"This Brighton restaurant has a variety of hand-pulled noodle dishes. Carnivores will be happy with the hand-pulled noodles with beef and scallions, while vegetarians can snack on hand-pulled noodles with scrambled eggs and tomatoes. Also worth trying: spicy hand-pulled noodles with boiled lamb. MDM Noodles is open for takeout and delivery." - Terrence Doyle

"What to Eat: Boston’s reputation as a city with good hand-pulled noodles is growing, and MDM’s are an exemplar of the genre. Order the hand-pulled noodles with beef and scallions, the hand-pulled noodles with scrambled eggs and tomatoes, or the spicy hand-pulled noodles with boiled lamb. Hurry to your destination: Hand-pulled noodles are best eaten very fresh. Where to Eat: Brighton Common (30 Chestnut Hill Ave.), which is two blocks south of the restaurant. How to Order: Official Website [takeout] / DoorDash [delivery] / Grubhub [takeout/delivery]" - Terrence Doyle, Rachel Leah Blumenthal

Speedy service, delicious food. We had two hand pulled noodle dishes (beef and lamb), along with scallion pancakes and tea eggs. The noodles were a great texture, and very filling. The atmosphere is very low key, casual. The prices were fair. There is a municipal parking lot around the corner if you can't find a street spot out front. I would definitely return!

Google
Not sure how vegan or gf friendly food options will be, but vegetarian dumplings and stir fried veggies (bok choy) were delish! And it was indeed a generous portion, to the point where i pulled out a container i had with me and took half to eat later 😅 P.s. This is place to eat affordably, it's not fancy.

We ordered the lamb dumplings and cumin lamb noodles (dry) both were delicious!! Small location with great food! They do have parking in the back but it was small and they were full.

A very tasty experience with lots of parking space in the back, a rare convenience. I had the seafood noodle soup that was bursting with flavor, perfectly salted. Also grabbed a bunch of frozen dumplings to have for lunch, can't wait to try! Edit: Dumplings were absolutely amazing. Came back for the mala pot and it did not disappoint. Very spicy and tasty.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at MDM Noodles in Boston, and I must say, it was an absolute delight. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the stage for an incredible culinary journey. One of the first things that caught my attention was the thoughtful touch of having garlic chili oil readily available on each table. This small but significant detail immediately hinted at the authenticity and attention to detail that awaited me. As a lover of spicy flavors, I couldn't help but be excited about the potential it held for enhancing my dining experience. Now, let's talk about the star of the show—MDM Noodles' hand-pulled noodles. Amazing would be an understatement to describe the sheer quality and flavor of these noodles. Every bite was a testament to the chef's expertise and dedication to the craft. The noodles had the perfect balance of chewiness and tenderness, and their freshness was evident in every mouthful. It was evident that great care and skill went into their preparation, making them a true standout. The menu at MDM Noodles offers a variety of options to cater to different preferences. Whether you're a fan of beef, chicken, pork, or vegetarian dishes, there's something to satisfy every palate. Each dish I tried was a harmonious combination of flavors, showcasing the culinary mastery behind MDM Noodles. The staff at MDM Noodles deserve praise as well. They were attentive, friendly, and more than willing to offer recommendations based on personal preferences. Their passion for the food and dedication to ensuring a memorable dining experience were evident throughout my visit. All in all, MDM Noodles in Boston is an absolute gem. With their remarkable hand-pulled noodles, the delightful addition of garlic chili oil, and a staff that goes above and beyond, this restaurant has captured my heart and taste buds. I can't recommend it highly enough to anyone seeking an authentic and unforgettable dining experience.

The good: cold skin noodles was delicious, spicy hand pulled noodles also tasted better than expected. The bad: beef mala soup was bland, lamb skewers did not taste fresh. Solid food. Stick with the noodle dishes, you won’t be disappointed.

Google
I tried out take outs from here before and last weekend I had a great indoor dining experience here. To be honest the food was decent enough I've definitely had better noodles, however the great location and service really made this a great location to try some great Chinese noodles. First the foods, I thought the pork burger lacked a bit of spice, the noodles are definitely top notch and I really appreciate the chili oil sauce on top of it. However, I thought the Scallion Beef didn't really go that well with it, feels like two separate dishes combined in one bowl. Aside from those everything else was great. I really enjoyed their friendly service and quite spacious dining area. There's actually parking spaces in the back just for MDM as well. I'd highly recommended their noodle menus as it's really their main strength.

