McDonald’s Calls Ex-CEO’s Attempt to Dismiss Lawsuit ‘Morally Bankrupt’ | Eater

"The company is embroiled in an escalating legal battle with its former CEO, Steve Easterbrook, who was fired last fall for inappropriate relationships with employees. After an anonymous tip revealed he had engaged in physical sexual relationships with multiple employees, the company sued on August 10 seeking to claw back a severance package estimated in the tens of millions. Easterbrook filed to dismiss the suit on August 14, arguing the company should have already known about the conduct, but the company’s recent filing accuses him of lying during its investigation and condemns his defense as “morally bankrupt” and legally unfounded. The dispute has prompted further internal scrutiny, including an investigation into the former head of human resources—recruited into that role by Easterbrook—and notes that David Fairhurst, the global chief people officer, was fired last November after allegations that he made women at the company feel uncomfortable." - Jenny G. Food Workers Join the Strike for Black Lives | Eater

"Across multiple cities, workers targeted a major fast-food chain as a focal point of the strike, accusing the company of failing Black and brown employees through low pay, lack of benefits, inadequate PPE, and fostering racially hostile workplaces that have prompted lawsuits. Employees pointed to instances of having to sue for legally mandated sick days and to the company’s lobbying against paid sick leave, criticized corporate statements of support for Black Lives Matter as performative, and called for concrete changes including living wages, universal healthcare and paid sick leave, childcare, adequate PPE, and a stronger voice for workers on workplace safety." - Jaya Saxena

McDonald’s and Starbucks Tweet About Social Justice, But Fail Employees | Eater

"The fast-food giant issued a message naming Black victims of police violence and pledged donations to the National Urban League and the NAACP, but the missive was met with sharp criticism from civil-rights groups and workers’ advocates—one asked whether Black lives matter when they work in the restaurants, while a prominent worker movement declared the company ‘not one of us.’ Critics pointed to the chain’s history of relying on cheap labor and resisting unionization, arguing that social-media solidarity and one-off donations ring hollow against a corporate model that prioritizes profit over worker safety, fair pay, and addressing systemic injustices." - Jenny G. The Future of McDonald’s Is Very Clean and Socially Distant | Eater

"A recent 59-page operations guide sent to franchise owners lays out extensive dining-room protocols to limit viral spread: disinfect high-touch surfaces every 30 minutes, create marked lanes and signage so customers don’t accidentally touch each other, close public soda fountains, clean digital kiosks after each order, and mark certain tables “closed” to enforce distancing. While intended to balance hospitality with safety, these meticulous measures can make dining feel constrained and less pleasant, suggesting that a truly normal night out remains some way off and that drive‑thru service may be a more comfortable option for now." - Jaya Saxena

Let's be honest, does McDonald's really need an introduction? It's the OG fast-food chain, the king of burgers, fries, and those oh-so-tempting shakes. You pretty much know what you're getting - the classic McDonald's experience! However, the McDonald’s located at 1173 W Casmalia St in Rialto, CA, appears to have some operational challenges to address. Although it is locally owned and operated - which is commendable in principle - my experiences there, primarily via the drive-thru, suggested that the staff may be somewhat understaffed or overextended. I ventured inside once to use the kiosk, and the experience wasn't the best. It felt like the drive-thru was the priority, leaving those of us inside waiting a while for our orders. And, I have to be honest, the interior wasn't exactly sparkling. It reminded me of an unsupervised high school cafeteria, with a noticeable amount of trash and food debris around. The food itself? Well, it's McDonald's. It tasted like, well, McDonald's. No surprises there. The prices are definitely budget-friendly, which is always a plus. Overall, the service was just okay. If you're craving a quick and cheap McDonald's fix and don't mind using the drive-thru, this location will do the trick. But, if you're planning on dining inside, be prepared for a less-than-stellar ambiance. Hopefully, they'll address the cleanliness and improve the in-store service soon!

