Check your bag before you leave the drive through. They will absolutely not get the order right. I had to go back in the store to ask from a cheeseburger that was missing, and stand there and wait while they tried to find a manager to talk to you. I ended up buying another cheeseburger because it was impossible to stay any longer. Drive a little further and go to a better McDonald's

I went to buy the chicken wraps cos it’s new from their menu. I like going to this place to grab a quick bite instead of going to the downtown location (which we don’t really like cos they are not nice and friendly). All staff here were very friendly, accommodating, has sense of urgency, I asked for extra bag and she gave me one without charging me. I forgot her name but I think that’s the manager. The only thing is that there are quite a few unhoused people are hanging-out outside the store. But other than that everything is good for me. Will keep coming back here.

This McDonalds is not fast food. First, the parking and drive thru are nightmares! The logistics of getting into that drive thru line requires blocking traffic on Liliha and also requires gymnastics abilities that no car can do. I decided to go into the restaurant rather than get frustrated. Wrong move. It took me 10 minutes to order and another 25 minutes to receive my order then another 10 minutes trying to exit the parking lot by any exit possible. And that took place with 4 managers working the line. Not only was my order wrong, it did not include condiments or napkins. I’m not crazy enough to return the wrong order. I chalked it up to a total loss of one hour and a meal. Heed my warning and go elsewhere. Did I mention what I paid? It’s too obscene to mention in a PG review.

Slow slow slow don't call it fast food call it people are going in slow motion because there all burt out. I write this after sitting for 20 mins for a hash brown. I hope corporate closes you guys down because it just pathetic.

I ordered an large iced caramel coffee for pickup, but when I got home and checked, it was just plain water. I was really shocked and frustrated.

During my few previous visits at this McDonald’s specifically, I would like to say that it was all disappointments. Whenever I would go there for lunch, dinner or just a soda, I realized that the Coca-Cola tastes super watery & that the syrup tastes funny too. It has been like that for a very long time. My visit today was not bad since I told the worker that the Coca-Cola from the soda fountain for customers tasted flat (watery), she just gave me a new one from their Kitchen’s soda fountain which tasted fine. Whenever I go to other McDonald’s in the State of Hawaii, their fountain soda isn’t always flat. If it was then the workers would fix it immediately! The First Floor smells like a urinal because of homeless people coming in and out.

I paid M041 and elected drive through. The cashier said my order was pending. So I showed her my phone that my order was PAID by my VISA. So they refused to give me my order going back and forth. So I told her my order number again and she said your order is for $25. So I told her for sausage and coffee?? So she asked me again what is my order number for the THIRD time! She finally called her manager going back and forth discussing this and asked me again what I ordered. Then they finally printed my receipt for my order. This is Christmas! My order was PAID! They have NO HEART and NO SERVICE MINDED! She even wanted me to pay again and come back if there was a mistake on their part. Are you kidding me??

Food was good no issues, service was OK a few issues with understanding the order, tables were filthy & place could use a revamp as it feels like it hasn't happened in a long time.

I can never complain about the food, I love McDonald's. But this is probably the slowest McDonald's on the island! Drive Thru, Curbside and Counter service. I have gone at peak times and where there is nobody inside. I visit this location because it's the closet and on the way usually but you WILL wait over 30 minutes in the drive thru or curbside. And at least 15-20 inside the restaurant for anything including a food item. I worked at McDonald's for 4 years in high school, and I just can't imagine what is slowing them down THIS MUCH. I also observe that they complete their orders on their order screens before the order is complete in order to shorten their times. Anyway, thank you for my 99c ice coffee. For reference. I made a mobile order at 945am, arrived at curbside at 9:50am, and I am still waiting for my order of 2 coffees and 3 breakfast platters at 10:21am... Hoping food will still be hot and my ice coffees aren't just sitting on the counter watered down... I ended up going inside to get my food, was greeted by a sweet young crew member named Leilani helped me get my order. Finally got my order at 10:30am.

