We visited McDonald's corporate office and got to know the unique business that helps many people achieve their financial independence. Great business which continues to inspire, empower and reward hardworking people.

Very cool experience to try menu items from all over the world! The service was amazing and all of the food was fresh. The chargers built into the table were a nice amenity. Loved seeing Hamburger University next door.

I would give 0 if I could. The store in Kenosha Wi (Pershing Blvd) messed up an easy Filet O Fish sandwich. I opened the box and there was a bottom bun and a fish filet. No cheese and the tartar sauce looked like it was scraped off. The filet felt like it was sitting out for a long time. Instead of going back to complain, we just won't be back. I have been very disappointed the last few times we been there. Missing food and cold fries. Very disappointing.

I work for a soft drink company I go all over Indiana and the thing that I look forward to is mocha frappes and ice cream cone the first one or two that their machines was down I figured it's just a fluke but then the 15 others that I went through the same thing that's ridiculous with this big as a corporation and as much money as you guys make something that's so little and simple as those items you would think you guys would have the best and be on it. Maybe this is something that you guys can try to fix for the future but everybody knows and there's all kinds of jokes about how the ice cream machines never work and they're always down I appreciate your time and I wish that it could go back to the 90s when you guys was about something and took pride in it and the employees as well

1-Star Review: Disappointing Experience at McDonald's (8th Street & 11990 SW 8th St) Title: Unacceptable Treatment by Manager Wendy Rating: 1/5 I'm appalled by the horrific experience at this McDonald's location. Manager Wendy, an older, slender woman with black hair, displayed atrocious manners and disrespect. When I politely requested a toy swap for my autistic son's Happy Meal, she laughed and refused. Unacceptable Behavior - Disregard for customer needs - Insensitivity towards children with special needs - Unprofessional demeanor Avoid This Location Until McDonald's addresses this issue and trains staff on empathy and customer service, I advise against visiting. Demands for Improvement 1. Retrain Manager Wendy on customer service and sensitivity. 2. Implement policies supporting children with special needs. 3. Ensure staff understand the importance of empathy. Unacceptable Experience Manager Wendy's behavior was unacceptable. I expect better from McDonald's. Sincerely Odalys Valdes

Only hot 3/4 of a mocafrape, didn't fix the cheeseburger the way we asked, and didn't give us our fries we ordered. They claimed it wasn't thier fault, whose fault was it. We have not received decent services at all. This is McDonald's in Monroe, North Carolina. Don't eat there.

Google
Contacted the corporate office, with a concern about how issues on-site are de-escalated when the manager can't under the language. I was told that I had a personal problem with the manager (whom I've never met). Also told that I just wanted the world ran my way. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told that there was nothing that a supervisor could do to assist me that he couldn't do. The GM stated that they were going to put the young lady in classes to learn English (which is great), however what happens in the meantime when there's an issue she can't de-escalate because she doesn't speak or understand the language. That's a legitimate question. I don't have to worry about it really because I won't be going back to any location, however the level of unprofessionalism especially by the agent was unbelievable. If these are these are the types of attitudes expected in the corporate office, I actually understand why they facility is being ran in the manner that it is.

Google
Why is it every time I go to McDonald's now regardless of location they have me pull to a spot and wait for 20 minutes just to bring me a cold bag of food your restaurant has taken the fast out of fast food a category which it invented and the reason the restaurants do it is because you measure their performance based upon people's time at the window which doesn't matter if you're just going to have then pull forward into a parking spot and wait for half an hour. The Waiting wouldn't even be so bad if you actually got fresh food but when the food comes out cold that just tells me it was already ready and there was no reason for me to have to pull to the side and wait for it.

