Most of the tables were dirty or had condiment streak stains. Sat at the cleanest table. Went through 3 baby wipes and it still wasnt clean. The tables and chairs require a CHEMICAL clean down not just a paper towel wipe off. Filthy. The kids playroom doesnt seem to get cleaned as kids come out with blackened hands and socks. Play place is very nicely lit and open though. Son enjoyed it. PLEASE CLEAN BETTER OMG.

Usually this Macdons is good later at night, around 2am and on. But tonight it was brutal. Burgers taste like they have been siting since 10pm. At this time I understand ill be waiting, just make it fresh? The woman at the drive through was on point though.

Yesterday I ordered 13 Happy Meals for my daughter’s birthday instead of pizza since she doesn’t like pizza, and I thought it would be a fun idea for the kids. Unfortunately, the cashier seemed unhappy about the order, and I overheard a comment to another employee implying that ordering Happy Meals for a birthday was “cheap,” which made me feel quite uncomfortable. It was disappointing because the cost was similar to what I would have spent on pizza, and I was simply trying to do something nice for the children. Thankfully, the kids really enjoyed the Happy Meals and loved the idea, but the interaction at the counter took away from the experience.

My name is Lucien Delean and I do a lot of traveling on my e-bike around the Niagara Peninsula. I sometimes find it difficult to locate a working outlet to charge my bike. I live in Grassy, high above Grimsby on the Niagara Escarpment. I do ministry work with residentially displaced people in the area. The one place I can always count on for help is McDonalds restaurants. The Ontario Street location came through for me today. I’m actually still charging my bike as I text. It was completely drained so I’ve been here quite a while. A very sweet young lady at the drive through named Jessica assured me that I could wheel my bike inside and ‘plug in’. After being somewhat rudely treated by other business establishments in the ‘Downtown’ area of St. Catharines, I was truly appreciative of the kindness shown to me today. Perhaps the ‘Downtown St. Catharines’ folks could hold seminars on the importance of helping people in need who frequent the St. Paul street area. I will pray that they do, for the Lord knows they need it.

Let me start by saying that this review is not for the am staff at this location as they are professional, knowledgeable and provide excellent customer service. This review relates to a complete lack of all of the above displayed by the staff present at this location on Friday December 30th between 5:00 & 5:30 pm. On the way to get my son to his job we decided to pull through the drive through to order a McCrispy meal and joined the line at about 5:02pm. The drive through kiosk closest to the building in the lane we were in appeared to be either malfunctioning or not being operated properly as several orders were taken on the outside lane for every one taken on the inside lane. It took more than 20 minutes before our order was taken. When we got to the 2nd window to pick up our order we were instructed to pull into the drive through waiting area as it wasn’t ready. After waiting for about an additional 10 minutes I went into the restaurant to collect the order. It hadn’t been processed and when I asked for it I was greeted with blank stares by some and ignored by someone who appeared to be a manger but was wearing jeans which seemed out of place even for McDonalds. When I was a teen I worked at McDonalds in Mississauga and know that I could have literally cooked it faster myself. When it was finally presented at about 5:35 pm there was no apology for the wait and no accountability for the incompetence. Someone needs to take those who should be taking the lead at this location to task over a complete lack of customer service. Very disappointed as a customer and former employee.

Just a quick note to say that this is probably the cleanest MacDonalds I have been at in. Ontario. The staff were lovely and kind. Our counter server was training on cash and the other staff were very helpful and patient. Unfortunately, the hash browns were not crispy and soggy hash browns just don’t cut it :-(. The rest of our order was delicious.

If it would be possible to put 0 would do it… Ordered coffee and donut for kid, while waiting him after classes. 5 minutes waiting order is still there on the table on counter everyone passing by… 10 minutes waiting order- no movement of personnel… 15 minutes nothing…. Asking about my order from somebody on counter, after 3-5 attempts no reply. Finally catches one lady, what leads to arrogant approach to me as to the customer, turned around and left for the question- why coffee could take 15 minutes to pouring…. ? Manager instead of asking - “what happened?” From customer (me) and solve situation turned around in front of me and goes to talk to lady. 20 minutes it takes for them to realise that they can’t make an order and 5 minutes to return money, 25 minutes of spoiled mood for whole evening…. I’m not bagger or some kind of junky with witch unfortunately filled some of this places but just wanted some hot drink and donut for kid. I pay for service but got 0! Plus to all no-one even says something like apologise for spent time. During my waiting time some of orders were prepared twice… or it’s fatigue of personal or simple stupidity or absolutely careless- each of answers is worse than previous one… in any case service is payed but 0 received. Main relation to the customer is equal to person who is asking to prepare something for free or to unpleasant guest- 0 service, 0 respect, 0 response, 0 client orientation. 3 December 2025 19:00-19:30 The most pity it’s that due to carelessness all of this cases will just remain unresolved and people will continue to get bad services.

Brutal is the only word to describe the service. Multiple people waiting more than 20 minutes for their order. Finally got mine after 25 minutes. The only thing that was warm was the fries. I will not be using this store again and will advise others not to either.

Place needs to be renovated fries in grease burger dry if I were you avoid this place.

it is the most beautiful place on the earth that is so far away that you cannot even imagine what you would have done without it the food was amazing. and service was great. Great JOB .