Placed my order via the app. The wait wasn't long. One of the items I ordered as the regular size Oreo McFlurry and was not happy with what I received. Not sure if there were changes on how it's prepared. Maybe I'm wrong but I could have sworn that the Oreo was mixed throughout and not just on the top. If this how it's being done now, then it's not worth it and I will not be ordering this again.

Drive thru, I knew the ratings were already questionable but it was the closest McDonald's and I learned my lesson. The fries were cold and the chicken nuggets tasted like I microwaved them at home. I will say it was fast service but when I pulled up to pay there were two women ignoring me with the window open as I waited to pay. Overall my DrPepper was the only good thing about this experience.

Located on the corner of School st and Liliha st, decided to grab a quick breakfast sandwich. For take out. The dining area is normally crowded, downstairs with only about 5 tables, they do have upstairs dining with the restrooms upstairs. They have a stair case and elevator to go up, but hardly the area is not maintained and not cleaned regularly, so decided to bring it home and eat. The Egg McMuffin at Macdonald always can't be beat for the breakfast sandwich compared to other fast food restaurants, they have the best.

I had a picture perfect double quarter pounder cheese today! It was amazing! The drive through was backed up. I went inside to order and the service was pretty good today.

I've been to this McDonald's a few times. The service is a hit or a miss. The soft serve ice cream machine is down at times, but I guess that's with most McDonald's. They just rolled out a new McFlurry called Grandma. It's vanilla soft serve with butterscotch syrup and crumbled butterscotch candy. OMG, it's so good. I'm addicted, lol. I got this one on Wednesday and was hooked. It wasn't overly sweet. This location didn't give too much syrup and candy though. I went to another location the next day and they gave way more.

This place is a total s*** show. I never eat McDonalds. I came to get my work bestie a collector's cup. I went inside so I could ask the cashier to look for the particular serial number that I wanted. Meanwhile, I observed a lady come in asking for the restroom. She was told to go upstairs because the 1st floor restroom was out of order . The stair case to the 2nd floor lights were all turned off, but yet they still advised her to go up. This was about 8pm, so it was dark to begin with and especially with the lights off on the stairs. I thought that was dangerous and a liability. OMG!!!! The lady comes running down frantically. She went straight to the counter to tell the employees that when she opened the door to the women's restroom there was a homeless man in there!!! The employees and the MANAGER who was also a woman didn't even flinch!! They didn't even offer to go upstairs or call the police. A few minutes later the homeless man comes downstairs. There was a local Uncle who observed the situation and started yelling at him to leave. He also told him to never go into a woman's restroom. He also said out loud that she could've been raped. The manager still didn't do or say anything to the frantic lady. This place is DANGEROUS. Management and staff do not take the proper precautions to ensure customers safety.I would've used the drive thru, but again, I wanted the specific cup and didn't want to hold up the drive thru line.

I always go to this McDonald cuz I live near and normally I never complain they have always treated me and my family well but lately they been on some funky stuff came in to get ice cream for my husband and said the ice cream machine wasn't working after i ordered my food ,I saw a delivery guy make his own ice cream cone and the McDonald worker look like they got caught with their pants their down so I was mad. I decided to let it go and just grab my food because it was late but I'm definitely going back to complain to them why they lied.

.5 star lol Worst mcdonalds EVER. I think old people should not be cashiers! They have semi-senility and dont hear correctly. They should ask and not assume if they heard correctly by repeating the order! Wrong platter and coffee made wrong!!! Buyer beware! TERRIBLE!!!

I recommend this location if you're in the area. It's clean and the staff are friendly. I'll be back again when in the area.