Yelp
Ambiance - clean, love the modern look, great for quick bite/lunch Service - speedy, got my order within 5 min of ordering at the kiosk, I would recommended ordering on the app earlier if you are in a rush Food - unique location that offers global menu favorites, the spicy black pepper chicken nuggets had a great balance of heat/black pepper flavor, fries were hot

Yelp
Ate at McDonalds while I was on business trip to Chicago. This location is next to the McDonalds headquarters. Very clean, modern, and high-tech. They have a bunch of tables for people to sit down and eat. They also have charging stations for your phone. They offer kiosks to order food or you can go up to the counter to place your order with an employee. This location also offers the global favorites menu - which is limited and the menu rotates daily. I ordered the following to try from the global favorites offering: - BBQ Smokehouse McCrispy (from England) - my favorite out of the items on the menu for the daily special. The McCrispy was extra crispy. The sandwich came out warm. Would recommend. - 6 piece Spicy Garlic Black Pepper Chicken Nuggets (from Japan) - didn't taste spicy at all. Wasn't as crispy as the regular chicken nuggets but overall the taste was good. Went well with the sweet and sour sauce. - 3 White Chocolate McPops (from Spain): came out cold. Wasn't my favorite. Texture was ok, it kind of tasted like it was stale. Not my favorite.

Yelp
The Service was excellent and the host was very friendly considering the long line ahead of me and behind us!! Treated us well and with Respect!

Yelp
Hamburger university is the McDonald's to be at! With a rotating menu with items that change from all over the world, you never know what you're going to get to try! Quick, self-ordering service and a clean environment.

Yelp
I was expecting a lot more from the international menu but I was a bit underwhelmed by the choices, sadly. At least the service is quick and the staff are super friendly.

Yelp
I was glad we visited this place but was kind of disappointed that the global menu was limited. Upon further research, it was because they rotate their global menu daily and only serves limited variety per day. We did the self order on the monitor and took our time picking what we wanted. If I was not pregnant, I would've chosen either the shrimp or burger but I chose chicken for safety of eating either a half cooked burger (not that they serve half cooked but I was just cautious) or seafood. Anyway, most of the global menu that day we visited were composed of the sweets. The McPops tasted like the Dunkin's Munchkins but bigger. The Caramel McFlurry tasted like normal vanilla ice cream with flavoring on top. The double chicken burger was normal and the winter fries were good. Our orders arrived immediately that I was surprised at how fast it took. There's also free candy to grab on the counter but I didn't like the mints. Overall, I enjoyed my meal here.

Yelp
Great service, very clean, and has outdoor seating. We ordered the: Ebi burger (without mustard) from Japan Big tasty burger from Sweden Salted caramel soft serve cone from Korea Highly recommend the salted caramel soft serve cone. The flavors complimented each other so well! The ebi burger was a nice change from the filet o fish. Would try again. The big tasty just tasted like a Big Mac. Nothing special.

Yelp
I wanted to check out the Global Menu when I was in Chicago. Overall it the hype is not worth it! I was expecting more international items on their menu than their actually was. Additionally I went around 7:30 on a Wednesday and they were sold out of most of the international items so I was only able to try a few. It felt like the restaurant had very limited staffing in the dining room and condiments, utensils, etc. weren't readily available like you would expect at any other store. I like the hip trendy atmosphere, but it is very self-servicey where you order at a kiosk and they bring it out to you. Very little interaction with any employees.

Yelp
The food is McDonald's . The service I would say is great but don't use the table order function because then they will think your a homeless person Insted of a customer and tell you you cannot sit there but your waiting on your food .

Yelp
Can't go wrong with McDonald's coke I swear it's the best!! This location is awesome but lately the communication between employees is crazy. 4 employees behind the counter and not 1 of them asked what I was waiting for while I watched everyone received their orders. I was waiting for a large coke for 15minutes. Till finally 1 of them finally asked. Definitely needs more communication!!

Yelp
We heard about the global menu offerings at this location and we had to give it a try. While some of the items were unavailable by the time we arrived, we were still able to try a few things including a shrimp filet, chicken tasty and salted caramel ice cream. We also threw in a oreo pie for good measure. Staff was nice despite us arriving at what we thought was closing time but apparently not because people still arrived to order in person and pick up food from delivery services. If back in town I would return to see what else they put on the menu.

