Food is always excellent. Love the chicken pasta dish and the cheese curds are very good. I little on the expensive side for lunch. But nowadays what isn't expensive.

My wife and i have gone here since they openned. Its always been great, until recently. the ribs we have been getting are just bone, thats it, the burgers have gone from really great burgers to a mystery patti that tastes more seasoned that like beef. then there is the carne asada, a favorite of my wife and i for a couple of months now. but today, this broke the cammels back. this meat is un cuttable and un chewable. its sitting next to my desk as it is un edible. im sure they are going to come up with some of this "beef is expensive and hard to find" stuff. then just dont offer this. its nothing by tendons and you have to rip it apart with your fingers as you try to chew it.

My friends and I decided to meet to have a Friday night ladies night out. This was our first visit. The menu and prices were good lots of choices for all diets. My friends had wine and enjoyed it. The waitress was very attentive and the food was good. Overall, we enjoyed our time and would visit again. They do play music sort of loudly which we didn't mind but if u are going to have a chat or don't like louder music then probably not the place to go. It was busy and everyone seeded to be enjoying the place.

I've been here several times throughout the day for lunch and I must say that I am a fan of this bar. They have awesome daily specials on food and drinks and their food is good. I've had several dishes from them and stuff like the Shepard's Pie and Cajun Chicken Pasta you can tell are pre-made and reheated. Especially their pasta because reheated pasta drops so much oil/butter at the bottom. Their burgers, wraps, and paninis are fresh and good. I don't ever recall having reheated fries at this place which is great. I always forget to take pics of the food but will take them in the future and add them in the future. Service is great and is military/veteran friendly.

I came here on $6 burger sunday. On the menu, under “burgers” I ordered the paddy melt. I guess Mr McBride doesn’t consider the paddy melt to be a burger even though it is under the “burger” section of the menu as i had to pay full price for an okay paddy melt. i’m sorry that the mcbrides menu participates in false advertising and doesn’t clarify that the special is just for the lamest burger.

Really great bar food. In my opinion this place is a noticeable cut above normal bar / burger joints. They have all the regulars and a few unique items that are really good. They do a great twist on egg rolls and the burgers are fantastic. I hadn't seen the triple smash burger, I think it might be new-ish, holy sh*t it was great. So damn good and I don't know what they put in the sauce but it was delicious. I got four different types of fries with the four meals and that was really fun to try them all. Great neighborhood bar, excellent food. We do take out there pretty regularly and that will not change anytime soon. Thanks!!

Came here around noon on a Thursday. Bartender was the server, about 10-15 people inside. She was great, very attentive and personable. Food came out quick and was actually very good. Place is WAY bigger then it looks from the outside. Will definitely be coming back.

Katie was my server. She said this was her first day back in 4 years! I had the best cream of potato soup I've ever tasted! Chunks of potato.... green onions..bacon bits.. cheddar.. I had the meatloaf dinner. Two slices...with mashed potatoes and broccoli YYUUMMM!! KARAOKE on Wednesday nights!! Gonna come back later tonight.. **************************** KARAOKE EXPERIENCE: Its supposed to start at 9 pm... Running a bit late.. 9:25. Not a fan of the music he was playing.. Sounds like house music.. or grundge?? 3 security guards for this place?! I orderd the egg rolls flight .. DON'T BOTHER!! GREASY..OIL NEEDS TO BE CHANGED.. Mozzarella sticks were decent.

I walked out of this place feeling genuinely shaken and embarrassed. The bar was almost completely empty, and the lack of any real ambience should've been my first warning. All I did was ask for a menu before ordering, and somehow that simple question turned into a moment that made the entire room stare at me. A male customer suddenly yelled across the bar that the kitchen was closed--even though the bartender had already told us. When I calmly said that we hadn't asked him or spoken to him at all, the bartender started yelling at me instead of addressing the man who caused the issue. I couldn't believe it. It was humiliating, and I felt small, confused, and completely unwelcome. I couldn't even finish the drink I paid for because I was so uncomfortable. No one should walk into a bar and walk out feeling like that. I won't be returning.

We have been to the three McBride's in the area and they all had great food. Their fries were always crispy, meats marinated and cooked well. The All you can eat fish & chips are huge portions. The au jus for their prime rib dip is scratch made and different than the usual but delicious. Service has always been good as well.

