One of the best salmon eggs Benedict i’ve had in a breezy morning with lake view. Add polite on-time service to it to make it a beautiful Sunday brunch 👌

Google
Amazing delicious food. The service was top notch and they were very attentive. Had a great view of the lake outside and even though it was cold outside they had heaters and a weather barrier. The food was fresh and was seasoned well. I got the burrata toast and he got the Diane burger. Will definitely come back again.

Fun Irish pub and restaurant in the heart of downtown Wayzata. Pub side has a great atmosphere with dark wood tables and iconic signs and decor. Bartenders and servers are friendly and welcoming. Went during happy hour and was able to get seats at the bar, but it filled up quickly. Flatbread and truffle fries were good. I definite stop whenever we are in Wayzata.

Google
It’s wayzata so it’s expensive. Surprisingly several Brazilian dishes at an Irish pub. The feijoada (Brazilian black bean stew) was $27, when this is traditionally a poor persons home style cooking. I don’t agree with this price and didn’t order it, as I make a huge pot at home several times a year for only a few dollars per serving. Everything tasted good, just seemed over priced. The banoffee pie was very rich and sweet

Google
The food is a standout. So many places are meh when it comes to food. This was the best Irish pub food I’ve ever had. They honestly care in the kitchen. Our waiter was perfect, and the ambiance is nice and and cozy.

Google
The food was really tasty and filling. Our server was very nice. We ordered truffle fries, salmon and quinoa bowl, and chicken pot pie.

Google
Went during lunch time on a Friday and our waitress was in no hurry. Waited a long time for our soda and our bill. Maybe she had tables inside. Outside was not busy. . Really wish we would have gotten to try the fried clams we ordered but she apparently forgot about them because we never got them and didn’t have time to wait for them to be ordered once we got our lunch meals and realized they were forgotten. My husband’s walleye tacos were delicious and my tuna poke bowl had good flavor despite the rice being a bit crunchy in spots and the wonton strips tasting stale.

Google
I've always had an excellent dining experience at McCormick's Pub & Restaurant! This evening my wife and I shared a Reuben sandwich and the tenderloin sliders - both were superb! And...make sure you save room for their outstanding Key Lime Pie! (Big enough for two to share!)

Yelp
We ambushed the crew at McCormicks with 6 kids under 5 and 7 adults. The manager was accommodating and extremely kid friendly. He dropped everything, pulled together two tables in the back and let us have at it. Kids orders were first and they served them very fast. The adults also all were served with a smile. Two more showed up and they rushed their order. The adult food is Wayzata quality upper scale bar food without any pomp. We will return!!!

Yelp
We went to an outdoor event in downtown Wayzata and stopped in for dinner. The decor is cozy and we were seated by the fireplace, which was nice. There were a couple of pasta dishes that sounded really good to me but I was hesitant to try them since this was an Irish pub. I went with the crispy chicken Cesar salad and it was tasty. Perfect amount of dressing and cheese and the chicken was tasty. One negative is the kids meals are quite expensive, I believe $13 for just basic kids food. I also didn't like the water (I know it sounds weird but it really tasted like tap water and didn't have ice). Other than, perfectly nice pub in a prime location.

Yelp
McCormack offers fast and friendly service with a beautiful view of the lake. Parking is a bit limited, but there are parking structures available. The food was tasty--my husband loved his burger, and my club sandwich really hit the spot. A great spot for a meal with a view!

Yelp
The ambiance is wonderful, both inside and out. Outside there is a view of the lake under a covered patio, inside is warm and inviting, what you think of for an old Irish pub. We sat inside in the bar due to a bee problem outside, this was not our intent, but glad they told us about it vs just sitting us out there. Overall the service was slow, we waited 15 -20 minutes to get our first drink. I ordered a Rachel, that came with a "special sauce" that has a kick to it. Unfortunately my stomach can't handle anymore kicks- totally my fault that I didn't look closely at the menu, where it clearly calls out special sauce. Lesson learned, look at the menu before ordering. The bottom piece of bread was soggy, my guess it was from the sauerkraut. I order Rachels all the time and have not had this happen before, I wonder if other restaurants I drain the kraut better to prevent this. I requested aioli to dip my fries in, I think I got straight mayo. My husband got the Fish and Chips, he was not impressed, he cannot pinpoint why, but it just wasn't that good. Coleslaw was good, but the compote of tartar sauce was not full and not enough. Both our orders came with plenty of fries. To McCormicks defense, we did not bring up any of this to our server, it had been a long week and neither of us were in the mood to complain.

