Downtown’s modern gastropub pairs a dialed‑in patty with house touches like pastrami pork belly and aged cheddar. Frequently cited by Thrillist and Pittsburgh Magazine, it bridges comfort and craft.

Really liked the atmosphere of this place! Very calm and relaxing vibes, and even though the dining area is on the smaller side, you’re still able to enjoy your meal in privacy. The greeter was so beyond sweet and the food was really good. Definitely want to come back and try the bone marrow!

The hosts who welcomed us were really nice (2 ladies). The waiter was a bit cold, also didn't check on us regularly during dinner. The 50oz tomahawk definitely didn't have as much meat as I thought (the main weight was the bones), but the quality and flavor is decent. Overall a nice dining experience.

This restaurant is amazing! This is actually the first time I've tried an amaretto sour with an egg white on top and I don't think I ever want to drink them another way. The bartender was exceptional and really patient with us even though they were close to closing time. We ordered the bone marrow appetizer and it was so well prepared. Every single thing they give you pair with it is such a good contrast in flavors. They really know how to diversify a pallet. Will be back!

Very good overall experience. The interior is nice which is where we sat. Lot of decor on the walls. Bar menu is extensive. The starters were good, the cheese toast was awesome. I got the beef Wellington for entree and it was amazing. Well cooked and a ton of flavor. It did take 1 hour to prepare though so be aware, especially with the time limit. Reasonably priced overall for what you're getting. Dessert options available.

We stopped in before a show at Heinz Hall. They were booked completely for table service, but we got bar service. We enjoyed everything, from the ambiance to our meals. The service was a perfect mix of attentive but not bothersome. We sat right in front of the bartender and enjoyed watching them make drinks. Definitely would stop again.

Absolutely incredible, I wish I could give higher than 5 stars. The food and service was next level. I always have a certain expectation when I'm visiting a fine dining restaurant, this met and exceeded any and all expectation. I will absolutely be returning in the future - there is a reason we had to put in a reservation over a month in advance for a prime time spot on a Saturday.

SerpAPI
One of my favorite restaurants in Pittsburgh. Bone marrow is always a must and they even offered a gluten free option for the bread. Highly recommend to anyone in town. Definitely make reservations in advance

we loved this place. Ambiance 10/10. Drink menu 10/10. Food 10/10 but we ordered the tomahawk - took half to go home. They did not include the bone &we were very much broken up about this.

Yelp
Modern gastropub serving delicious New American dinners, diverse brunch items & creative cocktails. Located in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh, within walking distance of the Cultural District.  A warm and welcoming space that features comfort foods, along with classics with a twist and simple dishes that are satisfying. Their mixed drinks are rustic and inventive- very thoughtful and tasteful! Had the Caramel Appletini Cocktail, Welsh Rarebit, Fried Brussels, Rigatoni Alla Vodka, Shrimp and Grits Every single thing was incredible, full of flavor & perfectly curated with spices! Highly recommend grabbing tickets for a show& making a reservation at Meat and Potatoes!

Yelp
If you're into comfort food with a fancy twist, this spot is a must-try. The vibe is super cozy--dim lighting, modern decor, and just the right amount of fancy without feeling over the top. I ordered the pig candy and it was tasty. The meat could have been a little more tender it practically was a pork chop with a crispy, caramelized edge that added just the right amount of crunch. The mac & cheese was rich, could have been a little creamier , and topped with a Cheeto crust that made every bite extra satisfying. Together, the two dishes hit all the comfort food notes but with a little extra flair. The collard greens I tried were a standout, too. Smoky, a little vinegary, and perfectly cooked--not mushy, just hearty and flavorful. You could tell a lot of love went into making them. The staff was friendly and on point, and the overall vibe made it great for a chill dinner with friends or a low-key date night. This spot nails that balance of comforting and elevated. Definitely going back for that pork belly!

Yelp
One year later and the same still holds true - Meat and Potatoes is a total food paradise! The service was excellent, as it is at every DeShantz restaurant. The food: We started with Parker house rolls and a Caesar salad. The rolls are soft, warm, tasty and everything you want to start a meal. The pear jam was soooo tasty, and the flaky sea salt on top gave a perfect salty-sweet flavor combo. The anchovies on my Caesar took it to the next level! So much good flavor and texture - umami and crunchy. Get the half chicken, folks! My picture does not do justice - it's huge and truly a half chicken. The depth of flavor was incredible. Crispy skin was the chef's kiss. The broccolini underneath was a complete flavor bomb of deliciousness. My wife got scallops and cleared her plate. My little taste had delectable flavor. We also got carrots for a side... my picture was blurry. But the garam masala added such a unique flavor. The carrots are spectacular. We ended with the pumpkin cake - WOW! The caramel, the pumpkin, the ice cream... just wow!! So good! Get this!! We had such a great evening!!

