Words can’t describe how delicious the House Made Pork Rinds, Inside-Out Juicy Lucy burger and made to order from scratch Mac & Cheese Skillet were at this place! You can hear the pork rinds crackling long after they set them down in front of you. The burger was just like the name, juicy! And even though I was full I couldn’t stop eating the mac n cheese! The staff were very friendly and attentive. There’s even salt scrub in the bathroom when you wash your hands! Definitely coming back to this place again!

Great Triple D hole in the wall! The bartender/server had a great personality and recommended all the best food. I wish this place was closer to home. I'm already craving another stuffed burger.

Ordered two inside out burgers 30- 35 minutes before close and got there 13 minutes before closing to make sure they didn’t close on us. Figured I’d have to wait till they were done. However they already had been sitting there as she stated. The lady at the front was very passive aggressive due to wanting to just leave and be done with the night. She seemed irritated even though we placed the order in enough time before closing via phone call , as if she was just pissed off and just wanted to leave . She acted in the same manner in person as well. We asked for the burgers to be medium. Let alone, behold, when we got home they were raw. As if they didn’t care whether or not it was cooked because they just wanted to leave. This absolutely unacceptable, I know the order wasn’t placed till 30-35 minutes before close. However, this is NOT OKAY. Take your time. And cook it right. All this is going to do for your business is lower the amount of dedicated locals that could come back for more, that in the end , will never order again. This is totally unacceptable, and poor sportsmanship on their end.

The wings were phenomenal! The fries were perfectly fried and seasoned. There's no weird aftertaste because they fry them in duck fat! The soup was good, the zucchini fries were yummy. The service .....Super friendly. Tiffany is just as friendly as she could be. These type of places are why small local businesses and mom and pop restaurants are the best. They have an impossible burger too for the non-meat folks.

I’m in love with this place! The service person was awesome! The food was both beautiful and tasty - fried peppers & pickles, burgers, pulled pork, and zucchini fries abound at our table. Fast prep, clean as a whistle, and fair prices for what you receive. Thanks MEAT!

The BEST burger!!!!! I got the inside-out juicy lucy and it was the best burger I've ever had i never finish a meal because portion sizes are too big however I absolutely inhaled this burger and wish I had room for more. 10/10 you NEED to try this place

This place was AMAZING. Everything was homemade and fresh. My older son didn’t even realize he forgot to put ketchup on his burger until the last bite. By far the best and least expensive place in the keys for a delicious burger! We got the patty melt special w zucchini fries - burger with fries - Mac and cheese of the day(spicy sausage) - shaved roast hoagie Loved everything!!

It’s been years since we’ve eaten here, but it’s just a good! We had the Nancy Pants and Juicy Lucy and both hit the spot. Fresh bread buns were perfectly toasted and patties were juicy and flavorful. We upgraded to truffle fries and everything was delicious as expected. Service was attentive and we enjoyed our late lunch at M.E.A.T.

This place was excellent! I had the Juicy Lucy Burger and it was cooked perfectly cooked and great with the pimento cheese. My hubby swears it the best pulled pork sandwich he's ever had. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're passing through on the way to the Keys.

Lots of beer options, great burgers, smokin' great wings, and tons of specials. Looks like a hole in the wall but a great stop for lunch and a drink. Happy hour was hopping too!

Everything is charred heavily and taste was off for what I believe is old oil. Popular place and not everyone shared my opinion.

Came here for dinner after it was recommended to us by a local. The place itself is super small and has a bar vibe, a little dark but super clean. It was empty when we walked in at 5:30. The woman working the counter was so nice and took her time to explain the ordering process, their homemade sauces and specials to us. We ordered a pulled pork sandwich and a cheeseburger both with onion rings. The food came out very quickly and was super hot. It's clear it was made to order and not just sitting around. Everything was amazing and the onion rings were probably the best I've ever had. Would definitely come back next time we're in the area!

