This ours a very fancy McDonald’s. I’ve driven past many times but this is my first visit. There are 2 floors!

Service has gone down hill in recent years. Used to be one of the best in the area. Today. I had a very basic order in the drive through. I was asked to pull forward and wait. I waited for 10 - 15 minutes before I finally went inside and asked for my order.

We just needed a little something to eat because we somewhere to be. We got the breakfast burritos, hash browns and drink. We were visiting the area and the building for this McDonald's in Independence. It is a two story building and much better than the current 'decor' in most of their restaurants. We struggled a little with getting our order clear, but that is due to the way McDonald's pictures the meals menu which is not accurate and explains nothing. However, the person taking my order... YES! Taking my order, listening to me and helping me get what I wanted-So thankful! Instead of trying to use the kiosk, that never works for me. We sat down and enjoyed our food in this bright eatery because of many windows and pleasant decor. There are also tables designed for wheelchairs to pull up.

Extremely disappointed. I asked the cashier three times to make the fish sandwiches fresh—she agreed, but didn’t do it. Worse, they added tomatoes, which I’m severely allergic to. The nuggets we paid for weren’t in the bag, and the chicken sandwich was burnt and inedible. We ended up throwing everything away and making food at home. This meal cost nearly $20, and it was a complete waste. I was just trying to treat my family, and instead we left frustrated and hungry. The staff seemed immature, distracted, and not taking their job seriously. I understand staffing can be tough, but that’s no excuse for poor service and dangerous mistakes. We’ll never come back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. I doubt management will do anything, which is why people just stop coming instead of complaining. Terrible experience.

Order thru the McDonalds app. I order a quarter pounder meal with bacon no pickle.. I got a burger with no bacon & the best thing they could do was put my name down in a book to get a sandwich whenever I come in…how does that work out for what I paid for. I’m at work on lunch with no car. They gave me a burger with only onions on it. I’m so mad I will never order not only from this location but thru the McDonald’s app never again! Just horrible customer service! I would not recommend anyone order off the app or from this location at all! If they can’t read a simple paper with simple instructions why spend your money there!

Pisseed they just gave me the COMPLETE wrong breakfast order and breakfast is over! I thought they had cameras they take pics or video of cars and attaches the order so there’s no mixups! This just pissed me off so bad! I called and the manager took my name down for a future order now I’m starving & I just got off work!

I got the McChicken sandwich only because I saw an ad for one and it looked good. When I received mine, it looked absolutely nothing like what is advertised. Barely any lettuce and mayo was all dumped on one side. I know it's McDonald's and not the healthiest, but presentation matters.

I was excited to go here since it's a beautiful building. But after entering and seeing trash all over the dining room we decided we could not eat there. While waiting for our take out we notice they had food and trash on the floor in the kitchen. No thank you. I can't eat food from there. Won't go back again. Husbands food was cold and mushy.

Nostalgic location. I remember when it had a piano that played by itself on the second floor. It is a mostly clean location with sticky floors which is consistent with many locations. The staff was nice and engaging and the food was consistent with typical Mickey D fare. We sat on the second floor overlooking the lobby because why not.

From the outside, the McDonald's looked like a McMansion, not some fast food joint. Way bigger and nicer than the McDonald's in the suburb where I live. During my most recent visit, the second floor was open, so after my friend and I ordered our milkshakes, we grabbed a table upstairs. The interior of the restaurant was just as nice as the exterior. The decor was sleek and elegant, and our table was spotless. The staff was also friendly and quickly brought us our milkshakes. The employee who brought me my strawberry shake raced up the stairs to give me my milkshake. If you typically don't like McDonald's fare, the Independence location is unlikely to change your mind. Though it looks way fancier than your average McDonald's, the food is like what you would find at your average McDonald's. My strawberry shake was not any better, not any worse, and- most importantly-not any more expensive than a shake from my local McDonald's. If you're in the mood for Mickey D's, you can't really go wrong with the Independence location. And if you don't feel like doing the drive-thru and you feel like dining in, you really can't go wrong with the Independence location. It's quiet and clean, and you can take your time sipping your milkshake and/or eating your food. And you certainly can't beat the ambiance.

