"Open since 1977 on a lively drag of Park Street, McGee’s is the best sports bar in Alameda. This welcoming, no-frills watering hole has over a dozen TVs, both an outdoor dining patio, and live music on the weekends. The food rotates between Paisano’s Italian wings, ‘za and sandos, and Areito Latino’s Puerto Rican tostones, tacos, and epic Salzon smash burger." - Adrian Spinelli

Clean bar, great food and good drink selection. Awesome place to go throughout the week. Chicken Sandwich is so good!

I went to McGee's to see an improv show and had never been there before. The bar had a strong "Cheers" vibe. It seemed to be a place locals go to meet and hang out with friends. The kitchen has a limited menu. I ordered a Caesar salad, and was surprised how good it was (fresh, crispy romaine lettuce and not overdressed). The beer seemed a little pricey ($9.50 for a Guinness), but maybe that's market for Alameda.

Google
Food is good enough. McGees is more of a local meet up place. People come here to bump into other people who happen to be in town. They also have live music from time to time. Unfortunately the bathroom was out of order the last time we were there, so once we met up we went elsewhere on Park St.

Google
giving 2 stars only because the owner is a raiders fan . It's quite dark in there and the bald guy that's a bartender should consider another career path .Me and my family asked for Don Julio 70 shots and he showed us a cheaper option because he assumed we couldn't afford it. 👎🏽 We ended up getting 6 shots at 20 dollars a piece.

Google
The staff are friendly, and the pop-ups serve food totally on point!

Stephanie Sor

Google
The owner is aggressive and has a rude demeanor. I didn’t even step foot into the building and he was already hostile/ argumentative towards me. Not sure why anyone would willing spend money there. There are a lot of business owners much kinder than he is. I know where I will not be going and suggesting others to do the same. I’ll stick to Lucky 13.

Google
I'm having chicken skewers which are juicy and well seasoned dressed with pickled cabbage. They're accompanied by the avocado salad in a light dressing with egg, onion and mandarin orange slices. All amazing. Too much food, yes. But I'll take it home. Pair it with an Alameda Brewing Kolsch (on tap).

The food was very delicious

Yelp
This is one of my favorite restaurants i also have to say that i worked for this restaurant a few years ago owner is very respectful and friendly he made me feel like a was at home very polite I also worked next to a server name Sierra she was very kind and the white tall guy in the kitchen was nice and friendly food good Service perfect Ambience great By the way buffalo sliders are so delicious highly recommend this place, give it a try

Yelp
Not a bad place for a drink with friends. The crowd was definitely a bit older than my wife and I but the people there were definitely having a great time. What brought us there in the first place was we were looking for a late night meal but unfortunately the kitchen was closed by the time we arrived. That's something to take note of if you're looking for a bar with food, after 9pm. A major plus though is their parking lot. It's right outside the building and you have multiple points of entry from the front and back of the bar. For the drinks they were fairly priced. I hope if I come here again it'll be during a time I can try their food. For now, I'll give the place 3/5. This is a good spot, and has their regulars. I just wish we got to experience more of the place, and at a time when it was more lively.

Yelp
The worst place for women, EVER!! Read below ladies, you could become a victim!!! We walked through thinking this place is super cute... we had some drinks and then realized this is a dudes place! There wasn't any music, so to have noise you have to be loud OR waste money on a jukebox. I swear I wasted $20 on some music... ugh!!! $5 here, $5 there... Drinks were pub prices! The kitchen was closed because we arrived later. As the night went on, we left... we knew we were done. We ordered simple items... they don't have a mixologist. Unfortunately my friend left her keys, and wallet before getting into an Uber. The next day she goes to retrieve her belongings..... her drivers license was missing!!!! On her key ring , her house keys were missing!!! She had a $100 bill in her wallet AND guess what? It was missing. Yes, we're adults, but we forget things.... If you are a woman, you won't enjoy this place!!! Total lack of ethics and most likely criminal activity!

Art H.

Yelp
If you want the best food head down there tonight! Paisanos is awesome. Any choice is great but I recommend the meatloaf tonight ! Wow!

John W.

Yelp
Beer was shit, food made me throw up blood. But the parking lot whore gave a nice bj.

Peter ..

Yelp
You are family here. Everyone wants to talk, the food is great, burgers fantastic, and overall excellent atmosphere. Will be coming back again. Owner is extremely nice and cares about his patrons. Excellent staple of Alameda and really appreciate this place.