The best food ever!!! The menu has so many good options it is hard to pick just one! We always stay for karaoke on Friday nights and have become some regulars :)) Service is always amazing with great people!

Service is always great. Great local spot for a drink and some food. They have Bingo on Thursday, Singo on Mondays. Great for families especially on Wednesdays because kids eat free.

Dingy little place but the drinks are a reasonable price not too expensive. great place and the staff are friendly.

Friendly staff, laid-back atmosphere, and delicious food: this place is a winner! Make sure to try their yummy warm pretzel bread with beer cheese dip and any of their juicy burgers.

Ordered a rib-eye sandwich it was paper thin and had no taste full of fat and tuff Onion rings were greasy Hamburger we ordered had a big raw spot in the middle food not worth it yuck!!!

We stopped here while out running an errand and I am so glad we did. The interior has a pretty typical bar/restaurant layout. The place was clean, the vibe was good, and it was pleasant. We felt comfortable immediately. I really liked the music playing, and it was at a good volume; we could easily have a conversation. My husband noted the men's room was nicer than he expected and very clean. There was a lone server handling the bar and the seated patrons--honestly, I was impressed by the service we received given there were a decent number of people there. I think her name is Karen if our receipt is right. Props to her, she was fabulous! Very prompt, friendly, and accurately anticipated our needs. The food was excellent. I had a Reuben with French fries, my guy had a prime rib dip with mashed potatoes and gravy. The cheese pull on his sandwich was impressive and the my Reuben was better than most I've had--flavorful and moist despite that I asked for no dressing. The fries were perfect, too--my husband stole like half of them. His meal was the perfect size, mine was generous for my appetite; I ended up taking home half the sandwich and a good portion of fries (despite sharing with my husband). Overall, we thought it was a good value for a very good lunch. Will happily return and recommend!

Back for the holidays and stoped at our old spot for a bite. Same warm atmosphere, same good food, same good service. Wish they could clone it and move it to my new neighborhood..

Best counter tops in town. Come here for penny therapy. Drinks are on point. Service is top notch.

The atmosphere & music here is second to none. I moved in the area dang near a year ago. This is one of the closest joints to me so naturally I go check it out. Walked in & was shocked at how deceivingly large it was, considering it looks fairly small from the outside. There's this gritty, but good, atmosphere with classic rock/alternative rock always playing. Giving that feeling that you're truly in a pub & not some strip mall, so to speak. Then comes the food... large portion sizes, phenomenal meats, great food/drink deals, vast menu variety, weeknights they host bingo & other games with prizes, I could go on & on. Since first visiting this place a year ago I've returned nearly 20 times with friends & family. I even went on St. Patrick's day when they had a trailer in the parking lot full of multiple kegs that had green died beer running to the pub. I cannot fathom how someone in the reviews claimed "it was nothing too fancy". If you want fancy maybe don't go to a pub. This place has my heart & it's an attest to the staff, cooks, customer base, & owner(s). I tip my cap to the owner(s), well done.

The food is pretty good, everything I've ordered has been top notch. The service is excellent, always friendly. Just a nice place to visit.

I used to go here all the time until my last experience. I was here for 20 minutes without a sever greeting me. They seem to be understaffed.

Great food and good service. Several years ago my daughter and son-in-law used to go for their Friday night all you can eat cod dinners. Wednesday my 2 friends and I went there for lunch. But would the cod still be good? My lunch with 3 pieces of fried cod with French fries and coleslaw was so delicious. I definitely couldn't eat that much so lunch for the next day was a given. I just threw the cod and fries in my Air Fryer and it turned out great. This McBride's is the original one and the quality of food remains the same. My friends had pulled pork and the other had a Reuben. They enjoyed their food as much as I did. We walked out with large containers of leftovers to enjoy later. I most definitely recommend McBride's on Caton Farm Road you won't be sorry!!

Excellent food and service during Covid-19 . Still the best tater tots around. Monday wings are 50 cents right now since the all-u-can eat dine -in is postponed. Great flavor! Club sandwich solid and burger juicy and flavorful.

I have never had poutine until I went here. I don't have anything to base theirs off of but I really like their poutine. Also, their bloody Mary's are great! I highly recommend you try one!

