I am writing to formally report a very disappointing and unacceptable experience I had during my visit to your McDonald’s location at 3 South Saint Andrew Street, Edinburgh, on Thursday at around midnight.
I have visited this restaurant many times and have always received friendly and efficient service, but what I experienced during this visit was completely unacceptable.
During my visit, I witnessed extremely unprofessional behaviour from the manager on duty, Anna Krzeminska, who was unable to answer basic questions about my order or provide clear information. Her communication was unclear and she did not appear to know how to properly manage the situation or support her team.
I also spoke with the security guard at the store, who confirmed the names of the staff involved. The crew trainer, Tania, was behaving very rudely towards the crew members. She was speaking in an aggressive and disrespectful manner, talking down to others, and creating a very uncomfortable environment. Based on what I witnessed, she does not seem suited for the role of a crew trainer, as she does not treat trainees or team members with professionalism or respect.
Despite this behaviour happening openly in front of customers, the manager, Anna Krzeminska, took no action to address the issue or correct the conduct. The lack of leadership contributed to a chaotic and poorly managed atmosphere.
During this time, several customers, including myself, waited over 20 minutes for food that had already been prepared and was sitting on the counter. No staff members were serving the orders, and the service was extremely slow and disorganized.
This entire experience was shocking, especially given the positive visits I have had at this location in the past. The behaviour I witnessed does not reflect the standards McDonald’s is known for.
I kindly request that this matter be taken seriously and that appropriate steps are taken to improve management, staff behaviour, and customer service at this location.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your response.
