Wow! Felt so fresh and clean. Very lovely new vibe for Hispanic/Latin foods. Impressive. Didn't buy anything... Prices seemed reasonable

Google
Super fresh and clean Latino supermarket with produce, salsas, fresh made tortillas, bakery, ready to eat and meat. Wide selection of foods needed to cook foods of Mexico and other Latin countries.

Nice place to get authentic ingredients and items harder to find in Nashville. They have a great selection of Mexican bread / sweet breads. They have an awesome hot bar where you can get a fast, good tasting, very inexpensive meal. The store is spotlessly clean and the employees are polite. Sometimes checking out can be a little slow. If you go at the right time, you can walk outside and around the corner to enjoy something going on at plaza mariachi.

A new business that looks very nice inside with well stocked shelves. The Plaza itself is beautiful and the live entertainment is top notch. Unfortunately their Hot Foods Chalkboard Menu pricing is confusing. We were also somewhat disappointed in the taste of our dinners.

I once wrote a five-star review for Mazfresco, but this business has seen a slow and unfortunate decline. The carniceria disappeared, then the bakery, and the nail in the coffin was the removal of the refrigerated and freezer section at the ack that once hosted an extensive collection of Mexican cheeses. The store doesn't even sell cotija anymore. What Mexican grocery doesn't stock cotija? My last visit was in mid-December of 2023 where Mazfresco was just a shell of its former glory with barely any products of interest, diminished produce options, and almost none of the items I use for Mexican cooking at home. Thankfully, we have an abundance of other options in South Nashville within a stone's throw of Mazfresco. But this business has unfortunately lost a faithful, 10-year customer.

We had a great time watching 30 Vice at Plaza Mariachi and sampling the food at different spots

Yelp
A delightful and tasty addition to the neighborhood. I visited Mazfresco Market with a group of friends today to have lunch from their hot bar. The smells here are wonderful and everything is well displayed and looks so enticing. It was hard to choose what to order as everything looked delicious. We settled on chicken quesadillas, fried wings with rice and beans, and three large tamales. Add two bottles sodas from the market and the total was only $17. Not bad. We sat outside in the sunshine and enjoyed our food amongst friends. Those with us had nachos, barbecoa, and tamales. We were all really impressed with the selection, quality, and price. The meats and seafoods here looked amazing and I plan on coming back for dinner options later. I can't wait to see the plaza once it fully opens.

Yelp
Great market they carry all my favorite things. I come here buy Mexican bread and a few other treats that I can't find at Walmart or Kroger. Love to come walk around the plaza as well

Yelp
Cooking Mexican for dinner? Try Mazfresco instead of your regular grocery store! Why? Because Mazfresco will have everything you need: meat (why don't stores in Nashville sell flank steak? I don't know, but you can get it here), cheese, spices, fresh produce (from avocados and limes to cactus and peppers), Mexican beers and candy, etc. etc. If you're making Indian or Chinese or Italian for dinner - don't go to Mazfresco! But if you're cooking Mexican or Latin American - Mazfresco might just improve each of your dishes with superior and authentic ingredients that can all be found in one place!

Yelp
Brand new gem in South Nashville. Fully stocked hot bar 7 days a week with daily specials. We ordered 3 pollo enchiladas with mole sauce and rice and beans ($4.99!) along with chilaquiles - freshly made tortilla chips, salsa, marinated pulled chicken, cilantro and queso fresco (also $4.99). Service was excellent - several folks asked us nicely if we needed to be helped in different areas of the store. The seafood on ice looked and smelled fresh. They sell ceviche in bulk as well. The panaderia smelled amazing. The butcher selection was diverse and seemed to be high quality as well. Will definitely return - can't wait to see what the opening of adjacent Plaza Mariachi brings!

Yelp
I found this store on Yelp and decided to give it a try. It is a cute little store in the Plaza Mariachi. I had never heard of either but am glad I went. The store itself is very bright and clean. There is some fresh produce, a bakery, a hot prepared food area and they also sell you fresh homemade tortillas. I got a pound of them for less than $2! They have a variety of food on the shelves. Mexican candies. Spices. Ingredients that you can't find at a Kroger and the prices were very reasonable.