Delicious food, fast service, decent prices Came here for lunch, got the garlic and chili cucumber and two orders of the mala soup, one veggie one seafood. Both were great. The broth was a wonderful balance of heat and umami, without being aggressively salty. The cucumber was heaven on earth, super garlicky and spicy. Service was super fast and will 100% will come back!

Yelp
This is one of my favorites places to eat. My usual order is the hot pot fish fillet and/or the garlic eggplant, with a side of white rice. Sometimes I get the tea egg and the hand-pulled noodle with veggies if eating with more than two people at the table. The portions are good, and the taste is amazing! There's some parking at the back or you can use street parking since it's in Brighton. The indoor setting is simple with contemporary pop music playing in the background.

Yelp
Was I area and in mood for hand pulled noodles. Had the beef scallion noodles and 2 side pieces of lamb kebabs. Noodles in sauce were very good flavors. The beef was a little stringy and tough eating . The lamb kebabs were good but not lamb tasting . Service was quick, served warm water vs ice water ? 1 paper napkin with fork or chip sticks. , no sauces If looking for service or ambiance, eat else where 13.95 for good portion of noodles, beef I hope wasn't intestinal beef as that is offered as a dish.

Yelp
We've been trying different hand-pulled noodles places recently and this place is really good! Our favorites were the liang pi and the eggplant. Liang pi texture was so good. The eggplant had great wok-flavor. We also had the spicy boiled lamb hand-pulled noodle, which wasn't very spicy but had good cumin flavor. The hand-pulled noodle texture was pretty good, though we were full by the time this dish came because it took longer than the other dishes, so maybe I wasn't able to appreciate it fully. The portion sizes and price were excellent. Service was efficient and interior is very no-frills. The dishes are served in normal bowls/plates, but you eat from paper plates using disposable chopsticks which made the place seem even more casual. I was surprised they didn't just use all normal plates or all paper plates, like why both? Anyways, we liked the food -- will def be back!

Yelp
Recently came back and so glad to be back! So hard to find dedicated free parking lot in the Brighton area, so I made sure to take photos of the small alleyway (easy to miss). So others know where to turn into the back of the building and find parking. Very friendly service as always. Ambiance is very traditional Chinese. Their menu option is somewhat limited, having dumplings, hand-pulled noodles, a few stir fry dishes, with spicy dry pot options. The price actually didn't increase that much since my last visit, considering inflation. It's definitely one of the more "affordable" place to dine out these days! Good indoor air quality. The CO2 jumped up to 1,000 ppm briefly, but quickly stabilized around 600 ppm. There were some people here for dine-in, and others for takeout. Delicious and authentic food, as always! Hope to be back again soon!

Yelp
Wonton Soup was exactly what I needed: tasty but light and wholesome. Order was ready quickly!

Yelp
SO and I came here on a weeknight with a craving for noodles. As mentioned by other reviewers, there's a parking lot in the back that seems to be shared by multiple businesses. However it was completely full when we were there. We ended up just parking in some spots directly behind the restaurant (designated as spots for MDM). The restaurant itself is very no frills. It kind of felt like we were at a dining hall. We were given bottles of water and disposable plates and utensils (and yes the water was still free!). Food took maybe 10 to 15 minutes to come out. We got the following: Eggplant - came out HOT! As in temperature. It was very tasty and clearly was cooked to order in a hot wok. Would recommend. Note that this is not yu xiang qiezi but rather just sautéed eggplant with sauce. Beef scallion noodle - got this as it seemed to be one of their most popular dishes. I think it was decent. The flavor was good but the noodle texture was a bit soggy, I think from the sauce. Spicy boiled lamb hand pulled noodle - also a bit underwhelming. It wasn't that spicy. However the noodle texture was much better in this dish so out of the two, I preferred this one. Pork cabbage dumplings - I almost wonder if they gave us beef by accident because they didn't taste like pork lol. Aside from that, these were also super greasy, like a soup dumpling but instead of soup it was oil. Tbh we still finished all the food and I think there's potential for this place. I read a lot of positive reviews for the Mala pots so I'd try those next. Maybe soup noodles would be better than their dry noodles too.

