McSorley’s Beach Pub & Rooftop

Hi guys if you like quiet place this is the perfect place. You can drink and talk with your friends. They have outdoor spaces indoor too and beautiful rooftop and specially if you like Reggie music, they play a lot. I love this place so far. they have also the kitchen, but I didn’t eat yet so no comment for that. 💝

My experience with this restaurant has been a tale of two visits. The first time I went, I was honestly quite disappointed. The service was slow, the staff seemed disinterested, and overall, I left feeling let down and unsure if I’d return.However, I decided to give it another chance — and I’m glad I did. On my second visit, everything was completely different. The staff were friendly and attentive, the food came out on time, and the atmosphere felt much more welcoming. It was a night-and-day difference compared to my first visit.It’s clear that either I caught them on a bad day the first time, or they’ve made real improvements since then. Either way, my second experience has definitely changed my opinion, and I’ll be happy to come back again.

Great little stop right across from the beach! Sidewalk seating, huge horseshoe bar, nice proprietary Ale and a Lager on tap. Upstairs has a great little stage and more seating. Should be bangin tomorrow for the Greenest day of the year! Enjoy. 🍻

They don’t give you fresh food. And the portions are outrageously small, be prepared to pay 20$+ and not even be full. Pretty much everything is store bought never fresh or homemade. Super overpriced. Definitely wouldn’t go again. Better off checking out any of the other spots right in the area! Pizza was really bad too. Just be warned. Also the waitress had a super rude attitude 2/10 experience.

ZEN sunrise over the ocean (rooftop open) with their new coffee shop managed by the coolest dude, pro barista, Cosmin! In the evening, experience the incredible rooftop with ocean views and breeze, great drinks, beers on tap, awesome food, fun music and the vibe is always a 10! The bartenders are awesome, friendly and welcoming. South Florida is dominated by poor service and here you will never experience it. Recommended 100%. Most important, on a full moon, you have to be on that roof top with a perfect view of the moon rising over the ocean. INCREDIBLE!

Fun! Little place. Went there once late afternoon for a pre-sporting event. Rooftop deck with nice view of the ocean, fun DJ who was playing '60s set, '70 set, 80 set right up the line. Stopped in for breakfast one day. Had authentic homemade bangers and mash. Excellent quality and surprisingly good coffee. There is an adjacent coffee shop and you can get all kinds of styles from simple coffee, lattes to a complete pour over. Also dropped in for lunch a different time. Just had some fish dip which was fresh, local and delicious. Great tentative staff!

The food was excellent, the beer ice cold, and the staff absolutely fantastic. This bar offers a great, lively atmosphere where friends and strangers alike come together for a nice time. The team clearly enjoys what they do, and their energy added a lot to the experience.

Awesome crowd, great vibes! Nice for beer and cocktail lovers alike! The Buffalo chicken flat bread was tasty too.

No wait time! We loved McSorley's! Our bartender was a whole vibe! He was nice and very welcoming. He kept us updated on our food order and drinks was made very good and tasty! We will definitely return when back in Fort Lauderdale.

We had a good lunch here. Service definitely could have been faster but they were definitely nice. Atmosphere was ok, outdoor cushions were wet, and we had to go inside to get someone's attention to wait on us.

The service was probably one of the worst customer service experiences I've had in south Florida (been here for 5 years). The server was very dismissive and had an attitude with my friends and I. Food was okay, nothing mind blowing.

Birthday drinks! They have unlimited bloody Mary's and mimosas! Blanca was amazing she made us feel at home and kept the drinks flowing. Hubby had the smoked fish dip and he said it was good. The bar was clean and comfy.

Love this place; good service; even better food. Greats vibes on the beach, good dj and singer, stopped here mid day and can't wait to come back

If there was a competition for best bartender in the world, Dallas would be the champion. There's no one else in the world that can give you better hospitality than him, cannot recommend this bar, and him, enough. Great drinks, great food, great atmosphere

Stopped by for a pint and glass of wine and discovered live music upstairs. Turned out to be a great night!!

Just okay. The service was slow and the food was average at best. The place had a great front patio and descent circle bar right inside with a lot of TVs.

I know it's Spring Break....but PREPARE!! Food was less than ok. Had to ask for silverware. Cocktail was tasteless....Sorry this place sucked in my opinion.. Shepards pie greasy....cocktails less than tasty

Be careful! Place over charges pay attention to your receipt. We were overcharged by almost $30 dollars. He said they increased prices for the weekend but we were not told ahead and it was a Monday night! Our waitress worked so hard and was the only worker in the place!

