We thought it was pretty good. Beautiful grounds and some good wines. Thought the Barbera was their best. I believe they’re known for their reds and unfortunately our tasting was white heavy. The whites were very average in my humble opinion.

I recently went to one of their Summer Concert Series with a few friends. It was my first time here, and I’m definitely coming back! The venue is beautiful, right off the freeway in Elk Grove. There’s plenty of shade, so it’s super comfortable even in the summer heat. The concert series is amazing. They have a variety of music, food trucks, boutique shopping, and even ice cream! They didn’t skimp on any details here; even their bathrooms are aesthetically pleasing and clean! You can bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverages to the concert. Since it was my first time, we brought some food and chairs, but we noticed people even brought coolers and tables. Next time, I’ll be more prepared! The sparkling rose was amazing, and their special sangria was to die for! Despite living an hour away, they’ve definitely found a returning customer in me!

McConnell Estates Winery was the most beautiful and perfect venue for my husband and I! We got married in September and the vineyards were full and beautiful. All throughout the venue were so many beautiful places for photos. The entire venue from the bridal suite, groomsmen suite, ceremony area, cocktail are, and the barn for the reception was stunning. We booked the venue quite early due to the pandemic and Halie helped us throughout the entire year and a half leading up to the big day. She was super responsive and always had the answers or would get them in a timely fashion. The venue was flexible with allowing us to bring up decorations the day before at the designated rehearsal time. We got to try the wines prior to the wedding day and Halie allowed us to flex our choices due to our unique food choices. All around the venue was beautiful and the staff were great to work with!

Google
Beautiful grounds, we really enjoyed spending the evening at their summer concert, the staff is very friendly and their Sangria wine was perfect over ice for the weather. We will definitely be going back.

Always a fun time at McConnell's. This time was a very nice Labor Day weekend with beautiful surroundings and of course their great wine! Who can beat a bit of wine tasting under the trees on the lawn. Always treated like family at McConnell's! Picked up a bottle of their wonderful Malbec wine, it is wonderful and will have to save for a special occasion!

Google
Bottomless mimosas and we didn't have a reservation. They were super accommodating and gave us a table for 2 hours. Be sure to call ahead for reservations. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is fabulous. This was our first time visiting and we for sure will return again soon (with reservations 🤪).

Google
Thoroughly enjoyed myself here this weekend. Service was excellent and the wine was fantastic. I enjoyed the sangria, its a little different than typical sangria- I can't put my finger on what it is but it's still really good regardless. We also had the strawberry and raspberry sparkling wines which were super tasty! Not to sweet but flavorful. We had the meat and cheese tray- nothing fancy about it- you have to assemble yourself and the cheese is whole.

Yelp
October 31, 2024 We participated in Elk Grove's Hallo-Wine Trail. After registering, we were instructed to pick up our speciality event 4-bottle bag at McConnell Estates Winery, and then visit local wineries between October 31 and November 3 for special discounts and promotions. McConnell Estates pulled out all the stops for this event, for sure. The venue was well decorated for Halloween. Loved their spirit and enthusiasm! They had a candy discount roulette game, where you chose a piece of candy out of a bowl. Your discount amount (between 5% and 50%) was written on the back of the candy. HAPPY HALLOWEEN! I lucked out and pulled a 40% discount. With that discount, we couldn't resist buying wine, so we decided to taste first. They had two tastings available. The Classic ($10) and the Reserve ($15), waived with the purchase of one bottle. We enjoyed all the wines, and chose the bottles we wanted to buy. The Tempranillo was a favorite. Then, as part of the festivities, we were given a free glass of their Sangria. I am not normally a Sangria fan, but their Sangrias were delicious. They had four flavors available: POISONED APPLE Chardonnay, apple, caramel & cinnamon PUMPKIN SPICE Tempranillo, pumpkin spice & cinnamon BLOODY SANGRIA Merlot, blood orange & tart cherry APPLE CIDER SANGRIA Chardonnay, ginger & spiced cider I chose the Pumpkin Spice Sangria, and my husband chose the Blood Sangria. We enjoyed both sangrias, but the Blood Sangria was so good we decided to buy a bottle to take home. McConnell Estates has a great venue, some pretty fine wine, and friendly staff. We'll be back.