Yelp
This place is fresh and local to the Brighton Allston area. It's tucked away so don't blink...you'll miss it. I was a fan of their food but I wish I got what some of the experts ate. One guy was slurping his noodles so loud that others took notice. That's how good it is.

Yelp
Where do I even start? This is probably one of the best Chinese restaurants I've been to in Boston, which is saying a lot (because I've been to quite a few). My friends and I came by around noon on a Sunday - a decent number of tables filled, but still lots of seats available in their relatively spacious restaurant. Their speciality, it seems, are their traditional flat noodles, so we had an order of the beef scallion noodles and the spicy lamb hand-pulled noodles. Both were SO delicious - noodles perfectly chewy, the beef/lamb really juicy and in generous portions, and the respective sauces just phenomenal *chef's kiss*. Other than that, we had the sliced roast beef and an order of the beef dumplings to share. Both were really tasty, and I was pleasantly surprised with the roast beef - it was super tender and flavourful and came in a large portion size. One friend also ordered the spicy cumin lamb burger, which was pretty good, too. (They also have the DIY-type of mala spicy pot, but we weren't that interested this time - maybe on our next visit!) Price point was fantastic, especially for how much food we got - we were all full and even had some leftovers to take with us. If MDM was closer to where I lived (or slightly more convenient to get to with the T/bus), I'd honestly be here all the time. Can't wait for my next visit already!

Yelp
The starches here are AMAZING: chewy, glutinous, satisfying and memorable. As a restaurant experience, though, don't bother dining in, unless you would like to eat off paper plates, be served bottled water, and have appetizers arrive after the mains, even when you ask for them to come first. The scrambled eggs and pulled noodles were tasty and savory, but short of balanced: it needed scallions, and something else to cut the richness. The dried fish hot pot was fresh and lightly crispy, but there was no dipping sauce, which would've added salt and flavor. The dumplings were a good version of something you've had before. I used their sauce for the fish. If you got takeout here, you'd have a good night.

Christine W.

Yelp
MDM isn't a fancy place. They're a no frills restaurant that makes really delicious food. They have ample seating inside so there shouldn't be a huge wait. When I first came into the restaurant, I saw a lady make dumplings by hand near the kitchen so you know the dumplings are fresh. I came with my family and my parents are a tough critic so we ordered a couple different noodle dishes, dumplings, and fish. Of all the items, we loved the dumplings. They were so fresh and they were pretty big for the amount we paid for. The beef scallion hand pulled noodles were also a favorite of mine because the noodles were the perfect texture and the dish had a lot of flavors. Surprisingly, we also finished the whole pot of sichuan style fish fillet. It was a pretty large dish and the fish was incredible soft and flavorful. Overall, I would come back again if I'm in the area. There is a huge parking lot in the back of the restaurant so it makes traveling there very easy.

Yelp
Been looking for some hand pulled noodles. I had the hand pulled noodles with chilli oils and veggies along with filet of fish dry roasted with chili's. The noodle was exactly as I hoped, firm texture with a nice bite. Chili oil was mild, not too spicy. The chili fish was perfect. Perfectly done with a light crust with medium spiciness. This place is nothing fancy, tables for about 20-30. Clean and operated by people that care about their craft!

Yelp
MDM is definitely my go-to restaurant in the Brighton area, and always hits the spot when I'm craving something savory. I got the Beef Scallion Hand Pulled Noodles the first time I came, and have only ordered that ever since. The service is quick and the food always comes out fresh.

Stone Y.

Yelp
First of all, when I eat out Chinese food, I am picky. So if you have a high standard, please continue to read otherwise discard what I am to write. They used to be one of the most authentic restaurants in greater Boston. However, nowadays food here is lacking flavors. The sauce or the broth, nothing tastes correct. The cold noodle dish, I don't know how they're making sesame sauce, is zero star. The sauce is watery no aroma.

Cass A.

Yelp
We enjoyed our time at this small, seemingly family owned, restaurant. The noodles are hand pulled and the dumplings are hand-made. Rich and flavorful with generous portions. We definitely could've split one entree but our eyes got the best of us.

