From the time you walk in, to the time you leave the experience is 5/5. Everyone is super friendly, food is absolutely amazing, and super fresh! I ordered the falafel, classic hummus, and a chicken shawarma bowl. You get to pick your own toppings for your bowl, or pita. I highly recommend this place for a nice date night or even to-go.

My friend and I went there last night for dinner. What an amazing experience! The food was absolutely amazing, and there were tons of options for my friend who is gluten free and vegan. The hummus and falafel I got were great. My friend also got the hummus and the cauliflower and cabbage. Everything was fresh, and you could tell the hummus was homemade! The portion sizes were huge -- I had enough left over for a second meal. The pita bread that came with my hummus was great too -- right out of the oven. The gentleman that helped us was very kind! And the decor was lovely. Also the bathrooms were clean and smelt nice, which goes to show how much care they put in their shop. I can't wait to go back and try more food!

Loved it! We will definitely be back. Authentic, delicious food - our party of four had the falafel, chicken shawarma in a baguette, and schnitzel in a pita, plus the hummus + pita, baked cauliflower (yum), and fries. All so good! We were only able to eat half of it. Nice atmosphere - welcoming and open and not too quiet but not too loud - and friendly staff, too! We are all fans after our first experience here. Great value for the moey, too. Recommended!

Had to check out this place after seeing all the posts & reels on FaceBook. Definitely worth the visit. I love their Doner kebab style set up where you choose what you would like in your pita. You will leave with a circus in your mouth. Top notch service too. Highly recommend.

We drove two hours to try this new restaurant, and it was SO worth it. First of all, the hospitality (which to me is just as important as the quality of the food) was top notch. The owners are incredibly warm and welcoming, and truly everyone who works there is kind and friendly. Now the food… WOW. If you’re a Mediterranean lover or simply someone who appreciates delicious, fresh dishes, this place is for you. Everything was so fresh, so flavorful, and the prices are unmatched. The whole experience was amazing, and I honestly can’t wait to go back. If you live nearby, run, don’t walk, for a perfect Mediterranean experience. And if you live a little farther (like me), trust me - the drive is totally worth it. You won’t be disappointed!

This is such a welcome addition to Charleston and even happier it’s near me in West Ashley. I’ve enjoyed Israeli food in Israel and this is the closest thing we will get around here! We really enjoyed everything. The falafel salad and hummus with shawarma were both delicious. I really enjoyed all of their sauces as well. Friendly staff and nice space! Give them a try. You’ll want to return.

Heard about Mazal on tic toc, moved from LA about 4 years ago and have been craving Mediterranean food and this is a must go!! Get the hummus and roasted cauliflower, ordered the grilled chicken bowl and kabob bowl so much flavor with the pickled veggies and cabbage with the hummus!! AMAZING worth the drive from Summerville and will be back!!!

We wanted to try somewhere new to celebrate a birthday. We are so thankful we chose Mazal! The food was amazing! Everything we got was fresh and full of authentic Mediterranean flavors. From the baked cauliflower to the pitas to the salads, nothing disappointed. In addition to the incredible food, the service was top notch. The young lady taking our order was extremely helpful, and guided us through the different options. The owner came by multiple times to check on us and even blessed us with some desserts for the birthday celebration that melted in our mouths! Highly recommend!

New place, Israeli street food! This is something I have been waiting for in West Ashley for 20 years! Watch your step walking in, place the order at the register and continue down the counter to personalize the toppings. Tahini, baba ghanoush, humus, pickled veggies, mayo based red cabbage salad, vinegar based green cabbage salad. Pita was hot and fresh, chicken shawarma was sliced just for my pita, pickled veggies were pretty addicting! Love supporting delicious local restaurants. Love supporting Israeli businesses, love that food was lovingly prepared by the manager wearing a cross, and enjoyed by women wearing hijabs, as well as other people of color and those more secular, everyone just eating yummy food. Seating area was clean, new, and spacious with both cushioned booths and tables with chairs. There is also an upstairs for larger groups and an event room.

First of all the staff were very friendly. I ordered the classic hummus and a shawarma pita. The hummus is absolutely amazing. Smooth, creamy, fresh. Great taste. The pitas are also excellent. They're soft, fresh, fluffy. They definitely bake them in house. The shawarma was meh. The chicken tasted decent but it was thick cut and dry. I'm also not sure how fresh it was? They say on their website that it's cooked on a vertical spit but I could see in the kitchen that it came from the grill. Perhaps it was originally in the spit and then they warmed it up on the grill? I'm not sure - in their defense I did order 20 minutes before they closed but regardless of the circumstances it should be better. I'll return but I'll get a different protein next time. Overall, it was a good experience.