Yelp
Cool place! Two bar options and lots to choose from. Service was great for a rather large group.

Yelp
On an annual basis, I make a trip to Minnesota to visit family and I usually stay in the Wayzata area. After long day of catching up, I like to stop by McCormick's for a Guinness before I head home. Although McCormick's is a fine Irish pub in its own right, what distinguishes it from any other, is a particular bartender named Heather. When I was there just this week, I sat next to a man from Ireland who commented on the Guinness. I said yes, Heather does a good pour. He replied by saying, it's not about the pour itself, it's about the care she puts into it. And that sums up this bartender Heather. She is professional, caring, thoughtful, makes a connection with all her clientele, no matter how busy it is, and has the gift of making one feel like they are the only customer in the pub. Thanks McCormicks and thanks Heather for your hospitality. I look forward to next year's visit.

Yelp
This is the cutest Irish pub right in downtown wayzata. The location is amazing, and it's a cozy atmosphere inside. The bartenders are friendly and fun. Have great salads and sandwiches as well! Definitely check it out!

Diane G.

Yelp
We had a great dinner and really like the new menu. They've made tweaks to some menu items which are for the better, plus added some innovative new items. The result is an improved, more varied menu. The food was delicious, high quality, and well-prepared. The drink menu is great, good choices of wines, beers, cocktails, and mocktails. Service was very good and ambiance is always nice, both inside and on the patio.

Yelp
Service is great and the food is amazing. Their patio is nice in the summer because it's covered and looks out at the lake across the street. I love the benoffee pie - a must try!

Yelp
Starting with the setting it is on lake st with a million dollar view of lake Minnetonka Yes "Princes" Purple rain lake Minnetonka it's a real Irish pub in Minnesota. They have a great menu all prepared with skill and pride we love coming here I had the fish and chips fresh perfectly prepared my wife had the mushroom Swiss burger and she loved the truffle fries we ended the meal with a key lime pie slice so sweet. The service is great with the servers knowing there fare well and the Guinness glows like spring water

Lori G.

Yelp
Stopped to have a Coffee and Baileys and decided to try their "special", the jambalaya. Just an overall disappointment. Coffee was burnt and barely warm, could tell it had sat around for quite some time and the jambalaya was so incredibly bland and completely uninspired. It was white rice with a bland tomato sauce and a couple pieces of shrimp and sausage. No melding of flavors, just not good at all!! When we told our waitress it was bland we got a look and eye roll. &57.00 for 2 coffees and a shared jambalaya, no thank you!

Yelp
Parking is at a premium in Wyzata, but it's free. I have yet to go to McCormicks and not find a spot within a block radius. But that's not why you go to McCormicks. You go for the Guinness. By far, the best I've found in the state and arguably, the best I've found anywhere. Not that I haven't had a single poured Guinness better in Boston, because I have. But it was one pour, vs every single time, getting something worthwhile. Honestly I can not speak highly enough about their Guinness. It's everything I could have ever hoped for so much more...every...single...time. Don't get me wrong, their food is good, their signature burger is wonderful, their truffle fries, worthy of brining home. But what gets me is obviously the Guinness. They are a super inviting bar/restaurant with wonderful views but you're going to be hard pressed to find an Irish pub with this much cleanliness, friendly and fast service, and warm feeling when you walk in the door. Honestly it's one of the few places I still visit where I feel like money was well spent. Love this place.

Yelp
Really nothing special about this place unfortunately. Super small portions and the service is just ok! Not worth the steep prices, so probably won't be back.

Yelp
I wanted to add to my review regarding Sunday at McCormick's in wayzata. Yes, our soup was removed from our bill after I asked her to. Yes, the burger was redone , it was better, but not close to what they can do. And, yes they always accommodate us. Lastly, Sunday's are a difficult day to eat out most everywhere, I just didn't think it would happen here.