Stephanie S.

Yelp
Crossed paths with whom I believe to be the owner. Round like beach ball. This guy off the bat is aggressive and hostile over the parking lot that is attached. He could've approached me respectfully when I first exited my vehicle. But he chose to chase after me and yell that it's private parking and yapping away. It wasn't even 9:00 AM yet. I would never step foot at Mcgees. Wouldn't donate a dollar if it burned out. There are a lot more kinder business owners out there on park st.

L C.

Yelp
Old school bar in a 100 yr old building at the beginning of the strip in Alameda with good food and fun munchies ! Also they have their own parking lot for Customers nice perk !

Kenneth S.

Yelp
Went in to watch the warriors game, ran a tab, At the end of the night, closed out tab, signed CC slip. Left a cash tip. They double dipped and added another $20 tip in my CC slip. Don't trust them.

Troy H.

Yelp
Food is fantastic! Paisano's serves up some of the best food on Park street, PERIOD! One of my favorite "go to" spots!

Stacy M.

Yelp
I've been here several times over the last 4 years and I can't understand why it has good reviews. Domestic draft beers cost $9, there's no listed pricing anywhere so sometimes it feels like prices are just made up on the spot. Drafts always tastes like they don't know how to properly clean the taps. When we mentioned a strange taste in all the beers the bartender said "that's how it's supposed to taste". There's never a friendly hello or how can I help you from the staff. They serve food but you never see anyone actually eating anything, yet somehow a dusty cafeteria like smell clouds the joint. Patrons also give off a very unwelcoming vibe. Has a lot of potential to be a great spot, but doesn't seem like anyone cares to make it one.

Shayla B.

Yelp
It's an absolute HELL naw with a capital H! The only reason why I'm giving this place 2 stars instead of 1 is because the first bartender that I had was pleasant and the two gentleman that I met there were extremely friendly. Otherwise, it would be one of those reviews that would start off with "If I could give this place zero stars, I would". Yeah, you know the drill. Walked in and instantly felt like an outcast. I mean, to the point of where I was getting stared down. Y'all know how I roll when it comes to the drinking game. I will go from the most elegant wineries to the most grungiest dive bars with no problems. I honestly really don't care as long as I'm having a good time and the drinks and food are good. Well, this place is just your typical neighborhood bar where most of the patrons are regulars. So, when you walk in and you're not known, you're gonna get the cold shoulder. Still, this didn't scare me away. I sat at the bar and ordered a margarita. I really just came to watch the last of the game, so I decided to see what this place was really all about. The first bartender that I had ended up being pretty friendly and the Margarita was decent. When I asked about food, she told me that I had to go to the kitchen to order it. I really hate when places have this kind of setup, but I got up and went to the back and ordered. Not sure if this dude was having a bad day, but the cashier was extremely rude. I ordered a hamburger and fries, glossed it over and went back to the bar. I ended up striking up a nice conversation with two gentlemen who were also watching the game. They were really friendly and told me that they had been coming to this bar for years. That kind of made me feel at ease a bit. When the food came, I already knew that it was gonna be a problem. The bun looked like those buns that come in a pack of 4 at the 99 cent store. I couldn't even see the Burger patty at first glance. I took a bite and was extremely disappointed. Overly bready, cold meat, and veggies that were not fresh. This burger was dry AF! The onions tasted nasty I honestly couldn't even finish it. The fries were also dry and cold. The food was definitely a major Miss! But what really pissed me off was the rude ass bartender who took over the other bartender's shift. I had planned to get another Margarita, but homegirl was purposely avoiding my area. Up at the bar, flirting with some regular, ignoring everyone else. When someone asked if they could get a drink, annoyance just covered her face. Look bro, this is your JOB. If you wanna make money, you need to serve the people at the bar. I finally decided that a drink was out of the picture. I wanted to finish watching the game though, so I decided to just sip on some water until the end. When the bartender finally made it over to my side of the bar, I asked her for a glass of water. She didn't say a word, just filled up the cup and place it on the counter. No straw, not even any damn ice in the cup! And then, left to the other side of the bar again. I noticed that another guy at the bar asked for water and what did this beezy do? Gave him a glass with ICE and a STRAW. That's how I know that it was intentional. I did nothing to this girl, so I don't know why I was being treated this way. I finally bounced out, never to return here again. It's just too bad because the two guys that I met were nice, but everything else going on in that place was a nightmare. Don't worry, you won't be seeing my face in there every again.