Yelp
I haven't been happier to find such a gem! And so close to work! We actually noticed it one day last month while lunching next door. We walked in and was so pleasantly surprised to see how clean and organized and cute the market was (refer to my pics). We've grabbed a few pastries, which are only $.85 each, and shared with my co-workers. Today, I finally got to try the hot bar. I got the half-chicken and rice and beans. The chicken was delicious, crispy skin and tender meat, perfectly seasoned. The market is not big, but it has fresh produce, meats, seafood, a huge bakery, and dry foods. And there's patio seating! The staff are all nice and helpful. Really excited about the Mariachi plaza and new shops and dining coming.

Yelp
Mazfresco is an upscale fresh Latino market. You will be blown away by their selection of market items, fresh desserts, fresh bread & daily deli items. I had 4 tacos (under $5) and they were incredible. Both quality and quantity were unexpected greatness!!!! Mazfresco is part of Plaza Mariachi that is fully opening March 2017. The market opened in February. If you enjoy an authentic Latin American atmosphere with great food and friendly people this is a must. This place is super clean and represents Latin America with excellence and class! Go now! Vaminos!

Yelp
What does it take to get 5 Stars after 2 visits: effervescent friendliness, stalwart customer service, pragmatically priced lunch, delectable Deli sparkling clean store, gobs of free parking, and other superfluous adjectives

Yelp
Mazfresco has one of the best lunch deals in the area with 2 tacos rice and beans and other specials that change daily. I tried their chicken chipotle sandwich and it was amazing. I also highly recommend their shrimp ceviche but I would like to see them also offer fish ceviche. The grocery store offers a good representation of Latin American products and they also have their own in house bakery with a delicious selection of Hispanic breads.

Yelp
If you haven't been here yet, you must. I'm from Los Angeles so finding good authentic Mexican food is something near and dear to my heart. This isn't just good, it's phenomenal. The food is fresh, unbelievably flavorful, authentic yet still inventive. And, the prices are unbeatable. Especially for the high quality! Also what stands out to me is the employees and customer service. Literally every person who works there is excited about their job. That is a great and rare quality. They are friendly, helpful, and so informative. They are all genuinely excited to tell you all about their food and market. I can't say enough great things about it. Just go there. Do it. We go every Sunday after church now.

Yelp
Bought a tres leches cake. I'm about to eat it 30 min after I left and I find out it's spoiled. No expiration date on package. I live far enough that it wasn't worth going back for a refund. Won't be going back.

Yelp

Yelp
This is a much needed addition to our community! The fish + meat selections are phenomenal. Great produce. Also, try out the hot bar for AMAZING plantains, pastor, and rice!

Yelp
I think the Mazfresco Market is the real winner of the Plaza Mariachi, er uh, plaza. I didn't buy a whole lot, as I wasn't on a giant grocery trip. But the selection seems great, including the meat selection and frozen food selection. They have tons of cheese - cotija, queso blanco and more. And real Latin American candies! I made a taxi driver in Nicaragua go to a grocery store so I could find candy like this; there was none in the Nicaraguan grocery, but there is plenty at MAZFRESCO MARKET.

Yelp
This place is awesome! Just popped in to check it out, and there's hot food, a fantastic butcher, fresh-baked tortillas and bread, brilliant produce (at killer prices: $0.75 avocados!), and a very clean and cherry atmosphere. They smoke their own bacon and smoked salmon, have house chorizo (the sample was KILLER), and can sell me any cut of meat I need. Basically, this is the local grocery store of my dreams. I'm pretty in love.

Yelp
This is a great place! Definitely would recommend!! There are some cool shops inside and very very fresh food :)!!

Yelp
This is for the lunch counter. For $7 I got very good pollo rojo, Mexican rice, and refried beans (and corn tortillas). The only downside is that it's steam table and to-go, so by the time you get home, you'll have to heat it up. But it's better than many of the "authentic Mexican" restaurants around town. I'll be back.

Yelp
This might be the cleanest and best organized grocery store in the city. The meat and poultry is fresh. The seafood area is nicely presented and you don't smell fish! The produce ranges from not-yet-ripe to over ripe. It's good to find super ripe when you need it for today's meal. The fresh foods are in great shape. Best of all? It's affordable. Where else can you get dry aged steaks for such a good price? Easily $5-$8 less per pound than anywhere else.