This is a great local bar & grill. We bring our kids up for dimmer or visit for weekend drinks when we can. The portions are huge, the ranch is awesome, the drinks are always good. My favorite is the turkey Swiss panini but we like burger basket night too. My kids love the chicken tenders & the salads are huge. Service is usually pretty good but we have gone on some evenings where they're short staffed but the ones working are definitely hustling!

First I want to say this, they pour real drinks and have a good selection of beers an ales. I want to also say that their food, Bar Food, is very good and nicely proportioned, the burgers are to die for. Each time I have visited McBride's I have met friendly people and the staff is always friendly. In conclusion...Good Food, Good Drinks and Good Friendly and Professional staff, makes this place a Good place to visit.

This place is cool. Stumbled on to it for lunch. Everything smelled great service was great and the patrons were friendly. A friend lives nearby; we'll be back with our lady friends on a Friday or Saturday night. This place is cool.

Came here for the first time today. The closest thing I've seen to a neighborhood bar since I've lived in Plainfield. The staff seemed to know most of the customers and were very friendly and accommodating,albeit short staffed (like everywhere else). I ordered the shepherds pie and it was outstanding! Definitely recommend this place.

Stopped by for the Bears game with a few friends. Nice bar and good experience for the game. Kyle, Bri and Cody were excellent with their service today- great job guys!!

Absolutely not. Never in life would I come back to this place. The patrons are the problem and I guess you could say the employees should know better too. Two men were way over served at 8pm. My guest and I were sitting three tables over. These two over served drunks were on speaker phone talking to a friend of theirs. They were loud,obnoxious and spewing homophobic slurs. I can deal with two or three ( not because it's ok, just because drunk people are dumb anyway) but it was going on for almost 20 mins. They were loud I mean loud. I finally got up went to the bar and requested my check. Waitress asked why and of course I told her. It was the most uncomfortable situation. I thought Plainfield always bragger how much classier the people are in their town compared to Joliet. Uhhh I think you guys need another vote. Trashiest place I've ever been in and I lived in the hood of south side of Chicago in the 90s. Js. Horrible place.

The bartender was an absolute ass and wouldn't serve me my cheap beer because "I didn't tip him" even thought I plan on drinking more then one beer. Avoiding me because I don't tip on my first drink like an amateur. I get it, times get hard but don't take it out on an equally broke college student. I avoid this place for a reason.

Been here a few times since we moved out this way. Food is good but the service sucks! People tend to be rude. Guess its because I am not a "regular". Wont ever be one with their attitude.

This is a great place for a burger and a beer. On Sunday and Tuesday they have a half pound burger and fries for $5! Also, during the week they have different things each night. For example, Monday night is trivia night. The drinks are a decent price, especially if you get the specials. The regular food menu is not bad, but the specials are really worth it. There are families there and they are kid friendly. Really friendly bar staff and if you sit at a table, Jo is the best server in the industry! Definitely worth a shot if you haven't been there before.

We love McBride's! We like to day drink and gamble often and we love the Busch light bottles, guess you can call us pretty important customers.. Karen, Lauren, Christina, Tracy, and Charlie always take excellent care of us!

Outstanding food! Burgers are amazing, but my favorite is the fish and chips. Huge serving sizes. Don't let the "bar" atmosphere deter you, this is very family friendly...as long as your there before 9pm. Then I leans more bar than restaurant.

Awesome food, great service. Our server was very personable. Highly recommend. We had the poppers and 2 salads and very good ! Also use d a Groupon so great value .

This is a local pub, place felt like a typical pub with a mixture of old and young folks. They have ok drink specials, we just had drinks and the service was OK. Will have to try their food next time when we're in the area.

Pretty good food. The jalapeño poppers are grilled not fried, and they're huge! My wife likes the burgers. I prefer the wraps. Everything we've tried has been above average for bar food. Service is usually very good. Lots of specials on food & drinks - they have they're own app! You get discounts and a reward program.

Love this place for meeting up with friends or even to have a meal with the kids. Lots of food choices, always hot and yummy and love the drink specials. Oh and the staff is awesome too!

