What you'd expect from an urban takeout only McDonald's. Fortunately, it's in a location near the Convention Center (less than 10 minute walk one way). However, it's near Westlake Mall and a not so great neighborhood, limiting the staff's ability to have sitdown service. I never felt unsafe since I was there for breakfast but if it was near closing time, I'd be cautious of the surroundings. So that's the only negative I have of this location. Food -- excellent. Fresh. Excellent preparation (for fast food)... not messy, clean presentation, not greasy. I ordered burritos and hash brown -- crispy, not oily... one of the best I've eaten at a McDonald's. Coffee -- not burned, hot... what I expect for Seattle served coffee. Service -- the customer service rep was friendly and attentive. Order was correct. Overall -- if you're on the go in the daytime, feel free to order here. Inexpensive relative to everything in downtown Seattle. Food is great but you have to take it somewhere else to eat.

I witnessed a very suspicious interaction outside this McDonald’s, an employee accepted a bag full of groceries and hygiene items from a stranger who appeared intoxicated. It didn’t look like a normal delivery or customer exchange. Management should look into this.

This was the rudest McDonald's I have ever been to. My order one item and took them 10 minutes. The whole time two workers kept staring at me asking me what my order was over and over again. I was the only person in line. And after I told them what my order was over and over, they just sat there looking at me with suspicion as an AA. I usually wouldn't right a review but it really stood out to me that I was singled out.

Had a (Lil McDonald's) Happy Meal for pick-up and despite their app saying it was available it actually wasn't, so they just dumped a toy from...TWO years ago in a box from an unrelated movie in 2025. Either way I wanted neither. Not just a 1 star for that though, I've been going here since I was a child and fifteen years later I still don't have a single decent memory of this place.

Most of the time the food is good but extremely rude and unprofessional management. I understand they deal with riffraff all day but that shouldn't make them treat everyone like crap! Terrible employees! If they screw up your order they don't accept responsibility! 😠

Atmosphere I gave a one because there is no Lobby in front counter customer is access is from outside also if you're a delivery driver it's a separate window but access is also still from outside. Staff can get Overwhelmed by the downtown chaotic feral population... Yet food quality is always awesome

The location is suitable for what it is. It's in the heart of Westlake center where unfortunately the scenery of vagrants is all too real. You have to get right in the mix of the hubub just to order. The asthetics outside accompanied with the crumpled atmosphere, along with the mediocre service makes for a not so pleasant experience. Take out is definitely the way to go.

Didn't not give me my 2nd fries that I paid for, glad I paid for nothing. The store is literally boarded and plywood block the entrance, so you cant even enter. Gotta stand out in the wind or Rain while you wait.

Meh the food was ok definitely had to wait in line. Some of the employees were questionable. Some of them were nice, but he had to stand there and wait and watch the whole time so that way you could make sure no one sneaks up and tries to steal your food and there was no indoor eating it was just outdoor dash to gooverall three out of five experience would maybe come back if I have to, but most likely will not.

The food is typical McDonalds, so let's just get that out of the way. The prices are relative to the touristy downtown area it is located in. I understand all of this. We had surprisingly limited options for food at 8:30 pm on a Monday night and saw Mickey D's was open and figured why not? Quick and cheap sustenance. I have no idea when they close the dining area, but it was a walk up, order, and pay from the sidewalk operation when I was here. There was a very, erm, interesting bunch of characters out at this time. Several were clearly homeless and carried a particular odor about them. I wouldn't say I felt unsafe, but it certainly wasn't comfortable. I was hungry so I made it happen, but I would not prefer that again. lol 2 stars.

Horrible. Everything about this system is horrible. Thee worst McDonald's in all the states. Asked to take an order and the lady shut the door on my face. Stay away from this place

Do not go here. They don't operate by their posted hours and when they do operate they are short staffed so you are forced to wait in line for 10 minutes behind 2 cars. They then make you pull to a parking space so they can run your food out to you another 10 minutes later after they start cooking it. Completely ruining the point of a drive through and creating a horrible customer experience. It's no wonder McDonald's stock is down so much. Do not go here for breakfast. They change the time breakfast ends everyday and even if they have breakfast they are usually out of whatever it is that you want.

If you're looking for a dangerous exhilarating experience, this is the McDonald's for you!!

Food is great. Service could be better. Ambiance has been lacking over the years possibly due to Covid.

This place is usually busy but also messy more than other mcdys I've been to. Staff is nice friendly but need to clean up

No customer service. No free refills. Not cheap. Eye rolls when you ask for napkins. I'm officially not eating at McDonald's anymore.