Yelp
I wanted to check out their Global menu. Since I was going to eat lunch shortly, I only was able to try something small. I saw that they had Salted Caramel soft serve. It seemed kind of ironic eating it in the middle of winter. Ordered on kiosk which was touchscreen. I took a number stand and sat down at a table. Within minutes, I received my cone at my table. I didn't think the salted caramel dip was too sweet. Cone tasted fresh. I'll come back to try their other items on global menu.

Yelp
The corporate office/global location McDonalds!! First off the service was great. We were greeted as we entered! I have never received experience and welcome like that before. We got to try different items that are only located in other countries such as the McTasty, Chicken McTasty, Crispy waffle chips, Donut holes, etc. They had the process down of having many kiosks available. The food was ready so fast (fast food Lol) and they delivered it to our table! What a fun experience!
google avatar

Yelp
So cool adventures if you want to travel outside of the Twin City, You can travel to the Hamburger University in Chicago and try different types of foods from different countries. The customer service was great and very upbeat. The food was different from ours but the experience was very fun. It's downtown, so you can see the sights also.. Awesome place to go

Yelp
My daughter and I decided to check out the McDonald's Global Menu Restaurant; we went specifically for the global menu. I love the phone stations on the table and the very comfortable seating options. We order quite a bit; Chicken Big Mac (messy for delicious), McAloo Tikki (vegetarian option - it was just okay, Garlic Pepper Crisscross fries (to die for, I wish these were at every McDonald's), Double Bulgogi Burger the teriyaki sauce was good, but the sandwich wasn't my favorite) 4 pack of McPop variety (these were not very tasteful) 1 Canadian Donut (if you like chocolate you will like these) and a Crème Brûlée Donut (favorite). The cashiers seemed a little flustered but the person that brought out our food to our table was friendly. We will come back to check out new Global selections.

Yelp
This is the fanciest McDonald's I have ever seen! This location is right around the corner from McDonald's corporate office, so it makes sense that this is the best of the best. The decor is clean and modern to the point where I didn't really feel like I was in a McDonald's. There are plenty of self-service kiosks, but ordering at the counter or from your table via the app is an option. My order was brought out quickly by some of the friendliest employees that I have ever interacted with. They even checked in on my meal like it was a sit down restaurant. The best part of this location is the Global Menu. I think it's fun to be able to sample items from menus that normally are not available in the US. Overall, it's not fine dining, but when I'm in the area and need something quick, I appreciate having this as an efficient, clean, and pleasant option.

Yelp
I have wanted to come here for awhile because of their global menu and the hype around the international McDonald's. I finally made it here and was somewhat disappointed. The McDonald's itself is very nice-- it's clean, modern, the staff is friendly, and there is lots of seating. The disappointing part for me was how limited the international menu was. There were about 5 global menu options in total that were available. There were more it seems like, but they were sold out. This is a good place to come if you don't have your heart set on getting international food and would be happy with just regular McDonald's in a nicer environment. Don't get your hopes up too high for the global favorites!
google avatar

Jasper C.

Yelp
It's McDonald's, but with limited global options! I thought it would be fancier on the inside, but it's just a step up from every other McDonalds. The table service was them simply bringing your stuff in takeout bags; no trays. I wasn't super wow-ed at their global offerings, and the selection was minimal. It would've been nice to have more options instead of an American-based menu. They also left out the main part of my meal: the sandwich. Luckily, the staff were super kind! Just go to a regular McDonald's unless you REALLY want to try something from out of the country. Even then, you could just go to a local business that serves unique cultural foods.

Looking Out For The City ..

Yelp
I had recently made a mistake on one of my orders here. Apparently, I wanted a Mcmuffin with Canadian bacon and cheese only. They ended up putting an egg on it because they thought it was an egg mcmuffin. I feel this is wrong terminology. When I order a "Sausage Mcmuffin with cheese", I get it exactly as specified. I think the Egg McMuffin should be called "Canadian Bacon McMuffin with Cheese" (or "with egg and cheese" if one were to add egg") The inconsistency in naming things is mind boggling. I will not even get started on the Big Mac. I will complain about that if I receive a wrong lunch item. Thank you!