With closure of Foodland the parking lot has more space, but it has become a homeless encampment. No more self service soda machine at this location. At meal times this is a very busy location. Drive up is pretty fast

I've been to a lot mcdonalds on Oahu and found that your store in Liliha has quite a bit of employees including more then one manager but Boi I found this mcdonalds being the slowest McDonald's on the island every single time . what is up with that? I mean it looks like you have more then enough workers and half of them are m but still it looks like they cannot handle. Liliha store is too too slow and long drive thru and in store lines. RIDICULOUS!!! Your Kahala store tops it all, they are fast great customer service and very efficient! So two thumbs up for Kahala mcdonalds!

At the drive-thru and my order wasn't ready. Was told to pull into one of the stalls right outside the drive-thru exit. First it was just me parked there. Then two others parked. The worker came walking out with a bag and went straight to the 3rd car as it just parked and handed them the bag. I thought that had to be mine. Then the worker starts walking back. The customer starts going through the bag and pulling out the items. Then she realizes it's not her order! I am looking right at her. Then the worker sees me and realizes that she might have given it to the wrong car. She goes back, gets the bag and brings it to me. I tell the worker that I was right here the whole time and how did she not see me!? All she can muster is "oh sorry" and walks away just looking at me like I was wrong! Called the manager, Lei, to let her know what happened. She was no help. She kept saying sorry. Then she said what do I want? I said I don't want you to give me anything, I just want you to train your employees better so this doesn't happen again! Jeez, wtf happened to customer service. SMFH

If you ever have problems with management at this McDonald's and you report it on their corporate website and you get a call from the store manager named Lydia and she will bribe you with free French fries and then tell you to report all problems from her restaurant to her mobile number. Please do not send your future concerns or complains to her. Always report your complaints to the McDonalds corporate website and if she texts you or call you, do not answer or respond always again report your complaints to the corporate restaurant that will scare, teach, and discipline restaurant management and employees.

The staff here is very kind! It is a busy location so be prepared for a line if it's lunch or dinner time. :) the seating area is extremely clean! We like to sit upstairs. The ladies here make the most perfect I've cream cone I've ever seen at McDonald's! I wish they had a tip option when paying! If Starbucks has it, McDonald's should too.

You need to take the time to train your employees. Came here this morning, 3:15am. Drove to the drive thru and placed order for breakfast items. Mind you, the young lady took a long time to take my order....about 5 mins of waiting at the speaker. We get to the window and we figure out she's new. It was clear the female manager was also at wits end as we hear, "Well you need to tell them." So the trainee then tells us our breakfast order that she took is not available. They don't serve breakfast till 4am. Why did she not tell us when she was taking our order?!?!? McD.....you need to do better with training your staff I get it. People are hard to find but come on.

They need to pave their ground. The ground has huge holes that are getting deeper. It has been that way for a while now. I am worried that my car's alignment will break when I go to the drive-thru. And why they don't have any ice cream available all the time??

Coffee covers do not sit tightly on cup spilled 2 cups of hot coffee Not very happy and coffee was scolded hot

Had an UBER order to deliver @ 5:18 am the drive thru was closed even though store signage posted says 24/7 so had to cancel the order & hopefully not get penalized from the customer April 23 2025

I don't usually write reviews--The staff was rude, the location was was considerably dirty and to top it off, there was a giant cockroach crawling in my bag when we opened it!

So frustrating after repeatedly stating no cheese no egg on my sausage McGriddle and I get it with cheese. Nothing else to add other than disappointment. Aloha Friday...

This location is closed at 530am, DRIVE THRU was BLOCKED OFF by LARGE TRASH CAN... this happened multiple times this month and it was CLOSED for business. *BUSINESS HOURS 0400AM - 1100PM???*

Let's start with the fact that there's holes in the walls all over the place then add how it smells, then, finally, how there's no organization for lines. Put that all on the side and then ... you want to charge me $.52 for a cup of ice when you hardly put any ice in my large cup of warm "ICED" TEA! This was after you watched a woman bring in her igloo JUG, rinse it at the soda fountain, then FILL IT with Powerade, said NOTHING to her, and let her walk right out!