Yelp
I LOVE this winery and have been a member for about 3 years. They have so many great family-friendly events, with a good amount of adult-only events as well. We especially love the Haunted Hayrides events. During some Christmas you get to meet Santa and during Easter you meet the Easter bunny and get sent professional photos. Dog friendly for almost every event. The wine tastes amazing and is reasonably priced. The tastings offer fair pours and good variety. They have a BEAUTIFUL lawn area that has plenty of space to picnic on a blanket or at their tables and benches. It's very beginner friendly here and not snobby at all. The customer service is great, and we especially love Art. He has remembered my name since my first visit and always strikes up great conversation.

Yelp
Love this place. Although we are not members, we visit a few time of year. Most recently, we tried the fireside tasting on a Sunday afternoon in January. We learned even more about this history of McConnell and found some new favorite wines. Sitting by the fire was a great way to experience the place. Staff are always helpful and accommodating.

Yelp
Had a great experience doing a tasting out on their beautiful porch on Mother's Day with my wife. She had the classic tasting and I did the Reserve. It was a nicely curated tasting menu that brought in some different flavors along with some classics. I believe our server was Lisa and she did an amazing job especially with how busy it was there that day. Loved it and will be back soon.

Yelp
I like this winery. They have a good selection and just the coolest space that is hard to believe is just off the highway . I would say their whites are stronger than their reds.

Yelp
What a beautiful winery and nice location. The wines were outstanding and the service was outstanding. We recently went to listen to a band on a Friday night and the weather was spectacular. They had a food truck and again the service and attention to detail was outstanding. The wines were so delicious and I had the rosé all I can say is WOW it was so wonderful and refreshing. The grounds are so lush.. I would highly recommend this 5 star winery on a Friday night and listen to live music or anytime. I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Love love love this place! They always have great events, which make fun for a super fun wine tasting experience. Everyone is super helpful and there's never a long wait. Everything is poured super fast, the staff is attentive. It's a great place for wine tasting with friends. They have a beautiful antique indoor sitting area and soooo much shade for outdoor sitting. A great place to have a little picnic and drink wine.
google avatar

Yelp
Great wine tasting option off the 99 ... the ambiance is relaxing ... property charming ... service great and wines fairly priced ... give them a try .... they also have wonderful events

Yelp
First time to this place. It's an easy to find location and beautiful inside as well. Tori is the best. So nice with everything and gave us great customer service. All the wines tasted great and will definitely be back due to Tori!

Yelp
This cute winery is literally a 5 minute drive from my home. I have not frequented it much as I would normally go into Lodi for wine tasting and purchasing. I came here late last year for a tasting and really enjoyed myself. The tasting was affordable, and the young male host was so informative, generous, and knowledgeable about the wines. There is plenty of room to spread out indoors or outside to enjoy your wine. They do sell charcuterie type snacks to accompany your wine. I had such a great experience that I decided to join their wine club. They also host all types of events in the summer, like Barn nights with live music and then outdoor cover band concerts. While I haven't found the perfect white or red for me here yet I definitely enjoy my experiences here. If you are local in the area, stop by for a tasting, and I promise you will enjoy yourself

Yelp
All was great! had an amazing experience! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Yelp
Glad we made reservations for Saturday at 3:30pm. It was packed and there was live music. We didn't see any children so assume it's an adults only winery. They had $10 classic tasting, $15 reserve tasting, and $30 cheese and wine tasting. We tried everything. The only wine that was good was the zin. It was semi sweet and had bold fruit flavor: all the other wines were either tannic or lacking flavor. My friend said the cheeses were better than the wines lol. I got to try some cheeses. They only have the cheese and wine flight that weekend we went. It was worth the $30. Service was fast and slow. It was a busy day though. We got to try an extra cab but it wasn't good. Will have to continue finding a good winery in Elk Grove.

Yelp
Such a lovely, quaint winery! The Señor Burger Good truck was fire! Such great food! Our server was sweet and helpful. The Sangria and Raspberry Sparkling wine was so tasty! Barn Night 2025 was a hit!

