and the ambience is dimly lit, but cozy and welcoming. Mayuri Indian Cuisine is a wonderful place to indulge in South Indian cuisine.

Yelp
Really good & Tasty good.. Loved the Majestic Chicken.. Taste was like India.. Veg Kofta was nice but Dal Makhani was OK OK.. But all in all good food & good Place

Timothy L.

Yelp
I have been wanting to try more Indian spots on the Eastside and this place was pretty good. The menu was much more extensive and included more South Indian dishes, many of which I have been hoping to try. I tried the andhra chicken curry and the tandoori paratha. The curry was so good and spicy and the flavor made me want more. The paratha was also good and frankly addicting. It had a nice buttery feel and went well with the curry. Definitely want to come back to try more dishes

Sahitya M.

Yelp
One of the oldest Indian restaurants in the area. I was utterly disappointed with the food and the service For starters, they were rushing us to order, it's not like we have went right before closing. Coming to the food, we ordered Gobi manchurian, daal and gutti vankaya. The manchurian tasted like ketchup all over, daal was super bland. The gutti vankaya was decent compared to everything. Not something I would come back again

Andy R.

Yelp
In the funny words of Steven He..."what the HAIIIILLLL?" Mayuri restaurant food has really gone downhill. I used to like the food here and always have a good experience with Mayuri Chaat and Bakery. Tonight the chutney was watered down, the chicken was dry, the curries were watered down and the onion pakora looked like French's crispy fried onions. Disappointed to say the least and will not return.

Thoma E.

Yelp
Stopped in for the buffet and it was ok - seems to be alot of Indian options in Redmond and I think there's a better one than Mayuri nearby - withholding the name for that place, sorry.

Somya A.

Yelp
Raita was way too spicy. When I asked for yogurt, they said they were out - at 5:30 PM. Saag was too salty. I was one of the 3 tables and the service was still very slow. Ambiance and music was good. The space is nice inside.

Manbir R.

Yelp
Big space. Nice decor Tasty food. Dosa and dosa platter is almost the same thing except additional 1 idli and 1 wada. Carrot halwa was not upto the mark but ras malai was great. I must say that i really liked vegetarian biryani even though it was spicy like anything.

S L.

Yelp
Delicious chicken dum biryani. Generous amount of chicken. It falls off the bone. Food was ready before scheduled pick up time. After seeing the package, it makes me wonder if the food was pre-packed and heated up upon ordering.

Santosh S.

Yelp
Mayuri has been around for almost forever, and it's easy to understand why. The food is always good, and the service is friendly: Here's what I recommend if it's your first... or thirty first time dinning here: Apollo Fish Lollipop chicken Kahrahi chicken or mutton Kachumber salad Spinach naan Finish the meal with a hot chai. Note: food is better when dinning in rather than taking out.

Lionel M.

Yelp
note: been here 4 times. Service: 7/10 Both time had one FOH staff member that was on top of their game. They may have been Jamaican* if you get them, you're lucky. She alone would've got an 8/10 BUT i had another older Indian lady on my last visit that was so rude it actually caught me off guard. When leaving I asked for a to-go container & she looked me in the eye, scoffed, and walked away, came back with her iPad and started cashing other patrons out without even batting an eye in my direction. The lady that greets you at the door is all business but is very welcoming! Food: 7/10 First visit: I got the Hyderabad Dum Biriyani. Awesome portion size. Tons of chicken, good sauce on the side But the whole meal was extremely salty. Second visit: I got the South Indian Combo. it was really good! Third visit: I got the Paneer Karahi. It was some of the best I've ever had, Period. The complementing flavors and aromatics in combination of the spice (lvl. 3) makes for a very enjoyable meal. Fourth visit: got the Chicken Karahi. Too salty to eat. I think it had everything the Paneer dish had but sadly it was masked by all the salt. So I've come to the conclusion that they do vegetarian food really well. 8.5/10 for the vegetarian food 6/10 for the non-vegetarian food.

Angela T.

Yelp
We always have great food when we come to Mayuri. The only reasons I give 4 stars are because they need to bring back the lunch buffet and service can be a bit friendlier. Not that it's bad service per say, but it could improve.

Jay K.

Yelp
JK misses the days of buffet lunch at Indian restaurants. If he had a time machine to go back and appreciate the things we had before COVID, it would definitely be to eat way more Indian buffet. These days, Mayuri seems to be one of the few places that has something close to those glory days with their weekday lunch thalis. You choose a protein or veggie "main," which comes on a tray with a few other items, including a daal, a veggie side, rice, naan, raita and dessert (in our case, gulab jamun, which we find too sweet). At least you get some variety, though nothing like a true Indian buffet. The biryanis seemed very popular when we were there - something to try next time! Also kudos to them for having reasonably priced chai and lassi. (However JK wishes the chai had more spice flavor.)