Dan B.

Yelp
Was an outsider visiting for a friends birthday party. Friendly service both from behind the bar as well as the kitchen. Very solid bar food.

Sarah Y.

Yelp
I might be giving this place 5 stars, because I expected run-of-the-mill bar food. But... Everything was very tasty! A little pricey but, after eating the food, I didn't really mind.

Tawanna M.

Yelp
Went for drinks. I ordered a rum and coke. They're big on family and the staff is family oriented. The bathrooms were clean and there's lots of space to walk around along with lots of seating options. It's a pretty laid back atmosphere. The bartenders are attentive which is a plus in any bar because you don't have long waits. They've already gotten rid of plastic straws so expect stainless steel.

Leslie K.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised by McGee's; from the darkened window to the street it seemed divey. But the staff is friendly, large tables accommodated our group, and the Mexican food truck Tuesday menu was quite tasty. I also appreciated the ambiance was conducive to conversation.

Andrew C.

Yelp
I had an appointment in Alameda and tried to go to Black Bull Tacos down the block (https://www.yelp.com/biz/black-bull-tacos-y-cerveza-alameda) but they are closed on Tuesday's (as well as only open for dinner) so ended up at McGee's where I could satisfy my urge with Taco Tuesday (https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/mcgees-alameda?select=nt8gJdw8EDwkyRTnQ839XQ) I went with a trio of Steak, Grilled Fish, & Shrimp tacos (https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/mcgees-alameda?select=EgP8_Lpfm76xaGNwEGRkWw&userid=DsHsuhUvyyW_75zFcJxkKw) with mixed results. - Steak looked OK (https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/mcgees-alameda?select=eHxy5O5UuQnvlw11I7IANA), but the meat was tough and bland. - Grilled fish was nicely seasoned (https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/mcgees-alameda?select=VFOdrq_dvoBU3JGwyCbvwQ) The Spicy Slaw was a little odd with rings of pepperoncini. - Shrimp were a bit overcooked, but the taco had the best toppings (https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/mcgees-alameda?select=IykqG21WOjG5jF5IgQ80YA) The diced poblanos & salsa verde combined for the most flavorful bites on the plate. Staff were reasonably friendly, but you could see they definitely favored the regulars who came in.

DonnaJean B.

Yelp
Tim the manager weeded me out of the garden of mcgees I was only in for a minute to see Frankie the bald headed bartender. I hope he got his shift back

Carlos G.

Yelp
Our old school spot... Always a great crowd young and older with no drama! The local spot where most alameda folks tend to end up at for food or a drink and some bites. The food is okay..nothing over the top but hits the spot... There are plenty of screens to watch games on no matter where you sit. Parking is plentiful

Bri B.

Yelp
If you want to feel welcome, have a cold one, and relax, this place does the trick! Paul and Frank know their bartending well. Clientele is friendly and open. Short rib sliders are delicious. Best Friday after work stop I've made in a long time. Excellent service.

Matthew H.

Yelp
I've been to a lot of Irish pubs. Boston, Chicago, NYC, La, San Diego, Dublin, Belfast... All a little seedy and a lot of fun. This one was overrun by hippies. No joke. 60+, tie (tye?) Dyed shirts, dancing to a love band of other hippies (also 60+ in tie-dyed shirts), playing 60's and 70's music on acoustic guitars. I couldn't make this up if i tried. And i write this, the singer just sang something that started with "mother nature (something)" This hurts. I'm paying this tab and running, and suggest y'all do the same. Unless this is for you. Then have at.

Lorraine M.

Yelp
We went to McGees Bar and Grill tonight and we had the ribs corn and potato salad it was the bomb it was so good I highly recommend it this is Lorraine Martin and Steve OlsenAll good

Matthew G.

Yelp
It's the place to be if you want to grab a drink after work. Decent location with a parking lot nearby. A restaurant and a bar, but very similar ambiance for both. In order words, there will be times at which you might have to shout across the table to have a conversation. The food was pretty good. I ordered corned beef sandwich with a side of potatoes for St. Patty's day. I also got the homestyle fried chicken that people were recommending. Not bad at all. The chicken was the right amount of crispiness and flavor--not too salty, just the way I like it. The sandwich was enjoyable. I wish I had some mustard to go with it but everyone stole them, so I went with the Louisiana hot sauce and it complimented the sandwich pretty well. I like the service. The waiters were helpful and accommodating.