Ronald R.

Yelp
The food ,ambiance and service . Love to stop in for a pint of Guinness and a double Jameson neat .
google avatar

Yelp
Great food and great service. The inside is a little dark in the evenings making it hard to see the menu but otherwise I always enjoy McCormicks.
google avatar

Yelp
McCormick's never fails to satisfy! Always enjoy the food here! Especially the breakfast selections! The service is great and the staff are always super friendly!
google avatar

Paisley M.

Yelp
Always a good time! Always delicious food! Always a good drink, be it a pint of Guinness or a cocktail! The food (cue chef's special) is amazing- seriously, never disappoints. You can't beat the location, especially when the patio area is open. However, if you're stuck indoors (gotta love Minnesota winters) you will really appreciate the decor- a real Irish pub theme. BTW McCormick's does such an amazing job celebrating St. Patrick's Day that you'll be longing for trip to the Emerald Isle! PS Please bring back Magners!

Yelp
Nice spot to grab a bite and a drink. We didnt eat but we had a couple of drinks. Nice Irish bar in a nice shopping town. Friendly staff and clean place. All the food I seen leave the kitchen looked great.

Ramon P.

Yelp
Didn't care for all the extras on the sandwich could not eat, left 90%. waitress answered sorry. Didn't have a penny, so I had to leave her a dollar

Yelp
Seven of us enjoyed a Sunday morning breakfast at McCormicks. Food and ambience are always good and the wait staff is excellent. Our server today, Harper, was especially great going out of her way to make it very enjoyable!

Yelp
Fun Irish pub in downtown Wayzata. We had a large group meeting there on a Thursday night and it was very busy. However the staff was more than accommodating, making sure we were happy and seating was ok. Really appreciated the follow on call during the day to confirm the reservation as well, so many places don't do this anymore. There is a large selection of appetizers. Everyone was very good. Can definitely recommend fried clams and wings, also the flash fried shishito peppers were excellent. You can choose from a number of mains including sandwiches, burger, etc. But they also have larger plates like steak fries. The fish and chips were really good. Beers on tap include local brews like Summit, Castle Danger and they also have Guinness and Smithwick's too. Service here is really good. Even with our large party, which was a handful, everything was timely and beverages were refilled quickly. This Irish pub is a great experience all around.

Yelp
I had terrific service from one of the bartenders/servers named Heather! She greeted me right away and delivered me a DELICIOUS lobster roll! I got it to-go and ate it by the water. It was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT....It was even better than the ones I have had in the past from Wayzata! I would HIGHLY recommend her and McCormick's as a whole! GREAT ESTABLISHMENT! Kudos

Yelp
The menu for summer has been taken up a notch with new presentations of old favorites. The salmon was amazing and the black bean soup was delicious. The soups are always winners here. So happy the turkey club is back on the menu, love it. The screened in patio is open again and is a great space. People watching on Lake street is always fun. Pat M

Yelp
Amazing service and great food. I had the Scallops and Smithwick. My mother had the fish and chips with truffle oil. Yum.
google avatar

Elijah W.

Yelp
We were very lucky to get in on Mother's Day without a reservation for brunch. We sat outside because the inside was completely packed. This caused service to be slow simply because there was only one other group seated outside so they probably forgot about us. That being said I think it would have been better any other day that they weren't so busy. The food was great. The steak and eggs were done perfectly and their special of the crab Benedict was incredible!

Dissatified C.

Yelp
Took my family for a special dinner. Service was exceptional, Jen was attentive but didn't hover. The cocktails and food were delicious, we really enjoyed the fried clams and sticky ribs appetizers. Meal portions were excellent. We especially enjoyed the banoffee pie, which is hard to find outside of the UK. I would highly recommend, and the view of the lake is lovely as well. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
In a rare visit to the suburbs we decided to return to McCormick's after a five year hiatus. We got their eggs Benedict and fish and chips for a late brunch. On a personal note, this was my first fish and chips since the start of the pandemic and I was SO excited. Anyway, both were fine. Nothing special, nothing bad. Which was a bit of a disappointment tbh, but 3 stars (2.5 if I could) because the bloody Mary I ordered was a nightmare. I don't leave wounded soldiers often but this was my first, and hopefully last experience with an *olive forward/dominant * bloody. You know how some recipes call for a pour of pickle juice? This bloody had a *strong* pour of olive brine...ew... at least they had Harp as the chaser.