Snitha R.

Yelp
Food taste is good/decent. But the quantity needs improvement - why would you not fill the to-go box completely when there is still room. We have to pay full price for the order/item but get less quantity for it. Would you accept partial payment for half filled food in to-go boxes that don't match what we have while dining in the restaurant?

Erin G.

Yelp
So far my favorite Indian restaurant in the US, yep you read that in the US. Outstanding flavor, service and variety. I have sent a number of co-workers over for lunch and everyone is blown away. I cannot believe it took so long to find this place. Hmmm, I wonder what is for lunch next week.

Molly R.

Yelp
We ordered chicken 65. It came cold and looked like this. 30 bucks (including delivery.)

Amanda J.

Yelp
I was excited to read that Mayuri was switching out their containers for 2023 per king county regulations. I even picked up a to go box a few weeks ago in a compostable box. Well, don't blink. It must have been just for the health dept inspection. I will no longer be supporting Mayuri until they switch out permanently. They need re usable plastic containers that are recyclable or compostable. Not a fan of melting toxins into my body. Mayuri is expanding and profit is more important then environment or health of customers.

Katherine S.

Yelp
I love this restaurant! I've only ever ordered the chicken 65 biryani and it is phenomenal. Super fragrant and I always ask for it extra spicy. It is a bit pricey at $17 so I wish they would add an extra cup of rice in there or a few more pieces of chicken.

YuJun L.

Yelp
Word of warning, food can be spicy if you're not used to it. Came here on a Friday night after checking out some houses and boy walking into the restaurant, you're greeted by the smell of wonderful aeronautics. My wife and I got chicken 65, chicken dum biryani, chicken korma and garlic naan. Each item was super flavorful and I thoroughly enjoyed all of them. Would recommend them all, but the chicken 65 was my favorite for sure. I basically licked the plate clean because the spices and sauce was just so good. Portions are pretty huge, but it was really easy to pack everything up and eat the next day (still delicious)

Brian F.

Yelp
I went into the store on a Saturday evening at around 6pm to make an order for takeout and it took about 20 minutes for my order. The restaurant is next to Can Am Pizza. There is a small parking lot in the front and more parking in the back. CHICKEN 65 ($9) - The chicken is tender, flavorful, and pretty dang spicy. The sauce is a little thick so it'd be nice to coat rice too. The lemon really brightens up the flavors. 5/5 HYDERABADI CHICKEN DUM BIRYANI ($12) - The rice is so soft and flavorful! It's probably the most flavor that I've ever had in a biryani. Similarly to the chicken 65 the onion and lemon brighten the dish up to bring out all those flavors. The chicken falls off the bone so easily it's actually amazing. 5/5 GARLIC NAAN ($4) - There's a decent amount of garlic flavor but not a lot. It's a little more expensive than I've seen for garlic naan (I usually see $2-3). The chewiness is good though and it's not doughy. 4/5 TIKKA MASALA CHICKEN ($14) - This was sweet and had lots of peppers. The chicken is good and there's nice spice on the finish. Compared to the two curries below it's a lot sweeter. It's a solid tikka masala. 4/5 GONGURA MUTTON ($16) - This was recommended by the worker when I asked for a goat curry. There were big and hot spices and it gave a nice feeling. The goat is tender and falls off the bone as well. 4.5/5 CHICKEN KORMA ($14) - Another curry recommended by the worker and I really should thank her because this was probably my favorite of the three. There are so many different spices that give the curry so much flavor. The spice itself was also very prominent. The chicken is a lot more tender than the one in the tikka masala. 5/5 For all the curries I ordered medium spice and I could really taste the heat. It you are not a fan of spice or can't handle tons of that sweet, pain-inducing spice, definitely get the minimum level of spice or ask for no spice. For me, I love that spice and expect it when I eat Indian food so I'm glad that this place does not hold back. I've been eating a lot of Indian food in the area and Mayuri is my front-runner right now.

vandna s.

Yelp
This is our favorite spot for dum biryani. We recently ordered food for our birthday party and Mayuri did not disappoint. The biryani was delicious as always.

Roger G.

Yelp
Forgot to leave this review this past Sunday..likely getting redundant since I've left them so many previous. Just another spectacular experience eating here and also seeing the owners/employees who are beyond exceptional..perfect match for the best Tikka Kabob on the planet ! My wife also once again enjoyed her great Masala Dosa. Very much looking forward to coming back on our next Seattle visit. For anyone reading this who has not yet been here ..I wish Yelp would allow me to give them 10 stars instead of 5.

George H.

Yelp
Starting June 2023 the lunch buffet is back on the weekend! We went today and had a great lunch with all our favorites. It seemed to be a little spicier than the past, especially the Butter Chicken, but it was all good.

Sophia S.

