Where To Eat Near London's Best Lidos and Swimming Spots - London - The Infatuation

"If the weather is looking good, Mayyil—Lebanese On The Go is an ideal Hyde Park picnic stock-up spot. We like the tahini-heavy beef shawarma wrap and cheesy taouk but also the less traditional, but arguably more tasty, Philly cheesesteak-inspired ‘Philadelphia’ sub." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, sinead cranna

The 24 Best Sandwiches In London

"Beit El Zaytoun On The Go, an offshoot of Beit El Zaytoun, one of our favourite Lebanese restaurants, serves tasty subs like the Philly cheesesteak-inspired Philadelphia, or the cheese-drenched chicken fajita sub. It’s a takeaway spot in Kensington, right by Hyde Park, so if the weather is looking good, it’s the ideal grab-and-go picnic. The cupboard-sized space gets busy on weekends, so you’ll often have to fight your way through people waiting for their takeaway sandwiches to the self-ordering kiosk, but it’s worth the short wait. " - jake missing, rianne shlebak, sinead cranna

Beit El Zaytoun - On The Go - Review - Knightsbridge - London - The Infatuation

"Although we wish this Knightsbridge takeaway spot had somewhere other than four stools and a window-facing counter to sit, we’d still go out of our way for one of their excellent sandwiches. It’s an offshoot of Beit El Zaytoun, one of our favourite Lebanese restaurants, and the menu has some classic Lebanese wraps—our go-to are the tahini-heavy beef shawarma or the cheesy taouk number. There are also some less traditional, but arguably more tasty, subs like the Philly cheesesteak-inspired ‘Philadelphia’. The sandwich spot is located right by Hyde Park so if the weather is looking good, it’s the ideal grab and go picnic. I’ve been coming to Mayyil for a while now and have tried every sandwich — they’re all amazing. The meat is super juicy and flavorful, the sauces are perfectly balanced, and the fresh bread ties everything together. Also, don’t miss the fries, the cheesy fries and Parmesan truffle fries are seriously the best. If you want delicious Lebanese food on the go, this place never disappoints. Ps: This time we got the Philadelphia and the Cheesy Sojok, with cheesy fries and truffle and Parmesan fries. Absolutely delicious as always.

One of the best shawarmas you’ll find in London! The meat was juicy, full of flavour, and without the excess fat you often get elsewhere. Every bite was spot on. It’s a small place with limited seating, but the constant queues speak for how popular it is. The food is freshly prepared, and despite how busy it gets, the staff are friendly and the service is quick and efficient. If you’re a shawarma lover or just passing through, this spot is definitely worth a visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Ordered 20 minutes before arriving through the app and the staff didn’t notice the order so I have to wait while there which makes the app pointless. We ordered fries sandwich and Francisco, the fries one was okay but the fries itself was a bit hard and didn’t taste fresh, didn’t like the Francisco one at all it taste like dry grilled chicken with lots of mayo without another seasoning so couldn’t even finish quarter of it. I was putting high expectations on the food but it was a let down, the two stars are because the staff were nice and good.

Mayyil has the best, most authentic Lebanese shawarma in London. Not only is the food delicious, but the customer service is amazing. I’d highly recommend this restaurant and would come back again and again.

I have been a loyal client since it opened. But sincerely it is the second time that the bread is uneatable, I won’t go back anymore, I am done!

Absolutely delightful experience at this Lebanese sweet food takeaway in Knightsbridge! We tried the Classic Burger and Arayes with Sumac Fries, and both dishes were incredibly delicious. The flavors were authentic, fresh, and perfectly prepared. A special shoutout to Sami for the excellent service—he was friendly, attentive, and made our visit even more enjoyable. The food came out quickly, and the quality was outstanding. If you’re in Central London and craving Lebanese cuisine, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

My choice of the Lebanese Burger might not be what they specialize in but it's what I was craving and it satisfied that in a big way. Service was very good and with a smile. Small seating area but I got lucky and a place was vacated before my burger arrived. I'll definitely go back to try their other sandwiches and wraps.