Michael C.

Yelp
The lamb noodles dish was so good! The mala medium spicy was pretty spicy and overall delicious. Service was prompt and good!

Matthew H.

Yelp
I would m give this place 5 stars simply for its amazing spicy beef hand pulled noodles and the lamb cumin burger. This was my go to chinese spot back when I lived closer. The price is also very fair with the amount of food you get (bang for your buck).

Howie H.

Yelp
this establishment continues to be a staple in my diet through thick and thin .... noodles.... sometimes the quality is better than others... but overall it's a good joint for noodles of all sorts.

Genevieve S.

Yelp
The noodles themselves are completely excellent. Probably the best in the area. My only complaint is that the noodle to veggie / meat ratio is off. I would have loved more veggies in my soup as opposed to it being nearly all noodles with a few veggie garnishes. If they nail that ratio this place is easily soaring to my top noodle / soup place.

Clark S.

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants in Boston. The food is so good and really reminds me of home. There's also free parking which is a plus for me in that part of Brighton. I like the seafood fried rice here

Scott G.

Yelp
As a local, no-frills, authentic Chinese spot, this place is a 5/5 and rocks! I've ordered takeout multiple times from here and the food travels well. I love the beef hand pulled noodle-often ordering two of them for an excellent meal the next day. Nondescript outside and interior, but the food hits the spot.

Gloria H.

Yelp
I came here for the first time because Lanzhou was closed, and I'm definitely glad I did! We tried a wide variety of their offerings. Crispy fish fillet - this was delicious and everything I wanted. Tender fish, crispy outside, perfect flavor. Liang pi cold noodles - this was a surprisingly large portion size given the price and it was one of my favorite dishes. The noodles have a great chewy texture and the sesame marinade and vegetables are very refreshing. I would definitely get this again. Biang biang noodles - these were very solid. I like the noodles more at Lanzhou but these are also good. I wish they had more meat options like chicken or something (I don't eat lamb). Someone else got the lamb noodles and said the lamb didn't add much (the flavor was good but the meat quality was not). Pork bun - Pretty lacking in flavor compared to other dishes. Cucumber salad - pretty normal, would have liked if there was some chili oil or something. Definitely a lot of cucumber. Overall I really liked the cold noodles and the fish fillet -- I would definitely get them next time I go to MDM Noodles!

Brian M.

Yelp
Super authentic and delicious food! Noodle texture was absolutely perfect and flavors are amazing well k definitely come back and try more of the menu

Iris S.

Yelp
the hand pull noodles are top notch- lots of spring/chew to each bite. there is a hefty amount of lamb that they place on top as well. the apps are REALLY large in portion and can be a lot if you are dining alone. they pack easily to go though so don't let that deter you from ordering more. i would say most of the customers speak mandarin, so you know its a pretty decent place. the restaurant itself reminds of what you would find in chinatown. the tables already have condiments in the corner and the surface top is a tad sticky. in the back, you can see the cooks making dumplings or doing other food preparations. for me, it feels like home. i am definitely going to bring my parents here next time they visit to see what they think.

eric p.

Yelp
I was very excited for hand pulled noodles and intended to order some. I got the wrong dish (Sichuan Spicy Noodles with glass noodles) and called to complain. Then I ate the dish. Hence the 5 star review. Spicy, complex, balanced. One of the best veggie broths I've eaten. I really want to try the hand pulled noodles now. Also had the steamed veggie dumplings. They were fire. Outstanding stuffing with a bunch of veg, great texture of dumpling skin and sweet+salty dipping sauce. Fought my daughter for these.

Alyssa C.

Yelp
My whole family *loves* this place (especially my mom and my grandma... who come here at least once a week) Some family favorites: Spicy Chicken for Two Spicy Boiled Lamb Hand Pulled Noodle Luo Si Noodle Fish Filet with Tomato Sauce (grandma's favorite) BBQ Lamb Kabob Straightforward menu with dishes bursting with flavor and fresh ingredients. Staff are friendly, accommodating, and always happy to help. Have been here many many times and will be back many more times in the future!!

Jonathan C.

