McDonald's

I went there on my break thursday the 16th and i get to work and start eating my fries and i notice a literal piece of gun in my fries and then i tried to call multiple times no answer. Highly disappointed it’s actually ridiculous.

The online ordering worked perfectly at this location unlike other McDs. The place was really busy and the drive thru line wrapped around the building. I switched my order from drive thru to pickup when I arrived and it was ready in less than 5 minutes. And everything was right with the order. Big bonus!

Came here tonight wanting a coffee and ordered 2 medium sized drinks. Got my drinks and realized that they were not mediums and let the employee at the window know that it says small on the side of the cup. A woman came from the back trying to explain the sizes to me with an attitude as if i’m blind and can’t see that it says SMALL. If i’m paying for something then I expect it to be exactly what I ordered.

First of all I already reported this location to that link. I'M MAKING SURE I EXPOSE THIS LOCATION FOR THE TRASH 🗑 YOU SOLD ME! SO KEEP YOUR GENERIC RESPONSE!!!!!!😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡 McDonald's Complaint I am very disappointed in McDonald's. I don't know what happened to the size of the Filet-O-Fish sandwich. It looks like a little kid's meal; you can eat it in one bite. It looks like a slider, which is very disappointing. The fish filet wasn't even hot or fresh like I would have liked, and I paid all of that money for trash. The fries were also not hot or fresh, and they made me wait a long time before they brought my food out. After waiting that long, I was expecting hot food, but that was not the case. My Sprite also had a weird smell and taste. Furthermore, I did not appreciate how they changed the pricing for drinks. Now, they charge an extra $0.20 if you want Tea or Hi-C, when those drinks were always included with the meal at no extra charge. I felt like my money was wasted. I will definitely not spend my hard-earned money on this garbage. My order should be replaced. Can you please look into this matter?

App order. Very disappointed in the way everything has started to downsize. I ordered a double fish combo for myself, and the fish was so thin, and the bun should have been for a kids burger. Fries were not hot and fresh. I was outside the building as I placed my order. So there was no reason for the fries to not be fresh and hot.

I work in that area several times a week for the past year and grab either a quick breakfast or dinner there. The staff is courteous and kind, my food order is always right, hot, served in moments. They never give you flack about having preference for human counter service (because what I want isn’t found on the kiosk), and they give customer access to all the relevant condiments you may need, and you can enjoy your hot food in a clean lobby. I’m always pleased with their service and have even called the manager to the front just to rave over their good work, which I believe is just as important as calling them forward to complain. There are plenty of other fast food places that have taken the attitude that if it’s affordable, then the food doesn’t have to be good, hot nor right. However THIS VESTAVIA HILLS LOCATION does not. There, the food tastes like you’d think it SHOULD. ..and with a hectic schedule that doesn’t leave me much time for redos and extra waiting, I DEFINITELY appreciate that.

I ordered through Door dash, dasher contacted me stating Mc Donald’s didn’t have what I ordered, and that I would have to cancel. I canceled and reordered. The manager refused to prepare my order because I canceled an order, however, never notified me of this. A dasher picking up my order notified me that the manager was refusing to prepare it.

Service was my big issue. The person at order box was very polite and spoke to me. The person at pick up window said nothing, looked pissed off at world, and didn't give me napkins or a straw. Will go to McDonalds 3 miles further just to get someone to be nice enough to go a step further and for need of napkins, ketchup, or any other condiments that I may have forgotten to ask for, as a reminder if ( ex- mustard) may have been forgotten about by me... with some facial expression other than "sourpuss"

Kind of a hit or miss, this location. When I went here, I ordered chicken nuggets, a burger and fries. The fries were not done completely as they also were not salted at all. When I brought my food home, I put the fries in the oven on broil with sea salt to improve the taste/texture. In fact, I've had to do this 9 out of 10 times I've gone here or ordered here. The burgers are okay. However, I do not trust them much to order the food for delivery, as they do not listen to specific instructions well. The nuggets were cold and a bit on the stale side. I ended up throwing one order of nuggets away, and tried to finish one order, but it was so challenging trying to eat them. They did not sit well with me at all. This is the only location near me-- hoping to see improvement as I do recognize the fast food industry has struggled pretty significantly with lack of workers. I'm hoping that soon this will be an improved location.

The absolute worst McDonalds location I've ever been to!!! "Kim" (I'm sure she lied about her name) does not know what costumer service is. Really rude

OUT OF EVERYTHING!!!!! I went and asked for a a basket of fries, a ice cream in a cone, and a large sprite. The lady said that they were out of sprite and their ice cream machine was broke.I ended up getting a cup of water. We got to the window and asking for a straw and she then said they were out of straws. We asked for napkins and she said they were out.