Ordered online for pick up. Very quick and simple. Ordered a chicken sandwich that tasted very good. I ate inside quickly. They kept everything very clean.

multiple negative visits to this location prompted this review. each time the dining areas lacked basic cleaning hygiene. today there were used and damp cleaning rags in each dining area upstairs and downstairs, and used cleaning gloves in the ladies restroom. napkins, lids, and condiments were barely stocked. and staff didn't pay attention after 5 minutes of waiting at the front counter. Several workers were eating food, phone in hand, and one was laying down on a bench in the general dining area. of note, an upstairs window seam was leaking onto the floor in the rainy weather. would not recommend this location.

This used to be my favorite Mcdonald's to come too, but these last couple months it have gone down hill fast because of the customer service. The last two times i have came it takes multiple minutes to even get acknowledgment on the speaker and they seem like it's an inconvenience that staff have to work. When i pull up to the window no greetings or anything jut mean mugs or constantly on phones ignoring costumers. I wanted to give it one last try today and the same thing happened and it took 15 minutes to get two food items with one other car behind me in the drive thru. This restaurant really needs to work on these problems or i could definitely see a decline in costumers. i would not recommend.

Whenever I go to this location it is just a nightmare the employees are rude and disrespectful there are little children everywhere came here on a road trip and when I was inside my whole order was stolen by a little kid all my food gone well they remade it but they accused me of lying even though they watched it happen the bathrooms are disgusting got food poisoning the food looked like someone smashed it the whole experience was disgusting .

This location is one of the busiest in my area. But I will say the staff must be properly trained. They move people and cars in and out quickly. I don't believe they have ever forgotten anything in my order.

This is a review for the pretty McDonalds in Parma. I swung by after work for my addiction, a soft serve ice cream cone. The location was moderately busy and there was some issues with them understanding my app coupons, but I got what I wanted in the end. The teenager who made my cone wasn't too skilled or generous with the soft serve, but hey, at least the machine was working!! Haha!

Trying to catch up on reviews from vacation. Was here in early June and stopped for breakfast before heading off to the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. Typical McDonald's except it has an upstairs! Unfortunately, it was blocked off and we couldn't go check out the second floor. We used the kiosk so the only interaction we had was when they brought our food out and that employee was friendly.

Bunch untrained idiots second time in a row got the order wrong plus over charged me on deal suppose get double cheeseburger free and charged me for both I even got credit on rewards program I blame management for not training people properly

The worst McDonald's I have ever been to. Dirty and the floors were wet. Hamburger looked like someone drove over it with their car

Stopped in for a quick breakfast - ordered a Sausage, Egg, and Cheese biscuit cheese, plus a bottle of water. I pulled the innards out and discarded the biscuit as I am trying to keep everything low carb. Breakfast sandwich came up fast, hot, and tasty! This McDonald's location is huge! Two stories - with tons of seating! The place was very clean. #McDonalds

These guys started taking our order and then shut the screen off 10 minutes before closing time. They then proceeded to ignore us while we waited at the menu

I use this place a lot for reference. I call it "the fancy McDonald's", like when I'm giving directions in Independence I say, "make a right when you see fancy McDonald's". It's face front is not like the same modern template that other McDonalds' do, it has a colonial architecture to it, which goes with the rest of the city of Independence's motif (library, public service buildings etc). This place is two story and sorry kids there's no playground at this one. McDonald's is probably my favorite fast food and for this particular establishment, I would say this place is a bit above par with respect to food quality against other McDonald's in my area. My guess is maybe they take their time to put the food together or something? I don't know for sure but I always feel like this place is well kept. Even the staff are friendly, attentive and acknowledge my presence even if they are busy doing something else. One of my guilty pleasures is eating McDonald's after a night of drinking but unfortunately this one closes at 11pm.

Their staff are extremely unprofessional. Their hours were not advertised on their app and it allowed me to order a sundae at 10:00PM. Turns out they close at 11 and clean the ice cream machine an hour before they close. When I arrived the worker was extremely rude and asked what else I want "since [I] thought I would order ice cream right before closing". I proceeded to hear the girl yell and gossip about me to coworkers while sitting at the drive thru window. I wrote a survey response but never hear back from their management. I guess their management condones their staff talking illy about their patrons. I was afraid to eat my food thinking it could have been spit in.

Absolutely terrible service, food was not fresh, rude manager. Do everyone a favor and go out of business and let something decent take over the location.

Absolutely no service. They looked at you when you were at the front ready to order kiosk that broke one customer left already they rather be talking on the phone talking to each other.