Yelp
McConnell Winery, Elk Grove, CA - July 7, 2023 We attended a reservation only "Barn Night" event at this winery that included a live band (Hipster Cocktail Party), a food truck (West Coast Tacos), and wine (McConnell's). The venue is spacious, with some shaded outdoor seating and covered indoor seating in the barn. The stage is fairly small at ground level, but it's sufficient for musicians to do their craft. Our friends had made reservations in advance, and we met them in the parking lot before walking in. We decided to sit in the barn area so that we would have plenty of shade. The wine bar is indoors in the barn as well. Servers come to your table and take your drink orders. Menus were at our table so we were able to figure out what our choices were. We decided to order a bottle of Tempernillo and a bottle of Chardonnay. I was happy with both choices. West Coast taco does a fantastic job. We got 4 carne asada tacos and 4 Anaheim Pig carnitas tacos that we shared as a group - $36. We ordered another bottle of Cabernet Savignon and that was very tasty as well. This is a fun venue to come to, and I would do it again!
google avatar

Selena E.

Yelp
The venue is pretty! We were greeted terribly. The staff were not timely in changing their outside signage indicating a proper closing time. We were greeted by a man in a forward facing hat who gave us a stink-face and said, "We're closed. We close at 5:00 p.m." with zero interest in assisting our family that arrived just a few minutes after 5:00 p.m. after a long day searching for venues. If I was to pick a winery venue and drop bands for a full-day event, it would NOT be at a place where the staff are disrespectful when on the clock, and supposed to be the face of the company. Such a shame as the venue looked beautiful, the house smelled great, and would've likely been nice for our situation!

Jaskiran N.

Yelp
I am a returning customer at McConnell! The place is so beautiful, with indoor and outdoor seating. The service is amazing no matter which server you get. There was even live music this past time I went! You are allowed to bring your own food which is so nice. The cost of tasting, while already so affordable, is waived when you buy a bottle! Such a good deal. I've taken many friends here when they visit and it's such a cute place to chat, catch up, be treated with so much love, and enjoy delicious wine!

Yelp
My friend and I decided to meet up at McConnell Estates Winery on Friday after a long work week. We made reservations, which currently are required, for wine tasting. When we arrived we were offered to sit outside on the back deck overlooking the gorgeous vineyard grounds. The deck area is spacious with several round tables. We sat at a table near the left corner of the deck rail that had a breathtaking view of the vineyard. The service at McConnell Estates is definitely top notch. A dedicated server brought us the wine menu from which we ordered our flights and a Charcuterie board with local cheeses from Stuyt Creamery Goudas and a variety of crackers. I ordered the Classic Tasting flight, which started with a light crisp Vermentino and ended with a robust jammy Zinfandel. I ordered several bottles to take home as I found the Barbera interestingly complex and delicious as it is made like a rose and thus can be paired with a range of foods from salads to BBQ. McConnell Estates Winery is located on W. Stockton Boulevard right along the 99 fwy on the SE end of Elk Grove. You know... the one that many of y'all see on your way home from work. Just do it. Exit the freeway and give McConnell a try. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
My sister & I came across McConnell on a white Sunday and we were so surprised to find it was less than 5 miles from home! We sat at the bar for a few tastings, served by Bobo. He was super friendly and so so helpful! They have 2 different tasting flights but Bobo was also kind enough to pour us wines based on our preference. We also spoke to Lynn in passing and she was so easy going! Halos & Alex are so sweet and easy to work with. The staff here are truly extraordinary. My sister and I tried lots of their wines and they have a huge variety, it was hard to find our favorites. My sister enjoyed the Rose and Chardonnay the most. I was a huge fan of the Chardonnay and the Sangria! We also purchased a bottle of their Gen Z and Sparkling Raspberry. Both were really good for desserts. The space is very big and beautiful too. They have plenty of shaded lawn with tables & chairs. There's also a beautiful back patio deck. It would be the perfect spot to meet some girlfriends for a girls day or a nice relaxing afternoon with the hubby. I will for sure be back for their delicious wines and incredible experience!