Yelp
Hidden gem that does not disappoint. Although they have so many good choices on the menu, I always come back here and get the same: spicy lamb hand pulled noodle Definitely try this place out if you're in the area, their freshly pulled noodles are great with affordable pricing. Parking is also very easy since there's a small parking lot in the back of the restaurant. There's a tight little alley you have to drive through but there's always space to park.

Steve W.

Yelp
Excellent, authentic, hand-pulled noodles with a friendly staff and warm, welcoming environment. Thank you for a delicious lunch Anna! I'll be back next time.

Irene H.

Yelp
Heard some good things about this place but it fell a little short of my expectations. While I loved the texture of the noodles, I was not a huge fan of a lot of the sauces and flavors. The spicy lamb hand pulled noodles was probably my favorite dish I had there. The cold skin noodles was not the typical chili sauce - I was not expecting a peanut butter flavored kind of sauce (not sure if that's what it actually was but that's what it tasted like to me). The spicy hot oil sauce was a tad sour tasting. The beef scallion noodles was cooked in a brown sauce which reminded me of those Chinese take-out places lo mein sauce... The beef skewers were decent - love the cumin flavor. The wonton soup was good as well. The wontons were a generous size and the soup was satisfying and not too overly salty! Great service and friendly staff! I did get some other recommendations to try the mala soups and the luo si noodles - so I might be back to give this place another try...

Marni M.

Yelp
First time ordering take out from here. My friends and I tried their spicy hand pulled noodles along with the tea soaked egg. The prices were fair with the noodles and eggs both about $10. The noodles had a good texture and flavor to them. The tea egg was very subtle in taste, not something I will order again next time. Staff was very friendly and made our orders quickly. Would come back to try more!

Devon K.

Yelp
MDM Noodles is a solid spot in Brighton. Located right in Brighton Center across from three Irish restaurants, it certainly breaks up some of the monotony in the area. It's never my first thoughts when I'm thinking of where to get dinner, but the food is solid. Every time I've gone in it's been relatively empty and the food has come quickly, which is great when you're starving. I always get the hand pulled noodles with either beef or lamb. I know they're known for their lamb, but I tend to go with the beef as I like the taste better. Both are great options and under $10. The hand pulled noodles are chewy and long and always cooked perfectly. They're pretty bland in flavor so use some of the toppings that are at your table. I've also gotten the scallion pancake which was good and not too greasy. I've heard the other appetizers like the lamb burger are good, but I'm usually full with just ordering the hand pulled noodles. Overall, I will definitely be back when I want a starchy meal although I don't think MDM will join my regular rotation since I do feel greasy after eating here. On the plus side, the noodles are long enough for a great noodle pull pic.

Bob M.

Yelp
Their beef scallion hand pulled noodles are AMAZING! They are my favorite meal and the service is nice and quick. The shop is small and it's a relatively calm environment where you can have a great food experience. Couldn't recommend enough. I'm glad I can order online for take out

Jacob R.

Yelp
I've eaten here 4 times in the last 2 months. This place is the bomb!! A diamond in the rough. I always get the Sichuan-Style Fish Filet. The dish includes heaps of fish filets with spicy sauce and veggies. Comes with rice. This is my go-to! I've also had a few of their noodle dishes, featuring hand-pulled noodles. However, with covid forcing take-out, the noodle dishes have been less than ideal for me as the noodles get a little dry. 4 stars because the fish filet is the only dish worth raving about, and I can't comment on their service (yet), but I'm looking forward to eating inside ASAP! Call ahead and pick up in 15 minutes.

Alan S.

Yelp
This might be the single best value meal I've had in Boston. Under $8 for a high quality bowl of hand pulled noodles with a well of spicy oil and crushed garlic at the bottom. In the world of hand pulled noodles, a talented chef can fill an entire bowl with a single unbroken noodle, and I indeed did not see any breaks in mine. In general the portions do err towards the generous side. The vibe is low-key and spacious. Thankfully it wasn't too crowded when we arrived at 8 on a Wednesday. Will definitely return!

Lynn W.

Yelp
What a gem of a find!! Absolutely loved the hand pulled noodles with lamb. The wonton soup and dumplings were also delicious and authentic. And the lamb skewers were highly flavorful! The only item we didn't love was the beef mala soup, as it wasn't as spicy as we expected. We will absolutely be back for the hand pulled noodles with lamb though! So delicious, great quality and quantity. Highly recommend!