Tabari H.

Yelp
Had a great time after the alameda festival today. Stoped in to MCGEE's after the festival ended and we had the pleasure of meeting FRANKIE , our bartender. This dude is really a fun bartender. Great service and just a real , friendly and nice man. We grabbed a bite to eat and the kitchen staff, from the cooks to the cashier, provided, 5 star service. We had a great time... we will be back. Drop in and say hi to FRANKIE, the bartender.

Yelp
If you happen to find yourself in Alameda in search of a good meal and delicious beer do yourself a huge favor and get your ass to McGee's. Let's start with the basics. If you're not familiar with Alameda here's a heads up, parking on Park St is pretty impossible, ironically. But McGee's has that covered with a sizable parking lot. Might seem silly till you experience it. So pull right up and glide on in. Once inside you'll find an absolutely charming ambiance. This place ain't trying to be anything other than a bar. A good clean sturdy bar. Great customer service and a great choice of beers, including Pliny the Elder. This is also a great spot to find the ever sought after Pliny the Younger. The food here is definitely a step up from bar food. They offer excellent dishes regularly, I'm particularly fond of the short rib sliders, I nibble at them to make them last longer. Scrumptious! They also have a great rotation of specials. Never had a bad meal here. If you are looking fir good people, good food, great drinks and good vibes McGees is the spot fir you. See you soon McGee's! I miss you everyday.

Jean B.

Yelp
Went there to watch the Warriors game. Lots of TV screens; lots of Warriors fans! We only had beer but other people's food looked good. The fish and chips looked especially tasty. The bartender and servers were very attentive. Great place to just be around home team peeps! Parking: Street; meters. Ambiance: Homey; warm; cozy; casual. Lots of tables and long bar.

Kyana S.

Yelp
I just threw my boyfriend a surprise party at McGee's and they did a kick butt job with everything. The owners (Tim and Tracy) were super accommodating and got everything we discussed totally right. They let me come earlier to decorate and the staff was all amazing! Such a great family feel. I couldn't have been happier!

Veronica A.

Yelp
Came here on a Friday night and it was pretty dead. Seeing that this place had 4 stars on Yelp I still thought I'd still give it a shot. Ordered my signature drink (goose and cranberry) and it was pretty cheap. The drink tasted very watered down. There wasn't a hint of vodka, there was hardly any cran either....it was lots of ice and water? The service was aight, business friendly I'd say. Promptly walked out and went to find another bar.

Kathryn S.

Yelp
We ordered take out during Covid. We ordered a burger, salt and pepper wings, and chicken tenders. Food was excellent. Wings were crispy. Burger had seasoning. Food was ordered thru door dash and was actually warm when received. We will order from here again and look forward to going there in person when we can.

Jessica B.

Yelp
Went for the first time on St. Patrick's Day because they had green beer! But they ran out of the green beer pretty early (I think around 8ish). The place was packed when I got there around 730 but there was still room to stand and socialize with friends. Beer prices are decent. $5 for a cup of green beer, and about $6-7 each for a bottle of Blue Moon and Stella which seems to be average for bars in the area. Food comes out pretty fast as well, especially considering how busy they were. There are TVs everywhere playing whatever game is on.

Erika A.

Yelp
My partner came here for their fish and chips. BOMB. We ordered a couple of beers and watched the game. Plenty of seating and it was crowded at the bar. Fun place to hang out on Park!

Jenn N.

Yelp
We had an hour to kill between taking care of some business across the street and supporting a friend with a gig a couple of doors down. We needed fuel. We had the awkward plight of being dressed in full on 80's garb. The hubby had been to McGee's before and remembered it being pretty laid back. People stared but I can't really hold it against them. I was wearing a corset, arm warmers and a huge bow on my head. The burger was pretty good. The shoe string fries were ok. The house wine was surprisingly phenomenal.

Eric B.