Yelp
In January 2020 my wife and I joyfully engaged in an epic wine tour experience in Sonoma County. Little did we know that two months later all non-essential businesses would be ordered to close their doors and we would have to adhere to a stay-at-home order. Fast forward to August 2020, wineries with outdoor seating would be allowed to conduct wine tasting under social distancing guidelines. My wife and I decided to visit a local winery, McConnell Estates. Prior to our visit, my wife called and made a Sunday morning reservation for us (each reservation is allotted a two hour period for wine tasting). It was a blessing in disguise that she chose Sunday, I will explain later. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by a masked (safety first!) employee who ushered us to the outdoor seating area. She provided us with menus, we selected our wine flights (we opted for the Classic and Estate Tasting so that we could sample all eight wines), and she served us the first wine option from each respective tasting. Shortly after, a masked employee by the name of Travante introduced himself and informed us that he would be administering the rest of our tastings. Although there were a lot of guests (including a huge birthday party), he did a great job of checking in with us and keeping us "hydrated." We were really impressed by the options included in our flights...so impressed that it made it difficult to settle on which option to purchase. After a careful consideration, we chose the 6 Gen Zin. So......I mentioned earlier that it was a blessing in disguise that my wife booked our reservation on Sunday. Sundays are reserved for Sangria Slushies! These things are delicious and will creep up on you! Prior to consuming one, my first thought was "oh it can't be that strong, its like a slightly spiked Slurpee." I was clearly underestimating the strength of frosted wine. Four slushies later and I was thanking my wife for suggesting that we not only try the slushies, but that we ride our bicycles to and from the winery. I highly recommend McConnell Estates for it's great customer service, delicious wines, and beautiful outdoor experience. This is the perfect environment for celebrating with your safe "bubble" of friends or family, or to just enjoy a couple glasses of wine with your significant other. Post-COVID, I think this would be a great place to meet new people without having to worry about social distancing guidelines, bubbles, etc. We're fans and will be back!

Yelp
We have been wine club members here for years. Decided to throw a last minute baby shower for a coworker here. Originally planned for 11 guests to come. However 6 coworkers got out of class early and decided to come late. READ THE FINE PRINT. If you have more than 14 guests they will charge you $10 a person in addition to the food and wine we purchased. I have never heard of a place that charges per person. We cancelled our membership and will be bringing our business elsewhere. It is crazy to charge an additional $180 to drop off some wine bottles and cheese and crackers at a table outside. I even had to go inside to ask for a menu and go back inside to place the orders. Customer service was horrible sadly when I called the next day with questions.

Yelp
Very nice and cozy place for a good wine , love the people and the services it was fantastic I really recommend it

Yelp
I came to this winery Sunday right before closing, to look into a membership. This was my third time here at this winery but first time in the actual tasting room area. I came here for my friends single party and I come here for the beauty beyond brunch. One event was outside in a beautiful area and the other was inside their barn area which was also beautiful. I kept telling myself it would make it back here to sign up for my membership. Well Sunday was the day. I am officially a member of this winery and I can't wait to start coming up here with my friends and family.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing wedding lighting by LARCOM's Lighting! This is definitely one of the most beautiful venues and wineries in the area! The staff is extremely professional and will work to make your special day amazing! I love the country feel. The barn is one of a kind and gorgeous inside and out! I would highly recommend them for your next event!

Kelli L.

Yelp
Amazing! Beautiful grounds and wonderful staff. Always accommodating and they allow pups:) great cheese board selection too!

Yelp
This gem of a winery is located off the local wine trail in Elk Grove but it's well worth the effort to venture out their way. The estate is adorned with a magnificent tree that supports a wooden swing for two, painted in white. As you glide up the steps into a renovated old farm house adorned with spacious rooms, lined with tables and couches with fluffy pillows, you see a wall of wine. The day were were there, their wall of wine was eye-catching and we promptly ordered BOTH tasting menus. Art, our gracious host for the day, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He introduced us to the plethora of wines they make and the story behind each wine, his enthusiasm for the wine was contagious. They host a good variety of wine that include a Sauvignon Blanc, Rosé, Zinfandel and several blends just to name a few. My favorite was the Zinfandel wine, I'm a sucker for a jammy zin! Suffice to say, we walked out with a bottle and (2) smiles with the intention of returning for another afternoon of great wine, great service and comfy sipping. Please pay them a visit if you are in Elk Grove or anywhere in the area, your palate will be pleased and any of their bottles will be a worthy addition to your wine collection.