Yelp
Great customer service. Services fast. Food is fresh. It's nice that headquartered is right next door. Ambiance is typical fast food. If you visit take the mints.

Yelp
Nice and unique! In this branch, they serve international operations from McDonald's all around the world. When we got there there was several Japanese burgers , french pastries and Italian snaks. Very nice food experience. Staff were super nice and the place was very clean everywhere. I will come here afain whenever i am in Chicago.
google avatar

Rebecca X.

Yelp
I came back here last week. Lucky for me, the global menu had finally changed, and I think it's even better now. The bleu cheese burger (French) tasted amazing. The Hong Kong wasabi fries were also delicious (think wasabi pea seasoning on fries) and the Italian baci McFlurry (hazelnut bits and chocolate syrup) definitely beat the Brazilian one from before. Service was still fast and easy just like the previous visit. I'm looking forward to what the future brings!

Yelp
An interesting concept store but flawed in ways concept stores shouldn't be. They have an incredibly nice interior but hide things that are common to most McDonalds--the drink machine, napkins, straws...there isn't even a bathroom sign (they have bathrooms). The premise to get you here is a revolving menu of sandwiches, salads and desserts found in international locations. For now, there are three hamburger and chicken sandwiches, a couple salads from France, and a Brazilian dessert that looks remarkably similar to an American sundae. And there's the problem: For years I've heard about really exotic McDonalds offerings like the Matcha Oreo McFlurry sold in Japan, Poutine fries in Canada, and the Shrimp Burger in South Korea. But no. The offerings at this "Global" McDonalds are similar products to their usual American fare with a slight variation in ingredients. I wasn't expecting some of the more "Fear Factor" samplings I've read about, but I was surprised how similar the "global" fare this location featured is to what your average American restaurant offers. The Mighty Angus Burger (called the Mighty Angus Range in Canada) is nothing more than a basic signature sandwich using an angus beef patty. It doesn't even look like a real Mighty Angus Range. The Australian cheese and bacon fries (sold here without the usual guac you'd get in Australia) is yummy, but it's hardly Australian to throw a tiny bit of food service cheese and salty bacon bits onto thin French fries. So that's the "global" menu. They still offer their regular American menu of Big Macs, Chicken McNuggets, breakfast sandwiches, etc. The store itself is a lightyear in interior design and cleanliness from what most McDonalds are, and the employees were friendly. The design is almost chic enough to make you forget you're in the same place that uses a pink bactericide on its chicken McNuggets. This location (like most) doesn't recycle, and stranger still is when you ask for a soda refill they just throw away your old plastic cup, lid & straw and give you a new one. It was fun to visit one time, but this isn't enough of a draw to keep me coming back for their changing menu.
google avatar

Yelp
Say what you want about McDonald's but this location lets you sample the McDonald's food items from around the world. Featured countries are hong Kong, Australia, France, and Canada. All the hong foods from those areas without the travel. I'm looking forward to trying the other foods of the many countries that McDonald's has a local presence in. Who needs a food tour when you can just go to this international McDonald's nearby. This place is super clean, friendly, and attentive. Customer service is amazing! If the other McDonald's locations took a lesson from this group of professionals, it'll be a overall better experience. Five stars cause it is different.

Yelp
Hit or miss. The morning that I went with my family the menu was very underwhelming. My brother got a Chinese inspired sandwich but it didn't seem very special. I ended up just getting a hash brown and an sausage mcmuffin. We got orange juice and some coffee that has hazelnut in it. However, when we walked past it again in the afternoon the menu had changed and it looked a lot more appealing. With that being said my review is based JUST on what we had that morning. It's a huge space with lots of seating, and for the most part was self-order using the machines - easy to navigate but can be bothersome just going back and forth seeing the entire menu. I wish they gave more options during each meal, but I guess that's the factor that draws you back. Would I return? If I was in the area, why not. Would I go out of my way to make another visit? Probably not, unless I KNEW there was something phenomenal on the menu.

