"A local favorite since 2006, Silver Spring’s resident Irish pub slings Guinness on tap, a popular brunch spread, and traditional classics like a cabbage and potato casserole with leeks and Irish cheddar, bangers and mash, beef stew, shepherd’s pie, and corned beef and cabbage." - Tierney Plumb, Missy Frederick

Food was a bit on the pricey side for what you get. There’s two floors — upstairs if you want live music and rowdy atmosphere and downstairs if you want to be able to talk with your friends and actually hear them.

The beer was cold and the French fries were good. The staff was friendly but they were understaffed and service was slow. The crab Benedict was a 4 out of five. My boyfriend's breakfast sandwich was 3 out of 5. The lady in the next booth really liked the Irish breakfast. The restroom was clean.

Lively atmosphere. TV's are a decent size to watch soccer. Friendly staff. The Irish breakfast was pretty good. They use real rashers not American bacon. Only problem was that they served uncooked pancakes twice:-( Grateful the manager (?) Was able to wait in the kitchen till a good batch was done.

First time trying out this place for brunch and it was surprisingly delicious!!! I have not been to a pub house and want to come back for food yet. But I will come back for more food from this place. The fish and chips was on point! Just as good (maybe even better than) as the one I had in London few years ago. When I crave for fish and chips in the future, I will come visit here again. Beside fish n chips, I also love the perfectly cooked steak and eggs (love the sauce), the green Shashouka, the date cake and the lemon tart!!! Everything else was also delicious but those are my favorites and I will come back for them again! Make sure you call them before coming, ask if Chef Nico is there on that day. He will make sure you get your food right! 🥰

We visited for the first time tonight - 10/10. Service and food were great and we were completely delighted with The Remedy. They kept us on our feet the whole night and we’d 100% come back to see them again.

Despite being my favorite Club Sandwich destination, a recent trip left me tongue in cheek. The regular waitress, full of energy and enthusiasm, took our orders. One of us wanted us unable to eat the sandwich with the yoke dripping. A new waitress says, “we could change it for you, if you like.” She takes the plate away and about 15 minutes later and new plate is brought, this time the eggs are well done, with no dripping yoke. When the check was brought, not only was the replacement charged, but the waitress with green-rim lens insisted to our utter amazement that she had served a second drink, when all she did was remove a glass from our table. It’s sad to get such treatment in places you have so much hope in, especially when customers are left helpless.

Pretty big Irish pub with live music. Good food & beer selection. Recommend chicken wings to pair with draft beer (try Narragansett). Prices are reasonable for DMV.

Yelp
I only had the fries in terms of food, but it was good and came out insanely fast. Atmosphere wise it was a loud trivia night but it's been fun to play trivia and interact! The service is also great!

Yelp
Think Twice: Getting there one has to deal with people smoking dope and skateboarders. The first floor was full at 6:45 and, because I had a cane and couldn't take the stairs and the elevator was broken we were told to enter the second floor through the mall with several darkened storefronts. The entry was fine. The ambiance truly Irish. there we're only high tops with no backs to chairs. Menu fine, beers fine. Unfortunately there was a band attempting to do sound checks for their 7:00 start. Sound checks included screeching feed back, resounding symbols dropped on live mikes multiple times and a constant "check one, check one, check, check" from 6:50 to 7:50 when we were able to get our check and get out of there. Burgers were good, fish and chips passable and Shepherds pie like I've never seen before. Waitress was very nice and helpful in the midst of this odd experience. As we attempted to leave we were ushered back by police due to shoplifting and fist fights by locals. much of the above is understandably not the fault of the establishment but you can guarantee the next time I'm in .silver .spring I won't be running here.

Yelp
If you did not know this was an Irish bar, you definitely will know within seconds upon entering McGinty's. The two level bar/restaurant is HUGE and has all of the typical pub food that everyone will enjoy. Also, McGinty's has a half off burger deal on Tuesdays. Be aware that the deal is only available in the upstairs portion of the pub. Overall, I thought my cheeseburger was pretty delicious. Also, the food came out very fast and hot, which was great because I had another engagement right after dinner. From my one-time experience with the burger deal, you might want to order your burger a bit rarer than normal. While I requested a medium burger, it arrived well done; however, it was not too big of a deal at the time. *A regular at the bar informed me that the fish n chips are pretty amazing.* I guess I should put that on the list for my next visit. The part of the review that might not be so pleasant. While the bartender in the downstairs bar was pretty nice (she is the one who told me about the half off burger deal upstairs), the bartender upstairs was not the friendliest. I found him to be short (but not outright rude) with several customers. At times, he seemed to be annoyed when folks requested things from him (e.g., drinks, condiments, and silverware). Perhaps, the bartender was having a bad day or maybe that's just his personality.