Juicy Lucy for the win! If you are gluten free, no bun is a filling choice. We split the burger and fries. Everyone who worked there was nice (get a photo with the moose) We lived in MN and had the original juicy Lucy and I liked this better

Good grief, this place did not disappoint! I admit I have a difficult time craving anything other than seafood when I visit the Keys, but my husband has been begging me to go here so on our last trip we finally went. How good can a burger possibly be, you may ask? Beyond amazing!!! I had an inside out juicy Lucy with a lettuce bun and zucchini fries, and my husband had a special brisket patty melt. Both were out of this world. I may actually be salivating while writing this review...they also have homemade desserts and milkshakes, as well as unique sodas! We can't wait until our next trip and will definitely stop at MEAT again!

Best burgers in the keys, maybe even all of Florida. Inside Out Juicy Lucy is amazing. So juicy and cheesy, cooked to perfection. Fries are delicious and come with house made sauces. The beer selection here is always too choice, they are a verified venue on Untappd. They have seating outside, we came with our dog and it was super nice and easy. The service is always kind and helpful with the menu. Was always asking if we needed anything. This place rocks!

Sauces were good. Burgers okay. Service was good but food was just okay, not really blown away. Worth a try but nothing mind blowing.

Great little place in the keys. We came on a last minute whim and really enjoyed our burgers and Nutella shake. Service was great. Not giving it 5 stars because the AC was broken. It was extremely hot and beer was warm.

Interesting little place. The Juicy Lucy was the best I've had outside on Minneapolis. Everything was cooked to order and I got a free appetizer for the yelp check in. You order at the register and pick up your food. The place is solid if you are looking for a break for seafood. It's a small place with a large bar and about 6 tables.

This place is very low key, but the food is amazing! If you're looking for a beer and a burger or or other hot sandwich, wings, etc this is the place to go in Islamorada. This is kind of a bistro/taproom mix, with everything homemade, including the katsup, mustard and mayo. Someone here obviously takes a lot of pride in the food options. Some great appetizers from duck fat French fries to handmade pork rinds, coleslaw and smoked potato salad. This is where the locals go to eat. Oh, did I mention they have beer? The selection of drafts and cans is pretty spot-on. Tonight, I had the Nancy Pants burger with cheddar and a fried egg, and zucchini fries. And a Civil Society Fresh IPA. It was epic. This place rocks! And it's in Islamorada. Who knew?

WOW!! Super personable service and all the food was great! The Nancy Pants burger and smoked sweet potato salad were insane and definitely worth the "Best Burger 2024" award.

This place has been featured in different tv shows and has won different awards so we had try it. You order everything at the counter and they will bring it to your table. It is a small place, but we came on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't crowded. We started with the House Smoke Chicken wings: WOW. They bbq sauce they come bath with the combination of the blue cheese is perfection. I am not a big chicken wings person but this is definitely a must. We also ordered the truffled bistro fries: similar to any other. Not super special but I love everything with truffle. They have a ketchup mango sauce that is popular: I liked the flavor but the consistency was a little bit too watery. Hard to dip on. We also tried the Nancy Pants with cheese burger and the Inside-Out Juicy Lucy burger. The Nancy definitely takes spot #1: so juicy, so much flavor, perfectly cooked. By the way, If you like your burger well done, make sure to say it when you are ordering, otherwise it will be medium term. The vanilla milkshake was creamy and milky, but is not overly sweet. Good to accompany the burger. Overall: 10/10.

I had a Fancy Nancy. By far the best burger I've had in the Keys. The potato salad and truffle fries were delicious as well. Great service and reasonably priced. Really good happy hour - will definitely be back.

Best burger in town by a mile for sure. One of, if not the best burger I've ever had. Coming from someone who's been to Los Angeles, Phoenix, Toronto, Montreal... I know those aren't the burger belt, but overall, phenomenal food.

I was in Islamorada and decided to try this place because I had seen it on Diners Drive ins and Dives. Ordered the juicy Lucy burger and the chicken wings. Both were ok but unremarkable. The bottle of ketchup they brought me was spoiled though...I could see it bubbling on my plate. The server was nice enough about it though, she took 10% off the check. The beer selection was good too. If I was to return it would probably just be for a beer