Yelp
This is a trendy place to grab dinner and a drink alone or with a friend, but it's not a romantic-date atmosphere, what with the close tables and loud music. My black tie Manhattan was dark and smoky, as the server promised. I made a meal of the bone marrow on the thick crusty bread and potato-leek soup. My partner--the meat and potato eater in our relationship--had steak with a mountain of fries. The steak was fine but he really liked the fries, which reminded him of Steak and Shakes', but better. We might have lingered over coffee and dessert, but we found the interior temperature chilly and so broke it off early. It was definitely a perk to take the elevators in the building to/from the parking garage on a chilly winter night.

Yelp
Meat & Potatoes is a solid choice in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh. I love its proximity to the cultural district, so it's a great place to stop before or after a show. There's also lots of bars close by, including my favorite in the city, Con Alma. Upon entering, Meat & Potatoes has a speak easy vibe tucked away in the Cabaret Theater entrance. The restaurant itself is fairly small with a large bar in the middle. The tables along the wall are relatively close to one another, so it makes it difficult to avoid overhearing conversations of the guests right next to you. Nonetheless, my husband and I had a great time! We ordered the rolls to start off our meal. The salted butter was a special touch, but the strawberry pink peppercorn sauce was the star of the show! The mix of sweet and savory was perfection with the mini homemade dinner rolls. As well, I also ordered the lobster bisque to try. This wasn't my favorite dish; it actually came out pretty lukewarm and didn't have a strong sherry taste, which I like. However, the extra attention to detail with the design on top left me excited that I tried the dish! For our entrées, my husband ordered the vegetarian meatloaf, and he loved the dish. He ordered a side of truffle fries as well, and they were perfection; the truffle oil was the perfect strength, just enough to taste it and not enough to overpower the fries. I may just be back for the fries alone. For my meal, I had the filet mignon with blue cheese. It was cooked to perfection and seasoned well. The blue cheese was the perfection addition to the steak as well as the duck fat potatoes! I also ordered the strawberry shortcake to take home. Everything was packaged in its own individual containers. The pound cake had a crispy crust with a density that made the dish decadent. I loved the lemon marscapone cream and the sugared strawberries. The strudel was the "icing" on the pound cake! This restaurant was delicious from start to finish, and it may have made my top 10 list in Pittsburgh! I can't wait to come back again!

Yelp
Elevated gastropub with tasty plates and cool, chill vibes. Service was great. A solid choice for a business dinner or date.

Yelp
Came here for dinner with a client. The drinks are good. I had the pork chop which was slightly overcooked but still good. The chop was on a bed of baked beans which were really good.

Yelp
This place was so beautiful inside. Even during the dinner rush and without reservations, we were served quickly. The macaroni and cheese is what really enticed me and it was great. A great place to go for date night or a special occasion.

Yelp
We had a 5:30pm dinner reservation and they put us in a private room. There were five of us so we family styled a lot of different dishes. We tried basically half the menu and it was amazing. My favorites were the crispy truffle fries, rigatoni alla vodka that had a kick to it, the cowboy cut ribeye special, and strawberry shortcake dessert! The service was lovely and overall we had a great time. We were a little sad that we didn't sit in the main dining area since it's such a cool vibe out there but next time!!

Yelp
Was walking around with mom trying to find a dinner place and stumbled upon this. Was very busy so we sat at the bar. Service ok, food speed ok. My pasta was undercooked and slightly cold, but flavor was great. Truffle fries were slightly on the oily end but I still ate them all up. Mom's lobster bisque was good for her. They have a nice dessert wine menu that is quite cheap. Nice vibes inside, feels right for a date.

Yelp
Still great food and decent service (even if the host was rude to the people who arrived before they opened at 5). Sadly, they eliminated all seating in the waiting area, which is rough on those who are older or injured. I like what they did to the decor inside & outside the restaurant tho and look forward to returning.

Yelp
Grabbed a spot at the bar before a show and tried an item I had never had at meat and potatoes before- the burger! This was a great well priced yet luxurious burger and I'm shocked I've never had it before!