Yelp
It was my first time ordering from a winery. I wanted to order some wine as a gift for my Aunt in Virginia. A disagreement between McConnell Estates and FedEx delayed my shipment for almost a month. I understand how these things happen, especially during these strange times. The good news is that the team at McConnell made the best out of a bad situation by sending the wine I ordered free of charge and offering two additional bottles for my troubles. Thanks again, Team McConnell Estates Winery! BB

Yelp
I have been coming to this winery for 11 years! It's one of my favorite Elk Grove gems. I love the outdoor spaces they have. When the weather is nice, I pack a picnic and pop a squat on the lawn, and buy a bottle of wine and just relax. During covid they have had food trucks and live music. Go to the website to secure a reservation. The staff is always friendly.

Yelp
Great place to hang out. Due to the pandemic, only outside seating is allowed, which is beautifully decorated and has plenty of shade, so it's not bad. The tables are all arranged 6 feet apart if not more. My friends and I went and sat outside while it was around 90 something degrees outside. Yes, we were hot but under the shade we were able to stay cool PLUS they sell their ice cold bottled water for only $0.50. Their whites are served chilled (as they should be) and they also have sangria available. We had the estate red tastings for $15. The classic tasting is $10. Both classic and estate have 4 wines. Our FLAVorites were 2017 Wackman Brothers Tannat and MWK Winemakers Blend from the estate tasting group. Zach is one of the owners and he was indubitably fun, and informative. Get him to tell you the story of how the 6 Gen Zin got its name. He was super busy that day we went but somehow, he seamlessly had the wine flowing and pouring. The do sell cheese, meats and crackers. Our picks were the mild and jalapeño Gouda cheeses, variety pack charcuterie, and rosemary crackers. Honestly its a great place to hang out. They close at 5pm. Plenty of parking, smoking allowed only in parking lot. 2 restrooms available inside the estate house. A barn is also available for big gatherings/parties.

Yelp
Visited this place yesterday with some girlfriends. It is easy to find, right off of Highway 99. Who knew Elk Grove has such great wineries? The winery is housed in an old farmhouse and has a beautiful outdoor garden for tasting. There is also an enclosed patio if you prefer to sit inside. Tastings are very reasonable, $10 classic and $15 for elite. The tasting is waived with the purchase of one bottle. They also have a small selection of charcuterie items to purchase and enjoy with your wine. Even if you do not drink wine this place is worth a visit just for the beauty of it. They also host events and concerts here in their barn. I will definitely be visiting McConnell Estates again.
google avatar

Virginia P.

Yelp
Best get together for events and the concerts are awesome. Everyone may not know everyone but merging strangers to an atmosphere of friendship that makes it feel like you dancing with family.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing wine, even more amazing staff! Highly recommended winery and the special events are a fantastic good time!
google avatar

Yelp
Good wine! We went last weekend for a wine tasting with some friends. They had reservations, but when we arrived, it didn't seem like the winery knew we were coming. The reservations seemed meaningless. The place was already packed and only two servers were working. We found our own seating outside on the beautiful grounds but the server never came out with wine. They were packed, so we understood but service was severely lacking compared to other wineries we have visited.
google avatar

S R.

Yelp
Great concert from blue collar men last night! Beautiful winery. Just a reminder to all concert / party goers, don't be lazy and take all YOUR trash to the trash cans don't just leave it on the wine barrels for others to throw away! ( especially after I nicely mentioned that that wasn't the garbage)
google avatar

Monica M.

