Coolgreens Will Open at Richardson’s CityLine Development - Eater Dallas

"The no-frills dive bar on Maple Avenue in the Medical District will soon be revamped into M.D. Tavern, a play on the initials of its locale and many of its clientele. The new owners, who also own the Ivy Tavern on Lemmon Avenue, bought Windmill Lounge in 2017. They promise to keep the tavern feel, but they’ll serve food and open in time for lunch. Diners can expect burgers, sandwiches, and Southern dishes including boudin balls, as well as upgrades to the patio, interiors, and more TVs for game day, CultureMap reports." - Alaena Hostetter

Something about this place makes me Just keep coming back. Small enough to get to know everyone but big enough to meet someone new every time. The bar staff are absolutely amazing. They knew my drink the second time I was there even though it was packed both times. Huuuuuge back patio with lots of tables and TVs. Very fair prices as well as quality drinks. Can not stress about how rad the bar staff is. This has become my home bar.

RIP to the beloved Windmill. This new place is fine, the bartender made good drinks, and the prices were fine but they've plastered the place in large flat screen TVs that play football at full volume, and added a pool table, so basically it's just a basic sports bar now. Nothing wrong with it, if that's your thing, but the Windmill would have never.

A great "dive" bar with a modern interior and a "truckyard" style back patio. The staff is great and knowledgeable. Only downside is the lack of any sort of food offerings! They have a kitchen and they need to use it!
