"The afternoon tea party is gaining steam out at Fairfax’s modern Middle Eastern restaurant. Parties of two to 50 can partake in the afternoon affair full of charcuterie, biscuits, desserts, sandwiches, cheeses, fruits, and veggies, all served to a backdrop of freshly brewed teas streaming from antique pots." - Tierney Plumb, Emily Venezky

had such a great dining experience on our first visit. The food was so enjoyable! Fresh, plentiful, and flavorful. Have to say... their restroom was so fancy! Not your typical restaurant restroom.

First time here, ordered to go because it was Christmas. Not always the best day for me for many reasons but the service was beyond amazing (the woman who took my order and gave me it) was so sweet and left a cute message on it that truly made my day. Happy Holidays and thank you for being open on a day that no one wants to work ✨ I will definitely be coming back. Update: 2 months later I decided to get take out again and as always it was just perfect, this place never disappoints :) pics below

I had an afternoon tea party with 14 of my friends at Mazadar and it was LOVELY! I contacted Ida to make my plans in advance who is friendly and easy to talk to, very attentive with regards to taking allergies and dietary restrictions into account, she's absolutely wonderful. The table was set up with so many delicious foods sweet and savory, we couldn't have had a better time. Some afternoon teas can be quite light, but nobody left hungry here and I keep thinking about the lovely masala chai we had! I would absolutely recommend booking an afternoon tea party at Mazadar, even as a party of 15 we were very well taken care of! My friends are still raving to me about what an amazing time we all had. THANK YOU for you hard work!!

stumbled upon this place after going to the ramen restaurant near by and WOW this is a MUST return to. the food was so good!! i got the mahicha pillow and the lamb shank fall off the bone with bone marrow still in there. the sauce that it was cook is was to die for. the chicken kabob was also excellent. the chicken was grilled to perfection and was juicy. it also came with bread which was so soft, hot, and freshly made in house. chickpeas were a must. i think i also came with bread the atmosphere was inviting and even has a fountain inside of the restaurant. the staff were all so kind. would definitely return.

Went here for Tuesday dinner with colleagues. The place is empty (but seems like lots of people order and just pick the order up) I liked the lamb shank I got. They are generous with food and the pricing is very fair. We all enjoyed our food. The starter sampler with hummus was nice. The rose-saffron ice cream was interesting. It's nice, maybe a tad too strong in flavor for me, but I liked trying it. Note that they don't really have alcohol on the menu though, if that's something you're looking for. They do sell bottles of Azerbaijan wine but that's it.

If you’re looking for an unforgettable Middle Eastern dining experience, this restaurant is a must-visit! The menu offers a fantastic variety, from mouthwatering kabobs to hearty stews, flavorful curries, and a wide range of delicious appetizers and rice dishes. Every dish is incredibly fresh and flavorful, with the bread being a standout—it’s hot, fresh, and made in-house in a tandoor, adding an authentic touch to every meal. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it perfect for both intimate dinners and large gatherings. This spot is ideal for family-style dining, with dishes meant to be shared and enjoyed together. We recently visited with a group of 11, and the owner went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. She was kind, attentive, and recommended the absolute best dishes for our group. It’s rare to find this level of hospitality, and it truly elevated our meal. This was our second time back in a month, and every dish was a hit! I highly recommend the lamb shank, koobideh, chicken biryani, borani banjaan, and veggie samboosa. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The food, service, and overall experience easily earn a 10-star rating. If you’re craving authentic Middle Eastern flavors with exceptional service, look no further. I can’t recommend it enough!

This place has beautiful atmosphere with amazing service. The owner makes sure she gets to know all her patrons, while giving excellent service! She is always so cheerful and kind. The food is delicious and the presentation of the dishes really makes a wonderful dinning experience. This place also makes for a great place for a quick bite or drink friends. You have to try any of their wonderful flavors of tea.

Local Mediterranean restaurant with diverse menu including several different types ethnic foods. The pita bread was good The lamb shank was tasty and probably the best entree ordered. The chicken wrap was good. However, several of the other entrees lacked seasoning. All in all, an ok dining experience that would be better if the menu was narrowed down to their best selections.
