Mazzah is incredible; I have never had a bad experience or bad meal here. Mazzah’s hummus and pita is unmatched; it’s one of the best I’ve ever had. I also love the falafel sandwich. The food is always delicious and the staff is always super friendly. I get takeout all the time, as well, and my order is always correct. Highly recommend!

I traveled to Boise for work pretty frequently and when I have to buy lunch for clients this is always my go to spot. The staff is super friendly and overly accommodating. the food is always delicious and the servings are abundant.

We loved Mediterranean food so we had to try. I have to admit the spanakopita was a disappointment. They warmed in microwave and took away the crispness of the phyllo and the spinach filling didn’t have flavor. The traditional gyro sandwich was very good. The Greek salad was good too. The fries and fry sauce rounded it out. The staff was super friendly and kind.

The Menu says " Bowl" of Soup. This can't be more than a 12 Oz cup. Doesn't really qualify as an honest Bowl of Soup does it? Paid $6.00 for this.

I'm giving 5 stars because the food was clean, fresh, and phenomenal. It did take longer to prepare but was well worth the wait. The 2 girls working the counter were very polite and helpful. I am Mediterranean so I know good food when I find it and this is GOOD. We are in town for a martial arts tournament this weekend and I've told everyone here about Mazza for the platters and shawerma. They'll be busy this weekend! Hope to see this company open up in Idaho Falls soon! We would keep them busy.

First time at Mazzah. Chris at the front was incredibly helpful and friendly. He answered all our questions and helped us figure out the best options. Food was quick and Mark in the kitchen did an excellent job! I will definitely be going back. Would highly recommend for anyone who is looking for some delicious and affordable Mediterranean food.

Best Mediterranean food I’ve ever had and you won’t find a better Tziki Sauce!! My wife and I always make it a point to eat here whenever we’re in Boise. We discovered it through a buddy who lived in the area for a few years.The employees are also so chill, they’ll take care of you.

I can't believe it's taken me so long to review this place. It's our go to Mediterranean restaurant. We actually pass about 4 other Mediterranean restaurants on our way to visit Mazzah because their food is so good and the prices are so fair. Of course, my favorite thing to get at any Mediterranean restaurant is a typical gyro. I highly recommend this here. You have to get a side of the french fries as well because they are just so good. They offer fry sauce which of course is delicious but we also like to get a side of tzatziki and dip the fries in tzatziki. It's better than ranch! I'd rate their tzatziki, a five out of 10. Their gyro sandwich is a 9/10. They offer a very generous portion of meat and toppings for the single sandwich. Their plain hummus is another favorite . It's well worth the $8.50 that they charge for a side of hummus and pita. You get a lot of hummus and the flavor is spot on. This is a great shareable appetizer . Rating 10/10. Finally, another thing that I highly recommend is the baba ghanoush. This is an eggplant dip that you wouldn't necessarily know as eggplant, it's blended together with spices and It has the perfect blend of smokiness and flavor. I rate this a 10/10. It is perfect with some pita and is well worth the price for a large side of it. Very shareable. This is a counter service restaurant, you order and pay and can eat in or out on their sidewalk patio. Every time we visit, it seems that the majority of people order it to go. No matter where you decide to consume it I highly recommend this place. Located off of State Street in a shopping center with generous amounts of parking.

Imagine spending over $100 on dinner for your family of five -- and they "forget" one of your kids' meals. Then the children's food doesn't come out with the rest of the family so the kids are sitting waiting to eat. They tell you "sorry we dropped their food." Then they bring only one kids meal out and tell you didn't pay for a second child's plate. We order from here every week, but this time was next-level chaos and the manager didn't even apologize. Says you can wait and pay for another meal but we're closing. Food? Service? Absolute disaster. Terrible management. Maybe try serving what people actually ordered before arguing with paying customers and being unapologetic for your mistake. Isn't the customer always right? We left with a hungry child and no real apology. Lost a customer.

The food was fantastic I got a veggie kabob rice bowl and it was delicious. My whole family enjoyed their meals. I feel it was a great value for what we got too.

Not the worst but definitely not the best gyro. The presentation looks great. It was fast and the employees were clean and fast. The bread was a bit dry. Which in combination with the dry feta. Which seemed to be a low grade brand. It left the gyro dry. The iceberg lettuce can work but not when you cut huge pieces and it eats more like a salad. The lamb was very good. The gyro needs some help with the ingredients and how items are cut.