Got a triple cheeseburger - big mac for my brother - 2 mcChickens and 2 quarter pounders with cheese - food for the family all day - was full from lunch until dinner - the burgers were made alright and the quarter pounder was a bit salty -

McDonald's at independence today I went there and when I was waiting for the car in front of me to finish up their order they drive thru at the next drive thru was a lady yellow at the top of her lungs at the worker while giving her order yelling yelling yelling she should be ashame of herself she had a white versa next window to pay she is in front of me pay window yelling and being very rude grabbing her card back grabbing her receipt and still yelling at worker I said call the manager shut your window and protect yourselfs you wonder why no one wants to work this lady needs anger management and I hope she doesn't work in public she should be a shame how she was acting then at pickup window she grabs the bag from worker and still yelling she pulls away now I am at pick up window she turns around in front of me got out of her car I told the young girl close this window and call for a manger keep your self safe oh no she going in your doors She left her small yorkie in the car and went inside good luck people call the cops keep yourselves safe no one should have to put up with customers like this crazy lady this was today may 4 around 2ish I feel sorry for our children who work with crazies like this not safe for them and they don't make much to put up with this stay safe and thank you for always you GREAT SERVICE

Very disappointed in the quality of food this evening... Easter Sunday at 8pm ish... decided to grab something to eat on way home from family lunch at 3ish.... Paid 14 bucks for two cold chicken sandwiches and old cold fries. Does anyone take any pride in their work anymore... would the employees who work there actually eat what they serve?? So disappointed!!

I mean it's McDonald's right it's hard to review McDonald's they're all about the same except this one the people are super friendly in the food is always really fresh today however almost all the tables were dirty I don't know if I came in just after a rush but didn't feel like I just came in after a rush everybody at the counter for chill everything seem to be running smoothly it didn't seem like they were still dashing around because a huge crowd was still there. The dining room is pretty much a mess

Very disappointed with this location and their corporate customer service. The mobile app wasn't working properly so I was charged full price for my "free" fries. When I contacted their corporate customer service, I was asked on several different emails to give them way too many details - practically everything but my shoe size. If my grandkids didn't like McDonald's so much, I'd switch to Chick Fil-A in a heartbeat...they seem to care about their customers!

this location is absolutely horrible. the workers don't even know what's happening half the time, and just stand there either dancing or looking bored, and every time I eat at this location, the food is always cold. no matter what it is, always cold. due to their excruciatingly awful service and disgusting food quality, I will not being ordering from here again.

I came here feeling a little nostalgic because this was known as the "fancy McDonald's" when I was little. I was just going to get fries but I was thinking of what my mom used to order -quarter pounder w/cheese was her favorite. I decided to order that instead. Service was quick, friendly and my order was accurate. Everyone wore masks at the drive thru. The cashier wore a mask and gloves -great job! My burger was hot and fresh but when I opened the box my hand was coated in grease. I thought maybe it was just a little. I pulled over and there's a little puddle of grease in the box. The bottom bun is soaked in grease. I understand that beef has fat but this is excessive. I don't feel comfortable eating it . I don't usually eat beef and I was going to eat this until I saw all of the grease -it was a red flag for me . I believe McDonald's can do better. Juicy and tender and flavorful is not the same as greasy. I know it's fast-food but still.

Just stop by and see this McDonald's! It is a fancy type place that you most likely have not seen before from a McDonald's. Yes, its appearance is totally out of the blue and it is really nice. Even if you don't eat here, you will agree that this is one nice building.

Their soda machine was down, so the cashier didn't offer any value meal pricing, and didn't apply a simple up charge. Instead she charged me almost $11 for a 6 pc tenders, med fries, and a small McFlurry. Then when I ordered a Big Mac meal, I asked for a large sweet tea, and again she charged for the individual items bringing the total for 2 meals to almost $20. I frequent McD's more than most and I was amazed how non-chalant this cashier was about ripping me off. It's not my problem their soda machine is down, but apparently overcharging me just might get her closer to getting paid $15/hr! If I went down the Street to a sit down restaurant, I could've had a steak for what I paid! Not barely above room temperature fast food!

We ordered a happy meal and extra fries. We did not get apples with the happy meal ANNNNDDD no BBQ sauce that we requested. Also didn't get the extra fries. Employees are not friendly whatsoever.

The food tastes great. Perfect for fast food. Alot of the time they make it fresh and hot. The fries are delicious. The staff is unprofessional but thumbs up for the food!