All I could taste in my fries were oil. I had to wait half an hour for them. The walls looked a bit unrenovated. Maybe avoid this place.

If I could give this terrible restaurant a -100 I would. This McDonald's made me and my cousins wait for over an hour and even when we got our food we were missing the juice AND the fries. I didn't even realize that it had been an hour until I heard one more f the workers mutter it.I would've asked them for more food as an apology for the long wait but they probably would've denied such demands because of our age.I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN.

beautiful place the food is good but you should watch how much of it you eat. the fats and stuff will creep up on you

I find it very pathetic that people here can not get our orders right, my order what half missing and there was no straw for our drinks, how can it be so difficult to do this job?! I will not be returning to this location

Drive through? More like drive through & order. Then pull over & wait. Last time they gave our food to the wrong car. Do you know the frustration it causes waiting over half an hour for your fast food? And no apology at all when I went in to to say I've been waiting so long. And if the drive through is busy it is even worse.

Got the worst case of food poisoning ever at this location. Got it from a breakfast sandwich. I would advice to pass on this location and this company

Clean, fast service in drive-thru or eat in. Ample parking, friendly service. Good selection and specials.

Came here late at night and even when it wasn't busy it still took almost 30+ minutes for a couple junior chickens and a drink which is honestly funny, don't come here especially if you have a big boy order.

Order a beverage, get no straw. Order a poutine get no fork. Order a dessert get no napkins, you get the idea by now. Either they hire mentally stunted individuals or just people who don't have a work ethic. Either way you're order is gonna be screwed up one way or another if you go here.

Horrible service. Had to talk to the manager because the service was so slow. Took at least 10 minutes just for a hamburger. Been there multiple times and each time I've had to wait 10 minutes or longer. Around 10 cars were waiting before me. I would never in 1 million years recommend this McDonald's location sorry.

This place is awful, lol. Service is often slow, some mistakes mixed in, and people leaving for work early in the morning - this place pretends to be on their switch over for 45 minutes rather than 15 like they say.

Purchased 4 hamburgers at the drive-thru and found them all so soggy they were not edible. I would have taken them back except that I don't live close enough to bother. Very disappointed and very likely will not go there again, at least not that particular location.

Regular McDonald's taste with an abnormally long wait. Waits of 20+ minutes are common at this location and there's almost always something wrong with the order. The drive to Welland Ave is worth it you'll get your food quicker with fewer mistakes

The new Italian McTaster is the perfect balance between tangy and zip. Unfortunately the mcflurry wanted no new friends. Therefore I had to deduct a star from my review. Thank you.

This is an open letter to the staff/owner/anyone involved in working at or maintaining this particular establishment. I am a very quiet, even mannered person that nine times out of ten will never complain or even mention any sub-par service or experiences unless they are particularly egregious, but I had to mention the experience I just had. I was in the drive through and ordered my usual order and was told that it didn't exist. I explained that I had got this order multiple times there and at other locations and kept getting told that I was wrong and couldn't order that because there was no such thing. I was a bit confused and asked for more clarification, explaining this was a regular order of mine. I was then told that I was going to be put on hold so he could ask for help (I assumed from his superior or manager) and was left sitting at the speaker with a long line of other cars behind me for about 20 minutes with no one coming back to even let me know what was going on. Eventually the screen showing the other item I had ordered was cleared and the screen went back to the original welcome screen, which seemed like they had just decided to ignore me, cancel my other order, and maybe hope I would just get tired of waiting to be served and leave. I felt bad for the long line of people behind me also waiting so I drove up to the window thinking maybe then I could get some service. Another 10 minutes approximately went by with the employees inside going about whatever they were doing and still completely ignoring me (and ultimately the rest of the people behind me). The manager eventually did come to the window and asked me what the problem was; I guess no one had even mentioned my dilemma to him or asked him for assistance like I was told was being done. I reiterated, very politely, again what my issue was and finally was informed that the order I wanted wasn't available at that particular location. Now, had I been told that in the beginning instead of being dismissed, called a liar, and then ignored, I would have been fine with that. I would still have been confused due to the fact that I have been able to get this order at any location in the area, but I would have just ordered something different. I did so and it took them another 10 minutes for me to get anything at all, meanwhile the people behind me where so angry and frustrated almost all of them sped out of line in droves, losing the restaurant countless sales due to their incompetence, discourtesy, and apathy to their customers. I work in customer service as well so I know how difficult and thankless the service industry can be, but I also know that treatment like what I was given today is unacceptable. When I finally did get my order, several things were wrong with it and at this point I felt so disrespected like they didn't even care; not about getting my order right and certainly not about the awful service I was given. I wasn't offered an apology, an explanation, or any sympathy in any capacity. I would warn anyone to never go to this location and I sincerely hope the owners of this establishment are ashamed of the kind of service and behaviour being given there.

The service at the drive-thru is always slow and the orders are usually wrong. I rarely go to McDonalds, but every once in a while when I go I am reminded of why I hate going there. I have never had worse service at any drive-thru before.

Do not ever go here if you are in a hurry and want to grab a meal through the drive-thru. Waited ten minutes and there was still two cars ahead of me that had not been serviced. People were honking, and leaving the line without even getting their food. I left after 15 minutes. Terrible service.