Yelp
Hi, we only sat at the bar tonight for a drink but it felt so good to be out and about. Heather the bartender is so friendly and welcoming. We will be back for dinner and desert-the menu looks amazing.

Yelp
This is my favorite place in Wayzata for the past 5 years. The food is delicious & always consistent. The staff is so attentive & kind. I've never had a bad experience. The blackened Grouper sandwich is my fav. And the best fish & chips in Minnesota! **Bring bank the Steak Tartare!
google avatar

Yelp
Every time we eat here it exceeds expectations. The service is top-notch and the food is absolutely incredible. Katie was our waitress last time and she was awesome. We never had to wave her down for anything.

Yelp
We love Mccormicks! One of our very favorite places to eat. The patio is wonderful, love the bar area too and the beautiful dining area. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The lobster roll is my favorite. Good prices on wine, and the desserts are amazing. The wait staff is wonderful. Love you all!!
google avatar

Yelp
Really good food. Casual, but not to casual, place to relax with friends. I've never been disappointed with anything I've ordered.
google avatar

Emily J.

Yelp
The staff was incredibly friendly and made sure we were enjoying everything we ordered! The crispy wings were absolutely amazing and came out super hot and fresh!! We will definitely be back :-)
google avatar

Faith E.

Yelp
I personally didn't enjoy any of the items myself or my brother had. The server was kind and attentive to our needs. I like the area it's in but would appreciate better food !
google avatar

Cathy S.

Yelp
Imagine my disappointment when I saw here on Yelp that they had a happy hour and it was also listed on their website... but when I got there, NO happy hour! I even said to the hostess when I came in that we were there for happy hour. She didn't say anything and seated us. I felt bad for our waitress when we up and left because of no happy hour (i did leave a tip). If you are going for happy hour, i guess I'd call first.

J. M. B.

Yelp
Perfect experience despite horrible weather, short staff and limited bar service. Bartended was attentive and made sure we got what we needed.
google avatar

Philip C.

Yelp
Menu has a little of many international dishes including the delish empanadas. Beer selection is huge.
google avatar

Hilary F.

Yelp
We went for happy hour on a last minute whim and we're glad we did! Great happy hour with both food and drink options. We had shishito peppers, wings, burrata, fries, and sliders. All were delicious. Nothing crazy or unique about the food, it was all typical dishes. But it was done well! The service was great! Our server was fun, friendly, helpful with picking out items, and even snuck a drink on happy hour in for us 30 minutes after it was done :) Some logistical thoughts: great for a group of friends meeting up for a casual outing. Keep in mind the bar is smallish and crowded. It's quite noisy at the happy hour side (bar side). I don't know what the restaurant side is like since we didn't eat there but it is further away so I could forsee it being quieter. Street parking in Wayzata so plan for looking for spots especially during the busier times. We'll be back!!!

Jessica L.

Yelp
Absolutely excellent food. Asian ribs (appetizer) are a must try. Service was amazing as well.

Kay L.

Yelp
What happened to you, McCormicks?? This was one of my favorite places in Wayzata, until recently. About 3 months ago I came with friends and ordered the special of the evening, the miso glazed sea bass. I've had the dish before and it was always delicious. This particular evening I received a very small piece of fish on a bed of soggy greens that looked like mushy celery. No other side to go with it, and the cost was over $30. I did tell the server that I thought the dish wasn't adequate, and she agreed to take some $ off the price, which I appreciated. Two weeks ago my boyfriend and I, along with another couple, came for dinner on a Saturday night. When we arrived the restaurant was only 1/3 full, which seemed odd to us. We decided to order a bottle of wine to go with our dinner. I was very surprised at the very limited choices, but decided to ask the gentleman who was our server what the difference was between the white Bordeaux and the white burgundy. He gave us a blank look and said, "I really don't know". He answered the same way to another question about the wines. He made absolutely no attempt to find out, either. We did order a bottle of the white Bordeaux, which was good, but not great. The men ordered the walleye sandwich, and both of them rated it as "Meh". The women ordered the fish and chips and the chicken pot pie. The fish and chips weren't nearly as good as they had been in the past. And the chicken pot pie was nearly inedible. It appeared to have been a frozen dish that was extremely overcooked. The crust was tough and chewy and only covered about 2/3 of the dish. It didn't taste like a pie crust or anything close to what a pot pie crust should. There was almost no gravy, and the pieces of chicken were tough and chewy. It was terrible. Our server, who had no interest in us whatsoever, never came by to fill the wine glasses, ask how the meals were, or even find out if we were interested in dessert. If he had made an attempt to pay any attention to us at all we would have expressed our concerns - and perhaps ordered dessert. We left feeling very disappointed by the whole experience. We really loved McCormick's, but agreed that we wouldn't be going back.