Ducked in here to avoid the (temporary) rain storm. Had some nice local beer on tap and a bunch of delicious food. Managed to have potatoes three ways! Potato Skins: Classic pub food! Enough potato to be a little pasty, but still remain skin-centric. Huge mound of cheese inside. A few bits of bacon for good measure. Really good with the sour cream on the side. Bangers & Mash: Wow, these were definitely the highlight. The brown gravy and caramelized onions were packed with flavor! They really livened up regular old mashed potatoes. And the bangers (i.e. sausages) were tasty too. They weren't too breakfast-y or hot dog-y, more like proper short and chubby banger. Paired great with gravy too. Fish and Chips: The chips were on the thinner side, like regular old American fries. Didn't come with vinegar by default, but I snagged bottle I saw hiding behind the bar. The fish was one *huge* piece with a flaky inside and nice crispy batter. A few bits of dark meat, so fishy at times.

We (husband and wife) just finished brunch here and had the worst service experience of our lives. Scanned the QR code to pay the bill with a 20% tip and received acknowledgment that payment went through. A couple of minutes after we left, the waitress and another guy from the restaurant came chasing after us that the payment did not go through. Asked me to come back to pay using another payment method. This was in front of the public, including 15-20 other customers. As I walked back into the restaurant to show them the payment already recorded on my credit card, they said payment went through. I did not care about their apology, because nothing can take back the huge embarrassment they caused us. Not sure if it was racial profiling or they are using a technology they have no business using. Either way, restaurant not recommended

Needs some paint touch up, a bit of a facelift remodel , lighten things up a bit ...otherwise much potential in a rather run down area. This atmosphere doesn't help . Clean up the vulgar Graffitti that's been there the Last 2 years ! ...obvious many in this area only care about $$$$$ and not appearances

Poor taste of a bartender here at this pub. Had a fairly large insect fly in to beer at this establishment, told the bartender and the response was far from any type of customer service like. Would not recommend coming here unless you're already drunk and not caring about ingesting insects. Kudos to you for extra protein.

Mc sore legs for sure - Expecting a Irish pup ...think again ..... Nothing Irish about this place and the over loud deco music is just so obnoxious for indoors and they can't make a irish coffee for trying

Had a petty here, we rented out the upstairs. The staff was great everything went smooth and had a wonderful time. Someone broke a glass and a gentleman came by to clean it up, he had a smile in his face and was laughing and joking with us. It turned out he was an owner/manager. Wish everyone enjoyed their work like that.

Worst wings I have ever had! 8 wings for $16!!! staff did not care so I paid bill for food I did not eat, will never go back, that's for sure! Robbed me of $16 but that's the only money I will ever spend there! so enjoy it as you obviously need it more than I!!

Came here based on good reviews on Trip Advisor. This place is definitely a "townie" dive bar in a not so great area. We walked in and walked out. They had music playing so loud, you couldn't hear each other talk. Ended up walking down the street to a much nicer bar.

Love this place until their music choice today is sad depressing 80s music and killed our vibe eating lunch

Stopped in for a cocktail at the end of a busy day, wonderful friendly service. Decided to get the wings. Wings are usually pretty safe and similar. Deep fried, slathered in a sauce of your choosing. These were nothing like that. Marinated 24 hours, air fried, sauce on the side. But they need nothing. Fall off the bone and seasoned impeccably. Best wings I've ever had, and that says a lot. Traveled for 40 years, had wings anywhere and everywhere, won't miss every opportunity I have to stop in at McSorley's. Well done!!

First thing we had a really unprofessional waitress, she wasn't that nice.(maybe she didn't like us). I ordered a cesar salad with salmon , my husband's order was salmon with broccolis & mash potatoes. Food was good. Nothing to complain!

We stumbled upon this place randomly after trying somewhere else! The bartender was so nice to put on the football game we wanted and they had my husband favorite beer! Only reason it's not 5 starts is because we weren't huge fans of the chicken tenders but other than that it was awesome!!