Yelp
We got the sweetest server who made sure our party was well taken care of. She helped us take photos and even gave us a dessert on the house (we were celebrating a graduation). We made a reservation for opening at 5 pm, and there were already a lot of people waiting to get seated. The restaurant was beautiful inside, with a lot of character and decoration. Appetizers: The wagyu carpaccio was surprisingly refreshing--it tasted like Vietnamese pho with fresh herbs. The coconut curry mussels were delicious - each mussel was plump and juicy. The sauce was perfect to mop up with the toasted bread. We got a side of asparagus on top of some crumbled cheese. We also ordered truffled fries (yum!), at first they gave us the wrong order, but later on apologized and added the right order (not complaining about free fries!) Main: The Tomahawk steak with bone marrow--this one was cooked true to medium rare and was good. The bone marrow was so-so, there was barely anything on there. It can easily feed 3-4 people. The bone-in pork chop was pretty good, it was cooked well with bursting flavors. The lamb pappardelle was yummy as well. The braised lamb was succulent. The noodles were too al dente for me. Bathrooms were outside of the restaurant, which was a trip to get to.

Yelp
We came here for a Birthday celebration. The service was outstanding. Our server Dakota explained things well and was very friendly. The hostess was also very nice. The appetizers we got were fantastic. The rolls and the 'pig candy'. Everyone loved them. For the main course we got two steaks and a pub burger. The steak frites come with fries. The pub burger comes with fries. The filet came with potatoes. After trying everything I would have to say the pub burger was the favorite. And for 1/3 the price of either of the steaks the best value as well. Since it was a birthday we got a free dessert. Anyway Meat & Potatoes has a nice ambience and great service. If I went back I would stick with apps and the burger. The pub burger comes with pork belly (Ono!!!) and a fried egg and the fries were much better than the potatoes.

Yelp
Friendly staff with amazing ambiance already puts me in a great mood. The food was good. I love the thinly sliced wagyu and the tomahawk steak. Perfectly cooked with the right amount of meat and fat. My least favorite was the lamb pasta as it was a little too salty. Overall, this restaurant did not disappoint. And I'd love to try their other selection

Yelp
This place has the best vibes and comfortable seats. Our waiter, Andrew, was extremely accommodating with making sure things were gluten free. The mussels were the best part of our meal. We also had the scallops, steak frites, Caesar salad and tuna tartare. The steak was a bit chewy. We love the dessert!!! The toffee pudding -- definitely order it! We were extremely disappointed with the scallops. They were delicious but only came with 3. For the price, there should we at least 4 scallops OR more risotto on the plate. It was not filling at all even for one person. This place is a bit overpriced but we enjoyed nonetheless.

Yelp
Meat and Potatoes is one of Pittsburgh's long standing, classic restaurants. This was my second time here but the first time I came was over 10 years ago so... basically my first time again hahaha! They are located downtown right by all the theaters and they are perfect for a date night . We got a complimentary glass of champagne for our anniversary which was so sweet of them!! For a drink, I ordered the Red Blend. The red blend was super unique, I can't even describe it lol. For an appetizer, we got the Parkerhouse Rolls. The rolls were a little sweet but not overpowering. Sooo tasty!! I ordered the Filet Mignon for my main dish. The filet was amazing. They put blue cheese on it and it just went so well with the filet. My boyfriend ordered the Rossini Burger and it came with a side of rosemary fries that I also ate :) The fries were great. My boyfriend said the burger was extremely flavorful and juicy. The service was fabulous as well. The guy that we had was super nice!! I'm so happy that we decided to dine at Meat and Potatoes. We are definitely going to be adding them to our restaurant routine! They are pretty small so if you want to go I highly recommend reservations.

Yelp
Old-school cool. After much coaxing, I was finally able to talk my husband into heading to Meat & Potatoes to try the Beef Wellington. His opposition? Good wine would be "ruined" by the crust on the beef. Thanks to a great bartender (we sat at the bar) who knew exactly what wine to pair with the meal, we had a fantastic dining experience that we both enjoyed and will repeat again soon. The decor and service were both superb, and the food was A+ perfection! The rub used on the beef before it was wrapped in the pastry dough sent the entree over the top, and the carrots were just the kind of simple offset required by a hearty main. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys the upscale steakhouse experience, but wants something a little different. One of my Pittsburgh favorites!

