McDonald’s Quarter Pounders Sicken Dozens in E. coli Outbreak | Eater

"Facing a CDC investigation tying an E. coli outbreak to its Quarter Pounders, the company has been linked to 75 cases across 13 states (including one death and 22 hospitalizations), with most cases in Colorado and Nebraska; a Colorado customer has filed a lawsuit alleging product liability, negligence, and breach of implied warranties. Officials have focused on the fresh slivered onions used on the Quarter Pounder—sourced from a single supplier—after the Colorado-based Taylor Farms recalled yellow onions; major distributors Sysco and US Foods warned customers to stop using Taylor Farms (also sold as Cross Valley Farms) onions, and several other national chains pulled onions from menus. The chain briefly stopped selling the Quarter Pounder in affected states but resumed sales after its patties tested negative for E. coli. The episode follows prior foodborne incidents tied to the company (2008 tomatoes/salmonella, 2018 cyclospora from salads, 2022 E. coli in chicken nuggets) and has dented its stock, though long-term effects remain uncertain." - Bettina Makalintal

I feel like my opinion might not make much of a difference here, but hopefully this makes other people consider going to a different location until the issue is addressed. I've been a frequent loyal customer of this location for a while now and I've just about had it with the lousy customer service provided by one of the staff members there. Every time I walk in there and order from the man with taller man with the pony tail, he just gives me a death stare. He's never polite; Not even a "welcome" or a "thank you." Just a stink face and a bad attitude. One time I picked up my food at the counter from him and he just shoved the bags at me. Just last week I ordered from the drive thru and he Just stared at me like he had a problem with me or something. Couldn't even say a word to me. Not even a "thank you" or a "drive to the next windows please." Just made me feel very uncomfortable. On top of that, he got my order wrong and as clearly as I stated what I wanted, I feel like he intentionally ignored my request. He looks miserable doing his job. I know plenty of other more deserving people who would appreciate just having the job. With that said, I don't feel comfortable coming back here. I feel unwelcome and will be taking my business else where moving forward. With that said, I do want to give credit where credit is due. There is an older gentleman there, I don't remember his name, maybe Steve or Steven, I apologize if I got the name wrong, but he is a superstar employee and his customer service skills are impeccable. Every customer service employee should learn from this man. He is a role model. If it wasn't for the pony hair guy, I would definitely give this location 5 stars, but unfortunately all it takes is one bad apple to ruin it.

Fries were bomb, I would probably come here if the fries were going to be good like this consistently. They labeled our burgers backwards but that was a minor issue, human mistake. Our soda wasnt filled to the top as much as I would have wanted. Food was good though.

I just left this McDonald's and the service was terrible. They made us wait and in the end my fries were cold. I complained to the manager and he didn't pay attention, he just said the fries had just come out. He ignored us as customers and didn't solve the problem. As a customer, I felt ignored and mocked since he just laughed and said okay and left.

Lots of free parking, big dining place and quick service. The app is certainly helpful in ordering advance.

Just went right now it says that it’s a 24 hour location and saw employees cars parked but as I pulled up to the intercom, no one responded. I continue to wait. I’ve been to this location numerous times, but this is the first time this has happened to me.

I love coming to this place because they make the fries really well. Today, I was craving McDonald's, but unfortunately, they messed up my order. I didn't get the kids' burger, and the one I received was so messy that it was hard to eat.

Thanks for wasting my time. Used the mobile app for a code and they couldn’t/wouldn’t take it. Never happens. No workarounds, nothing. Thanks for wasting my time.

Fast fast fast service!! Well at least the times I've gone. How am I suspected to know what's on the menu. Who burned that screen. Update, the screen didn't get repaired, but at least they added a nice cardboard display.