I love the food here. So much variety and ease to build your own meal / platter to get all the yummy things. The staff is also incredibly friendly. The person who took my order was super helpful and explained various dishes without sounding the least bit annoyed. As I was leaving someone came in who was very likely quite high on something and asking prices of various things and the person dealing with him answered so quickly and pleasantly and was so professional thru the entire interaction.

Food great. Alot of food, 3 meals in 1! I'll definitely go back for take out!!! Lacking 1 star due to cleanser smelling restaurant....it smelt like a bucket of PINESOL/ LYSOL AND BLEACH was wiped all over the tables/ chairs and floor...WAYYY TOO MUCH SCENT OF CLEANER while I ate I'm sorry but find something less scented! Will be back for sure though!!!!!

The food was SO GOOD, and this is coming from someone who grew up near Dearborn and has visited the Middle East. The homemade hot sauce is fantastic! The staff was also extremely kind and helpful, and ensured my meal was prepared in a vegan manner. Note: the gyro style falafel wrap has cheese, but the traditional style is vegan.

Every time I get Mazzah, everything is fresh, the chicken is perfectly seasoned, rice is fresh the pita bread is warm 10/10

Service - refunding food doesn't make up for the lack of attention that your employees have. I wasted 30 min of my time for your employee to give my food to someone who ordered way after me. He didn't even call the name on the ticket. The job is not hard. And yes I'm hangry now.

Service was fine. Food was basically Mediterranean fast food nothing really stood out. We had the classic and the meat was kind of blah. Not really anything great about this place but it'll definitely make a turd.

You guys changed your ingredients to lower quality and it shows. Used to order delivery all the time from you last week the chicken was totally different and rubbery beef was chewy and the rice had barely any flavor. Everything was dry and tasteless. What a shame. Won't be ordering from you again.

Mazza Meditarian used to me one of my favorite places to get a gyro. I haven't visited in a couple years because I no longer work in the area. I was very disappointed today. I ordered a traditional gyro without lettuce or tomato. It was served to me cold. The pita was cold and the meat was cold, both like they had been served straight out of the refrigerator . I've never been served a cold gyro before.

Stopped for lunch yesterday. Ordered the classic Gyro with fries. Lettuce had a strange taste to it, and was the main ingredient. There was a lot of it. Very little meat, two slices of tomato, and a small drizzle of taziki. The pita was over grilled to the point of being dry and crunchy. The basic fries were the best part of the meal. How sad. It later wrecked my system, and I felt ill the rest of the night. This place used to be really really good years ago. Will not be coming back anytime soon. Service was great would give them 5 stars.

Great place for when you want to satisfy that Mediterranean craving. I enjoy the gyro bowl but have also tried the falafel, lentil soup and fries in past and they were all pretty good. One of my favorite spots!

I love their gluten free falafel with tahini sauce. Plus, their rice with lentils. Yum! They're always able to accommodate my dairy and gluten free needs!

The food is delicious! It's very fresh! If you love Greek food, this is the place to go! My favorite is the chicken kebab salad or the Greek salad! Today, I had the Greek salad with an extra round of pita! The staff is very friendly and helpful! I love that this is so close to my work and I can get a healthy, tasty meal at lunch time!

Used to be my favorite place. Ate there at least once a week. The last time I visited the food was inedible. Chicken was nasty! My daughter and I could not stomach it. We asked for a refund. I miss the "old" Mazzah.

Bit of a joke- ordered delivery via Uber eats, got 5 pieces of "side of fries". They took the side a bit too seriously. You deny me my fries is ID, such blasphemy. Maybe is was 4.5 pieces, anyways my waistline sends you regards. Rest was a big whooping meh, so I'll see you in 2123.

Very disappointing! I ordered the bowl and loaded it with all kind of extras to sample everything, only to be repeatedly disappointed. The rice was flavorless, the shawarma meat bland, the kofta skewers plasticky, the pita bread definitely poor grocery store grade, not house made, the only part of the meal that was acceptable was the hummus and falafel. I tried every middle eastern restaurant in town, and this one is by far the worst, as for Lebanese food, I'm not sure it even qualifies.

I did takeout- it was fast and delicious! I got the chicken kabobs with rice, pita and hummus.