We came here without knowing Guy Fieri had featured them on Diner's, Drive-ins and Dives. However, once we saw pictures and read about the things that were featured, we TOTALLY let that influence our order. I mean, I haven't thought about, let alone, consumed pork rinds in a couple decades. These were the absolute best I've ever had. My husband and I shared them and agreed it was a shame to leave any in the basket. Perfectly light, crisp and beautifully flavored. If you enjoy pork rinds, do not miss these. Next, I had the Inside-Out Juicy Lucy burger. Pimento Cheese and Bacon Stuffed burger topped with American Cheese, Lettuce and Tomato. Every bite was delicious. The sear/char on the burger was perfect and took me back to backyard bbqs. Not sure how they accomplished it but it was awesome. The melty cheese was next-level special. I honestly don't get hungry for burgers very much but this one wooed me in a big way. On the menu, I read how this burger was rated #1 burger in Florida 2015-2017 and I totally understand. It gets my vote for 2022. My husband had The Nancy Pants with cheese (Double). Gotta love the menu names and while it doesn't go with his personality, it was the taste he was after: two burger patties, American cheese and toppings. The menu told us this burger was in the Top 101 Burgers in America 2015-2019. Not quite as impressive but my husband said it was a great burger. Final Assessment: This is a great option for burgers anywhere but especially in an area that primarily features seafood. Order at the counter and then they bring it out to you. Pay at the counter when you leave. Highly Recommended.

It's not on the water, but the food is great. I often pick up a meal to take home. Service is quite fast. They also do an annual fundraiser for the local public school.

This restaurant is located in a strip plaza in Islamorada Florida. It's small so expect to wait for good food and drinks. They have a good selection of craft beer and can make a cocktail if you like. They even have adult milkshakes. We started with the smoked honey chipotle wings with blue cheese crumbles. They were cooked to perfection and finger licking delicious. We split the juicy Lucy . It was delicious also. We added the truffle to the fries and they were good. The owner stayed busy taking orders and helping in the kitchen. Staff is happy and keeps your drinks going. This is a hidden gem.

Had a late lunch at MEAT Eatery And Taproom on Wednesday afternoon. A fun menu of heavy and delicious treats, somewhere you absolutely have to be careful to not go overboard. Quality: MEAT Eatery And Taproom offers a menu of dishes you crave, making it a challenge to order. We started with a Fried Onion Ring Basket, which came with beer cheese on the side. Fantastic and filling. The House Pulled Pork Sandwich was simple and delicious, make sure to douse it with their BBQ sauce. The Nancy Pants With Cheese was a good burger, not quite my style, but a very solid patty. Don't skimp on the sauces and enjoy their house-made options of ketchup and mustard. A fun spot and one we barely touched the surface of the menu. Quantity: The sandwiches are a bit small, but come with huge sides Value: $7 for the Fried Onion Ring Basket. $12 for the House Pulled Pork Sandwich. $10 for The Nancy Pants With Cheese. Ambiance: MEAT Eatery And Taproom is located in a strip mall in Islamorada. The space has a diner feel, though the massive collection of beer signs remind you they have plenty of drink options. It is a relatively small location with seats along a bar and then a row of tables along the wall. Alternative rock music played in the background. Crowd: Busy lunch crowd. Service: The woman running the show was excellent. Parking: Shared parking lot for the strip mall.

Those of you who read my reviews no I am not one to give a one star to anybody, but candidly, if this is Guy Fieri's idea of putting his name on it, I may have to avoid any places he'd recommend in the future. My son and I who are season travelers, who have visited many establishments high and low and etc. were completely disappointed not only in the service which was beyond lacking, but how bad our stomachs felt after we ate whatever they served us. Prices are low but so should your expectations be so beware of signs out front saying number one burger in Florida, because if this is number one I'd hate to try number two. Hey I seriously hate writing reviews like this, as I don't want to hurt anybody's business but these people should reevaluate what they're doing.

Saw these guys last week on DDD and we just happened to be headed to MIA. Worked an extra hour into the drive schedule to make the stop and glad we did. Sat at the bar where Christine took care of us. Service was exceptional!!! We ordered zucchini fries, pork rinds with chimichurri sauce, the famous wings and the Nancy Pants double burger. Everything was awesome. The wings go through a pretty labor intensive process so seeing 6 for $16 didn't seem super crazy but if you are going to charge that much I would make sure my wings were a little meatier. But the sauce on those wings was deliEverything else seemed reasonably priced! We are picky burger eaters but still went for it. Really good burger. Great on temp and tasty. But I will say the pork rinds stole the show! That chimichurri!! Best cracklins ever!! Thanks for the great lunch and fabulous service! Would visit again!

