McKinnon’s Market & Super Butcher Shop

McKinnon’s Butcher Shop in Danvers is absolutely top-notch. The quality of the meat is outstanding, the shop is always clean and well run, and the staff really knows their stuff. I get a roast for Christmas every single year, and it has never disappointed — always fresh, perfectly trimmed, and incredibly flavorful. You can tell they take pride in what they do. This is the kind of local butcher that’s getting harder to find, and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Highly recommend!

I went to this store today got a 9lb. Smoked shoulder and mini slider burgers. The women at the register put the shoulder on top of the mini sliders so now I have. 7 of the 10 mini sliders

This review is for the catering team! We’ve used McKinnon’s catering twice this year, once for a baby shower and again for Thanksgiving. We really cannot recommend it he food enough for quality, quantity, and affordability. Everyone raved about the chicken parm, meatballs, and broccoli alfredo for the shower. The salads were MASSIVE and came with dressings and croutons. The desserts flew off the tray. And the Thanksgiving meal was incredible from the turkey to the sides. The staff is so helpful in figuring out quantities, so if you’re not sure what to order (and how much) they can help. And you seriously cannot beat the price! We got quotes from several places. If you’re hosting a party and want awesome food everyone will love, work with the catering staff at McKinnon’s in Portsmouth!

A little pricey but your definitely paying for quality! For a last min dinner or some shopping it's a great place with amazing pre made food and super easy to get in find a spot do some quick shopping

Good options for meats and deli. There is also a good selection of beer, wine, fruits and veggies.

We ordered a special cut of meat for our holiday meal, and McKinnons delivered! Our traditional german rouladen supper was excellent. Highly recommend.

Good quality grocer with very reasonable prices. They offer a surprisingly wide variety of goods considering the compact size of the store. The only flaw for me is that they sometimes struggle to keep items consistently stocked (some weeks, no cilantro, other weeks no kalamata olives, etc).

I went for my annual stock up on smoked turkey legs and found smoked wings as well. I get these every year and they're incredible. Also since Thanksgiving was just me and mom, the premades were really appreciated. Great service, well stocked store, so happy I found their Danvers location.