Really? Have you ever heard the phrase "polishing a turd?" McDonalds is what it is, mass produced terrible food. Having a fancy building (because of local code) doesn't mean it's anything more than that. I'm thinking (hoping) these other reviewers were on some sort of drugs. I seriously question the validity of yelp when I see that McDonalds has a higher average rating than the Winking Lizard which is within walking distance. YUCK!

Who ever knew there was such a thing as a glamorous McDonald's? At first I thought this place was a jewelry store or something before I noticed the Golden Arches. Make no mistake, the sausage mcmuffin's don't come with chunks of gold in them (they're delicious as normal though). But what this place does have is chandeliers, ornate book cases and other nearly victorian-esque decorations just make you marvel and wonder why a McDonald's looks so much nicer than your own place.

Probably the most impressive McDonald's I have ever visited. The nice thing about going here is that you know what you are getting, and pretty much what it will taste like, but not what it will feel like to eat a 99 cent snack wrap from such a regal establishment. And for that it deserves 4 stars.

I have never seen such an extravagant McDonalds! I would normally not take the time out to yelp McDonalds, but just due to the appearance of the McDonalds, I had to step in and check it out. They went all out with the decor including chandeliers, mirrors, etc! This McDonalds is definitely worth coming back to just to have a bit of fast food in a semi "fine-dining" atmosphere!

I don't care if this place is pretty from the outside; the employees here are ugly on the inside! So rude when you come through the drive-thru, it's ridiculous. Clearly you're not paying them to smile. At least say, "hello" or "have a nice day" --- Geeeeez.

Great atmosphere....excellent service...delicious food. I am an addict for over forty years. McDonalds help put me through college as a part time job.

The best Mcdonalds I've tasted in Cleveland. We've been through twice, and the fries are perfectly seasoned with fresh oil both times (once 9pm and once during lunch rush) also the building architecture is really unique for a McD's! Nice colonial style columns and interesting details like old-style horse hitching posts in the drive through.

Horrible, I ordered a large fry and and only half the box was filled. I also ordered nuggets with sweet n sour sauce and didn't even get the sauce. This is unacceptable!

Difficult ingress and egress from the busy road. Very attractive, high-end look for a McDonalds. Employees were not friendly. Food was adequate.

The parking lot was a little hard to access from the main street, however once we did make our way in there was plenty of parking. Both the interior and exterior of the business are beautiful and unique, however the food is of the same quality of all other McDonald's restaurants around the world. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and we did enjoy having our meals delivered straight to our tables.

This used to be a decent McDonald's until lately. My order is wrong more often than not and the staff is rude and can barely utter an intelligible word. Management must not care what or who they are employing at this location. It's despicable.

They charge to add mayo, to a sandwich, and do not give napkins. This place just lost my business.

Sat for twenty minutes in reserved spot, waiting for my food to come out to me. Finally went in to get it myself, manager said it probably went to another car. They didn't even catch the mistake. Gave me my money back and said have a nice day....smh

It has chandeliers all right but the management failed to upkeep tidiness in this place. The second floor has left over food all over tables and floors during a Sunday lunch visit.

This is known by the locals as the "Fancy McD's" Like the other reviews I was left to wonder why a McDs was stuck in a nice building. Food is still the same, atmosphere is why it gets the high ratings. Worth the trip to get a McNugget.

I rarely eat McDonald's but the workers here were so pleasant to me. They helped me with my tray because I had my arms and hands full. That alone is worth the four stars as for food quality it's McDonald's so it is what it is!!

We stopped and ate here on a continental tour we did 2013-4. While we haven't been seen in a MD's for the past 20-30 years, we broke our long standing record just to check out the atmosphere. The food was just as good/bad as I remembered (we had breakfast), but the staff there were very cordial, the place was extremely clean and the setting was damned classy for a fast-food chain. We found out later that way back when MDs was attempting to get established in this area it was a higher class neighborhood and the locals rallied against having a commoner's hamburger joint lowering their snooty standards. MDs finally prevailed when they proposed building an outlet that would "fit in", and so it did. Over the years since then the surrounding area has withered somewhat, as many neighborhoods around the country have, but here the McDonald's shiny chandeliers and buffed banisters still stand out and wow many a visitor.

I come here daily for breakfast. You will not find a classier Mc Donald's. Wonderful decor and two floors. Staff is friendly. Big turn around tho. Huge parking area, drive thru can resemble a traffic jam during lunch hour. Overall a pretty cool place! Food, basic Mc Donald's nothing special...

Horrible poor entrance way horrible service. Salty fries no taste. Maybe they should be reported to the health department.