Israeli style falafel/hummus/schnitzel place with walk up counter. Good food, kind of expensive for the quality. If you have a craving it will do, but I didn't think it was anything to write home about

Do not miss or skip this place! Wonderful and helpful staff - the hostess gave me a taste of the turkey shawarma and it was divine. So tasty overall!!

They really transformed the feel of this building in the best way. Very friendly staff. Had the roasted cauliflower which was simple and delicious. Also ordered smash kebab bowl. The meat is yum and various fresh topping all tasty. Love the lemon sauce! Wish the fries were crispier but overall a great experience. Will be back to try other things. Wishing them the best!

Local Middle Eastern spot with lots of house made salads and sandwiches or bowls. Came with a group of friends and there was something for everyone!

Amazing food, so fresh and served hot. My friend said the schnitzel was so good it made them want to twerk... I will definitely be back!!! Only recommendation as a fan: move the water to a more accessible location and serve a sharper knife with the grilled cabage. Again 10/10.

I didn't know what to expect but the food was fresh and delicious! They make everything fresh daily and you can taste the difference. The Schnitzel and Hummus were full of flavor and the resturant was clean and inviiting. The staff were very helpful explaining the items, and were able to accomadate my allergies. I will definetly be going back

Really enjoyed my falafel pita today at Mazal. It was fantasticly delicious and very filling. Only $13 seems like a very decent price for such a great meal. I'll definitely be coming back to try more! Welcome to Charleston! mazel tov!! I give Mazal 10 out of 10 hearts!

The food is so good and fresh! I love the falafel bowl. The falafel is the best I've had and it he hummus and tahini is so yummy too! The place is very clean and everyone is so nice and helpful. This is my second time here and both times have been very enjoyable.

Everything we got from here was amazing. Clean ingredients, friendly service, and tasty food. We had the fries, hummus, kebab pita, falafel platter, and schnitzel pita. I'm really picky with this kind of food and everything was great. Flavors and textures were all spot on. Can't wait to come back here!!!

Excellent food, absolutely delicious. Such a welcome addition to the area. Authentic sides and tahini. I would bathe in that tahini if it was socially acceptable. Incredibly friendly and hospitable employees and owners. They did a great job renovating the interior, very chill and welcoming environment. Excited to come back and try more of the menu, looking forward to being a regular! No pictures to provide, I ate too fast!

Food was decent. Not much of a selection. VERY EXPENSIVE! Ridiculously expensive. I don't think that I will go back. Just not worth it.

Got a chicken shawarma pita and hummus with ground beef. Literally tasted straight out of an Israeli shuk. Highly recommend--whether you've been to Israel and want the flavors without the 11-hour flight, or you've never been and want an authentic first taste. Will be coming back here soon.

Delicious food. The kebab bowl was topped with two (thin) burger patties -not greasy at all. The felafel was tasty and freshly made. Overall, great Mediterranean street food.

We had been making the trek across the county to go up to North Charleston to a couple of our favorite middle eastern places. This is so much closer! Absolutely loved this fresh feeling Mediterranean gem of a restaurant! While traveling to Charleston on vacation, we saw an advertisement and decided to try it out back on the way to the airport. After heavy Thanksgiving turkey and the abundance of good bbq, we were looking for tasty, healthy, lighter faire. We new it was only recently opened but for only being a month new, it all ran smoothly. The kitchen was fully open and clean. The ambiance was a perfect match. We were very kindly walked-through the ordering process and amazing choices to eat. We went with a share so we could try a little bit of everything they had to offer. Amazing flavors! Beautiful presentation. Fresh pita bread. The smells, the sights. All the things!! Super friendly and we wish this new establishment all the best of luck and success. If this concept wants to move out west, we believe it would absolutely succeed in our home town as well! Thank you for the amazing lunch and hospitality!

Food was delicious. Service was friendly. Prices were very high compared to what CAVA or kairos charges for the same food. Hope they do well.

The food was delicious! I ate there last night and not only was every single thing I got incredible , but the service was also great. They were super friendly and gave us great recommendations. The chicken shawarma, the roasted cabbage..so tasty. We will be going back! And we are excited to be supporting a local business.