Yelp
McGinty's has a lot of space and has been great for hosting socials. I appreciate that they try to keep events throughout the week. The food has overall been good and better than expected from a seemingly pub bar. The wait staff have been attentive and pleasant.

Libby F.

Yelp
It's been way too long since I've been here for happy hour. Still have the great deals, only $1.00 more now ($6). Still a great deal for the best fish & chips in the area. I especially love the dipping sauce and the malt vinegar on the table. We also had shishito peppers ($6.50) with a dipping sauce. First time for my friend and she loved them. I liked theirs, but they are a bit oily. I do mine in the air fryer. At least they are cheaper here than other places and you get a lot. I had a cosmo (also $6), and my pal had a Smithwicks draft ($5). She enjoyed it. I need to come back more often. Montgomery County's new parking regulations stink. It costs so much more, especially when you are required to prepay in the nearby garages ($1.25/hr).

Yelp
One day they will break these reviews down by category. Until then I will. Food "Surprisingly good" lol. That was my thought as I walked out. I went here for a networking meetup and ended up eating at the bar with two other ladies. I ordered the tuna tartar from the appetizer menu and then the Reuben and fries and the tiramisu to go. Tuna tartar was delicious. Nice and fresh and it had a balsamic sauce or reduction that was delicious. Garlic for the crostini would go a long way but I cleaned my plate it was so good. This item was on the weekly specials menu so if it's not there when you go I'm so sorry! The Reuben and fries was again a healthy portion. Fries were crunchy outside soft inside. Haven't tried the Reuben yet (will edit) but it's a nice big sandwich with plenty of sauce. Acquaintances ordered the bean burger and tots. She finished it so it mush have been good! Burger was also a healthy portion so it had to have been filling. Other lady ordered the fish and chips and sweet potatoe fries. Also a healthy portion or fish and fries. She needed to add quite a bit of seasoning. I took the tiramisu home because as greedy as I was ordering, I was so so full. Chilled the tiramisu before trying it and one bite in Im not a fan. I like authentic tiramisu flavors but this was just not that. Not a good dessert at all. Will try again tomorrow and edit if needed. Service was great. The place was EMPTY but I've been in empty spots where the service was still bad. The bartender was super nice and made nice conversation and everyone on the way in was also pretty friendly. Ambiance. . didn't I say the place was EMPTY? Well damn near anyway...more tables were empty that full. I mean it is very Irish pub-ish and they have a great open space upstairs but all that space for so few people. A few more people were hanging out downstairs and in the outdoor dining area. If you made it this far I have to mention a note on the location. McGinty's is on the blocked off street in Downtown Silver Spring. Park in the Wayne Street garage and when you come out the tunnel it is on you right across from Nike, so it's not IN the mall. You're welcome. The two ladies that joined had trouble locating it and one of them was born and raised in the DMV!

Yelp
**Title: A Learning Experience at McGinty's Pub** --- I recently visited McGinty's Pub with my kids, and while I usually have a great time there, this visit had a few hiccups. We chose to sit in a booth, and our server promptly took our kids' orders. When it came to my turn, I requested a starter and asked for some time to decide on my main course. However, I didn't realize that I needed to specify that the starter should come before the entree. When our food arrived all at once, I politely declined the appetizer since my main course was already in front of me. The gentleman who brought our food graciously took it back. Unfortunately, I overheard our server expressing frustration about our order behind us. In hindsight, I understand that I should have communicated my preference more clearly. Despite this hiccup, I appreciate the overall experience at McGinty's Pub and look forward to returning. I understand the importance of constructive feedback, and I hope this review helps the staff enhance their service. --

Yelp
We took a walk through Rock Creek Park and ended up near Silver Spring in early evening so decided to go a bit further towards the center and find a place for dinner. MacGinty's is located in the middle of the pedestrian section of downtown. It's a small pub and the inside bar/dining room is dimly lit in classic pub fashion and has an assortment of a few high, low and booth tables. There is a very nice outdoor section partitioned with high clear plastic panels from the sidewalk so it feels well shielded but airy and open. We were craving for some fish and chips and had definitely come to the right place. It was a very generous portion of chunky crispy fish with an even more generous pile of tasty fries. I got to take almost half of mine home and had the leftovers for lunch the next day (great value for $19.99).