I'm a little torn. I only do the drive thur here because I'm hesitant to get out of my car with this place being overrun with mentally disturbed homeless people. I hate this parking lot and I also avoid the Foodland sharing this parking lot. The reason for four stars is the staff does the best they can in a bad situation. The food always tastes like McDonalds, and they are a friendly group. I can't ding a place because the City and County of Honolulu can't manage the neighborhood.

Ordering just two sandwiches and not getting what you want ... specifically ordered an egg McMuffin muffin and got a sausage mac muffin. Why, is it so hard to get the order right??

Started my morning off at 5am with a breakfast meal from McDonald's. Got a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit meal today and instead of a soft drink, I got a bottled water, which is also an alternative drink option. So when you order a biscuit, you automatically assume that biscuits are soft but this morning, my biscuit was not soft at all. And mind you, I have grandma teeth so biting into a hard biscuit was a bit hard. Some days McDonald's would have their biscuits nice, soft and fresh and other days it's the complete opposite: hard, and dry. So it's a hit or miss.

I typically frequent McDonald's Liliha in the mornings around 6 am and 7 am. What is irritating to me is that there is a maintenance person that cleans the drive through lane when the cars are waiting in line. It is very dangerous to have this person walking in front and back of the cars in line. Around that time, it's still dark. Also, this same person washes the walkway on the side of the restaurant. This person gets the hose and unintentionally splatters the cars waiting in the drive through area. When I do order the apple pie, it's not even hot. Other than that, the employees at the windows are nice.

Ordered hot cakes, went to park at the school, No syrup. What is this, no ask no get!

I got to the drive through at 12:15 AM. Waited at the ordering window for 5 minutes. The lights for the menu go off and when I look behind they put a trash can in the driveway. This place isn't 24 hours. They always block the driveway from 12AM-2AM. Terrible customer service.

McDonalds come on now. It's 2:30 Pm and they allow these homeless to sleep outside where i see people going in and out. Wow. i'm in drive thru and i want to get out but stuck. I won't be ordering anything -thanks a lot. it's like nothing too. the manager seems to think this is normal. Well let this not be the new norm!!

I normally don't ever give McDonald's a 5 star but this girl worked.sonhard and they were so short handed tonight. I could tell she was trying her best and was stressed out but she never showed it. I would've quit already

Ordered hotcakes this morning at 5:30am. No syrup with the order AND a long black hair in the container.

Let me start off by saying that employees are always super nice and friendly! That's the good news. The bad news is it's expensive, it's always crowded with a long drive through line, and you can never ever ever ever get a milkshake.

The worst McDonald's I have ever been too. The workers ended up arguing with the customers, the worst customer service and the food isn't correct. They don't own up to their mistakes and I am not sure who runs that fast food place but they should've closed down and Foodland should have been there. I had made 2 online mobile orders to pick up on different days because i was hungry for fries and stuff. I had a friend pick it up and when I got it, the fries wasn't hot and it was missing something from my order. I used to work for McDonald's years ago and it was the best, we competed with each other to see who got the best customer service, it was 30 second service, it was the best. Now days, it's not the same, the workers are lazy and have poor customer service. Someone should look into closing that place down and bring back Foodland. Crisi

Ordered A Caramel Frappe and a Mocha Frappe on the uber app both drinks were INCORRECT, the corrective action both parties should've taken is say there is NO FRAPPES available and contact the people that ORDERED THE FOOD and made sure the customer is satisfied, if they haven't made that clear enough it should have been made clear from the start, if i could give this store half a star I would, but thats not the case in this moment.

Inconsistent hours. Drive thru will have a trash can blocking the entrance at any hour. Sometimes it's 8pm sometimes it's not til 10pm. Workers waiting outside at 5am even though it's open "24hr"

Service is slow. Took 40 minutes to order and get my order inside. There's two register and they opened it only for like one or two order and then closed it again, there's like 12 people waiting to order.

Hair in food, was very disappointed. Had to throw out my large fries and also tasted very odd. Please be more careful next time.