Let’s face it, McDonald's is a household name, and for good reason! It’s the go-to spot for burgers, fries, and those irresistible shakes that can brighten any day. However, my recent visit to the McDonald's on West Casmalia St in Rialto left me with mixed feelings. First off, I appreciate that this location is locally owned and operated. Supporting local businesses is important, and I always root for them to succeed. Unfortunately, it seems like this particular branch is facing some operational hurdles. My experiences, especially through the drive-thru, hinted at a team that might be a bit stretched thin. I decided to venture inside once, thinking it would be a nice change of pace. However, I quickly realized that the drive-thru seemed to take precedence over in-store customers. I found myself waiting longer than expected, which was a bit frustrating. The ambiance inside didn’t help either; it felt more like a high school cafeteria than the clean, inviting space I associate with McDonald's. There was a noticeable amount of trash and food debris that could definitely use some attention. As for the food, well, it’s McDonald's! You know what you’re getting - classic flavors that hit the spot when you’re in the mood for a quick bite. The prices are definitely wallet-friendly, which is always a plus in today’s economy. In summary, if you’re in the area and just need a quick McDonald's fix, the drive-thru will serve you well. But if you’re hoping for a pleasant dining experience inside, you might want to consider your options or be prepared for a less-than-ideal atmosphere. Here’s hoping they can improve the cleanliness and service soon, as I’d love to see this location shine!

The picture doesn’t do it justice but my breakfast was super smashed and hash brown soggy and the bread was hard and this is me trying to eat it 45 seconds out of the drive-through

They sometimes get my orders wrong and I have to wait additional time to get my food. Sometimes on drive through lane is faster than the other and you spend time waiting watching cars put in their orders and leave. The food is good for having to eat in a hurry but sometimes it way to salty and the burgers look like they were thrown together in a hurry and not very appealing.

Since I can remember, I have been coming to this establishment. I have been to many McDonald’s throughout my years and as I stated before fast food is not the healthiest choice to eat you have to eat in moderation, but with that said it tastes so good. I had the opportunity to meet two young employees, Amy and Jonathan I hope have their names right if not, they can correct me. these two employees who served me were friendly courteous and hard workers. I am glad they are receiving $20 an hour in my opinion all fast food workers are underpaid and underappreciated. I ordered from my McDonald’s app a Dr. Pepper I also ordered a quarter pounder with cheese and got one free from my rewards. This was under $10.00. I like saving money. My order did not take long this McDonald’s is conveniently located right off the freeway there is plenty of tables to sit down and enjoy your meal.

The food didnt taste fresh. Mainly the fries. But that's always a hit or miss.

Google
Asked for no salt on French fries. They gave to me in bag to indicate their understanding of no salt fries, however, when I started eating, the fries had usual salt on them. Had to waste. I ate 3 fries before I realized.

Yelp
Can you spot the difference. Never really had issues coming here but today.. I ordered through my app because no one was at the register. I had issues at the kiosk. The app wasn't giving me the QR code to scan there and for some reason I couldn't login. So I ordered table service on my app... yet the there was a guy calling out my order. Once I got up to get it, he was bringing it to us instead.

Yelp
I don't think any kind of introduction is required for McDonald's. It's a classic, long-running fast-food chain known for its burgers, fries, and shakes. This place is just like other McDonald's places and looks like an unsupervised high school cafeteria. This McDonald's place is locally owned and operated. We came to this place a couple of times. Most of the time we ordered food through the drive-thru. We got inside once to order food using their kiosk and that experience wasn't pleasant (everyone was super busy serving the drive-thru customers and we had to wait for a long time to get food). The inside of this place was dirty with trash and food. Their food was average, like other McDonald's places. The price was affordable. Their overall service was okay.

Yelp
I always come to this mcdonald's and never have a problem everybody is always so nice but today was different. people really need to train their employees to have better attitudes and i hope the girl with a bad attitude sees this because wow. we had two pickup orders and the first window lady sent us to the second window and we assumed both our orders would be there. we wait and one girl comes up and she hands off the food to my boyfriend. my boyfriend starts asking about are second order and she closes the window on him before he could finish. she comes back and we explain how we are waiting for our second order and she says "you were supposed to ask at the first window" which i was unaware which we say. she continues to have the worst attitude towards us and we show her our receipt and i say "it was under alyssa" and verbatim she says "yea i dont know everyone who comes in heres name" and she just repeats how we were supposed to ask at the first window?? this whole time she has a horrible attitude and so i get annoyed and i say we don't work at McDonald's so how are we supposed to know that? and she gets all mad and tells me to not have a bad attitude and says "i will have someone else bring you your order". we finally get our order. you guys really need to train your workers to be nicer because we never had an attitude with her in the beginning, i started getting an attitude when she started acting like a brat. i get work sucks, i work too but i would never treat a customer who wasn't originally being rude like this. it was completely unwarranted and my boyfriend and i both were annoyed after, she could've nicely let us know next time to ask at the first window, checked our receipt then brought it over. i don't know why she was being difficult and disrespectful. (I came in around 11:30 am, April 3rd)

Yelp
I usually prefer this McDonald's but today the guy who took my order seemed so unfriendly. Like he was in a bad mood. I paid for my food, and if he wasn't then why needs to pay more attention I asked for a sprite with my kids meal they gave me an orange hi c. Then they gave me the meal I looked in the bag and the girl asked if I had another order I said no but my McDouble isn't in the bag. She asked for the receipt, well he didn't add it to my order when I gave him my order. They were just all around rude and the manager rolled her eyes, because I said I wanted to order my McDouble I said never mind.