Yelp
Excellent dinner in Pittsburgh. Bone marrow was unique and yummy. Wedge salad was pretty ordinary. Hamburger and fries were solid and steak frites were a good portion. Mac and cheese was good. Dessert of strawberry shortcake was very good. Could be on heavier side but shared between three of us. All in all, a wonderful experience in a nice classy and cavernous setting. Service was great too (Dakota was server)

Yelp
I can't say enough good things about Meat and Potatoes. My standard salmon was anything but standard. Korean sauce, kimchi, Chinese sausage, fried egg, and black rice. It's unusual but it works in the weirdest way. The fingerling potatoes cooked in the buttery melt-in-your-mouth sauce completely hit the spot. The service was fast and friendly (our server was funny and brought personality and spice to the table which was appreciated). Great wine list, and a touch of class, postcards of Pittsburgh of yesteryear were provided with receipt. I has a wonderful experience and encourage anyone reading this to please check them out.

Yelp
My friend and I shared 50oz tomahawk ribeye (medium) and mashed potato, the desirable top quality steak is absolutely fabulous with tender meat and crunchy edge, I also love the tendon part which provides a rich taste. Definitely one of the best steakhouses in Pittsburgh!
google avatar

April H.

Yelp
Great date night spot. Nice ambience and excellent service. I really enjoyed the steak & frites. Steak was tender and flavorful. Fries were delicious. I wasn't a huge fan of the fried brussels - they were a bit over fried and salty for my taste. We got the strawberry shortcake for dessert, which was excellent and I highly recommend it. Overall, glad I got a chance to try Meat & Potatoes!
google avatar

Kristana K.

Yelp
I had the salmon on kimchi and black rice with Korean sausage, which was interesting with complex flavors. The environment was nice and lively even though I went early. Good service, although I felt a little bit pressured to order more than I did. The bar seems like a great place to sit and watch the world with good libation options.
google avatar

Katheleen C.

Yelp
The atmosphere is much upscale than the name would suggest. Service was very friendly and importantly PROMPT! They managed the crunch of a Steelers game, a Bruce show and the post game Pirates crowd. I had the lobster bisque and a side of creamed spinach. Fabulous! My companion had the rigatoni and raved. When I book these reservations a few weeks earlier, the restaurant even asked what our plans were and managed our service accordingly. I will be back!!

Yelp
My boyfriend took me here to celebrate our 2 year anniversary and I was so spoiled with this amazing experience. It was such a fancy and adorable place to celebrate! I loved the aura here -- the dim ambiance with lit candles made it so cozy, fancy, and intimate. Here's what we tried: Root to Berry: - A non-alcoholic seltzer flavored with strawberry, lime, & ginger - I didn't like the ginger flavor in it, it made it too spicy DreamLife: - Another non-alcoholic seltzer flavored with vanilla, lemon, orange, & orange blossom water - The orange & vanilla combo was yummy - I liked this one a lot more than the Root to Berry - Wasn't too sweet which I enjoyed Roasted Bone Marrow: - Interestingly topped with caper-raisin relish, celery, & marcona almonds, but surprisingly so good - Paired with sourdough - Toppings were soo yummy especially the raisins that added a sweet twist to it Filet Mignon: - I ordered this medium rare, and oh my god it was SOOO tender it literally melted in my mouth - The only reason I didn't enjoy this dish as much is because the filet mignon was topped with blue cheese which I don't like -- I should have gotten it without blue cheese - The roasted potatoes that it came with was the perfect softness & paired well with the cognac sauce, but it was a bit too bland Steak Frites: - Like the Filet Mignon, I ordered the NY strip medium rare and it was so tender, so juicy, so yummy & literally melted in my mouth - Loved the buttery, garlic sauce that topped this steak. It paired SO well together - Normally comes with rosemary fries, but my boyfriend loves truffle fries so we asked for a substitution & they were so generous to make that accommodation that for us! - The truffle flavor was so rich, but I thought the fries were just slightly overcooked. It was really crispy, and I wish it had been a little softer, but overall were still great To top off our meal, we ended with the lemon & blueberry creme brulee which was also so mind blowing yummy. The custard was so rich, and I loved the layer or caramelized sugar on top. I also really liked the unique lemon flavor that made it taste extra special. The service here was fantastic. They were so polite, accommodating, and well-mannered. They changed all our utensils after every course. I would highly recommend coming here to celebrate a special occasion!

Yelp
$25 cancellation fee per person Rude hostess Waitress was delightful Lamb pappardelle was yummy Bogus drink charge - vodka martini was charged by vodka, plus martini charge $4, plus olive charge $1.50. Will not be returning and do not recommend.