Yelp
I love, love, love McGinty's! I have been coming here for 15 years and have always enjoyed it! The Irish pub ambiance is really legitimate and it takes me right back to my ancestral motherland. Their cuisine is outstanding as they have the best Irish food, and also some other dishes with an adventurous twist. Their Irish Breakfast is top notch, especially with their Irish rashers/bacon and dinner options are delectable!

Jeneane B.

Yelp
We have come here for weekend brunch and for dinner with family. They have good food, great service, and a good whiskey selection Brunch: Hubby got eggs, corned beef hash, potatoes, and rye toast. He enjoyed everything on the plate! I had the fried chicken sandwich, which was good but not the best. The "pickles" weren't picked enough, and the chicken was a bit too big for the bun, but yummy. Dinner: My dad got the fish and chips and said both were really good. I had the corned beef burger, and it was so unique and unctuous! It sits a little heavy, but I'd definitely get it again.

Michael M.

Yelp
McGinty's remains one of my favorite restaurants in Silver Spring. In my recent visit I ordered a rosemary flat bread special and fish and chips. The bread arrived hot and was tasty. The fish and chips is still the generous portion that I remember from my last visit. It also arrived piping hot and the sauces were excellent. The only slight negative was that the service was not that attentive, but this is a pub and it was a weeknight

Ja'Nya J.

Yelp
I loved the food, especially the Zinfandel pasta it was packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. The wings could have been more on the crispy side but nonetheless it was pretty decent. I will definitely be coming back to this place.

Jamie B.

Yelp
Standard pub with a bit of a dive bar feel. They have a great happy hour (3-6) with a decent sized fish and chips or chicken fingers among other options. It's good comfort food with a standard beer selection. Y There's a downstairs with two small booths and a large upstairs. Plenty of TVS to watch and enjoy. They have public Wi-Fi but didn't work for me.

Kathleen D.

Yelp
Our group arrived buzzing after a concert nearby at The Fillmore. They were within an hour of closing, as they don't stay open very late on weeknights, but we had time for one round. I ordered the blueberry lemonade. It was tasty! I just couldn't finish it. I ended up giving my boyfriend the muddled blueberries and shared the rest with others in the group. This is a typical pub environment. Nothing fancy, nothing grimy. Bathroom was clean. A good stop for sure in Silver Spring.

Cimiya D.

Yelp
a hometown fave! the bartenders are always welcoming and the vibes give you a feel local nostalgia

Anye S.

Yelp
Bad Anye for not reviewing before. I must have just thought I'd done it and then not even considered it any of the metric gazillion** times I've been here. **numbers may be exaggerated. So I'm really boring, because the first time I came here for an actual meal, I found something I really like and I have ordered it every time I have come. I love the Irish club. And I don't usually get excited about sandwiches, but I love this sandwich. When I'm being good (usually) I get it with caesar salad and take half the sandwich home for leftovers. When I'm not being good (sometimes) I order it with fries and I eat the whole thing and waddle back to the bus. What has varied on my copious number of visits is what I've had to drink and what I've had for dessert. Unfortunately, since dessert comes after drinks, and I'm a lightweight, I'm not sure I remember EVERYTHING I've ever had for dessert. But the first time I came here we'd had dinner somewhere else and I ordered a cocktail and a piece of cake that was amazing, I think it was either flourless chocolate or lava or something really intense that way. I feel like I've had other desserts as well but see aforementioned booze-inhibited memory. As far as the booze goes, I've generally liked all the cocktails I've gotten. They have a handful that are sweet enough for me. They had a special last time that had kahlua and baileys and other things that tasted pretty much like I expected and made me warm on the inside like I needed. That visit was actually the first time I dined inside here, usually we eat on the patio but Winter Came. I can't wait for patio season again. And now I want an Irish club, which is inconvenient because hubby is making me some sous vide steak with Old Bay tonight, which Guga said was amazing... so I'll have to wait for the Irish club. Anyway, I'm not sure why the reviews here are mediocre. We've always had at least decent service and great food. One of my favorite date night places in DTSS. My husband is a huge fan of their fish and chips and I believe also enjoyed the shepherd's pie which may or may not have been actual shepherd's pie because I can't remember if they make it with lamb or not.