Yelp
I came here yesterday for an event it was great and the staff was very nice and helpful and the winery was very beautiful and there was a great selection of wines to pick from on there menu and there was also a good truck as well. All staff had there mask on and kept within the guidelines to keep everyone safe and also the winery was very beautiful and clean and the bathrooms were kept very clean as well. I do plan on coming beck to this great winery my husband and I bought two bottles of wine to share during the event and then my mom and stepdad who also came with us for the event got a bottle of sparkling wine and they normally do not drink wine but my mom kept saying how much she really liked the wine they got and I had a taste of her wine as well it was very good as well and the food truck they picked for the event was great and loved how they had it set up it was so organized and planned out one of the best events I have been to during the pandemic that is going on. I highly recommend this winery for dates and extra it's so worth it and it's such a beautiful winery.

Yelp
Stopped by on the way home from errands with two dogs! We sat outside in their very shady and open lawn area. Enjoyed a bottle of rosé and some cheeses, meats, and crackers on a picnic bench under one of their many trees. Staff was friendly, and all spaces (indoor/outdoor) were very clean. We had a great time and will definitely be back.

Yelp
OMG I can't believe I lived in Elk Grove which feels like all my life and not knew that this place existed. This place is a hidden gem. The wines in my opinion beats out all the local wineries. The location is great too, they have a super cute tasting room and I know were still in lockdown but when that gets lifted everyone should check out their cute tasting rooms. There patio area is also super cute. The wines are GREAT. I love their Tannat and their Rose. Needless to say we became wine club members right on the spot. The people who work here are all so wonderful and super helpful. We love coming here. They also host events in their barn area which looks super cute. If you are in this area, definitely check this place out you won't be disappointed.

Nancy R.

Yelp
The wine is very good there, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. And the ground are pretty!

Yelp
Not exactly a great first impression from this place. I went with a couple friends to their first Friday's concert event. Their website said there would be food trucks and wine slushies. Plus, a winery in Elk Grove? Count me in!! There were no food trucks so we all put down orders for In 'N Out. It was a hot and muggy day so my friend and I wanted the slushies. The first attempt, they ran out. They told us 15 minutes. We came back after 15 and they said the slushies weren't ready and to wait a couple more minutes. We waited a lil longer and on our 3rd attempt, they sold out!!! What.... The rest of the group bought Pinot Grigio, Merlot by the bottle. They use Lodi grapes and the wine is bottled on site. Um.. ok. Not a great first impression and they will not get my business. The band was ok and everyone was really nice but false advertising on their site and they couldn't deliver with their slushies, or we had bad timing? Maybe. Better off going to Lodi.

Yelp
I've been a wine club member here for several years and for the love of God don't know why I've waited so long to write this review. It is AWESOME having such a great winery locally in Elk Grove. I love everything about McConnell estates! It's so much more than great wine.... There is also the events, wine club members only releases, summer concerts, Friday nights in the summer, movie nights....so much fun. Even during this 2020 year of madness, the McConnell/Wackman family has done an amazing job of still making it an awesome place to come, enjoy some wine and socially distance in their beautiful setting. They are doggie friendly which is a plus! Every single one of the staff is so amazing and so friendly and do everything to make you feel so welcome and important. I can't wait for Covid to be behind us so that we can really go back to enjoying the summer concerts and the fun Friday evening free concerts. I miss all the events!! They still managed to do some fun things this year even though it was a little challenging. Beautiful venue for weddings as well!! I just can't say enough great things about McConnell Estates!!
google avatar

Amber B.

Yelp
Wonderful staff, great wine, the best venue for party's and/weddings. We enjoyed having our big day here and working so closely with the staff. Thank you for all your patience and hard work. Love you guys!

Amber G.

Yelp
Delicious wines and great atmosphere. Elk Grove staple! Great place to relax and unwind and enjoy good company.

Yelp
$5 for wine tasting :) second time here today! Love this little gem off highway 99. Recommend it! Especially for a mid-afternoon treat.
google avatar

Mariah S.

Yelp
4 star rating is as a winery and venue combined. The wine was great! The tasting room was cute and the staff was informative and helpful. They paired one of the red wines with a homemade meatball and homemade chocolate truffle and both were absolutely delicious! For a venue, it's got pros and cons for sure. The barn is beautiful!!! It has three, tremendous, iron chandeliers and opens up to a small yard where guests can play bocci and cornhole. Ceremony site and the location of the winery itself is not great. It is literally right off of the 99 and the freeway noise is really loud. Where they hold ceremonies, I couldn't find a spot where photos wouldn't have the freeway in the background so that's definitely a downfall. They are doing some remodeling and holding their first big wedding since the remodel in April so it's worth a shot to check out!

