Meadow Lane

So beautiful inside! I came in on Wednesday morning and the store was not busy at all which made it easy to shop. I really really enjoyed the chicken salad and finished the tub in a day! I’ll definitely be going back for more items to try.

Lost a star for not having soy milk & seating. Otherwise LOVE❣️ What we got: Pink Juice, Sun Elixer, Osaka Beef Bowl, Turkey Chilli, Grandma’s meatballs, Matcha latte (with house oat milk), and some of the White Chocolate Miso Blondes (which a very friendly & generous lady shared with us). Chicken nuggets were simultaneously scarce and flowing every half hour, so I didn’t try. It’s Tribeca/ winter in NYC, so there’s great outfit watching and LOTS of infants and toddlers. If Erewhon had this decor, they’d have to be kicking people out. Such a cute aesthetic. ✨Hopefully in-door seating will arrive in 2026.

I was actually shocked by the chicken tenders. Crunchy, juicy, and the honey mustard is that good. It’s $17 for 5 tendies which is hefty, but for a quality tender, would come again.

Genuinely, I was looking forward to having a place near work to treat myself to a fun lunch every now and again. The line was not terrible and much appreciated to have space to wonder inside. The squash soups texture was not it guys. The lemongrass or root in it was unsettling to me. And the tenders taste like flattened citi field tenders dipped in sawdust. I’ll be back to try the Chinese chicken salad and hope it’s more my speed 🙏

The worst flat white I’ve had. And it’s not the beans, it’s how it was made. People behind the counter never worked in hospitality and aren’t trained - at all. You’d think for price you’re paying you’d get good service but it’s not even mediocre, it’s bad.

Food was terrible. I was so unimpressed and uninspired by the selection. This feels like a TraderJoes with a Walmart Great Value lipstick smacked ontop. The location is nice, but waiting in line for gross food is not worth it. Save your money for a better bodega, and ignore this crap shop.

They collect tax on non-taxible foods like lemon lebne (similar to yogurt). Where is that money going?? The state certainly doesn't collect tax from food retailers on basic foods like lemon flavored yogurt and lemon lebne. So I guess Meadow Lane is just keeping the sales tax. I'd like to figure out how to get it back from them.

Today was my first time there and my last..I got myself a Miso salmon bowl and it was the worse. The rice was over cooked and the salmon was very dry and stiff with a tiny bit of what they call a salad.. for $26 and change..a total ripoff

Picture the $33 lunch from Meadow Lane gourmet provisions: --Warm 12oz Thai squash soup (curry; lemongrass; ginger; delicious). --Chilled, french cut chicken breast grilled (looks pretty; good consistency, but needed salt and better seasoning). --Chocolate bar. Satisfying enough...but I'll be hungry again in 60 minutes. Too expensive for the portion size. I'll be returning to nearby Cafe Clementine and nearby Chopt for lunch.

I walked into Meadow Lane with an open mind, because I'm someone who shops at places where selection actually reflects knowledge Erewhon, Happier Grocery, Butterfield, Bi-Rite, The Epicurean Trader, the markets where the shelves tell you the buyer has a point of view and some standards. Meadow Lane does not give that impression for even a second. The "LA chopped salad" was the clearest example of the larger issue. The components were there, but the result felt oddly assembled unbalanced, flat, and missing the kind of precision you expect when a dish is priced at a premium. The pricing only highlighted the gap. These are luxury-level numbers attached to items that don't carry the weight of that price. Nothing about the experience justified the markup, and the store seems strangely confident no one will question it. People do question it. And once you notice the disconnect, it's hard to unsee.

This place should be investigated for fraud. Absolutely appalling state of things in this store trying to rip consumers off. Tiny portions, STUPIDLY expensive, hot food was ice cold and bland. Their "famous" chicken fingers are clearly just frozen tenders marked up to silly price points. Complete tourist/faux influencer/trust fund baby trap to get people to spend ridiculous money on basic products. $30 for a small thing of chicken salad that was so mid, legitimately so underwhelming. I make a WAY better batch using a supermarket rotisserie chicken for like $7 and you get way more. Don't give these people your business, it is basically price gouging. Just go to Fairway or Wegman's which are both excellent quality and reasonably priced with fantastic pre-prepared foods. Meadow Lane is a joke, poor quality, appalling pricing, rude staff, lack of effort, couldn't recommend this place less. Everything that is bad and wrong about NYC in one business.