Jadyn M.

Yelp
We went here for brunch and it was delicious! The service was prompt and polite and the food came out quickly. The traditional Irish food was good, I had never had Irish bacon but it came on my eggs Benedict and I enjoyed it. The coffee was good as well.

Frank V.

Yelp
McGinty's is a local watering hole in downtown silver springs. Big enough for large groups of friends yet still feels intimate. Excellent and attentive bartender and a pretty gnarly beer selection. They also opened late at night, which is perfect for Any schedule. I love there's wings, and I will definitely come back.

Paula A.

Yelp
After a concert a bunch of us went to eat and order some drinks the hostess was cleaning a table. We approached the bar and my friend asked the bartender for a miller light. He was cleaning a glass and said to my friend, "I didn't ask.". I was so shocked at his response that I told the hostess about how rude that was. We ended up leaving. Horrible experience.

Erin F.

Yelp
Great food and drinks. This is my favorite Happy Hour/Dinner out spot in DTSS. The TVs at the bar are great for watching sports

Barbara H.

Yelp
Hadn't been to McGinty in quite a while since moving away...was very pleased with out food, service and great value at brunch tody!

Cookie B.

Yelp
Always a good time at McGintys. The fish & chips were delicious! Service was great & its a cool relaxing setting with trivia nights & a live band on certain nights. Check them out!

Dave C.

Yelp
Great stop for me and a couple buddies. Comfortable Irish pub with very friendly staff! The owner even spent some time with us sharing a story or two about the old country.! I had the Shepherds Pie and it was delicious. My friends had the Reuben and the lasagna, both were fantastic. Enjoyed the atmosphere, good bar with great staff.

Erica S.

Yelp
We enjoyed sitting outside and getting the fried pickle appetizer as well as the shephards pie and salmon! They were large portions and delicious. It can be a little noisy sitting outside in Ellsworth plaza on a weekend but its still nice.

Alisha B.

Yelp
Great Pub to watch football and meet some new friends. While watching the game , I decided to order a burger ( which was cooked to perfection ) and fries. I will be back!

Jean R.

Yelp
First time for me at this restaurant for a catered retirement get together. Food buffet was excellent, fresh fruit, Thai chicken, shepherds pie, Brie/apple h'orsderves, pita/hummus, deviled eggs were all excellent. I didn't try the falafel or grilled vegetables, or desserts. Lovely set up for a private party on the second floor. Drinks were served individually. Parking was available in nearby parking garage. Service was good.

Leanne L.

Yelp
My first time trying McGinty's brunch. So many good dishes made it hard to choose. I finally decided on the Irish Eggs Benedict with an Apple Cider Mule pairing, and was very happy with my choice. I definately will be back to try the other dishes. Thank you McGinty's for a wonderful dining experience.

Camacho S.

Yelp
Great food & beer, awesome live events, attentive & accommodating staff, frankly you can't visit downtown silver spring without giving this place a visit

Angel U.

Yelp
Went last Sunday night to watch the NFL playoffs with two of my dear friends l. Great restaurants and authentic menu with some MD influences you can tell people love coming here. And the service is solid very well priced. Cozy bar both upstairs and downstairs, A lot of parking too which is cool. This time around Down was ours bartender he was very friendly and cool. I will definitely keep coming back good time.

Nate S.

Yelp
Decent wings on wing night. Pretty chill place to grab a bite and read the news or write an email after work.

Medinat I-Kokoe A.

Yelp
Back again to share my experience with my mom! Best fish and chip. Like said before live music upstairs. A great place to meet new ppl and sit back and watch spots; they usually have a tv on with basketball, soccer, and football. Regulars and new ppl meet and it just happens so smoothly!!! Downstairs is the bar and seating and there is an outside patio but upstairs is where all the action is with band. We got shepherds pie and Guinness beef stew to go!

Kylie S.

Yelp
The food is solid. The group I came with loved the huge array of choices. The Irish Benedict was ok, the steak and eggs were delicious, the mushroom soup was delicious, the corned beef hash with poached eggs, pretty good. They didn't tell us ahead of time that if we wanted separate checks we needed to ask ahead of time--that seems like a poor customer service policy. We did love the outdoor seating, especially that they were able to put two tables together. All in all, I'd come again. The food is pretty decent and the atmosphere pleasant.

Nick B.