Yelp
****Opening Day Review The future of McDonalds has arrived as I tried out the new McDonalds ultra sleek Chicago Flagship Restaurant in the Fulton Market. This new location is also in the same building of the new home of the Corporate HQ for McDonalds. This awesome new high tech McDonalds is unlike any location you have been too before. In addition to the menu basics this location features a "Global Menu" of items that are served around the world and not specifically served in the United States. The menu features a delicious spicy chicken sandwich from Hong Kong and even a well crafted soft-serve ice cream treat from Brazil with strawberry sauce and chocolate-covered coconut candies. My personal favorite is the cheese & bacon loaded fries from Australia. There is also a full espresso bar with baristas making coffee to perfection. The vibe and ambiance is cool and the decor is modern and well done. There are also phone chargers are built into all the tables. This location also features several self touch screen ordering kiosks. The McDonalds has a sleek clean and comfortable atmosphere combine that with the high speed WiFi, full coffee bar, and delicious new "Global" menu!

Yelp
There are a couple of things that makes this McDonalds special - it's in their brand new office building, next to Hamburger University, yes that is real thing. It's a gigantic space and it features the "World" menu with some of McD's greatest hits from around the globe. Still low budget, still mediocre, but at least in an international way. Now you don't have get out your passport to experience such legends as Hong Kong's spicy chicken sandwich, Australia's loaded bacon fries, Brazil's McFlurry prestigio or the Italian Mozzarella salad from Paris, not Italy. It's a cool concept, but I'm afraid the food may be based on international menus but it tastes the same as most other McShlock. It has those damn robot kiosks to take your order which makes the experience even even that much more sterile and devoid of humanity.
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely disgusting service. Their app is terrible. First it robbed me of my free chicken sandwich with a minimum spend of 1 dollar. Then it erased my daily deals. They had had YEARS to get their app right. Yet when a worker puts in the code it doesn't even do what it says in the apps.. and the workers wrong their hands and say there is nothing they can do. F for customer service!!

Yelp
Global menu is here!!!!! Try the foods from France, to Australia to Hong Kong! I walked all the way over here from work just to try the global items. Now they just opened today so the wait is slightly long but moving. When you first walk in there's kiosks right in front of you and some in the back. If you're looking to sit down and eat, don't bother. It's way too crowded! I'm waiting in line as I review this place. Lol Well I ordered the Canadian burger and the Australian loaded fries. Both really good!!!!!!!! Fresh bun and patty and ingredients. I would hope since they're new! They almost forgot my fries, good thing I didn't walk away from the counter and checked my bag first. If you dine in, they'll bring the food to you but again please practice patience as they are new. Overall the experience was nice and so was the staff. From the greeter, to the order taker and the woman calling out the number (poor thing). Seating is hard to come by but they're new and I expect it. So I'm dining with construction workers lol. I say try it!!!!!!

Yelp
I LOVE this McDonald's!!!! Super modern internal design. Lots of self-service ordering kiosk (you can only order from the machine). Spacious dining area with some seats with wireless chargers available. A great spot to grab a quick bite or just to hangout with friends with their brazilian ice cream on a waffle cone. Loved the bacon and cheese loaded fries and hong kong chicken sandwich!!!!

Yelp
This location is definitely an upgrade from a typical McDonalds dine-in experience. Order at one of the touchscreen kiosks or counter registers, grab a tent (table number), find a seat, and your order will be brought to you. The kiosks worked well and we were served within ten minutes of ordering. For 9:00 pm at night, it was a little slow. I imagine it will quickly become a popular lunch destination in the West Loop! The Global Favorites are fun to browse. The menu rotates each month, and during May, you'll find a few items from France, Canada, China, and Brazil. The calorie count is displayed, so there no guessing there. They were out of the spicy chicken sandwich from China, which was a bummer, but the mozzarella and sun dried tomato pasta salad from France was surprisingly tasty. Of course, you can choose from the classic American menu too. The dine-in experience was pleasant. We sat on two low-back leather (!!) chairs. There are long community tables with wireless charging stations and outlets. The place was immaculate. The ice cream counter was spotless. It was really impressive! There was no outdoor seating, but plenty of space available, so hopefully that comes soon.

