Last summer I had a terrible experience here and hoped it was a one time blip as I have always enjoyed this restaurant. We visited on Saturday the 30th of November and were very happy.
Our server Mike was excellent, always around but not pushy. We had a group of 7 and were allowed to be laid back and enjoy the meal. This is the type of service we were accustomed to in the past.
My rating has change to where I think it will stay. The summer visit was not the norm.
We enjoyed wonderful drinks, oysters, calamari and meals. One issue is the menu needs to be updated as several things we ordered were no longer available, but Mike was right on top of that.
I have been visiting this restaurant for years and have been happy with the service, food, staff, etc. I believe we always received 4 star service (at least).
But, this summer I was visiting Boston with my wife during vacation and came to have a late lunch. Took too long to be helped, seemed like they were understaffed. Drinks and food were okay, but we had to wait too long for both.
I hope they are closing this location, we will be back, one bad experience won't stop us from going there this fall.