Yelp
I was a member since March 2020 and enjoyed their wines and events. In December 2021 I realized I had not been charged for my wine club and realized I had forgotten to update my debit card that was on file with them. I had gotten a new card in September and I failed to remember to contact them with the update. Once i realized my error I called and left a voicemail apologizing and giving them my info. A week passed with no response. I called the next week and left a voicemail and the following week and left a voicemail and still no response. I then emailed McConnell explaining the situation and my 3 voicemails I had left. To this date, 1/5/22 I have not heard one word from them. I guess they do not care about my business. This is very poor customer service and I do not recommend them. It's a shame as their wine and events are really good.

Yelp
In the past, I spent a lot of time in the greater Elk Grove (E.G.) area. If wine is something you enjoy ....really appreciate, the road signs for McConnell Estates Winery are hard to miss. You will see the Estate just South of E.G., right off of 99. It is near the once thought to be a "Premium Outlet Mall location" .... that will soon be part of the greater E.G. "casino neighborhood". Anyway, nice old California home as the main customer retail building (wine and stuff). A very pretty, serene spot for a party, wedding or listening to some music (which, by the way, they do book / arrange for well). I also attended an outdoor cooking glass there once that was a bunch of fun and my wife (plus friends) and I learned some great ideas for outdoor pork grilling. The folks that pour the wine are knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. My only problem with the place is that I am not a big fan of their wine. Normally. I like big cabs, but I am not wild about theirs for the last three or four years anyway. The Merlot has also not been what I "lust" after. My favorite red has be their Tempernillo. My wife likes their Chardonnay very much, I can't comment, lack of willingness to taste. Bottom-line, the wine is a bargain price-wise and the winery is worth stopping by for your own opportunity to do a review. My taste may not be yours!

Yelp
This is a quaint winery right on the edge of Elk Grove next to highway 99. A tasting fee of $5 is waived with a wine purchase. I came here for the first time on a Friday night for the Friday concert series. Live music, food truck, bring your own lawn chair and picnic was a great way to enjoy a Friday evening. Outside alcohol is not allowed (obviously!). Wine is available for purchase by the bottle or by the glass. A bottle of sauvignon blanc and a bottle of vermentino goes for $19. Wine by the glass is available also for $6. Both white wines were very drinkable. The atmosphere is very friendly with kids running around at the outer edge of the lawn and people dancing to their favorite songs.

Yelp
- Freeway, who? You can't tell, but it's right by it. It feels like it's own area.. so peaceful & beautiful. - My family & I went to this spot bc it was a Paint Nite (morning) venue. It was just the best to be up early, in nice cool weather, painting under the tree.. Ah. -I arrived early & was able to see their flyers on up-coming events & they seem to do a lot. Weddings of course too! The entire party I was w enjoyed the staff & tasting all the sorts of wines / goodies they had for us! - Will def be back. - PS THEIR SANGRIA IS WINNIN!

Yelp
Reviewing this place for the complete surprise of a wonderful afternoon I had there for a friend's bridal shower. Basically it's a little Victorian house in the middle of almost no where off the 99 south. they had a lovely sun room that we were set up in with adjoining relaxing rooms set up with the food and games. It was sunny and warm room for the sunny and warm occasion. When we retired outside, the yard provided a great backdrop to our plethora of photos and the picnic tables were comfortable as we (responsibly) downed the additional champagne bottles we had. Note that there's only 2 picnic tables so not a ton of selection if it's busy. PROS: great champagne, great lawn (could have played boccee, croquet, etc.) CONS: middle of no where and not in a super cute way

Yelp
Cute, quaint, and everything you're looking for when you just want to slip away by yourself or with friends and enjoy a glass of wine. 6Gen, my all time favorite and the sangria are two must haves. Pack a picnic like we did, actually we ran in Trader Joe's, grabbed a couple salads, dark chocolate, and blackberries. We purchased jalapeño cheese at McConnell which was a great addition.