Yelp
Overall this place is mainly for the hype. As others have stated already this place is really unorganized in terms of getting your order and getting you in and out. A lot of the different items on the menu are very similar in terms of the general US menu. But some of them are very unique. This place stands out because it has global food items from McDonald's menus not in the US. McSpicy Chicken - essentially its a more crispy McChicken for double the price. Nothing is really different tbh. Strawberry Topped Sunday - essentially strawberry Sunday with extra rolled waffles on the top sticking out. Bacon and Cheese Fries - this is probably the most unique item that was featured on the menu. But just keep note that the actual bacon and cheese mix is very salty. It makes you very thirsty and it also is a very unfulfilling and unsatisfying after awhile. Side salad - I don't understand the concept of how this is from a different country or a different menu. But let's not lie about this it's literally just a side salad nothing is different at all.

Yelp
Is it weird to say I've been dreaming of this place for over a decade now? Long ago I had to go to the old McD HQ in Oakbrook, and my friends and I imagined that there must be a McDonald's location on that campus that A) served up food from across the world B) served up items not available to the public or C) be immaculate to the point where the food looked like it does in the commercials. I mean, it makes sense right? Here we have this global company, and if ever there was to be a perfect location, it would be at their global headquarters. Sadly, we never found it, but we did go to a wedding on the McD HQ campus that served us McD cheeseburgers. So now part of that dream has come true, with the only McDonald's that serves up multiple country's exclusive items. It's hard to judge the exclusive food since they announced it would rotate, but I did enjoy my Australian cheese bacon fries, and the French salad with chicken and pasta - if either of these were on the American menu I'd get them. I was less impressed with the infamous Hong Kong McSpicy, which ironically wasn't spicy. To note is that you'll never know what's in stock. It made news when they ran out of everything after their first day, and when we went on a Saturday afternoon they were out of the Canadian burger. The exterior is super snazzy, as it's attached to their main building. Inside the tables have phone chargers built in, and the table service worked fine for us. In the end, it's still a McDonald's and you can't expect too much from it. If you're like me and have to visit a Mickey D's when visiting foreign countries, it's definitely a fun place to stop in. Especially if you've been day drinking in the West Loop.

Yelp
Finally! Stopped at 5, yeah 5 Mc Donald's on Hillsboro Ave in Tampa. Not until we got to Oldsmar, the fifth stop could I get a Mocha Frappe. Tell me, how could 4 Machines be put of order. Sounds fishy to me...like maybe someone didn't want to do their job and clean the machine that makes them. I think I will write to Corporate office just to let them know. After all it's only 95° out. Why keep the ice cream machine working! Wow!

Yelp
Overall: A disappointing experience at the McD's HQ, which will hopefully improve over time. The good: The international menu is said to rotate over a month or so, which will be great for trying new items. The atmosphere is clean and the touch screens are a nice addition if that's your cup of tea. Which, speaking of, this location also has a good sized McCafe to go along with the regular menu. As for the service, they gave us free fries with their mess ups on the order (see next section). The not-so-good: One of the slowest McD's I've been to in awhile, and it's at their headquarters? Pretty odd. Not only that, but they screwed up 3/7 orders between all of us. For the "international menu" hype, it couldn't have been more disappointing. If items like a Spicy McChicken, Angus Burger, and a "French side salad" are going to be highlights, they won't be busy here for very long. Atmosphere:7/10 Service: 5/10 Food: 6/10

