Look this place up and stopped here on my way back home. What a fantastic gem. I really had a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables . I bought some fresh bread and some bakery items. I also purchased some beets and other fresh vegetables. I really like how they had some samples of tomatoes and watermelon so that you can see when cut open how great they were.. They also had a table that gave free help with gardening and planting. My husband stopped to get some advice and that was really a bonus.. the other thing that I got was really great was granola. A lady they sold the granola in packs. It was fresh. It was delicious.. if you have not been here, you need to go this place has some great tints with all types of honey and other fantastic things.

I love every chance I get to get a Wednesday off. I get my homemade epanadas and my fresh vegetables. Especially I get five pints of Ssorted veggies for $20. Which would cost me way more in the grocery store. I fill up my veggie bin with a bounty of color and great veggies.

Great fruit and veg are available all summer long, and the mushroom stall is worth a visit for some harder-to-find fungis. There's also a vendor selling local honey and a very reasonable price. There are new booths since my last review. The pickles, the coffee, and the baked goods are all excellent. Make sure to swing by the gardening help booth and chat for a minute, too.

Yes, it is a smaller farmer's market, but the quality is exceptional! You'll find a variety of greens (not just edible), baked goods that are absolutely delicious, meats, honey, fresh seafood, and, it's right on the library's parking lot! Not only can you enjoy some great produce, but you can swing by the library and check out what they have to offer (which is a lot!).

This place is great. I have EBT and I got fresh veggies for my family. It is such a treat to get products that doesn’t have or grown without using chemicals. And, they have meat that is grass fed. Just because my family have EBT doesn’t mean we have to eat fatty or chemical based products. I love that we have an opportunity to eat products that are good for our bodies as well!!

This farmers' market features wonderful fresh produce, baked goods, preserves, and seasonal plants. Parking can be tight but vehicles move in and out with reasonable ease and admirable civility. It's also a good place to connect with local political groups, who typically staff tables on the perimeter.

The woman selling the salsa has good salsa. I sometimes try to schedule my doctor visits that day so I can be off from my job and then also visit to buy her salsa. The medium level is good.

Always great produce, fresh bread and even meat. Just remember, no dogs allowed and please do not leave them in your car on hot days if you plan on shopping at the farmers market.

Yelp
They don't have many vendors at this location. There were two selling produce, one selling less than herb plants, one with baked goods, and maybe three others for dog stuff and services. The two things I would go back to this place for are the SOFT farmers bread and pumpkin butter (which looked more like pumpkin purée). Parking may be a bit difficult here. I'm not sure where we could park. I had to park in a parking lot next to the gas station.

Yelp
Last week the weather was perfect so on Wednesday I journeyed over to the Mount Vernon Farmers Market. As is the nature of all farmer's markets- they are different every time you go so perhaps this was only an issue of the day I went, but, I wasn't incredibly impressed. Not a lot of selection and one of the pastry/bread providers was so unhappy that I will make it a point not to do business with them. The biggest highlight was the fresh produce. Ochoa Produce has the most beautiful beans I have ever seen in my life. I grew up on a farm and have seen A LOT of beans- so I believe (especially since I had to clean those beans as a child) I am qualified to say- they are incredibly beautiful. When I asked the young lady about the beans she let me know they had just been picked. Green, white and purple beans. I beg of you to purchase some of these yourself. Take them home, steam them and serve then up with a little olive oil, parmesan and garlic salt. Heavenly! I will go back and hope for better bread. The berry stand is also remarkable and the people there are outgoing, friendly and just plain love what they are doing. The three why's for going there? yum, yum, yum!

Yelp
Amazing quality and variety of produce. Several options regarding organic, beyond organic. Yummy baked goods. Fish vendor -- extra-ordinary scallops. Honey vendor. Best apple vendor in the DC area --- great berries too. Flowers that are exquisite. Herb vendor has amazing spices. Two meat and poultry vendors -- the eggs from the Amish vendor, so tasty, as are their Italian sausages and their pumpkin bread. Fajita meat from the other meat vendor is delicious. The broth is fabulous too. The chocolate milk and strawberry (real) yogurt from the milk lady is out of this world. And, I get to see my neighbors every time I go. Love it so much.