G B.

Yelp
Consistently good food and service. Last go round I ordered the apple buttermilk salad and the apples were very brown. Tasted ok but not terribly appealing. Overall, really like this restaurant.

Nathalia T.

Yelp
Dinner with a view and live music. The food was good and the waiters kept checking up on us as well I would've hoped that the sauce I chose wasn't too spicy but then I should've checked what that sauce would've been like.

Susan H.

Yelp
Our own "Cheers", I enjoyed yet another delicious meal (oh, those filet mignon sliders!), friendly and efficient service, and a perfect latte for bunch today after Mass up the street at St. Bart's. McCormick's new and improved patio is so pleasant and the remodeled/refreshed interior is charming, too. I love how there are 3 different interior spaces (pub, dining room, and a cozy almost private feeling room). The hostess, Mary, greets us by name and always shows us to the best table. Rachel, our stalwart waitress, makes the whole meal enjoyable. Thank you so much to this wonderful, locally owned restaurant!

Dan K.

Yelp
Hard no on this place. Service blah, food blah, ambiance same. I can get an Irish whiskey anywhere...nuff said.

Yelp
Popped in for lunch. With Covid, reservations are for inside only, the lovely patio is first come first served. Both my spousal unit and I ate the same salad, but we each chose a different protein option. The Apple Buttermilk Salad was fabulous. Mine with grilled chicken, his with salmon. Both served with a sliced avocodo side and some slivers of gruyere cheese atop. The grilled chicken was 1/2 a thick breast, sliced longways creating 3 layers. This was laid on a healthy drizzle of yummy balsamic. The tasty buttermilk dressing was generous and evenly distributed. The apples were matchsticks, so I cannot say what type, but this salad was delicious! My husband's with salmon was excellent as well. He likes his salmon above medium & the chef was spot on. One thing we also loved about this restaurant is the draft beer choices. Lots of UK beers, which we love but can be difficult to find in this area with so many fine craft breweries. The service was excellent, as well. Masks are worn by all employees and a tall plexiglass protective shield for the hostess stand.

Kesha M.

Yelp
The best bar food in Wayzata, by far. However, I have to second, even and triple, guess their decision to remove the Diane burger from the menu in Spring, 2023. It's like when Coca-cola changed their formula. The Diane burger was a destination dish, a signature like Murray's Silver Butter Knife Steak, Mac's Industrial's Reuben, or Matt's Jucy Lucy. The establishment is still great, but for me will no longer be a first choice. Five of us went on Saturday May 13, all set on ordering the Diane. My son went with his mom the 14th for Mother's Day. Both ordered the Diane. Because of no Diane, both scratched McCormick's as a top choice. I don't see the sales numbers and know my analysis is anecdotal. But I also know, my visits will be infinitely less frequent, and limited to seeking the best pour of Guinness in MN.
google avatar

Rob K.

Yelp
Well, duh, of course I like McCormick's. Food is great, bar is cool, people look like they're glad you came and....the Guinness pour is right-on.

Yelp
We enjoyed an excellent dinner for my husband's birthday at this classy, warm, clean and moderately priced restaurant. My husband had the salmon salad, my son and I had the lobster roll. Our son's girlfriend had the salmon entree. Everything exceeded our expectations. The ambience is so beautiful and our server Stacy was attentive and kind. We'll come back here for sure!