We went through the McDonald's by Liliha Foodland and I had the worse service from the woman taking orders and payments, her manager was no better. I will never go back there again. No wonder their star ratings are so low. So much for being friendly and customer oriented. Awful drive through service!

Spicy chicken sandwich is on my order list every time.. I never thought abt need to open the package to check inside the restaurant abt their food fresh or not till I home.. the chicken obviously not fresh, it looks like from yesterday or the day before! I cannot imagine I need to open to find it out their food fresh or not inside the restaurant in the future.

While on vacation, I was told I had to try the McDonalds Delux Breakfast. Vacation in Hawaii to eat McDonalds breakfast...? I love McGriddles just as much as any good American, but for reals? I did as told and randomly picked this location. It's just like any other Micky D's nothing truly special. I ordered the Deluxe Breakfast and noticed that it was different. There was Spam, Portuguese Sausage, Rice, and Eggs. Talk about a great breakfast! The meats were awesome but for some reason it was the rice that stood out as extra tasty. Well worth it and it needs to make its way to the mainland. And then I saw a beauty that I haven't seen since the Hot link Bagel dog: The Haupia aka "the fried McDonalds pie." It had a delicious coconut filling and they still fry the pies here. Damned be the heath nuts that did away with fried apple pies. Flakey, creamy and a perfect treat that I miss from childhood. If you're in Hawaii, I recommend trying out the breakfast at McDonalds. You won't be disappointed.

This place just kinda closes when the fuck ever. I normally don't post reviews, especially for fast food, but come the fuck on. This is re-goddamn-diculous. Figure it the fuck out, you're an American institution. What's worse is they head home and don't inform a single mother fucker. If you order from any service for delivery, it says they're open and you end up waiting an hour or more to be disappointed. Only after you ask your delivery driver through the app do you find out you're not getting anything. Fix this. Seriously. i have been disappointed repeatedly. Just fucking say you're not open 24 hours you fucking assholes. I have voiced concern and frustration through multiple avenues, but nothing. There's no closed or open sign, just a fucking trash can in front of the drive through entrance. Fuck these assholes. Figure it the fuck out. JESUS FUCKING CHRIST

1 Star. I do not recommend this location. I've been here many, many times and have almost always had issues but this visit was the last time. I'll never go back. Read below for a detailed review of each component. Food: My friend and I ordered 2 bacon, egg and cheese biscuits, which are 2 for $4. Instead, we received 2 sausage biscuits (no bacon, no egg, no cheese) which are $1 each, and more importantly, NOT what we wanted to eat. Service: Not friendly. The line was pretty long. When we got to the register, the server did not smile at us. We asked her what were the sandwiches that were on the 2 for $4 menu, and she just walked away without saying anything (while my friend was still talking to her). She came back with the dollar menu, which didn't even answer our question. That's pretty bad already, but the fact that our order was almost entirely wrong is just too much. I mean seriously...to completely mess it up, all they had to do was put it in a muffin instead of a biscuit! *eye roll* Ambiance: Very crowded, hectic, and uncomfortable. There seemed to be a bottleneck in ordering, which caused the line to wind all the way to the door, blocking the entrance. But clearly there are issues in the back as well, since food was taking long to get out and it was wrong when it came out. People who placed their order were forced to constantly be moving around, trying to get out of the way. Overall experience: I think anyone who goes to a fast food place has experienced something being wrong with their order, so by now we are all pretty good about checking in the bag to see if we've at least got the right number of items. But to now be expected to actually unwrap our items and open it up to ensure that they've been made correctly, that's just unacceptable. And can you still call it "fast" food if you have to wait so long for it? Final words: I do not recommend this location. Slow service, unfriendly staff and most importantly, chances are your order will be wrong. It's an incredibly busy location so I have to assume that things are so bad here because they're understaffed. I'm sure no one there intends to be rude or mess things up on purpose, and a part of me feels for the team there, because they're probably all really stressed out.