Boy was I ever shocked when I decided to get a little breakfast at McDonald's... arriving to what looked like a Mad Max style world where you walk up to order and the cashier is protected by glass. Less surprising that while I waited for my hashbrowns I got to witness exactly why the cashier had to be placed behind safety glass. While I waited for my food I was approached by folks demanding money and attention. Some even angry at me for not giving them "spare" money. Never had fast food felt so slow as when I was waiting there in the cold being harassed for existing, and realizing with dawning horror my poor judgement in indulging my hash brown cravings at this location... The staff are obviously harassed around the clock. They will suffer no fools. While lacking the bright sunny disposition of a cashier who doesn't have to be safely encased in glass, I found my cashier to be reasonably friendly and she was definitely efficient. It felt like I'd been thrown a life raft and saved from drowning in a choppy sea when she took my order and placed it in the encased box where I could then grab it and walk back to my hotel. Clutching my order I rushed to go devour the contents and was pleased to find that my order was cooked perfectly and was 100% correct.

Can someone explain why every business has opened their indoor area but this restaurant has not? The walk up only window attracts non customers asking for money or food. The fact that they keep boarding their windows more and more means the already not-attentive staff can't even look at you while they ignore you anymore. The still brand new renovated interior is amazing but only employees get to sit in it while they ignore you.

Service isn't the best as it was before. Definitely slacking on the ambiance it's declined over the pass few years. The food is still good thank god! Lol

They defaulted Uber eats settings to put everything to "no". Which meant no bun, no meat, no cheese, nothing. They're a scam and this whole location is absolute dogshit. They had the audacity to send me a container full of mayonnaise like anybody in their right mind would order something like that.

This is the worst place in the city. The staff couldn't care less when or if you get your order. The inside is still not opened and it took 20 minutes to get 2 biscuits. Since they aren't opened inside, it creates a large group of chaos trying to order and to get your food. If you go to this location, you have been warned. They prioritize delivery orders before customers waiting. They are the slowest fast food place around.

If you enjoy standing fifteen minutes on a street corner while people blow weed smoke in your face, come here. They'll then give you cold food that isn't what you paid for. It's amazing. Of course, if you don't enjoy this, go somewhere else.

This is the WORST fast food place EVER!!! The double cheese burger had mold and I found a nose ring in it. There was also rats falling from the ceiling. Veronica was yelling at me because I wanted a refund. I also saw roaches in the bathroom, but good thing that it wasn't the flying kind. It's not McDonalds it's more like McDeezNutz.

Yikes, don't go here. That location is no place to have to do walk up only. We were visiting for the first time so didn't know any better, wish I would've read the other reviews first. We just wanted a Diet Coke lol. The staff was really nice and helpful but... this really isn't the place to have to stand outside waiting for your food. Unless you're fine with getting asked for money and watching someone shoot up on your way up the street after getting your food. The fries were good though!

food - fine, typical McDonald's service - horrible. napkin and straw not provided with in-lobby order. None available to customers. Asking for straw and napkin, the attendant provides only napkins with an attitude, then disappears instantly. Try to take a straw from the empty front desk and receive a barrage of "no" "you can't do that" "that's not cool" responses from all the workers who NOW notice you. Thankfully, I was asked to leave the lobby.

I haven't ordered anything at this McDonalds in years because it was always busy. Today, there was nobody in line so I decided to get something. There was no one at the cash register. When I asked an employee which window I should order from, he ignored me and walked away. And yet I see 4 employees taking a break in the dining room. Not one of them can help me. Finally, someone takes my order. There was no energy in him. He was grumpy and didn't want to be there working. How do they stay in business like this? I know the Seattle protests destroyed their windows but its been more than a year. They still have them boarded up. No one can sit in the dining room and everything is to go. This McDonalds has been here since I was in elementary school. Much different atmosphere then. Even the McDonalds in Tukwila is operated better than this branch. Wow.

Walk by there this morning couldn't believe that it was all boarded up what happened why are you just getting takeout orders from the door it wouldn't breaking surprise me with Seattle noticed a lot of stores boarded up today while I was there for the Gay Pride Parade really sad that Seattle's letting itself go

Would recommend for fast service. Don't be deterred by the people hanging around the corner! If you can navigate the city, you can navigate this. Order on the app for a mobile order as a curbside pickup, tho they don't bring it out to curbside, they hand it out to you at the counter when you show your order#. You can also order right at the counter if you prefer. Food has been accurate and quick the last 3 times I ate there, tho you don't see the kitchen from the front counter at all. It's extremely convenient to order on your phone, step off the bus or Light Rail, get your McD's, then hop on a rental bike to cruise downhill to a game at the stadium. Save yourself some time and money while you're doing stuff in downtown Seattle. Ambiance is rough and busy, but police patrol quite nearby, so you are safe assuming you keep your valuables hidden and are aware of your surroundings, as in any city.