Today I stopped for lunch and ordered a falafel bowl. I've eaten here in the past And it was delicious. I was disappointed by this bowl- all it had was falafe,l rice; and some Pita bread, there was no tomato or cucumber or any vegetable.

Mazzah food is of good quality and is consistently good after 20+ years. I recommend: Gyro Lentil soup And falafel That said it makes sense to check your order on pickup. They have missed or messed up orders more than once. They are consistently good quality but also consistently missing on order assembly.

Loved this place ! The food was so yummy. Prices are very reasonable and the staff is friendly. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor sitting.

We were recommended to try Mazzah and it did not disappoint. I really liked that they have vegan options as well as a menu that allows guests to create their own menu inspiration My wife ordered the chicken kabob with rice and I ordered the stuffed grape leaves, dolma, and hummus as well as the Za'atr bread. The staff member who took our order was so patient with us and really helped us navigate the menu and choices. We were not sure if we would be able to dine in but after confirming with the staff, we were able to have a date night inside a restaurant. Another staff member stopped by and let us know that the kabob would be prepared to order with a 15 minute wait time. It was not an issue as it allowed us to spend more of our date night in a restaurant together. NOTE: At this time, about a month ago or so, we wore our masks until our order arrived, and when our order arrived and shortly after our server left, we carefully removed and stored our masks to begin eating. All of the dishes arrived and they were stunningly presented. The chicken kabob over the bed of rice in the bowl was aromatically pleasing and the rolled / stuffed grape leaves were perfectly presented. The hummus was freshly made and the Za'atr bread was the most mysterious. I went for the Za'atr bread first as it really intrigued me. The spices were an overload but not in a bad way, just in a new way. It was sparks and fireworks in my mouth all at the same time. Crazy and ridiculously tasty. The hummus was just right. It was not overly lemony but it was not dry and the pita bread was warm and crisp but not burnt. The rolled grape leaves aka Dolma were sticky sweet on the outside and stuffed with spices and flavors inside. They were my absolute favorite of everything we tried. My wife really like her kabab and rice. The charred cubes of chicken and onions were just right. Throughout our meal, multiple staff came over to check on us and visit. Afterwards we each had some Turkish coffee and some baklava. The coffee is out of world experience. There's chicory and other spices. It's strong to be sure but the perfect after dinner drink. My wife gently savored the baklava and commented on its sweet sticky notes with its crunchy pastry crisps. It was a date night to remember and we're looking forward to coming back soon. Mazzah Mediterranean Grill is Boise's second oldest Mediterranean restaurant. The first was Cazba, which opened in 1990 and closed in 2014. Mazzah, which is owned by a wonderful Palestinian family, opened in 2008 and has been voted Boise's Best Mediterranean restaurant ever since. Located in a strip mall across the street from Albertson's on 16th, Mazzah is a great option to consider when seeking Mediterranean food. There used to be a second location on Park Center, Boulevard in Boise, but it closed in 2021. Like many restaurants, Mazzah streamlined it's menu in 2020. But they also redesigned it to a Build Your Meal model, which I don't care for. The terminology makes it sound like it's fast food, which it isn't. Almost everything is made in house, and from scratch. I preferred the original menu, which offered Appetizers, Platters, Salads, Desserts, and platters instead of bowls, and lots of sides to choose from. The inside of the restaurant has a very casual/ quick service vibe. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. They do a lot of takeout orders. Most restaurants don't perform as well when putting together takeout orders, compared to on site dining. Mazzah is the exception. Whether you dine in or choose to do takeout, you can be assured you're going to get the same meal. These are photos are from a takeout meal a couple of weeks ago. I ordered a rice bowl for $10.50, which is "your choice of protein served over a bed of rice with warm pita." For my protein, I ordered Beef Shawarma, which cost $1 more. Prior to visiting, I studied the menu because I find the new ordering system rather confusing and wanted to be prepared. When my order arrived, I was surprised to see that my rice bowl didn't come with vegetables as photographed. When I asked about it, I was told that the photographs on the restaurants website menu are old, and they don't serve it that way anymore. I was told if I wanted it to look that way, I would need to add on an order of a vegetable skewer. It would've been nice if that had been offered as an option from the start, as well as noted on the menu. As much as I wanted the vegetables, it didn't make sense to order them that late in the game because the rest of my food would've been cold. I also got a large order of Hummus and Pita ($8.50). I asked for a side of tzatziki and garlic sauce to go with my beef Shawarma. I enjoyed my meal, but I prefer the Gyro meat to the Beef Shawarma. It was a generous portion of food that made several meals for me. I recommend you compare the photos of Mazzah's food to the ones for my recent review of Zullee Mediterranean Grill in Meridian. Pay close attention to prices and food quality. I don't normally mention other restaurants at all in my posts, but I am making an exception this time because Zullee, which is a franchise, is getting a lot of buzz, while family-owned restaurants like Mazzah often go unnoticed. Highly Recommended!!!