Yelp
Today was my son's last day at his present school. This fall he will be attending classes in Portland, of which that decision was made after a long and heartfelt set of conversations with his mother and Gayle. I will miss being a full-time Dad and it was a bittersweet and tearful experience as we said our goodbyes to a fine group of teachers who had really made a difference in his education. After that, I was in the mood for a burger and a beer. Earlier, I had Yelped around Alameda and decided that McGee's Bar and Grill might be a good choice. And with the Alameda Market across the street, parking was not a problem. When we entered through the bar side of the establishment, I had some doubts about having my son in tow. However, there's ample seating further on and to the left. It also took some time to get properly oriented. First of all, this place is a little more darkly lit than I'm used to. Second, although there is table service for drinks, you have to order your food from the counter. While there, you hand your credit card over for your food order to be rung up. The card is then handed over to the drink waiter, who will then run and present your entire bill. The system worked, but I'm still not sure I fully understand the logic. At the same time, the waitress was friendly, helpful, patient, and best of all, kind to my son. I ordered the Juicy Lucy burger and they weren't kidding. The cheese is inside and the first bite had the juice flying all over the place, including the front of my shirt. But boy was it delicious! I gobbled up every bite and drip and than included sopping some of it up with some very tasty fries. And everything went well with a good and hoppy pint of Racer IPA. My son also very much enjoyed his cheeseburger sliders, some of my fries, and 2 full glasses or root beer. In between, we looked at some memories of his school year. That included the Year Book and "goodbye and good luck" card signed by many, and a special picture album from the school that included a few heartfelt notes from his talented teachers. It was a great time for this father and son to spend some quality time together.

Libby T.

Yelp
I personally thanked the chef. Do I need to go on? Ok, so be it. After todays Yelp even in Alameda, my husband and I Yelped local hot spots for a relaxing bite (and to watch some of the game) before we left town. Score! From the moment we walked in, you could smell goodness. Really good goodness, and the staff were extremely inviting and warm. We made our choices quickly, not thinking anything extraordinary would come of a tuna melt or a turkey salad sandwich. Wrong. The presentation was beautiful, true art. The taste was out of this world, incomparable to anything I have had in a long time. It was everything I didn't expect to find at a pub. I would honestly make the trip back to Alameda, just for the food. I recommend you try it for yourself. In addition, Unlike many of the downtown eateries and shops, this location has dedicated parking. Big plus.

Steve N.

Yelp
McGee's is a well known spot right on the main drag known as Park St on the island. Have you been there? Read your Yelp reviews people. They are there to help us all. The burger was good, the beer was fine. The house Cab was unexpectedly good. The club sandwich was blah. The shoe string fries were pretty good. The self-serve water/ice was nice. The restroom smelled. The band was setting up and I knew it was going to be loud. The clientele made me feel young again. The place was very clean and the decor was sensible. Plenty of sports televisions were viewable from most seats. The dark woods mixed with the cool reds and greens nicely for a touch of richness on the walls. How do you sum up McGee's Bar & Grill? I don't know. Jessica P wrote "Shady Pines in Alameda" which is a hysterically vivid picture of this place. I use to work with a guy that was regular here, and he loved it. We had lunch here about 5 years ago, and I don't remember the crowd too well. However, this Saturday night revealed this place is mellow enough for the young at heart along with the salt & pepper haired early bird special types.

Joanne M.

Yelp
Fun place, good food! I really enjoyed today's lamb stew special! The burgers and cheeseburger sliders were also well liked at our table.

Wendy A M.

Yelp
Happy St Patrick's Day 2020... Thank You Gina Mariani for dinner...Corned Beef/Cabbage complete meal from McGee's...by the way DELICIOUS...you still have time to take out...Keep up the great food service!!!! We will get thru this mania together...Wendy&Mario Mariani

Melinda Y.

Yelp
Not your typical pub... At first glance, it was perplexing which of the 3 doors to open...like a game show! hahaha....gotta open the right door! JK only the middle door is not functional...me thinks. One side is bar; the other side is the sit-down area. They're connected. You go to the counter on the left side of the establishment to order and pay. There's a menu and also a chalkboard of specials to choose from. Other than your usual bar fare, there's also gyro, pizza, and fried chicken. You'll be given a number to be taken to your table of choice. A waitress does come over to the table, once you're seated, to take your drink orders. I had my heart set on the paella that I saw in one of the photos from a Yelp reviewer. Alas, it was no longer available. Sad face. I went with the fish and chips since I've been craving it for days but bad for heartburn. It was a pleasant surprise that nothing was overly greasy. Not the fried mushrooms nor the fish. They were scrumptious. Cannot stop eating because the food was that good. There were a few items that was out and not available, like the fried zucchini and some sandwich. The place wasn't too packed at 7:30 or so. I liked how it wasn't dark like a cave. They turned up the music later...country. There were TVs everywhere so you won't miss your sporting events. The parking lot was already full when we got there.