Yelp
We enjoyed this place! They gave a lot of food for the price - the lunch trays are a pretty nice way to sample a variety of Indian food! I ordered the butter chicken and it came with naan, rice, daal (lentil soup), a veg curry, and the dessert of the day (gulab jamun). We also ordered the Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani, which lasted us a few meals and was delicious! Not the tastiest Indian food, but definitely good, and not too hot - my spice tolerance is pretty low. My only complaint is the service. They took forever to give us our check once we'd wrapped up, we sat for about fifteen minutes trying to grab anyone's attention so that we could leave. They weren't the kindest wait staff either, but I won't complain too much given the portions for the price. I'll definitely come back if I'm in the area around lunch time!

Sarah K.

Yelp
Great Indian food! We had tried their buffet once and it was good for the price. We got take out recently and it was awesome! We ordered Chicken 65 biryani, Butter chicken and Vegetable samosas. They came with a variety of sauces and all tasted very good. I'd say overall the food was better than any other Indian takeout we had tried in the area! Great take out option during covid-19, just beware that the food is SUPER SPICY!

Wennie H.

Yelp
Huge portions, fair prices, decent food and super friendly service. Only gripe is that the outside seating area was littered with trash. But overall...we ate our fill and had leftovers for 2 days afterwards.

Salil K.

Yelp
Amazing authentic Indian taste. Wide choice of both veg and non vegetarian dishes. The manager is extremely friendly and so is the staff.

Neha W.

Yelp
Going to Mayuri was a huge disappointment today. We ordered Chicken Dum Biryani which was yellow orange bland dry rice with no aroma, no dum flavor and chicken was so bland as ifnot marinated or seasoned well before cooking . Huge Huge disappointment! Next dish was Andhra chicken curry was just okay..not much flavorful.Only thing that I liked was masala dosa. I am not returning to Mayuri for non veg entrees.

Fionna L.

Yelp
My family and I have been eating at Mayuri for many years. Every time I'm back in town, we have their lunch buffet, held Mon-Sun 11:30am to 2:30pm. We always feel welcome here. It's astounding how they prepare every uniquely spiced dish to perfection, especially those that require hours of careful simmering with quality ingredients. I try to sample every dish at least once and am always surprised by the flavor combinations, perhaps since I don't eat Indian food often, but moreso due to their developed flavors and quality ingredients. The two standouts in my memory are the butter chicken (amazingly creamy and savory with lots of meat! tender and aromatic. so good) and the bright yellow fruit custard (surprisingly light and sweet sauce that melts in your mouth). They also have many vegetarian options. In my humble opinion, this is the best Indian cuisine in the area.

Akilya T.

Yelp
Dine in available now during this covid time. When we stopped by it was empty, but still they asked if we had taken reservation. Well nope! They told ok this time, but said to reserve a table next time. We placed our order and soon all they were all served. The chicken 65 was salty, on confrontation, we got to know that the marinade was pre made, and nothing much could be done. Then the soups and samosas were served, and soon chicken biriyani as well. Our table was full! Soups and samosas we skipped to pack them up, after tasting a bit, biryani was yummy! Today we had the leftover samosas and guess what- we ordered for lamb samosas - 2 come in a plate. One was yummy and my hubby tried the other halfway and didn't think it was great- and when I checked it, it was keema, one samosa was veg- potato's and peas- all smashed up- yuck! I loved the soups, keema samosa and chicken biriyani But hated the salty chicken 65 and veg Samosa that was misplaced. Water bottles were served. Btw nowadays almost all restaurants have a QR code to scan on your phone for a contactless menu card!

Yelp
Great spot for Indian food, why have I not discovered this spot earlier? Came here for lunch, apparently they are pretty well-known for their lunch buffet, but I opted out of that because I don't want to get up to get my food plus I can't eat that much anymore, especially for lunch time. I mean, I didn't do a good job trying to stay light either, I ended up taking a nap afterwards from being too full. Their garlic naan is perhaps the best I've had anywhere. I don't know too much about Indian food so I usually order the same 3 items; biryani, tikki masala, & naan because that way I get a rice dish and a creamy dish that I can dip the naan in. Mayuri is it's own standing building in Bel-Red, super convenient to where I do inventory for my salon so it was easy to swing by. Plenty of parking also. It's a spacious restaurant with a lot of seatings so you don't feel bad if you're dining for a longer period of time since nobody is fiercely waiting for you to get up. Tell me about your experience if you've been here or is going to after reading this review:)

Fiona S.

Yelp
The dosa was excellent and the choice of chutneys. However the chutneys were ice cold and quantity was very very little! The thali was nice with quite a choice. Will definitely be coming back.

Marina B.

Yelp
With my fiancé being Indian, we come here a lot to shop next door and then grab a meal at Mayuri. From the restaurant crowd you can already tell that this is an Indian restaurant where they cook for Indians aka it's very authentic in every aspect - from the simplicity of the restaurant to the quality of their dishes. While I love their Veg Puff and Samosas, my fiancé adores their Chicken Biryani. All in all, a fantastic place for some authentic, flavorful Indian food!