Yelp
My son and his finance made reservations here when I was recently in town! I lived the ambiance! I ordered the the Wygu beef carpaccio for an appetizer and the double cut pork chop wit collard greens! Yum! The pork chop was huge and couldn't eat the whole thing! It was cooked perfectly! The service was excellent and the wine list was great!
google avatar

Yelp
This place has a cool vibe, dim lighting. The bar in the middle of the restaurant is pretty cool, tons of different kinds of whiskey. I got there a little early, about15 min before my reservation. They said my table wasn't ready, but there were lots of tables open. Not sure, maybe they were short staff. Anyway, I enjoyed a drink at the bar. The bartenders are not super friendly, but my Paper Plane drink was very good. Food was pretty good. The Wagyu Carpaccio was delicious. The filet was good, just not super flavorful. Lacked salt. Overall, I would go back.

Yelp
I still love coming here - the staff is always friendly and attentive, the food is always solid and a nice selection of cocktails and wines. We always stop by when we come downtown for a show. Great place and great atmosphere

Janelle M.

Yelp
We arrived without a reservation early Sunday evening and got a table immediately. Our server was personable and directed us to the Beef Wellington for Two. It did not disappoint, it was one of the best meals of my life. The sauce was the perfect compliment to the beef and pastry. The roasted vegetables melted in your mouth. I will be dreaming about the next time I can return to Pittsburgh and enjoy this dish again.

J G.

Yelp
Food was solid, service good. Restaurant has a nice (though a little loud) feel. It really is a "meat & potatoes" place, though our waiter said the shrimp & grits are popular (though a little light with only 3 large shrimp). The Wellington gets the best reviews and was good, though I wouldn't say amazing. The highlight was the marrow appetizer, a must try in my book (even though it looks like the same shin bone we give our dog). All in all a solid dinner at a solid place. (Oh, but almost no parking so plan ahead!!)

Yelp
Came to visit Pittsburg for a weekend and was recommended to come here by a friend. Coming from NYC, I would say I have extremely high standards for food and restaurants and this place blew me away. Got a few appetizers and the beef wellington, everything was amazing. The wellington was cooked to perfection. It was so good I almost went back the following night. Reverse price shock didn't hurt as the prices were very reasonable compared to NYC.
google avatar

Dante M.

Yelp
Absolutely our favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh for a special occasions! We celebrated our engagement here, and they treated us so well! They complemented us with a class of champagne which was unexpected and so nice! We split the Wellington for 2 and it was delicious! We also always get the fried Brussels, which is consistently good! There's so much good stuff I can say about this place and have recommended it to so many people, all of whom loved it! Check it out if you haven't!

Eric K.

Yelp
Way over priced, whatever cook thought ruining a good filet with all that crap on it is nuts Great old fashioned tho
google avatar

Neil D.

Yelp
The host and the server were quite literally the only redeeming factor here. The food was the biggest let down of our trip. $200 for 2 tough steaks. So disappointing, especially since we booked in advance and had been looking forward to our dinner for a while.
google avatar

Kaylie W.

Yelp
Overall, a pleasant combination of fine dining but the more casual atmosphere and menu of a gastropub. Food wise, it was original and had big portions. I felt that original was a fitting word because it offered some dishes that I haven't seen at other restaurants. [Wagyu Carpaccio] My favorite dish. All the starters looked interesting and fit my taste, so it was difficult to choose. This was perfectly done, and reminds me of a more western version of the beef tataki at their sister restaurant Gi Jin. [Coconut Curry Mussels] Flavorful and masked the sometimes too fishy taste of the mussels well. The sauce was really good, but doesn't taste that Thai in case that's what some people were looking for. [Beef Wellington] This is what we came for, but I think it's overrated. Not the restaurant's fault, but this dish in my opinion is just not worth the price. The steak felt too dry and a bit too overcooked, and it's been the case no matter where I've had it. Drink menu was pretty extensive. We didn't try the cocktails but tried the digestif that the waiter recommended. Nice pairing to end the dinner.
google avatar

Vicky F.

Yelp
It classy and has an amazing design. Love the atmosphere. Cocktails at the bar was just the best in town. We got a paperback flight (it's a bourbon with Aperol). All the food was incredible. Carpaccio is definitely wanna come back.

Todd T.

