France’s Cap Ferret Is Far More Than the ‘French Hamptons’ | Condé Nast Traveler

"For a younger crowd I tried Mayzhou (Mayzou in the text), led by globetrotting chef Juliette Lacroix‑Wasover, where the menu changes daily depending on local ingredients and leans towards pan‑Asian flavours — dishes I noticed included five‑spice duck, fish tacos and doughnuts with a dollop of cardamom cream, making it an adventurous, ever‑changing option." - Johny Pitts

This is a restaurant recommended by lots of locals I have spoke to, and it didn’t disappoint. Food is amazing and all for sharing. Service is just as good. Definitely worth trying if you are in the region.

Me and my wife and her mother went yesterday for dinner. With an excellent time. The service is in English and French, which was very kind of them. Le canard à la chinoise was perhaps the best duck dish I've ever had. We also ordered curry, beef, tuna tartare , and maïs beignets which were also delicious. The food was excellent, the terrace seating was lovely, and wine was surprisingly affordable. Overall, we spent 120€ - pas mal for 3 people and many dishes.

The big draw here is the great atmosphere at night. It's full of energy and lively people. The drinks are impeccable with one of my fellow diners pushing an armangiac my way, leading to a groggy morning after. The food, I gave 4 stars; its tapas, sometimes I like the option of something a bit more substantial. Maybe I should have thought of that! 😀
