I only had fondue/"Chinese" fondue at family dinners, and I had no idea what to expect from a restaurant. We came here after a weekend of canoe camping, so we were starving for some good homemade meals.
At first I was put off by the prices. I thought it was a bit expensive for a plate of meat and a few sauces. I was also sadden by the fact that they didn't have any of their mushroom plates left. We started off with the escargot and onion soup. They were probably the best I've had so far!
The main course arrived, and I thought, "this is just a plate of chunks of meat". But once I cooked it and dipped it in the sauce, it was amazing! We both had the oil fondue (forgot the name of this), one with paprika pork and one with breaded beef. The breaded beef was my favourite, and the sauces complimented the meats very well.
Overall an amazing place, but because it's pricey we probably won't go every time we're in the area. It's definitely a treat once in a while though.