Yelp
This was the most bizarre experience. From the moment we walked in the door the Host had an upset face and didn't greet us whatsoever. When he came by to take our order, he did so clearly angrily so I decided that it was probably not in my best interest to actually ingest the food at this establishment. Upon asking the same host / waiter to cancel the food order and only get drinks less than 60 seconds later he says "the order is already in the kitchen" and starts shouting at me from across the restaurant. I don't always frequent this area, I am glad for that but good lord I haven't seen any worse than Mcginty's Pub House.

Queen B.

Yelp
I enjoy the simplicity and the pub feel when I go to this place for tasty burger and fries!

Whitney L.

Yelp
Went by for the first time in February to McGinty's for some drinks with a friend. They for sure have a great beer selection and a decent menu of different bar foods at a relatively reasonable price. We didn't order any food but the menu is definitely cohesive to the Irish theme. We went on a Tuesday evening at around 8:30 PM and the restaurant was fairly busy. When you walk in, you're greeted by a host who offers you the choice of ground level seating or upstairs. We chose to go upstairs as there were more booths and space available. As we proceeded to climb, we heard live music that resembled that of Irish or Scottish descent. We found out that every Tuesday evening, a group of musicians gather to rehearse their music together. It's quite nice as it fits the theme of the restaurant. Our waitress was friendly and attentive and I had a good time having a few drinks before heading over to the movies across the restaurant. Would definitely like to come back and try some of their food next time.

Paula M.

Yelp
I've been to McGinty's many times over the years. This past Saturday was the first time I was not too happy with the service we received. When we first sat at the bar, the bartender never even made a hand gesture to acknowledge us. It wasn't even busy. The other bartender came eventually, he was polite but I don't know if he doesn't know his drinks, or he just doesn't care. My friend and I ordered Long Island ice tea's, I'm not sure what we received. I don't think it even had any alcohol. Anyway it tasted like lime juice from a squeeze bottle and looked like pineapple juice but certainly didn't taste like that either. I called for him because I thought he accidentally gave us the wrong drink but he argued that he gave us what we asked for. I showed him a picture and he still insisted that he made Long Island's. At that point I felt he was just being a douche and requested another drink. The yellow drink is one of the Long Island's he made and the little cup is what he replaced it with. I have never drank a yellow Long Island

Rachel E.

Yelp
Nice cute little Irish Pub to hang out before or after a concert at the Fillmore. Food was delicious! Had a traditional Irish Entree. Loved the sausage and mashed potatoes!

Corey L.

Yelp
Great service! Great Burger! Had no issue with take out moving vastly & it was hot! Great place to eat when enjoying a show at the Fillmore before or afterwards

Jay B.

Yelp
Solid four star Irish Pub in Silver Springs shopping mall. Wings and onion rings were acceptable. The beer list was not bad, and the service made it all good.

Christopher B.

Yelp
Nice Irish pub atmosphere, good menu, decent service. All in all I have no complaints, nor anything to rave about. We sat in the bar area, promptly greeted and seated. It took longer than desired for someone to check in with us for drinks and apps, but once the bartender did, he was great. He made a couple of good drink recommendations and was very accommodating. The food came out fairly quick. Presentation was nice but, it was average bar food at best. This is a cool place for drinks and pub grub -- deep fried apps or burgers and fries. Definitely a good spot if you are looking to fill time before a concert at the Fillmore or just have an hour or so to kill. Irish specialties sounded good. Stew was decent. Prices for dinner entrees and some specialties were a little steep

Michael D.

Yelp
Their burgers are awesome!!! The Four of us got burgers and loved them. The service was great and enjoyed the atmosphere.

Carroll N.

Yelp
My husband and I came here to meet up with our niece and her bf on a rainy Sunday evening. Our server was personable and attentive. He came to check on us frequently to replenish the drinks for the table. I didn't drink so can't comment on them. We ordered several appetizers including the turkey chili and wings. We thought the chili was going to be a soup, but it was served more like a dip with cheese on top and a side of nachos. My husband liked the flavor. The wings had decent flavor, but was a bit dry to me. I ordered the fish and chips at my husband's recommendations and loved it! The fish batter was crispy and crunchy. It may just be among the best fried fish I've ever had. My husband ordered the corned beef which was tasty too. Great service, ambience, food, and I'm sure drinks based on how many my crew ordered! I would come back for the fish and chips.

Kenneth K.

