Meals on Wheels San Antonio

Another typical charity that claims to help people in need but refuse to help. If in TX don't count on receiving help from these people or too many others. They simply only help basically those who are in their death beds and can't get out of bed! This "charitable" organization also discriminates based on age! I'm disabled can barely walk or stand but she was the first of multiple reasons I was denied benefits. Staff was unfriendly Speaking to a live person and getting help period is next to impossible. Just don't waste your time with these people or think they are willing to offer you help because they don't care and simply don't wish to help or offer services to those in true need!

I discovered 8 years ago that my elderly neighbor was in desperate need of assistance. And now consider him my brother and do what I can for him and around his place. But I reached out to Meals on Wheels here in Bulverde and what a blessing they have been. For a while there it was hard to get him to eat anything(95 lbs(recovering alcoholic ) but now that he has regained his ability to taste, the highlight of his day is getting handed his Meals, always with a happy, friendly smile. He says everything they bring is delicious. Believe he's up to 115lb. He is such a humble being and beams with joy just show me any extras they bring. He doesn't think about bills, but we all know that 1,000 SS it's hard to stretch these days .🤲💞

They suck. I have chf I don't have any food struggling with rent and food and they denied me. TX help sucks. I'm reading reviews it seems things were better until recently. Need new workers more compassion I didn't realize they owned the company are they saving the food for themselves or their family.

Meals on wheels is a heaven sent organization with the best people and volunteers San Antonio can provide. This is an example of true love for our elderly and our community.

Most of the meals are not even edible so if you can find another way of getting meals I would. About half the stuff they deliver goes in the trash or in the garbage disposal.

I've only been served by Meals on Wheels for 2 weeks and this week I only received meals on 2 out of 4 days. Also your portion sizes are small. I hate complain about such a worthy organization, but if you can't be reliable, people go hungry! Food is important to get right. Also did not care for the dismissive "nothing we can do" attitude of your customer service person.

I am very grateful for the Meals on Wheels organization. My senior mother used to get meals from them when she was on her own. I am especially grateful for the alzhiemers assistance that I'didnt know they provided until recently. This organization provides monthly activities for seniors to keep busy. These are mailed to you for their entertainment. They also have a new facility that we have yet to use. The new facility is Grace Place and is a respite center for caregivers of Alziemers patients. Bless you for the services you provide.

I give a lot of thanks to all people involved in this service. WHEN I DO get the meals, they are delicious and portioned just right. But I really disagree with them giving us 2 chances on missing food deliveries and after that you are removed from the program. I have only been on the program for 2 1/2 months and today is the 4th time I haven't received meals. When I call to let office personnel know, they just say..." Yes, you will be getting your meals". But it turns out to be a "No Show" and i spent ALL day waiting for no one to come. 😒
