If you are looking for a great place to volunteer or give a meaningful donation this is the place. Help fight hunger and loneliness in the senior community! They are excellent stewards of the dollar, have an incredible staff, and serve terrific food delivered to senior’s homes.

I continue to be impressed by the commitment of this organization to seniors in our community who face food insecurity and/or social isolation. I can’t think of any program that has a bigger impact addressing hunger, loneliness & safety for this vulnerable population.

Google
Gaslighting at its best. I know first hand the quality of their food is worse than that of the grocery stores cheapest frozen tv dinner. They used to serve my dad until he passed away.. and every-time he could barely finish the garbage they brought. Yet they are in a brand new building and ceo and other top execs make 6 figures???? What a damn shame. I wouldn't give this organization a single penny.

MOW does great work in the community. My sons eagle project was to donate emergency preparedness supply kits to MOW.

The staff and volunteers there are excellent & really do the best they can to help people in a potentially very vulnerable period in their lives. Their good work continues w/ home contactless delivery and calls to seniors to check in on them.

Thank you so much Meals on Wheels plus the Awesome and Amazing Volunteers.

Google
What a great organization. Feeding the homebound. I stopped by to volunteer. It takes five hundred volunteers per day to get those meals out. Do your best to volunteer or donate to this organization. You never know, it might be you that needs it one day.

Yelp
I just received my 2nd meal from Meals on Wheels, and I have to say, I'm delighted -- not only by the kindness of the deliverers, but by the food. It's much better than I expected - was still warm -- and filling and delicious. Thank you so much!

Yelp
lately meals on wheels "Beaverton Oregon."seems like the meals are scrapes. I used to receive a 1/4 chicken breast or thigh in my chicken meals. now you a couple cubes like 2or 3 and the rest is all rice and veggies. abd scrapes they put together and call it. Cassie's you can it's left overs because there is small frozen veggies. the. they add other veggies not cooked all the way to hard for me too eat. and why do u get so much fish dishes like their trying to get rid of the fish. miss labeled u thought i getting pork and it was fish. the quality went down for the month. I appreciate the meals but I im more worthy than scrapes. the meals used to so good. But now i feel they think i not worth quality. While the CEI makes over 500.000 a year seniors get crap.

Yelp
After 2+ years of receiving meals as a Senior citizen, who qualifies for the program, over 60+ , they told me, I do not qualify for the program anymore! What a burden, since their regulations have changed. One has to be homebound in order to receive meals. The cost of living is up, my rent went up $100 as well. The food prices, cost of living so high, that is acknowledged as of 01-01-2023. How is it that if you're a healthy Senior citizen, over 60+, low income, NOT qualify for meals? I got a response from an Advisor of Meals on Wheels and they advised me to call Instacart??? Hello? You have to pay Instacart, plus your groceries. So disappointed on how my renewal was justified. There is NO TRUST in this organization!!! Signed Anonymous

Yelp
Valentine's Day sucks. There, I said it. I have pretty much given up on going out to dinner on V-Day because it seems you just can't win. Places I want to go are booked way in advance (last year, Paley's practically laughed when my friend called for a reservation in January) and then there is the whole 'special menu' pricing, trying to find a sitter, etc. Just way too much pressure to have a 'magical' evening for a relationship - new or old. Besides, I am a strong believer that true love is most profound in the little everyday moments and not the grand gestures. What do I like about Valentine's Day? Getting a little treat for my mom and dad who are sweethearts all year round. The last few years I've ordered a Valentine-A-Gram (https://www.valentine-a-gram.org/) from Loaves and Fishes and it is always a big hit. Loaves and Fishes is a local non-profit that provides meals and companionship to seniors (no, not that kind of companionship!). Their vision statement is "No senior will go hungry or experience social isolation." A former co-worker also volunteered regularly for the organization and I've always gotten a good vibe from them. The products in the Valentine-A-Gram are donated by local businesses, so 100% of the purchase price goes to providing meals for seniors. In past years, the gift boxes have been a mix of products ready for consumption and gift cards for the rest. This year, orders must be placed by Feb. 9th and are delivered on Friday, Feb. 13th. So, I wish you all a very Happy V-Day with as much companionship as your heart desires.

Yelp
Tasty, fresh meals with different options. Very nutricious. I like it. Company does a very good job.