The ladies working the counter were SO welcoming. It was our first time in and their comments and help with the menu was much appreciated! I ordered a traditional gyro meat gyro and some hummus on the side. The spicy tzatziki sauce was AMAZING. I would def. suggest adding that spicy to your meal. Great flavor in the meat, great seating available inside and outside and the staff is so friendly. We will def. be stopping by here more often!!

Food is delicious & quality. They are slower to prepare but it's worth it. Chicken is always juicy & tasty. You get a lot of food for the money spent.

My friend recommended me this place because it was the first place she'd had Mediterranean food. She loved it. I've had a lot of Mediterranean food in my life and I will say this is alright. The protein portions are really small, the sides are teeny tiny. Their soup is $4 for a small cup. Good tasted great but the prices are CRAZY!

I give 4 stars for the food and 3 for decor and upkeep. I ordered the traditional gyro and was not disappointed. The pita bread was especially nice, and was as soft as a babies bottom. The meat was tasty and well seasoned, and the fries were hot, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and perfectly salted. Pretty basic gyro with good flavors and did the trick satisfying my empty belly. The place is quite a bit outdated, run down and not of the standard of cleanliness in the front house as I would expect, but I suspect that it probably looks a bit dirty (and may not be) simply because it's a bit run down. I heard through the grapevine that the owner is planning on an upgrade/remodel and I am hopeful for that since that would definitely take the place up a notch. The service is very good and the staff are always helpful and friendly.

This place was a hit for our bday party! The team at Mazzah was super helpful making recommendations on apps and portions for our party size. The food was fresh and perfect for a hot summer day. Highly recommend this place!

Food was delicious and portions were generous. I was surprised that my gyro bowl had only meat and rice -- no veggies at all -- but that's on me for not asking more questions when reading the menu. I'll order differently next time but there will definitely be a next time!

The food here reminds me of my time in Israel. I've had Mediterranean food in the US, but honestly this is the best I've found here. The falafel was tender and flavorful, the tzatziki delicious, the lentil soup was so good and on and on. I'm glad I found it!

Good food and service. I ordered the chicken shawarma bowl. I was disappointed that the veggies were all extra, otherwise, it's just rice, chicken, and pita.

This place definitely continues to decline with time. Taking away the platter option and vastly raising their prices was the beginning of their decline. I don't know why they took the platters off the menu. I can only think pure greed. What a shame. Food isn't even that great anymore, WAY different than it was years ago. I got a kids meal for takeout because I'm not able to eat much. I ordered it with the chicken kabob upgrade and mujadara upgrade plus one falafel and it included one little cup of tzatziki and tahini sauce. This came to $11.00. Total rip-off. The chicken kabob was tiny, had no vegetables (guess they assume kids don't like them?), the mujadara used to be so good. It's pretty pitiful now. Barely any lentils, and the fried onions are now just scant and crispy whereas they used to be a mix of succulent caramelization and crispiness. Portions back in the day were plentiful. Even adult orders there now aren't that plentiful. The chicken kabob wasn't that good. Not much flavor and the chicken lacked juiciness. Rice is meh. The tzatziki sauce is very good imo. It was the best part of the dish. The pita bread does taste like store bought but it has a nice crispy edge on it which I enjoyed. The falafel I got definitely didn't satisfy my craving for a good falafel. It was really small and dry and pretty flavorless. The tahini sauce was a big letdown. It tasted just like plain runny tahini. I get Boise doesn't have a lot of ethnic places especially if you're close to downtown or the north end and don't want to drive too far. I look forward to getting a truly good Greek place that delivers quality for the price. Sad to say Mazzeh has become very pedestrian and places profit margins over customer satisfaction and value. Update - came back today for the only two things I liked. Tzatziki and pita bread. It was $4.25. Was expecting a little larger than this container? This place really rips you off. Reduced a star for this tiny portion for $5.50 with tip and tax.