We ordered online. When I arrived, they apparently did not have my food ready. When I finally got my food, they said everything was on it. I checked, and to no one's surprise, there were things missing. When I got home, just wanting to eat my food, the burger ended up being undercooked. I called and asked for a refund, and the manager notified me that they couldn't do refunds over the phone. Worst experience, will not return.

I will never return to this restaurant. They refused to provide a receipt. They got my order wrong. When I returned to the drive through window to have them correct the order, they were very nasty. They did not know how to process a survey coupon for a free sandwich and then argued with me when I told them I had used a similar coupon for the exact same order just days before. The restaurant also had garbage in the parking lot and is an eyesore for our community. I'll go up the road to Chick-fil-a in the future. Now I know why everyone makes fun of the people who work at McDonald's. We don't expect much, but these folks can't deliver even the lowest level of service.

I had to go back twice today and it's still wrong and it's bad bc it says it on the receipt how can you be that bad of a place in supposed to be a nice part of town but I guess that's changing also don't go here take the extra 10 mins and go to the other one I hope this place gets shut down I'm gonna do some research and see who I can call bc we all have to do our job so they should to bc we are eating what they are serving us and it seems like they don't care

We were in the area and stopped by for a cold drink. If you're on the opposite side of Hwy 31, this location is not super easy to get to, and the intersection doesn't take you directly to the store. But alas, we made it. The parking lot of this McDonald's is significantly smaller than others, but I guess it does the job. We got our drinks (and they were correct!!), so that's an added star. Overall Good experience.

You go to McDonald's knowing it will suck but the employees at this location straight up don't care.

We were in the area and stopped by for a quick drink to quench our thirst. Hard to beat their dollar any sized drinks. Didn't have any issues here, as the lines wasn't long, and they got our order correct. The employees were friendly and fast, so we were back on our way quickly. We'd stop by here again.

Went here on Sunday prepared to be patient with service levels due to the national worker shortage. However, was pleasantly surprised. Associates were kind and upbeat and there was hardly a line and no wait. The quality of the food was fine, but my nuggets could have stayed in the fryer moment longer. Not sure if I got lucky on the timing, but definitely appreciated the pleasant attitude of the workers!

Food was cold and terrible and they didn't give me what I asked for. I wouldn't recommend this place. The atmosphere in for the workers was terrible I understand since the place itself wasn't it.

Mcdonalds is McDonald's! Lol! But I will say that this location, at least around lunch time is usually very friendly and keeps smiles on their faces. The drive through line, especially during lunch, can be quite long. But it's lunch time in Hoover/Vestavia, so you can't really expect more. They do move the lines pretty quickly, and I've never had to go back to correct them on something that was messed up in my order. I had been working hard all day and was pretty pretty hungry! And they had warm chocolate chip cookies!

Here is a situation: in the wake of pandemic mania and heightened cleanliness requirements across the globe this McDonalds is a problem in its community - at least today. Located within a highly populated area and off a major highway and bustling with business, neither its staff nor manager, upon request, saw it necessary to properly stock hand soap or toilet paper . Lol wait, literally zero hand soap or toilet paper in the whole restaurant and apparently NONE in their stocked supplies area as well. No attempt to supplement either. WHAT? This is a "RESTAURANT" and there is not even a way for the employed food handlers to wash their own hands after they use the restroom and clean themselves with hand napkins. Glad we inquired before we ordered food, never mind. Whether the staff told the truth, or they were too lazy to actually serve the needs of their patrons, this place should be closed for business until an order of basic sanitary supplies are delivered and stocked. It's a RESTAURANT - Beware the McDonalds, Vestavia Hills, AL where eyelashes are on point but toilet paper is and clean hands are not. In the words of their staff "oh we ain't got any," - of course only after a long wait and second inquiry .

Took a bite of my Quarter Pounder, thought it seemed a little cold, looked down and it was raw. I've had problems with this location but this one sent me straight to Yelp. Brought it back to the restaurant and they acted like it was a normal routine. The cashier even chuckled when I drove up to the window. This could of went way worse if I had eaten the burger. Definitely will not be visiting that location ever again

I am extremely disappointed at the lack of all-day breakfast at this large McDonald's franchise, especially given that this menu option has been widely-advertised for years. While some franchises are too small to realistically implement this menu option, the lack of all-day breakfast at this McDonald's is simply inexcusable. I will not be back to this McDonald's, and I will encourage family and friends to do the same.