What a joke. The restaurant has you order outside at a window. The dining room is closed. Where and the hell are you supposed to eat your food, outside with the homeless. Just close it all together! Pathetic.

Don't go here if you expect a place to sit and/or not to get harassed or robbed waiting for your food.

I waited 45 minutes for my food I ordered 30 minutes prier to arriving, the guy at the front was just talking to all the girls but supper rude to everyone else, I went to the other window to get my food and the guy told me to go back to the other window and was laughing like I didn't just spend my money at this establishment, staff is super rude food is nasty I do not recommend!!! They should get whole new staff or shut down because every time I go it's always something.

Trash location. AVOID. Ordered on the app and the only option was curbside pickup. Drove over and the one way systems are awful in this area. Then when I arrive there no curbside locations, one side has no area to stop and the other side is buses only. So parked 2 blocks over and walked to pick up (not a big deal but not convenient either). Once I arrived there was a line with some bro arguing about wanting to break a twenty and a homeless lady holding up the line yelling and screaming. After waiting for all that drama to end some douche pushes to the front of the line and the cashier doesn't tell him to get to the back or anything. After he's helped I show I have a pick up and then I'm redirected to the order window down the block...getting annoyed now I walk over to that area. More waiting, more tweakers and more people cutting lines. There is no structure or order from the staff. So after waiting a bit longer an not getting any closer to my food I decided I wasn't willing to wait it out with all the chaos only to get cold burgers a fries and I left without my order. You can't cancel the order via the app, the customer support section is useless, the phone system doesn't work. Was just a huge waste of time and effort for nothing. Just don't waste your time with this location. Staff don't get paid enough to deal with all this and it shows. They should just close it down.

Lousy service and no indoor seating though the dining area has been recently remodeled. Not even worth one star, but since you need to mark at least one star on Yelp!...

HQ must of figured that it was not worth coming back fully.. left it shuddered but still open. Stay cost you $23.13 for a big Mac meal cheese burger meal, even if the overhead is no longer really there

I never really thought I'd be reviewing a McDonald's, but I've been to this one multiple times and I'm already very impressed with the speed of service, quality of the food compared to other McDonald's I've been to, and the cleanliness of the restaurant --especially as it is always so busy. Definitely recommend this McDonald's for your next French fry fix.

This location needs to close ASAP. The workers are mean girls all of them!! Look, I don't blame y'all for the attitudes because I would be the same if I worked at this location. Aka McStabbys. But yall wouldnt like the energy I was receiving if I threw it back at you.

Not family friendly. The staff is surprisingly nice considering the the drooling junkies out front constantly poking their heads in the window for a freebie. Did I mention the drool? Yeah. Not a sight I want my kids to see. They probably had the chicken nuggets. Hopefully my kids don't get high on them too. Anyway, if you're starving, then go there. No sit down. Only a window. By the way, I have it two stars because I went back for more nuggets. I'm a glutton for punishment. Or a really bad dad.

Ordered on uber eats. Ordered 3 cheese burgers and 10 tenders. Recieved 7 tenders that dont even resemble mcdonalds brand crispy tenders. I had to finish cooking them in my home fryer.... My husbands burger was flipped upside down so all the toppings got stuck to the top of the container. Plus the grill receipt was inside the box stuck to the burger. Side note it was all freezing cold so yay microwaved fries! Ugh so disappointing to work a 12 hr shift and have no energy to cook. Only to end up having to cook anyway PLUS spend a bunch of money on inedible food. Thanks!

OMG McDonald's is so good. I love it so much truly highly recommend great cheap prices for good food. You would love some good McDonald's and I highly recommend the fries are so good and crunchy you have a lot of good meals for a good price and it is usually really hot and fresh. If you ask them to make it that way their ice cream machine is usually out 99.9% of the time but when it's not the ice cream is good to a conclusion go get some McDonald's.

Ungodly, hideous experience at a terrible McDonalds - wish I'd read the reviews first. Do **NOT** give this place your business for any reason. They simply don't deserve it. Went in with my two younger sons earlier today to get my youngest a snack for lunch. We used the kiosk and waited at our table for about ten minutes (like many McDonalds now, you grab a "tent" with a number once you place your order at the kiosk and return to your seat to await delivery). I finally went up to the counter and asked the server where my food was and discovered it to be sitting on the counter. I asked why it wasn't being delivered to our table and the individual said, "Sir, we're far too busy. Do it yourself." I indicated that this was a pretty rude way to interact with customers and received additional loud, rude responses as I returned to my table. I went back and took a picture of the server - which clearly really bothered him/her - at which point he/she came over to the table and demanded we leave the restaurant. I said I had no intention of doing that and demanded to speak to a manager, then took another picture of the offensive twerp (apologies, there's no non-pejorative way to say it). A manager did come over, inquired as to what had transpired, and asked me what I'd like to see happen. I said, "Well, maybe fire the individual?" He said that was outside his authority and I said, "Well, at least leave us in peace to eat our food?" Not going back to this hellhole, obviously. Suggest you give it (and the general vicinity) a wide berth if you're in Seattle!