Yelp
This McDonald sucks I always come at night when google says its still open but no one answers please fix your time. Also you guys forget a lot of stuff have someone check your orders out before you give them out please. They said they close at 2am but I went through the drive through no one is there. They take too long to give out orders.

Yelp
The iced mocha latte was awesome! Love the coffee here and the sausage egg and cheese mcbiscuits. I do think the fries are a little overrated. I would recommend this place to everyone!

Yelp
I went for filet of fish Friday and I haven't had one in years, but I don't remember them being so small. It's a shame because they're so good just wish it was more.
google avatar

Janiece W.

Yelp
They close at 12am, not sure why it says 2am online. I arrived at drive thru around 11:55pm. They completely ignored me at the speaker. I stopped at every window and only saw a guy walking away. Everyone else was hiding. This is not the first time this has happened. So unprofessional, fix the hours online. There were 4 other cars waiting with me. At least tell us you're closed instead of acting like you don't hear us.

Yelp
So gross!!! The sad part they were all back there just talking and worker that was leaving called out for them to clean it. And I was agreeing out loud. But not one person came out to clean it up!!! Just makes me think how dirty it is

Yelp
This rating is for the service + the best (no salt) fries at any McDonald's! Thomas and "D" helped us tonight and they were very accommodating, respectful and helpful, made our experience that much better! They have the best fries - order them with no salt and they're hot and crispy. Thank you, Thomas & D!

Yelp
So this is my fourth time going to this McDonald's. Every single time I go I get one sauce when I should've had three sometimes even more. The service is extremely rude. And the food is usually cold almost every single time I go. When I asked for sauce this last time they told me I had to pay for it even though I paid for it through the app which was $.25 each sauce I even showed them the receipt and they said we cannot give you extra sauce. Even though it showed three sauces and I got one. So yeah if you want warm food and you want the right amount of sauce would not recommend going to this McDonald's morning shift and night shift is extremely rude.

Yelp
No I do not words don't need to be said about this establishment it's literally the worse and completely awful and they mess up bunch of orders and give the wrong beverages and fountain drinks especially the hot coffees when people ask for fresh coffee they have the rudeness attitudes

Jaime N.

Yelp
This place never has ice cream. Who manages this location this is pathetic. Stop being lazy. We all know you just don't want to clean the ice cream machine. But yall want $20 hr.

Elias F.

Yelp
It's 11 pm and the drive thru is open and there is people inside just staring at me no offering and explanation as to why it's closed and they say it's open till 2 am please believe I'm call corporate in the morning

Jessica C.

Yelp
McDonald's is usually a quick bite to eat. If you are lucky you get decent food. However, today was exceptional. Staff like Tyler make it an extremely welcoming place to grab a bite. The team that was working today has great manners. The food was hot, fresh, not to salty. Perfect! Fast service with no corners cut. No issues, made me want to come back. Thank you!

Ezekiel U.

Yelp
This place sucks I just left work early and wanted some McDonald's so I came here. The lady on the drive-thr asked if I had a code I give it to her just for another girl to answer saying we are closed why ask if you're closed. Bad service

Luis V.

Yelp
The manager here is extremely rude. When i asked for a refund because they got my order wrong the manager only refunded me 12$ when my total was 26$.

Adam L.

Yelp
Gotta get ice cream for breakfast or something because the machine is being "cleaned" throughout the day

Top C.

Yelp
There is a young lady who refused to identify herself I believe her name was Justina, Josephina, I can't remember but it started with a j I saw her pick her nose and rub the booger on her shirt I confronted her about it and she act like she did not hear what I was saying I immediately threw my food in the trash he is a short Hispanic woman with a blue shirt and black pants

Jeffrey R.

Yelp
Hands down this is the worst McDonald's I have ever seen. Not only the worst McDonald's but worst restaurant I have ever seen. The tables were dirty, two employees walked by me and I was waiting 5 mins and then left. I recommend not going there.

Kelly R.

Yelp
Lobby is always closed at 9pm when business hours sign on door says 10pm. Drive thru service is horrible.