Kent L.

Yelp
Their buffet is absolutely amazing. Stiff Indian buffet competition in the area, but this one does stand out in that they serve wonderful biryani, juicy tandoori chicken, and great lamb curry. I have been back 4 times and highly recommend this restaurant! Service is lacking a bit...like when I came one time (unbeknownst to me) 30 mins before closing, I would have wished they would have let me know before I sat down that they were closing soon, so food options were more limited.

Salman Z.

Yelp
Avoid at all cost Super unprofessional service. I placed an order and called them three times to confirm only to get there and find out it was not ready as I did not pay in advance. No one asked me for payment when I placed the order and when I proved why no one took payment I was told order is placed by a team in india and I had to call separately to make the payment. How on earth is someone supposed to know all this. Truly pathetic. I will make sure me and none of my friends ever go to Mayuri again.

Daren C.

Yelp
I was really disappointed that this (and many of their cohorts) place has not resumed serving their lunch buffets. Instead I ordered their rather pedestrian lamb curry lunch special which consisted of a slice if naan, a small dish of soup, a papadum and small servings of mixed veg. Curried chickpeas (my favorite of the meal), a chutney if some kind, a sweet and a small helping if the lamb curry with a side of basmati rice. This was all served on a metal tray which reminded me of a military lunch tray about 1 minute after I ordered it. As can be expected. It wasn't very good as the foods were not as hot as they should have been. I suppose it is as good as it can be if it was not cooked to order. The lamb curry was not plentiful. Nor was it hot. Nor flavorful. It should have been the star of the show, but it wasn't. Instead the chick peas were tasty and were decently spiced as well. All of it was premade and served not from the kitchen, but rather a substation adjacent to the dining room. Rest of the meal was just meh. Until this place resumes lunch buffet. I won't be back.

Jst A.

Yelp
Disappointed in the fish pulusu. The fish pieces got very stinky and very chewy of sitting out for a few hours.Fish pusulu is supposed to taste better after a few hours (or overnight), but this was completely opposite. i think a lot of inadequacies get masked when it is piping hot. Also, pet peeve - prefer the fish pieces to look like fish and not chunks and cubes like chicken.

Lisa L.

Yelp
We have tried many other butter chicken but this is hands down the best. Amazing food.

Mary J.

Yelp
The food here was pretty good. The service was friendly but a little slow. There was plenty of parking. I will be going here again for sure.

Asmita k.

Yelp
Love this place, we are eating here since 14 years. Best tandoori chicken, one place where you will get non vegetarian, vegetarian and South Indian best food. Highly recommended!!

Jeremy C.

Yelp
NOTE: Mayuri is still open during the 'social distancing' directive and they are doing a great job with to-go orders! I'm updating my rating to 5 stars, wince I've been visiting Mayuri frequently since my last update. The food is always excellent and the service is as well. I mostly get the same thing each time (the chicken lunch box) and it's very consistent. I usually pay by credit card, and Mayuri is one of the few restaurants that don't force you to pay a tip on to-go orders. They usually reset the default tip amount for to-go orders from 15% down to 0% before having you sign the authorization. I really appreciated this prior to COVID, although now I tip extra since they're staying open for the rest of us. Thanks Mayuri!

Yelp
We have eaten at Mayuri a number of times. However, this evening's meal was the most disappointing. First, one of the two curries we ordered was supposed to be vegetarian but instead had chicken. Second, the tandoori chicken was RAW in the middle. My husband thought I was exaggerating but he took one bite and actually had to spit it out due to it being raw. This place has a lot of memories for us which is why we ordered from them. I am sorry to say that this likely will be the last time.

Yelp
Mayuri is a popular spot for Indian food in the Seattle area. The typical crowd that frequents this place comprise of South Asian diaspora looking for a taste of Home. Mayuri does deliver on that. You can order a wide assortment of dishes from their menu which has both North and South Indian items, so lots to pick from I tried out the chicken 555 ( a popular appetizer here ) chicken biryani and mutton seekh kebab all of which were well made with a good balance of flavor and heat. Not terribly spicy at all.. the kebab was in fact more milder than I expected, but well made All in all a good place to start of you're trying out Indian food for the first time and good value for money

Yelp
First takeout food for us since isolating. We made a great choice in coming to Mayuri. The food was excellent, especially the lamb biryani, which was flavorful with tender lamb and beautiful long grain rice. The chicken tikka masala was also beautifully seasoned. Everything was packed up perfectly, and still warm when we got home. Loved this meal!

Yelp
Honest to goodness Indian cuisine. Good spread of curry and bryani options. Quick turn or to go if in a hurry but also fine taking your time.