Kim N.

Yelp
STILL AMAZING! Updating so that everyone knows it's still great and adding some recent pics of delicious choices!

Qme L.

Yelp
I've had take out from this spot twice now. My go to is the Sichuan style fish filet. It is soo good!! Not as oily as other places make it and great portion size. For $16, it lasts 2-4 servings. The first time I got the beef scallion hand pulled noodles and the second time I got the lamb hand pulled noodle. I am not a huge fan of lamb in general, but the dish was delicious... and surprisingly the noodles are still great for leftovers the day after.

Apex S.

Yelp
Sometimes you don't realize the hidden gems in your own backyard! MDM is certainly one of them. The food is delicious. We had the hand pulled noodles, hot pot fish fillet and the mala veggie stir fry. We asked for everything to be mild spicy and they absolutely got it right. The hand pulled noodles were the right amount of chewy, delicately spiced and well cooked. The fish fillets were fresh, crispy and very tasty. For the stir fry, we selected a veggie basket. You get to select the veggies that go into your stir fry but the server does it for you. They have bok choy, broccoli, lotus root, tofu skin, bean sprouts, mushroom, cabbage, noodles, fungus and a few more - unfortunately no labels on the veggie containers. So ask your server what they have. We got a little of everything and is was great - the veggies were crisp, you could definitely taste the spicy sauce but it wasn't overpowering. Customer service was friendly too. They patiently answered our questions. Parking wise, there's a municipal lot out back or street parking. In our books, MDM is a big hit and we'll certainly be back especially for the hot pot fish fillets!

Andie B.

Yelp
Stopped by MDM Noodles on a weekend visit to Boston and was truly blown away! I'd been craving hand pulled noodles for a while and the tomato and egg one is my absolute favorite so I decided to drag my friend over to MDM. We both got hand pulled noodles as well as the pork burger and pork + cabbage dumplings. Everything was absolutely fabulous and filling. The flavors were on point and everything was perfectly seasoned! Additionally, service was efficient and the food came out quickly! Will definitely be back the next time I'm in the Boston area!

Goku U.

Yelp
Why did I not know about this place before? MDM has authentic hand pulled noodles. So delicious and simple. No over the top flavors or frills. We sampled a variety of dishes. Spicy hand pulled noodles, stir fried eggplant, vegetable mala soup, cold tofu. Hands down favorite was the spicy hand pulled noodles. I will definitely be returning to try other dishes! Plus, there's free parking in the back of the restaurant.

Kim M.

Yelp
[4.5/5] I haven't found many places serving up hand pulled noodles in Boston and MDM's menu is reminiscent of one of my favorite hand pulled noodle shops in Jersey so I was pretty excited to give this place a whirl - and to my pleasant surprise, The Boy also was down to clown and indulge my constant noodle craving!! Rolled in shortly after 11:30 on Sunday, we were the first ones in. To start we got the Scallion Pancake and Liang Pi/Cold Skin Noodles. The Scallion Pancakes are served up extra crispy and are generation in portion. The Liang Pi - one of my all-time favorite Chinese/Szechuan dishes - was unfortunately not up to snuff. Everything looked good - the noodles were a little bit softer than I like - but it lacked any real flavor. The chili oil wasn't really spicy and it lacked any acidity. I ordered the Spicy Boiled Lamb Hand Pulled Noodles and The Boy got the Beef Scallion Hand Pulled Noodles. These hand pulled noodles had great texture, chewiness, and were cooked to perfection! I will once again note that the spiciness wasn't there for me - so definitely take advantage of the hot oil on the table and feel free to ask for some spice sauce as well but the lamb overall was tasty and flavorful; The Boy loved his beef scallion rendition as well. With a place in the books that The Boy also enjoys, I'll definitely be returning to try some more authentic dishes. I'd like to give the Mala Pot a try (seemed like a popular order among the other tables) but it's going to be hard to not order a big bowl of the hand pulled noodles every time! Service was really friendly and attentive; our waiter served with a smile the entire meal.

Diana L.