Meadow Lane is definitely the bougie grocery store Tribeca needed, but it's got its hits and misses. I stopped by on a weekday evening, which was nice because there was no line, which was a huge plus. However, a lot of the prepared foods were already sold out, which was a little disappointing, especially since I was looking forward to trying more of their options. The store itself is gorgeous. The aesthetics are on point, and you can definitely tell they've invested heavily in making it a beautiful shopping experience. It's sleek, modern, and definitely has that upscale vibe. But with that comes the price tag, which has been the subject of a lot of complaints. Honestly, some things are definitely on the pricier side, but considering the audience they're catering to, I kinda get it. Plus, the overall vibe and the location in Tribeca are factored into the markup. Now, let's talk about the goods. I picked up a few things. The chicken nuggets ($15 before tax) were a letdown, they felt undercooked to me, and honestly, I didn't even finish them. At first, I thought maybe it was just me, but then I saw other reviews online mentioning the same issue with undercooked nuggets, so I'm guessing it's not just a one-off. Not enough condiments either, so they were a little dry, so definitely won't be getting those again. The caramelized onion dip ($14 before tax) was amazing, though. Super delicious and had a good balance of the onions and the creaminess of the dip. I also grabbed a slice of pumpkin cheesecake pie at the cafe, which was good. A few quirks, they were sold out of the cute blue checkered bags, which I was really hoping to snag. Also, the nut milks seemed way overpriced for what they were, but again, I know that's just part of the whole "luxury grocery store" experience. One thing that stood out: the matcha from Montauk General was $74, but honestly, that's just Montauk prices for you, not just Meadow Lane. And yes, they charge for bags (as most NYC shops do), so be prepared for that. Overall, I'll be back to try more of the prepared foods, especially the salad bowls, they looked delicious. But I think I'll be more selective about when I go. This is a fun stop for a special occasion or when you're in the mood for something fancy, but it's not somewhere I'd come for a regular grocery haul.

This space is beautiful! Love their unique CPG brands & that smaller brands are being showcased. I've had quite a few of their prepared foods, enjoyed the Chinese chicken salad, turkey chili and obsessed with the pink juice + Iced matcha. Service is great! Good spot to grab lunch during the work week for sure.

This supermarket is very aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Super clean and organized. Smaller than I thought, then again I had no idea really what to expect. They are known for some of their hot foods : Chicken tenders, chicken salad ( when I went they were all out) their meatballs and their mac and cheese. I got the mac and cheese and turkey pinwheels. They also have a coffee bar, which seems to be very popular. I did not get any coffee drinks. The fruit and veggies here look very fresh too. There is also pantry items, juices and other drink options too. If you do not like to wait in lines I suggest you go on the early side. They sell out of their chicken salad fast it seems. You are only allowed to get 5 hot food items. Alot of them seem to go fast. Only a certain number of people are allowed at a time. At least, for now since it is pretty brand new. The line to check out was not too bad though even though there are only two registers. But, because they only let a certain number of people in the line goes somewhat fast to check out. I may go back during the week though when it may be a little less crowded and earlier in the day. I never heard of this place until a few days ago on social media. Oh and price wise it is true that it is pretty pricey! I got three prepared meals two containers of pinwheels and the mac and cheese... That is it. With tax and all it came out to be $64.00!

Respectfully, this place is a social experiment. This place is catered towards tiktokers who have no taste in food, but only care about an aesthetic. The chicken salad was good, but $30 for a small thing is chicken salad and half filled onion dip is thievery. The other items we tried were extremely mediocre and not worth the absurd prices. Also, the store felt empty and there weren't many options. Best of luck to the owner but would recommend expanding the inventory and having better hot food options for the insane prices! Plenty of better options in the neighborhood.

From the man at the door to the whole experience I can only say good things. For a brand new business, the service is amazing, my sandwich was delicious. The soup was perfect for a cold day. I am thrilled to have them in my new neighborhood. We just moved here part time and needed our new Erewon. Way to go Meadow Lane, we are looking forward to being a frequent shopper. For the negative reviews, isn't time we try to support one another rather than trying to tear others down?

Chicken nuggets were $15 and not even cooked properly. The store is using frozen Aramark nuggets and marking them up like 500%.

Another "aesthetic" supermarket for Instagram obsessed nouveau riche people. $74 for a can of matcha powder? Absurd. Oh, but you get a cute little wicker basket to place your obscenely overpriced groceries in before you spend what used to be half-a-month's rent on carefully curated canned goods. This is everything wrong with America in the year 2025. Give me a break.....

Well that was fun even though I felt a bit rushed because I knew there was a 30 minute wait outside. I should have taken more time. The salmon bowl was super fresh (didn't care for the sauce). Grabbed and tried the beef bowl too. Good but didn't like that sauce either. The chicken salad was ok. Wish it didn't have mayo. Loved the pink juice and definitely gonna reuse the glass bottle. I'd like to go back and try more things......I just can't deal with that line especially on my lunch break.

While there seems to be mixed reviews on the internet, I appreciate the owner coming online and admitting to mistakes being made and fixing them accordingly. Went in and grabbed a few items, the store design is incredible. Love the flower arrangements.