COCKROACH ALERT!!!! This place is crawling with them. Had two of them crawl up on our plates while eating. Called over the waiter who saw them and brushed them away as they scurried through the cracks in our table. The manger downplayed it as "our little south Florida pets" and somewhat belittled us by making a reference to his wife being afraid of them. For the record, I am not afraid of them, just disgusted by them crawling on my food while I'm eating it. He offered to pay for our dinners, which literally was the LEAST he could do since we couldn't eat our dinners because they were crawling with cockroaches. We otherwise enjoyed this place. The blaring 80s music was fun and had my partner singing along. The food is basic bar food, but we expected this with a sports bar. Manager was a douche but the other staff was wonderful

Best long layover EVER! I'm so glad I found this place! Having 10 hours to kill before a flight is an awful feeling, unless you are at the beach and make lemonade out of lemons! My new BFF and her dad (also my new BFF) were the epitome of a friendly bar. I walked in as a stranger and walked away as a friend. I absolutely got lucky to find this place ! I immediately felt comfortable and that I was a part of the family! Mike (Carley's dad) is the most amazing guy! He doesn't live here, however if you are lucky enough to meet him here one day, it will make your visit a happy one! This quaint bar is a wink to the NYC bar. Don't expect sawdust on the floor, this place is clean! That includes the potties, which is more important than anything! They do serve the McSorley's beer, if you are familiar with it. They do not serve this beer in tiny glasses and with attitude like the NYC location. Huge props! Huge bar with a ton of seating and an outside seating area (non smoking) with a perfect view of the palm trees and the water! There are pool tables, video games, and a beer pong table. There is a rooftop seating area that is open during busy times and it looks to be amazing! There are two bars ready to serve you awesome cocktails! Service is on point! Carley is a gem. She is so friendly and so fantastic! She welcomed me with open arms and was ever so lovely! I love how she works the bar with all of the customers. Nothing phases her and you will always get great service from her! They do not sell food, however, next door is a restaurant that will serve you. Many people snub their noses and leave, due to this fact, however, bring what food you want and enjoy great cocktails, an amazing view, and great people! I will actually plan another long layover they Ft Lauderdale just to come back! Family is family! XOXO

Very attentive manager, drinks were good. Was there on a Thursday afternoon and was very disappointed that the upstairs roof was closed. So we sat by the highway and watched the cars go by...

At first I was hesitant to eat here because they didn't serve food out of a can, but when they reassured me that their Irish Chef would cook with fresh ingredients I changed my mind! Incredible service and amazing food, please visit and support this beachfront gem!. Paulie and Kevin were fantastic bartenders and made the day unforgettable!

A friend had her birthday celebration here on the rooftop. I was really surprised at how big the rooftop was. There were tables and a bar as well as some screen projectors and dance lights. The ocean breeze was perfect while dancing on the rooftop in Fort Lauderdale. What more can I ask for?! They had a patio with some tables downstairs. The bar on the first floor was cool but it smelled like puke. I liked the bar on the second floor better. The D.J. Was playing pretty good music. I even requested a song from him and he obliged. The bartender was friendly. Our friend ordered bottle service and the server was good with clearing our glasses. I'd have to say it's one of my favorite spots on A1A. From what I remember, the drinks were average price maybe a little bit more than average. The rooftop part of this bar was what made this place 4 stars!

Nothin better than an Irish pub. It's funny that Mcsorley's shows I only have a handful of check-ins. This is actually my favorite spot on this part of the beach. I popped in with friends this past weekend, for the 100th time. This time we stopped in in the morning. We had just done sunrise yoga on the beach and its right in front. why not, we asked each other. We stopped in, and sure enough, there was a handful of other degenerates sitting at the oaken bar, talking it, apparently having stopped in from some beach workout as well. It was nice to see the place not packed. its a clean place, with dark woods, and basic bar seating. We didn't go up, but we all preferred either the 2nd or the 3rd floor. The 2nd has more of a game atmosphere with a pool table etc. a little more spacious as well. but the roof is even better. That is if you like roofs. It's open of course, and you can feel the ocean nearby. The music pumping out the speakers isn't as in your ear without a roof up there either, so you can have a conversation easier. But back to the main floor. It's more chill than some of the nearby bars. It has hidden parking in the back for the lucky few that get a spot, and when you step out the front door, you are looking at the beach. What's not to like. We were happy to stop in for a morning beer, it was a nice surreal moment. We might have to do it again.

I don't write many reviews but I have to let people know about McSorley's. My wife and I went there last night to watch a UFC event. They have a downstairs and upstairs bar. We listened to amazing live music upstairs, before the event started. When we arrived, the manager (I neglected to get his name) greeted us and actually showed us the entire bar. Their staff was amazingly friendly, the drinks and food were amazing and the event was done right. If you're a UFC fan (or any sports fan for that matter) the TVs are everywhere. On the upstairs patio, they mounted the TVs high enough, on the walls, that if people are standing in front of you, you can still see. The sound is also on (unlike most bars playing UFC). They have large speakers that allow people to hear the commentary very well. If you haven't been there you need to. You won't find a bar on A1A near central beach with this type of food, service and staff. You can tell that they love what they do and equally love their jobs.