Yelp
Overall: 4/5 I ordered delivery and it took a really long time, but I still enjoyed the food. My favorite was the Liang Pi. Liang Pi (cold skin noodles): 4.5/5 One of my favorite Chinese street foods in general and I wish I had ordered an extra portion to save for later! The noodles from here were a good texture. The sauce is not amazing but it works. Not super spicy. Pork Dumplings with Chives: 4.5/5 Basically what I expect from dumplings. The dumplings were a good size and the chive pieces were not too large. Stir-fried Eggplant: 3/5 Some pieces of the eggplant were not thoroughly cooked. I know can be hard to cook it just right without overcooking, but I had to reheat it myself. The taste is okay, but I personally prefer more of a garlic sauce taste. Green bean shake: 4/5 The English name feels kind of misleading because shakes usually have some kind of milk or cream and this is not anything like that. In reality this is just your typical 绿豆汤, Mung beans with the water they are boiled in, cooled and sweetened. Next time I hope to try some of the hand-pulled noodles!

Yelp
I am starting to see a lot of hand pulled noodles restaurants cropping up through Massachusetts. MDM Noodles is one of my husband and my favorite thus far. For appetizer, I recommend the lamb skewers, the homemade tea eggs, and the Liang-pi noodles (thin cut noodles served cold with tofu, bean sprouts, sliced carrots, cilantro, and spicy chili oil). For noodles, I recommend the spicy boiled lamb hand pulled noodles and the Sichuan spicy noodle. The hand pulled noodles is thick with its uneven cuts and is slightly chewy. The lamb is perfectly seasoned. The Sichuan spicy noodle has a spicy and slight sour soup taste. My brother had the old friend noodles and didn't like it. I tried his broth and it was not to my liking either. I would skip as well as their milk teas as well. My husband's favorite dish is the dried hot pot fish fillet. I like the spicy boiled fish version (Sichuan style fish fillet) better than the dry version but I would say both are just as good. It's personal preference really. This dish goes great with a bowl of rice and there is enough to share for two people.

Yelp
Always enjoyed my food in this place! I pass by frequently for take out or dine-in and always satisfy! Nothing fancy but who cares when you have fresh and tasty meals, right? I always enjoy my mala soup and last time I had Lamb Mala soup with pulled hand noodles and it was so delicious. The lamb tasted fresh, the noodles were perfect and the rest of the soup was very tasty! I will always pass by when I am in the neighborhood

Yelp
I would say that the hand pulled noodles are special. I had only had that at one place before. Went with the spicy lamb noodles, based on a few recommendations on yelp. I wasn't really into them though, based on my own preferences. I didn't like the fatty bits, there was a lot of meat, and the cumin flavor was surprising, and a bit much for me. Also didn't like the pop music playing at the restaurant. Service was good. & You get a free soda when you check-in on yelp.

Yelp
Parking: They have a private lot in back but you need to pull into a little alley way before MDM. Use google maps to spot it first before driving there. There's also a free municipal lot in behind their lot but you have to go past MDM, make a right and go straight for about 100 feet before making a right into the lot. Food: Lamb with hand pulled noodles - 5/5 the lamb was done perfectly and tasted great when sliced thin with still some fattiness in it. The main attraction though was the super chewy noodles and the phenomenal spicy oiliness of it. That spicy oil mixture that glistens on the noodles is very critical element of the bowl. Some of that mixture collects at the bottom of bowl so definitely don't be afraid to keep mixing the noodles from the bottom up. The cumin flavor permeates the entire bowl so you get a blast of that flavor with every bite. Love it!! Ambiance: Decent space with enough tables. Definitely more casual setting and enough staff around to keep your water full. Will definitely come back again to try their Mala soups that other reviewers here rave of.

Yelp
I like this place bc it really has authentic Chinese Northern food!!!!! I go there every time my homesick is hitting. If you are not into Chinese Northern style-that's ok! Then the homemade dumplings are UNIVERSALLY HIGHLY recommended to all of you! Go try the dumplings please! Life is too short just go! there is always nothing wrong with their dumplings!

Yelp
I LOVE THEIR LUO SI NOODLES! Yummilicious noodles. Can have it with spice or no spice. Their lamb noodles are really good too. It's just that if you take the leftovers home, when you heat it up again you will stink up your whole kitchen. Other than that, parking's convenient, nice staff, and food gets served very quickly!