Yelp
*Gross alert* Got really excited at this new McDonald's which is supposed to have international food items and a cafe with pastries. On top of that, it's at McDonald's New Headquarters, in a sleek, modern setting. While the idea sounds fantastic (who wouldn't want to try the Canadian burger and bacon fries or desserts from Brazil), the whole experience was a shit show. Literally. Last night, my girlfriend and I both wanted to try these new items. Well we ended up getting a quarter pounder with cheese and bacon fries and me an expresso and croissant after they sold out of the Canadian angus burger. It was tasty but about half an hour after eating, before we even left, we both got severe diarrhea and stomach cramps - bad. We ate nothing else except very early that day, and we definitely both washed our hands before - she even took pics of the Dyson hand dryers. Needless to say we spent quite some time keeled over on the toilet, even till today. Service was also subpar. These ordering screens were convenient, but getting the food was confusing, and my cafe order and several other patron's orders were messed up with the wrong item, missing / duplicates, etc. (I knew because people were complained). It was a slow night too compared to any other McDonald's. Also, we got no napkins, utensils, or ketchup thinking they were out for self service, but none was to be found anywhere. Tables were also dirty as the place seemed way understaffed. There was no milk or sugar for coffee (I asked and everything come from a programmed machine). The only upside was that the toilets were very clean... good thing for reasons listed above. I'm overall disappointed and underwhelmed at this McDonalds, which is supposed to be the model for the future. When I recover, I'll definitely go elsewhere for my burger and fries fix (Shake Shake, Kuma, Burger Hall, etc). I recommend anyone reading this to do the same, unless you want to spend time in their nice modern toilets.

Yelp
I've never been to a McDonald's in the city proper, and I doubt I ever will now that my first experience occurred here. It was cool in a futuristic sense. Immaculately clean with red tinted glass in the entryway that I'm sure serves some purpose that I can't intuit. The novelty of having table service right here at the mothership appealed to me greatly. The international menu items are getting a lot of attention. I ordered the Angus burger from Canada and the Fried Chicken Mozzarella salad from France. It was roughly a 2000 calorie lunch. The salad was fantastic but I still fail to understand the appeal of anything but thin patties at fast food restaurants--when you overcook a large beef patty the sauce can't make up for it. The hype is real, though perhaps a bit exaggerated. Based on all of the "Look at what they serve at McDonald's in ____!" articles I used to read while procrastinating in college, I expected things to be a bit wackier than cheese-fries, a burger, and salads. I will return as long as the international items keep rotating (but please keep that salad).

Yelp
Cancel all the other West Loop restaurants, which are nonsense. McDonald's very own Hamburger University is the only place to get a juicy, inexpensive burger with a quality bun. As soon as I passed through the red glass doors, I embarked on a global expedition. I touched down in Australia, to gobble a spicy crispy burger that tasted suspiciously similar to its spicy tendercrisp American counterpart. I took a red-eye to Hong Kong, to inhale some wasabi fries (apparently, wasabi is a Cantonese thing. Not Japanese! Ok! Just like how the McDonald's British Chai Tea establishes once and for all that chai is British! Not Indian!) I then flew over to Italy for a Baci McFlurry that was thick, cold, and crispy. Hamburger U tirelessly proves how all over the world, McDonald's tastes like McDonald's. But only at Hamburger U does McDonald's taste slightly better than McDonald's.

Yelp
Gorgeous large comfortable stylish restaurant serving a rotating selection of food offerings from other McDonald's global locations. The bacon and cheddar fries were excellent. The lemon yellow Italian coffee bar is sweet.

Yelp
This location carries international items on their menu. I had a Manhattan salad from France, cheese and bacon fries from Australia, and a chocolate sundae from Brazil. Food was very fresh and delicious. Highly recommend.

Yelp
This is fast food and it's not meant to compete with the upscale fanfare around the area. I'm also certain that everyone that reviews this hq location knows that too. So why all the hate within the first month of its opening? There's a self order kiosk, a rotating international menu, and food delivered to your table. When someone reviews a McDonald's, shouldn't they review it with that kind of perspective? Compare amongst its chain not with the normal attitude you'd have for something at Fulton market.

Yelp
I was really looking forward to seeing this new space but wasn't feeling well so had a friend bring me lunch from there. Based on that: The fries were undercooked and the McNuggets were overcooked. My friends said the place seemed chaotic and that the kinks were still being worked out. I shall go back again to see the place and taste their rotating world menu. Hopefully can get some Veg Maharaja Mac, Sesame Ebi Filet-O Sesame Buns, Nouveau au bleu....