We've been here a few time over the last couple of years, primarily for the Trivia Night on Mondays, which been a great deal, since they offer bottomless wings and $1.50 drafts of Miller Lite and Bud light. We have a great time every time we come here, and it a good place to bring the kids on nights like this. If you're on the mood for an appitizer, I suggest the McNachos, which is a great plate of loaded nachos, perfect pub food. Bring your "A" trivia game to McBrides!

I called to place a takeout order and was told very rudely, "hold on". 5 minutes later I'm still waiting and can hear two people in the background talking. Yea thanks! You lost my business.

Went here on the Friday before St. Patty's day ordered the fish and chips for my wife, corned beef and cabbage for me, we also got the BBQ pork egg rolls and jalapeño hoppers. The egg rolls were good. My wife's fish was decent. Her fries were cold, but the fish was decent. The poppers were pretty bad and the corned beef and cabbage was the worst corned beef and cabbage I've ever had. What kind of Irish pub can't make moderately decent corned beef and cabbage on the weekend of St. Patty's day.

Food was decent. I love bar food but the food here was just ok. I arrived at 6:45pm on a Tuesday night with a friend from out of town for a quick bite. We sat at a table away from the bar and the waitress (who seemed to be annoyed by us) walks up and states "you have to be 21+ to be here" Not a friendly hello or anything even close. We are both 28 years old and showed her IDs although we were not drinking and didn't even try ordering a drink. We simply just wanted a quick dinner. She seems very agitated by us for no one reason which made us feel very unwelcome and probably won't be returning anytime soon.

Good beer and GREAT rubens!! Went here with the guys and was not disappointed. Good hang out with friends on a Friday night!

Love this place! Weekends get packed so you have to hurry in for a seat if you want to eat in. Great drink selection, food is good and staff are very attentive.

My buddy lives near here and introduced me to the establishment. I didn't have high expectations as when we pulled up I found out it was in a strip mall. Nothing negative about it, just I had never had great success from a bar that resides in a strip mall. Boy was I mistaken. Once inside, it felt like I had been there my whole life. I was greeted with a handshake and high fives as I was wearing my Walter Payton jersey. One guy even offered to by me a round. Their beer selection is good, better than I expected. We ordered some local craft beers and looked over the menu. WOW! Talk about a menu with options! Totally blew me away! I had a bowl of their chili and I must say it was REALLY good. just enough spice to here I didn't have to ask for hot sauce, but it didn't leave your mouth on fire. PERFECT heat. I had their Moo and Oink Burger (Angus burger topped with BBQ pulled pork) and I thought it was fantastic. I recommend this to anyone who wants a hearty burger that has great taste. The bartender was great and our server was phenomenal. The prices were decent and I hope to get back again in November. Once you walk out you will look back and scratch your head realizing you were in a strip mall the whole time. Truly amazing bar and grill. Check it out.

Here's why I give it a 4 star -- the food. For me they have good food and they have had it for at least 5 years. They might have new owners, like one yelper posted, but the food has stayed good. What I do is either eat there between 5-7 during the week or I get take-out. The prices are really reasonable, $9 for a half-slab of ribs, which I think are really good. $5 Burgers on Wednesdays and kids eat free on Wednesdays too! I know nothing about the place after 7:30ish or on the weekends in general, it might be a dive bar or a single person bar, or be rowdy like others have posted. What I do know it that it is a good place to eat during 5-7pm during the week and they have good food.

Great burgers. I was there on a Saturday night for drinks and dinner. Service was not the greatest and it was busy but not swamped. Waitress not attentive to our group of 10 so that's why there is only a 3 stars here. I ordered a cheddar burger. I don't know what kind of beef or how they season it but it's absolutely delicious. Three kinds of fries waffle, regular and curly. They were good nothing special thou. The majority of our party ordered the burgers and ribs were really tender. Go for a tasty burger to watch a game or have a drink.

Great bar if you are a townie and like stale beer. Drab and dreary atmosphere. Waitress was very nice but that's about it.

I've been here quite a bit since I live around the corner. The staff is awesome, very friendly, and attentive. The food is excellent! It's a bar menu without the bar taste. I suggest the pretzel sticks or nachos for an appetizer and the burgers are amazing. They have a dinner menu but I haven't had it yet. Karen, the bartender, is the first person I met here and she's always nice to me (even when I'm drunk and obnoxious ).