I was very much looking forward to my visit back. I had a McSorley's Lagar. First sip...., second sip. The taste was "off". Tasted foul. Hard to describe, not vinegary, not flat, but definitely off. I mentioned it to the bartender, who was very nice. I asked if someone else could taste it. I really wanted to know if it was just me or had the taste gone bad. He said, he hasn't had any complaints, he would check the keg. As I sat there, looking at the 3 quarters or more full beer, I reflected...Ouch...I have been drinking beer for 5 decades! Then I really needed a beer, (wink). I mentioned to the bartender...."In 50 years, it has never taken me this long to drink a pint, it is off." He said, "sorry". I gave it to him, paid and left. Disappointed. I thought a solution was reasonable. Have someone else taste it, offer me a different kind of beer.

Pretty chill place with a nice view of the ocean. About as good as it gets on this block.

We worked with Karma, reserving a space for our wedding afterparty (wedding was at bonnet house, so only a ~8 minute walk), and we couldn't have asked for things to go better. Beforehand we had communicated with Karma, and she was very good at following up/confirming we would be there and then making sure we had the space needed for the 50-60 guests that made it. The setting was amazing - looking out onto the ocean and very open to the air, and I wouldn't have changed a thing. It was a perfect wedding afterparty spot.

I would swear i made the playlist at this bar - just my style! Solis pub and grub food options and a decent beer selection. Outdoor seating overlooking the beach! No complaints here.

Food was good, quaint and pleasant ambiance with a great view of the ocean, and service was good. Prices were a big on the high side but it is on the beach ‍

This is a step up from a local dive bar. The set up isn't very comfortable but it attracts the older locals who wants a drink and chill. The staff was nice and the place seemed pretty clean.

I've been here a bunch of times over the past few years and have always left after another good time. I can't say much about the upstairs because I never made it past the front entrance and an occasional visit to the bathroom. We always end up spending time at the bar near the front doors. I remember years ago at my first visit, a large group of us came after a yelp event and of course Allen F bought everyone a round of Pickle Backs since that was something he did often. We goofed around and all had a great time that it made us come back. It's not fancy but it is fun.

Atmosphere great. Service a nightmare. What is owner thinking? He was there witnessing this sh!show. Numerous customers dissatisfied. Only thing that saves this place is location. Train your staff!

This was my first time going to McSorley's Beach Pub and I will definitely be back. The vibe at this bar is totally fun with the rooftop club and downstairs for amazing food. I ordered the buffalo chicken flatbread and it was amazing. Kim was our waiter and she was super kind!! The employees also wear masks and the overall place is clean. Will be back very soon!

Delicious Guinness and karyoke Wednesday I can't complain didn't eat just drank but I had my eye on that sheppard's pie next time gadget, next time!

Processed meat Service was great but I ordered the chicken tender plate. I know it's the meal of a 12 year old but I was hungover and wanted some crispy chicken tenders and I've never had them be processed so I figured it would be a safe bet considering they're $12. Felt like I was eating McDonald's food. I'm unsure the other meat on their menu but I can only assume they don't care about the quality of their food too much.

Great evening out on the patio. I don't drink so I can't rate the cocktails but everyone around me seemed to be having a good time. We watched some of the World Cup here. They had it up on several screens. Quite a nice time.

I was in FTL Beach for a week in August which is pretty much the offseason for FL. The bars weren't' too busy by the beach but the ones that were were super douchey. I'm a huge fan of divey bars so I made my way down to McSorley's one night. In a sea of terrible tourist bars, this was a locals oasis. I came in on my own and sat at the bar. Ended up chatting with the bartender for a bit and then also met up with some other folks at a spot around the corner that I met here. I had a fun time so I came back. I think I was here 3 nights during my stay and always had a fun time. Pro tip: There's a check-in offer for a free shot... at least there was when i was there :)

We loved this place so much while we were on vacation in Ft Lauderdale. The food and atmosphere are great and the service is awesome. We watched the Super Bowl from the patio on the lower level and they took great care of us during the entire game. Our main server Jess was so good and personable, she is the best! We would return again and again if we lived in the area.
