Chicago’s 2023 Eater Award Winners | Eater Chicago

"A convivial Logan Square drinking den that opened in September 2022 and quickly became notable for exacting yet unpretentious cocktails and playful, character-filled presentation: drinks were conceived by a bartender with experience at the Violet Hour and are offered in an illustrated, bound menu styled like antique ornithological texts. The bar’s creativity extended to an ambitious tribute menu inspired by the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition, and even after the original bartender stepped back from day-to-day operations, the program stands as a hopeful model for the future of neighborhood cocktail bars." - Ashok Selvam

I can't say enough good things about our trailer park and the manager, Charles! Since he has taken over, the entire park has been absolutely transformed. It's so much cleaner and more well-maintained, which makes a huge difference. Beyond that, Charles is incredibly friendly and always willing to go the extra mile to help with anything. His positive attitude and dedication have made our community a much better place to live. Highly recommend!

I stopped by the office and the park seemed much cleaner and nicer than it was in years past. Looks like the new owners have made many improvements. I know the community manager and she would not work for a company that did not operate with integrity. The staff is kind and very capable. I believe they are doing everything they can to help fix current issues and bring conditions up to a higher quality for their residents. Unfortunately major projects and improvements take time and, in this day and age, A LOT of money. I've seen the plans for the park and I feel like their goals, once achieved, will make Meadowlark an even better place to live.

A HUGE thank you to the new management here!! When we visit friends, now, I can tell the incredible work that they are doing to clean up this area. It feels friendly and inviting. There are even attempts at planting beautiful flowers and shrubs. It's so nice to see this new management work so hard to create a safe, clean and inviting space to live. Thank you!! This is quickly becoming a beautiful area for families to feel comfortable in!

I am a resident at Meadowlark, in the last few months I have seen the manager out mowing , picking up garbage, talking with the residents . She always waves and smiles when I am coming home or leaving for work. The park is starting to look great flowers planted . It is so nice to go to the mailbox, and it so clean. With flowers boxes and a garbage can . It is so nice to see her riding around delivering water . She seems to really care for everyone.

I bought a mobile home in Meadowlark and absolutely love it here. The new management is great and really cares about cleaning up some of the older homes. The lot size is fantastic. You don't feel like you are so close to your neighbor that you can see what they are having for dinner! My dogs have a nice big fenced yard. Lots of room to run. I would highly recommend this place.

I have had nothing but fantastic experiences with the management and maintenance staff at Meadowlark. I work for a contracting company and have been in and out frequently as well as looking into potentially moving into the park myself. Yes, I would happily move into the park! They are doing everything they possibly can to make the water right (along with many more items being fixed)! I can’t wait to see what they do for Meadowlark!

I personally know the Community Manager, and I know for a fact she would not work for a company that were Slum Lords. She has been in many meetings and working hard to improve the Trailer Park for everyone. I know for many years it was one of worst ones in Billings. She has been the Manager for a short time, but I will tell you she is trying her best to make it a better place to live. And remember it takes time, and remember she just works there and does not own it. She is in the middle between the residents and the Company that owns it.

We have lived her for 11 years; my husband grew up out here (40 years). Pam and her crew are amazing. I have no worries about my 10 year old out wandering around with his friends. A playground would be a nice addition, tho. Overall, I am happy with the environment here.