Art O.

Yelp
I really liked the service at the bar. Super friendly bartender. I came in in the mid afternoon and she was very welcoming. I ordered a Guinness and chilled for a bit. I looked over an saw they had a restaurant on the other side of the bar was a restaurant so I decided to try some of their food. The bartender told me I had to order over there but they'd bring my food to me. So far so good. But when I went to order, there was a written sign with "Today's Specials" taped next to where you order. I saw they had steak quesadillas on the sign and asked how much it cost since there were no prices. The dude behind the counter with glasses told me in a super condescending voice that they didn't have that and that sign was from the day before! Well why didn't you take it down, asshole?! Like, no apology for having the confusing sign up - like I was a jerk for just asking. I was about to sit down after that but I was hungry. I ordered the sliders and then the smart ass dude asked me what kind. On the menu there was only one type so I don't know what the hell he was talking about. And again, he said it in a condescending way. Ok, I'll wrap it up since I'm getting pissed thinking about this. Long story short, the sliders were all right but slightly bigger than of a silver dollar and there were 3 for $12. The side of potato salad was way too chunky and bland. Anyway, if I ever come back, it'd be to have a drink at the bar.

Tom H.

Yelp
Wow -- it took more than an hour to get a burnt Reuben sandwich from this place. Then the meat was tough and salty. COVID or no COVID, I'll never order from here again.

Eddie W.

Yelp
Plenty of space towards the back for larger groups A more narrowed focus of draft beers + full bar Forgot the name but they have some traditional Irish beers that are hard to come by Friendly service Overall Thoughts Towards the tail end of Park Avenue but well worth the trip to start the night or end it

Kim C.

Yelp
I like watching football here, especially early games. Great menu. Impeccable service. Fun atmosphere. The owner and staff are always warm and inviting. Great spot. Oh, and don't forget the patio!

Christian A.

Yelp
McGee's is a "go to" spot of mines for A's and Warrior games. Friendly and "on point" waiting staff and the food is high end bar food. I've almost everything on the menu from the wings, sliders, mozzarella sticks, and fried chicken dinner. Never had an issue with the quality and taste of the food. They also have a great happy hour menu with balling on a budget pricing.

Isabelle L.

Yelp
I was surprise the food is really good here . You will not think bar food or food from a pub is good . I have the fish and chip and it was yummy . I love the fries too. We have a few drinks and it was a nice place yo hang out and watch basketball game

Elaine G.

Yelp
Great 80's music!!!! I love the Irish vibe, the wonderful lady behind the bar made me a high quality michelada for 5$. That is unheard of. The crowd is mixed old young and really old . Hahaha. Good times Minus one star because it's CASH ONLY. Boo.

Aaron H.

Yelp
Was looking for a good place to watch the Giants & the Niner's. Found this spot on a Sunday and I'm 100% sure I'll be back. The bar staff are extremely friendly and they have great drink specials all under $5 bucks. You can order pub food in the back; I had the chicken tenders with fries $8. It was a perfect Sunday afternoon thanks to McGee's

Kate S.

Yelp
Shoutout to McGee's for a consistently great experience. Today's NFL Sunday, the owner tried to accommodate a group of soccer fans. He checked with the NFL-watchers at each TV to see if he could find somewhere to show their game. He ultimately couldn't find an open spot, but provided suggestions as to other bars where the group may be able to catch the soccer game. Love patronizing a bar that clearly cares about taking care of ALL customers--from newbies to regulars. Also, great food, drinks, and wonderful bartenders and service.

Patrick S.

Yelp
Friendly pub environment, a great place for some hearty food (especially if you're looking for a spot to watch sports). Beer selection is just fine with a few craft brews on rotation at all times, though not an enormous selection. Also quite kid accommodating with jukebox, family environment, and a few games. Kids friendly meals like fried chicken or sliders were hits, also had home made coloring kits. Note table service is for drinks, head to the back and get your food order in if you are so inclined. They will call your name when the order is up.

Yelp
Came by with Kevin J. and a few other friends to kick back and catch up and McGee's fit the bill perfectly. Arriving just before last call for the kitchen, we picked up a selection of fries, guac & chips and mozzarella sticks for light noms. Fries were passable, but the chips were freshly made and quite good. The atmosphere was very lively especially for a weeknight with sports and beers all around. The noise level could've been better, but still manageable for conversation. Wouldn't mind coming back if I needed a place to chill with friends in the area.
