"A lovingly restored Georgian building is the setting for this charming restaurant. You enter via the back of the building, through an illuminated garden, and are then warmly welcomed into a beautiful dining room, where the lovely handmade tables have the menu and cutlery hidden in a drawer. The finest produce, be it lobster or quail, is delivered via a skilfully prepared tasting menu, where deep flavours come together perfectly and there's the odd playful touch, like dessert served across several dishes to share. Three restful bedrooms provide the perfect overnight escape." - Michelin Inspector

A birthday gift from my wife’s son and daughter and law … what a gift !!!… impeccable service , amazing complex and delightful food. God knows how but the chefs bring the dishes and explain the level of complexity whilst also clearly working to the highest standard in the kitchen. Who knew you could make a sauce from the rind of an aged Parmesan ??!! Stand out dishes , quail liver parfait canapes, pumpkin and parmesan with truffles, a really punchy hare dish with the most complex sauce…and as if that wasn’t enough three amazing deserts … tipsy cake to die for!!! We are coming back and bringing others !!! …congratulations to the whole team and thank you for an amazing evening

The food is incredible. Greg has thought about every detail and each dish has it's own story. From last season's cucumber, to the trout caught in a very specific location, at a certain time. Each dish is heaven and it's a tough job at the end to decide which is your favourite. Save yourself for dessert because that's an event in itself. We had the Fine Wine Pairing which I also recommend. I could listen to Rebecca talk about wine all day. Again, there is a story of the producer, the vine and how something magical happened to make this wine so perfect. The setting is intimate and the service excellent. A real treat.

Meadowsweet has to be up there in the top few of my fine dining experiences over the years, for me it beats some restaurants with more Michelin Stars. What was really lovely was the chef serving some of the food, something you rarely get to experience. An evening to remember.

Looking for a fine dining restaurant in North Norfolk? Go to Meadowsweet, you will not be disappointed! All the staff are very attentive to any needs or questions you may have, and I was also treated to some recipie books to peruse during course (as a solo diner, this was a first for me and a very nice touch!) And the food... Just amazing. Fresh local produce, and creative dishes which capture the best of the ingredients. This is easily one of the best dining experiences I have had, and I will definitely be going back.

Simply the most spectacular food we've ever eaten. Every mouthful was a multi-layered experience. I ate ingredients I "don't like" because it seems that whatever this Head Chef and his talented team touch turns to culinary gold. Rebecca's wine pairings were exquisite and her storytelling around the origins of each enchanting. Glad we saved this for a special anniversary.

A really fantastic experience, not a disappointing course in the taster menu. The lobster was a particular highlight of mine. Staff were the right level of attentiveness. Well deserved 5 stars

Found this small place in the Harden’s guide- freshly awarded Michelin star. Lovely room, quality fittings and contemporary decor. Food was exceptional and clearly deserved of the recent award. Front of house and indeed all staff had a lovely friendly charm and humour. Only fault I could raise is the 2 lumps on my head from the very low ceilings from the lovely old building.. a top quality place by any standards from what I believe are morston hall prodiges, and it shows! Thanks for the lovely stay

The Meadowsweet offers sublime food, attentive and friendly service, with comfortable and well appointed rooms. What's on offer here is a showcase of great hospitality in all regards; they are clearly very worthy of a Michelin star. We very much look forward to visiting again and I would recommend this as one of the best places to dine and stay in Norfolk. I visited with my partner, for my birthday. We opted for the dine and stay, which was very reasonably priced. The food was all simply delicious; the roast hispi cabbage memorably so. The wine pairings were all good matches and a joy to drink. We were left feeling truly stuffed, so it was good to only have a short stagger up the stairs to bed. Breakfast was equally excellent, albeit we struggled to do it and the brilliant hospitality justice as we were still pretty full from the night before! It is worth noting that there is no parking on-site, but there is plenty nearby - there are a number of spaces at the end of Pound Close opposite the restaurant.