Yelp
I have been to McGinty's many times. Their brunch and lunch are a great deal as is their happy hour. Unfortunately happy hour is now discontinued which I suppose is due to the pandemic. All their food is excellent. The costs are somewhat pricy for dinner, but not terrible. Previously my friend has made reservations for a larger group of friends twice but their system did not have it in. They have managed to seat us though and hopefully this issue been resolved. We last went last week to celebrate me being cancer free and chose to sit at the bar. First time sitting at a bar since the pandemic started and it was not too bad since people were distancing. Not all of the staff wears masks, and I think with the Delta variant that maybe should change but I won't hold it against them yet as long as they are fully vaccinated. We ordered the Strawberry Gazpacho, Roasted Beet Salad, Fish and Chips, and Chocolate Moose for desert. They let us try samples of the beer on draft and we chose to have Crooked Crab Furious George on draft, Calvert I Just Crush A Lot in can, and a bottle of Guinness Extra to pair with dessert. The food was great and the bill turned out to be nearly 65 bucks before tip, which was a little high, but we've and drank a bit more here a couple years ago and the bill was closer to 100. We will return, especially for brunch or lunch when the costs are more affordable and for dinner on occasion.

Katlyn E.

Yelp
Went here for lunch/brunch with friends. Loved Guinness on tap, the mango refresher was tasty (drank this as a sort of pseudo-mimosa for brunch). I loved my fish and chips - the haddock was cooked well, batter was perfectly crunchy and light, fries were excellent. The Irish benedict was good. Brunch burger was OK - the sauce was a bit much, very messy to eat between the onion jam, aioli, and egg. Tasty neighborhood pub.

Curtis V.

Yelp
The service was not that good and Jeremy our server was absolutely rude. He didn't bother to be courteous as our groups was dividing up the bill. Do not bother if Jeremy is your server. He turned a joyous occasion of fellowship into a disappointing event.

Amalia C.

Yelp
I'm so glad our favorite Irish pub survived COVID. The food is really outstanding - I ordered the salmon with roasted veggies and mashed potatoes - perfectly seared and so flavorful. They didn't have my hubby's fave - Irish breakfast, which he likes to get at dinner so hopefully they bring it back for the dinner menu as they start to integrate more dishes back into their menus. But no worries, he got the bangers and mash. We usually like to sit in the booths upstairs, it's the perfect place to unwind after work. And service was superb and my Pink Peach cocktail was delicious.

Matt B.

Yelp
Wings are always consistent and quick. I think these are a double deep fry where they add their own seasoning to them. Taste good and fall right off the bone. Worth a try if you are in the silver spring area or especially during happy hour

Krissia M.

Yelp
Such an underrated restaurant in Silver Spring! One of our favorite places for brunch. Classic Irish fare as well as a variety of entrees that always have some unique or interesting spin or ingredient to it e.g. their avocado toast with tomato jam and black sesame seeds. Our favorite brunch item is the banana custard French toast. The interior and exterior aren't much to look at - but then again its exactly what you would expect a divey Irish pub to be like. I've actually been to Ireland and interestingly enough I like their fish and chips here better. Highly recommend! They've got some interesting chef specials occasionally that rival more high end steak restaurants.

Quijana B.

Yelp
My boy and I seem to have a routine. 1. He craves Shepherd's pie 2. We head to McGinty's. Though McGinty's does not serve the most amazing food in the area it is one of the longest lasting restaurants. They have enough of a niche in Silver Spring to hold a regular customer base. I'm guessing that like my boy and me, the regular customers order the same dish over and over. I'd even guess that most of them order the same things that we order- the shepherd's pie and the fish and chips. There are a few other Irish specialties that I'm guessing also are on the top of the ordered items. The fish and chips- my regular order- is delicious, and is offered all day long. Crunchy exterior and tender interior is all one could hold to have, and the fries are tasty. The boy approves of the Shepherd's pie, and I appreciate the side of steamed vegetables in garlic butter. I've recently tried their chickpea burger, which is served with two types of spreadable cheese, onions, and arugula. It was a nice enough lunch for $10, but the patty was almost completely unseasoned, and was too similar in texture with the bun. I'd gladly order it again, but without the bread. I will gift you with one tip. If you are ordering from the lunch specials be sure to mention them. We did not today and were presented with the dinner portion. The price difference between lunch and dinner is $5, and there's no real difference in portion sizes, so it's worth your time and money.

Whoever gave this place less than 5 stars have never had the shepherd's pie. Wait staff couldn't be nicer. Love it.