I would give this McDonald's 0 stars if I could. It's the hottest day of the year and they wouldn't give me a cup of water. Honestly ridiculous.

It is odd that I am putting in a review for McDonald but I feel like this place has a bad reputation because of its location which is a shame. 3rd and Pike is a super sketchy street and I usually don't come here unless there's security on the sidewalks. I usually try to avoid this patch BUT sometimes I'm just craving mcdonalds! The service here is great and the food is made quickly without jeopardizing the quality. The McNuggets here are always super fresh and perfectly cooked! The fries are always fresh too when I have ordered them. Great workers here all around.

Every time I've been in here, they've always been helpful and my order is usually right. If it's not I just go up to one of the staff members and they make it right, right on the spot. No arguments, nothing. Turns out, if you're patient and polite about it, they will be too. To be honest, these employees have to deal with a lot being on this location and it can't be an easy job for them at times. As someone who works in the food industry and in community mental health, I have mad props for these folks. Give them a little bit of a break, and if your food isn't what you ordered it won't take but a little patience and politeness to make it right and bam! You're happy again. Some of y'all just like to complain. Remember these employees are human beings, not robots. Thanks for you kindness and patience, staff at McDonalds (particularly this location where it serves many vulnerable people). Your work is appreciated and I hope you hear that more.

Worst experience of my life. I have been to many McDonalds across the country. And this one has by far been the worst. Customer service was horrible. Employees had treated customers like trash. No smiles. No had a good day. Looked at me like I was crazy when they forgot my 3 hash browns and coffee. Lady that gave me my food opened my deluxe breakfast to make sure the hash browns weren't inside. Why? I ordered 3 hash browns on the side. Then she says, can I see you receipt? With attitude. I show here the receipt and she throws it on the makeshift counter(made from what used to be the trash bins). Walks away and come back 5 minutes later with the 3 hash browns. I ask for the coffee again. She says can i see the receipt again. With attitude. And walks away. She comes back with the coffee puts it on the makeshift counter and doesn't say anything. Starts helping another customer. I ask for a drink tray and ketchup. She gives me a tray and 2 f...... packs. I walk away wishing I had never gone there. Stay away.

Closest fast food joint to us so we have visited a few times. Constantly missing items from our orders, order ahead of time only to have to reorder once getting there and having to wait. Closed when they say they are open and open when their app said they are closed.

[All service-based] The food is fine! Not sure it's worth writing a review on, but wow. I think this is one of the first few days after they reopened post-remodel. I ordered via the computerized platform. Did not get a receipt. Might be out of paper, I'm guessing? I walked to the pick up counter to let someone know. There was a female employee right in front, so I said "Excuse me?" nicely twice + at a reasonable volume, but she didn't even hear or see me! I was literally right in front of her too. Also, the manager on duty was on his phone & hanging out by the fryer while she was talking to him. Ridiculous. How is this person a manager when he isn't even working? Give that job to someone with better work ethic! This was on 11/15/2018 at 8:00am. A nice young man helped me out after this ordeal, and I let him know that receipts aren't printing from the computer I used.

It's just a walk up window. There's no where to sit nearby.There's usually a long line of sketchy people. They often get order wrong.

This is one of the dirtiest McDonald's I have ever been in. Granted it was later in the day but still you would expect it to be kept clean. After seeing how poorly the place was kept I did not want,to eat the food.

This Mickey D's was recently remodeled and upgraded! Yay for improvements. You can now order your food at one of the three self-serve kiosks by the entrance. They also added in 2 large monitors that show which orders are being worked on and which orders are ready to pick up. A lot of people hate coming to this location because a lot of homeless people are outside, but Seattle has an overall homeless problem... so yeah, it's a city issue. This location is extremely convenient and the food is always fresh, the fries are hot, and the service is fast. They've never messed up my order and I can usually be in and out real fast. No issues from me! If you work downtown or are commuting nearby, this is a solid option to stop by.

I work in South Lake Union and get a 30 minute lunch it takes me 10 minutes to get to your McDonald's and 10 minutes to get back with traffic. I find it absolutely appalling that my Quarter Pounder was not cooked hardly at all more just seared on the outside. Will not be recommended anybody to go over there for lunch.

Worst McDonald's ever. The should close this place. Too many people hanging out making a mess on the street. Order via app. It was ready at 18:43 but I didn't get until after 7. Everything was cold.