Manager was so kind and helped me find avengers missing from my collection. Went well out of her way to assist me. Lots complain of service at fast food but she was awesome!! Thank you so much

Absolutely amazing service! seemed like there were only two people working but they were wonderful, loving and upbeat attitudes!

Customers service is non existent. I ordered a Dr Pepper that tasted nothing like it. It tasted like soda water. I was told to pull up and wait on my food and the two workers that brought me my cokes and food acted like they where on something. They seemed high af and like they weren't paying attention to anything. Most importantly their work and customers.

Horrible!! But I should have known it would be, it's McDonald's. The customer service is just like Wal-Mart, it doesn't exist. The lady who took my order at the speaker just yelled "can I have yo order". When I pulled up to pay, it took her about 3 minutes before she opened the window for me to pay. Once at the second window, the young man gave me my soda, but asked me to pull down for my food. You would think they had plenty of time to cook it since I'd already been in the drive through about 6 minutes so far. After waiting 12 minutes I went inside only to see they weren't even preparing my order. Yes, I had an attitude!! Everyone was moving so slowly and it was only a couple people inside. After several minutes, I finally got my order and discovered that nothing had been cooked fresh. I have no idea what the wait was for. Never again!! Luckily for me, I seldom eat McDonald's...

Okay sometimes and not the other times. It's McDonald's so.. once an employee upgraded my drink to a frappe and that made my day!

Terrible service! I was at the first drive thru window and there were 2 women inside completely ignoring me. I was sitting there waiting to be acknowledged so i could pay for my order, but they continued to act like i wasn't there. I decided to pull up to the other window since there was no way i had to pay at the first one since i was being ignored. As soon as i go to pull away they start yelling at me that i have to pay there. Like i was going to but i was being rudely ignored! At LEAST the food wasn't too bad.

Usually McDonald's coffee isn't too bad when everything else is closed for the night, but this location managed to screw it up. It took several minutes for them to get it to me despite the fact that it was already brewed and I was the only person in the drive through. When I finally got it, it tasted like it had been badly burned and then left on the counter for half an hour. It wasn't even remotely warm.

The service was very unsatisfactory. I was in the drive-through today and was not even acknowledged.

The food was cold. I was told the machine couldn't dispense the Sprite I ordered, until I told them I didn't drink anything else. The drink I ordered without ice had ice in it. They only had one toy for the happy meal, Spongebob, which I do not permit my daughter to watch because I find it inappropriate - so why would I let her have its toys? Then, to boot all, there was a hair in the fries. My expectations for McDonald's aren't high to begin with; but this lnwas, hands down, the most horrid McD's visit I've EVER had. I will drive out of my way to go to a different location if we ever deciyde to do McDonald's again while in this area.

Very poor experience here dining in. This location has the new self service kiosk that was easy to use and helpful. The kiosk makes sure to tell you to take a number, sit and relax and we'll bring your food to you, fair enough I'd say. I went during non peak hours and as I sat all I could hear was employees yelling about unfair work conditions and other issues hey were having. I waited approx 20 min for my food and at that point went to the counter and asked politely about my order... I was given a big sigh and no apology for having to wait for 2 dollar menu items but even after asking them I waited another 5 or so minutes for 2 cheeseburgers. I've had bad service many times at McDonald's but this was really bad. I would AVOID this location if all possible

Of all of the McDonald's I have been to, this is my favorite one. I pass it daily on my way to work and if I stop for breakfast, I'll be stopping at this McDonald's. The McChicken biscuits are always hot and fresh and they're cooked just the way I like it. They're not super dough-y like the Chick Fil A biscuits are. I love their hash browns also. And the sweet tea is always made perfectly here. I'm lovin' it. The reason I am not giving 5 stars is because their lunch isn't as good as I'd like it to be. The fries aren't always fresh and sometimes the sandwiches aren't as good as they should be. Don't get me wrong, this is the best location in the Hoover/Vestavia/Homewood area though. The staff is usually pretty nice too! They don't say "go ahead" like other McDonalds locations do when you pull up at the drive through. They usually say "Welcome to McDonald's, may I take your order?" They're far more polite than other McDonald's locations in the Birmingham area.

Every time the fries sucks ... you shouldn't have to say fresh fries every time they are supposed to be freshly made anyways I won't be going back They take your money with no problems, why can't I have goid service....

Slowest McDonald's on the planet, hands down. Go cook yourself a meal, it will be quicker.

i just love their ice cream and vanilla and chocolate flavour... and the taste of the mccburger as well.....