First and only time ordering from here. So disappointing. What was advertised vs. what I got. No pita, no veggies, just a $14 bowl of rice and kebab.

Lentil soup. Greek salad. That. Might be one of the best lunches ever. Matzah makes an amazing version of it. Their lentil soup is rich and creamy and has bright spices with lemony tang and some zatar flavors. The Greek salad is full of fresh vegetables like cucumber and tomato chunks, giant olives, spring greens, and onions, covered with an oregano vinaigrette, and then topped with feta cheese. The two together are more than enough for a meal. However, I like to add an appetizer of pita bread with hummus because theirs is amazing. The hummus is super creamy. I've made hummus before and it's easy to make it gritty or grainy, but theirs seems to be made from freshly chickpeas. It had just the right balance of garlic and olive oil, and Ian perfectly balanced. It pairs well on their freshly-baked pita bread, which they often serve warm. If you need more food after that, they have baklava as a dessert which is amazing. It has a thousand layers of crispy puff pastry layered with honey and pistachios. It's super sweet and sticky and addictive. Be prepared to make a mess. Sometimes the store can be a little messy, and the prices here keep going up. I wish they'd serve larger portions for what they charge but I know costs for everyone are increasing so I understand what's they're fighting against. Quality food costs money and Mazzeh is worth it.

The salads are amazing. Decently priced too so I can visit often. Can't go wrong with any gyro either. Good hummus too.

Boise isn't exactly renowned for its food, but I'm two for two. Between Han's Chimaek and this maybe I'll have to stop through more often. I was highly pleased with my chicken shawarma (the garlic sauce was dope,) and my wife's lamb/rice bowl was likewise very tasty. A very positive experience overall, and the service was not too shabby. I will be coming back at some point.

I would love to give this place 5 stars, and based on my first 2 times here, I probably would have. It kept us coming back consistently. But something changed earlier this year and the food started coming out burnt...one time it was so burnt that I was shocked they actually served it to us. The size of the chicken kabobs is so inconsistent - one day you might get really amazing juicy pieces, and a few days later you'll get shriveled, dry, burnt crusty bites. It's hard to gamble on lunch when it isn't exactly cheap. Also, it's always borderline dirty...could use some updating. M Staff is super nice and it gets really crowded. The wait can be really long. One day, about 5 groups showed up at the same time and they actually turned the last group away...I was like wow, did that really just happen?

I love Mazzah! The food is always consistently delicious. Very fresh salads and the hummus and baba ghanoush are good. Our kids love the thinly cut chicken and beef shawarma bowls with rice. All the gyros and kebabs are also great. We go here often and have never been unhappy with the food. Highly recommend.

Most of staff here are very young but they seem to work hard and are very friendly. The food is delicious and some of the best Mediterranean I've had - definitely the best in Idaho and a few other states I've lived in. I only order the chicken kabob and I've had the hummus so I can't comment on all of it but what I've had is yummy!

This place checks all the boxes of what I hope for in a Mediterranean place. Attentive and personable staff, good food, good portions, good prices. We really enjoyed eating on the patio!

My friends and I went here after volleyball, so it's not surprising that we were all starving. I ordered the traditional gyro and fries. I've only been to a handful of Middle Eastern restaurants, but I thought the gyro at Mazzah was above average. My friends agreed. It had the right proportion of lamb, beef, tzatziki sauce, onions, tomatoes, feta cheese, and lettuce. My buddy ordered Turkish coffee and I gave it a shot. It was very powdery and not very tasty, which I strangely enjoyed. Customer service was great. I requested a ten-minute delay on my order while we waited for my other friend, and they were fine with it. Mazzah is a quick-order/sit-down type of place, so it's perfect if you're looking for a quick bite. Will I come back? Absolutely! They have a pretty extensive menu. Will try their baba ghannooj and shawarma and kabob sandwiches next time!

I love this place. The food is amazing and the service is always amazing!!! I crave the food all the time!!

I usually love it here, but today I had the worse service. These little boys that were hired are awful, they don't care you can see in their face and how they respond in general was just trash. The poor manager is having to babysit these boys to do their jobs right and care. They are not putting in orders correctly they are not taking the proper time to do their tasks. We have waited over 30 minutes for 1 plate and hummus that's it!! I already know what the issue is here, it's the new employees time to do a 90 day review, my professional advice.