Yummy sliders! Great beer & drink selections! We stopped for an early dinner & caught some Happy Hour specials. Hubs enjoyed his brew & I sampled a homemade soda! He ordered the 3 slider special & enjoyed two hamburger & one chorizo ones. His fries were great with in-house made mango catsup & housemade mustard. I had a green salad--mostly kale-- and one burger slider. Tasty. You only need a half salad if you get a slider. They seemed to be short staffed: the bartender did it all! You'll like this place. Small, intimate, with a cozy bar vibe. You can even sit outdoors--just remember this is an order at the bar place.

Great staff, great burgers and great atmosphere. My wife had been reading about this place on Facebook. We got the opportunity to try it and we were not disappointed. I will stop by here every chance I get while driving through the area.

Located in a small space at a strip mall, don't let the exterior turn you off. Depending on how busy they are you might order at the counter or at the bar or your table, but once the food arrives you will not regret anything. My wife went traditional with the Fancy Nancy with cheddar cheese. It actually came out medium (a rarity for a burger in a restaurant--no pun intended!). She said it was the best burger she has had in Florida... even the bun was delicious. I went with Juicy Lucy--a burger stuffed with pimento cheese and bacon. I have always found stuffed burgers to be a bit gimmicky, but this one was stunning and absolutely delicious. So juicy with a kick of flavor from the pimento cheese. Even the fries were excellent. The homemade mango chipotle ketchup was a swing and a miss for me. My daughter's Mac and cheese was good--not as legendary as the burgers though. But the place is called MEAT so no stars deducted for that!

So I wanted the food to be what the reviews suggested they would be, maybe I'm harsh, but I wanted a knock your socks off burger. Didn't get that. Group of 4 felt the same. Was the burger good, yes it was, but nothing I would come back for. Things that were delicious, the Nutella shake, the wings were a bit dry but I liked where they were going with them, and the ranch. Service was great.

Been coming here for years and I must tell you they do have the best burgers in the Florida keys by far. Be sure to get the corn and the strawberry milkshakes are absolutely delicious.

Went to MEAT Eatery and Taproom on a recent trip to the keys. I am a seafood lover, but there becomes a point where you just need a good solid burger or something to break up your food choices. MEAT Eatery is a great place to fill that craving. Their selection of burgers is outstanding, each one sounding more delicious than the last one. The most challenging choice was to figure out which one to try. This is when you wish that you could come back a try everything on the menu. I chose to go with the chorizo burger with an egg. The chorizo is fresh ground at the restaurant so it is made to make the perfect patty while bringing out the best chorizo flavors. The egg was eggceptional on top of the meat patty and I really enjoyed this meal. With my burger, I had the smoke potato salad which I would highly recommend. The smokiness is not overwhelming but adds so much flavor to the potato salad. MEAT Eatery has been recognized as the Best Burger in Florida and was featured on the show Diners Drive-ins and Dives. It is definitely a restaurant to visit while in the Florida Keys.

Absolutely delicious food! you feel like family when you walk in! The juicy Lucy is amazing. Pulled Pork sandwich is so tender. Place was packed at 11am! Will be back!

This is always a must stop while visiting the keys, it's Just south of Tavernier in a strip mall with the best burgers you'll ever have and absolutely the nicest owner and employees you'll encounter while in the keys. They will help you find what you want to eat, prepare it in a timely matter and chat with you even if they are crazy busy. They have a great selection of local craft beers and looks like wine on the menu now as well. I ordered the standard fancy nancy burger and it was amazing as always. We also orderer fried green tomatoes as an app, a pork sandwich and a lamb burger. Everything was terrific. Can't wait to see you again next year!

One and done type place. A lot of hype but their server had an attitude and the portions were too small for the price.

Be careful when you pay at this place. The check is very deceiving. When I went to pay they gave me a check with a total amount, a line for tip and a line for signing. That's it. No other information. What would you think if you would see a check like that? That you have to put tip. But the total didn't make sense to me. So I asked them for a check with line items. When I reviewed it the tip was already included. So I almost paid double tip. So this place is deceiving their customers into paying double tip. Never going back. Lost my trust. This is fraud and has to get reported to the state.