Yelp
This is our yearly visit to M&P before a show. We have never had a bad experience, and the food is always beyond compare and expectations. This time around, I got an appetizer feature as my meal, which was a duck thigh on a bed of red potatoes and 2 sauces. I got 2 sides. Fried Brussels and Fingerling Potatoes. Everything was heavenly. The duck cut like warm butter. The bone marrow is always a must! It already comes topped with your garnishes and a side of sliced toast. My partner got the pork chop, which he gets every time because he can't seem to choose anything else, it's that good. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the service. This is more of a formal setting even though guests can roll in casual attire. But the servers (not just this time) always seem to be afraid of interacting with you. They always seem so tense and allergic to fun conversation with the guests, which is awkward. However, Dakota was polite, attentive, and aware of the details of our dining needs and my allergies. We will be back!!

Michael N.

Yelp
Everything from the service to food was fantastic. But my favorite was the tartar. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great steak and really comfortable environment.
google avatar

Sydney T.

Yelp
A favorite spot in downtown for pre-theater shows! Food is not cheap by any means but it is delicious and high quality. The bar is beautiful. Restaurant overall has that classy feel. And we did very much enjoy our meal. It will remain our favorite spot before the Benedum/Heinz!
google avatar

Carl N.

Yelp
Really good food, service and ambiance! Surprisingly big portions for a restaurant this expensive, which was a plus! If you don't mind paying around $40-$70 for a meal, this is a fantastic choice!
google avatar

Richard C.

Yelp
Wow this place is pretty good. The prices are up there too. I opted to go for the pork chop since it was one of the cheapest items on the menu at $42. I must say it was hands-down the best pork chop I've had in my life. It was so delicious and even the bed of collard greens were amazing. There were 7 of us in our group and we were seated in the private room off to the side which was kind of small and very dimly lit. It was so small the waitstaff had trouble getting through. They did an amazing job though and everyone's food was amazing. I can't say I'll ever be back though, since Pittsburgh is a rare visit for me. I'm simply not in town often enough to give it another go.
google avatar

Bennett F.

Yelp
Really great meal!! Tuna was fresh and delicious Steak Frittes amazing Could be the best French Fries I've ever had...I'm serious go there for the fries if nothing else...you'll thank me later! Staff is friendly and inviting from the gracious hostess to the wonderful bartenders.

Yelp
We had an early dinner tonight with friends at Meat and Potatoes. We started at the bar, with friendly and prompt service. We were seated at our reservation time and table service was also very professional. We ordered salmon and pasta entrees, all of which were excellent. We'll return if we can get reservations again.

Yelp
I have gone here a couple of times for breakfast/brunch and always liked the place. I later found that they serve beef wellington and wanted to go again because not many places here have it, and I wanted to compare it to my own. Started with the wagyu carpaccio appetizer which was pretty good. The beef wellington is a "for two" item, and you also have to wait a little longer to get it as it is made to order. It is definitely really filling and I had to take some of it home. The vegetables it comes with are fantastic. The wellington was cooked well, and it came with a tasty sauce. I would also say its priced extremely fairly, as wellington can be kind of expensive to make even at home. Got dessert to end the night on a sweet note, but couldn't finish much of it as at this point I'm pretty full. It is like a chocolate mousse with a toasted pound cake. Table next to me got the 50 oz Tomahawk. Thing was huge but also looked pretty good.

Yelp
M&P is a staple of the theater district in Pittsburgh. Their Eclectic menu and spectacular drink specials never dissappoint. My wife and I enjoyed a wedge salad and Brussel sprouts to start...mmmmm. Then we moved to swordfish and vegan meatloaf with their salted rolls. While the entree's were smallish, they tasted exceptional. We finished the evening with a coconut cake and coffee...candidly, the cake might have been the highlight of the evening's dining experience . The service was attentive (sat at bar with Fallon), and the ambiance is always a great vibe for date night. This was not our first time here and certainly won't be the last!

Yelp
I have been a big fan of this place since it elevated the culinary scene in Pittsburgh. The ambiance is fantastic, drinks are well-crafted, and the food is amazing. As a pescatarian, I may normally balk at the idea of dining at a place with this name, but there are options for me, and plenty. They recently brought back the scallop dish from Butcher in the Rye, and it was just as exquisite as I remembered it! One of the best, unique restaurants in this city.

Yelp
This was easily the best meal I've ever had in the city of Pittsburgh. We started with the tuna tartare and it was Michelin star worthy. The Beef Wellington, Brussels, and PlumpJack Merlot were the perfect pairing. The staff was extremely hospitable and attentive to our needs. Couldn't of asked for a better way to ring in the New Year!