Yelp
This Location is part of the new McDonalds Headquarters in the west loop. However, I can't say this is a McDonalds I will be back in without some incentive. This location looks nice, but they don't sell the best breakfast sandwich known in the states from the chain. The Sausage egg biscuit with cheese or Mc Griddles from what I found out. Strike one; the second strike was that my order was incorrect. Third, the overall experience was just wrong. When you look around it seems like this Mc Donalds was more so for employee use. At Least it will be in the future if they don't get it right. I could get bad service from any of my friendly neighborhood Mc Donalds if I wanted it. This location is supposed to be the Tony Stark of the Chain. And the Star rating is because of all of the above and the business owner adding photos of menu Items to the yelp page that they don't sell there. False advertisement!

Yelp
I've been back a couple times now and things are a little less chaotic. It's still one of the slowest McD's out there though. Also, as a furniture manufacturer, I have to comment on how incredibly uncomfortable all the furniture is. Stools with no backs. Booths with totally vertical backs. It seems like everything was designed to appear welcoming while simultaneously being as uncomfortable as possible. That's probably something that a normal person would never notice, but I definitely did. At the end of the day, it's a McDonald's. Set your expectations accordingly and it'll be fine.

Yelp
At opening - this McDonalds is inside the new corporate headquarters and tries to bring a few selections from international McDonalds menus. I tried the australian bacon and cheese loaded fries and brazilian sundae. Neither were very good (cheese was a generic velveeta type), sundae was way too sweet - I guess international McDonalds is still McDonalds after all. But the concept and design makes it more interesting than a normal McDonalds and I look forward to seeing what other selections they bring forward in the future - also it seems to have wireless charging at the seating.

Yelp
You'd think the location at HQ would have its stuff together. Nope! Waited 10 minutes for an ice cream cone and coffee while eight people stood around bumping into each other behind the counter. Not even busy. SMH. If they can't get it right here... Sell your stock if you own it.

Yelp
In case you haven't heard, McDonald's moved their headquarters to the West Loop in Chicago and they also opened a new location with International items along with it!!! I was super excited to try food served at McDonald's all over the world. As I expected, it was 10x better than their regular menu items! I got the Italian Mozza Salad from France, the McFlurry Prestigio from Brazil and the Chai Latte from Australia. My favorite item that I tried was the Prestigio McFlurry. So. Damn. Good: it comes with creamy vanilla and strawberry ice cream topped with chunks of chocolate. I loved it. My second favorite item was the Mozza Salad. It came with chicken strips, kale (I think), marinated tomatoes, mozzarella cheese and a side of bread. This did not taste like your average fast food salad. It came with fresh ingredients and the taste blended with all the ingredients was just right. Lastly, the chai latte was okay. It tasted like they put way too much milk in it so you couldn't taste the other ingredients. They will update their global menu every month. I can't wait to try other international items, soon! The inside was modern and in great shape, they had staff walking around cleaning every minute to make sure the place was in excellent condition. Very impressive for McDonald's! I will definitely make the long commute to come back here and try new international items.

Yelp
Considering this is the HQ... very disappointing!! With hotels near by and visitors from all over ... they are often out of many of the global menu items and there is nothing futuristic about this place! The design is boring! The employees are there for a pay check! No eye contact no smiles or customer service, no pleasant interactions, nothing to embrace the visitors in the area or to represent a McDonald's HQ w/global menu items! Ugggh

Yelp
One of my favorite McDonald's locations ever and it's only fitting that it's at HQ aka Hamburger University. This location features menu items from across the globe. I had a burger inspired by Germany, a croissant inspired by France with chocolate and Hazelnut (think Nutella), sweet potato fries from heaven lol a chai from England and a sundae inspired by Brazil. Good eats and an awesome ambiance if you're ever in the West Loop or just want to mix it up. Highly recommend!
