My boyfriend and I love exploring new restaurants when we travel, and after hearing great things about Meat Market, we decided to give it a try. A heads-up—reservations fill up fast! We booked a few days in advance and were only able to secure a patio table, but luckily, the weather was perfect for outdoor dining. Location: The restaurant is situated in a pristine, upscale area with high-end shops lining the strip, making for a fantastic atmosphere. Service: Top-notch! We started with a bottle of wine at the bar while waiting for our table, and once seated, we had two attentive servers ensuring we were well taken care of. Food: Absolutely incredible! Every dish was beautifully presented and tasted just as good as it looked. Overall, Meat Market exceeded our expectations with its excellent service, stunning location, and outstanding food. Highly recommend making a reservation in advance—you won’t regret it!

My friend and I came here for dinner on Friday 12/20. I was skeptical because of the Google ratings but it actually would up being an amazing experience and I am not sure why the rating is so low. We got sat on the indoor/outdoor patio thing with the windows open and the heaters in the ceiling above us. The decor and ambiance were perfect and cozy. Such a nice vibe. Haley was our server, and u fortunately I forgot the name of the second server but they were both great and had solid recommendations and took care of us as we should have been at a place like this. We had espresso martinis that were delicious, a couple of other cocktails, plus multiple apps, entrees, and desserts. Everything was amazing. The crispy rice sushi was extremely memorable. That night they also had a seasonal cobbler which to our surprise wound up being a pineapple and cherry cobbler. Sounds wild right? Absolutely amazing. I’m going to try to recreate it at some point because that was everything.

Google
Not sure why this place is rated below 4 stars. I went with a group of foodies and we're typically tough critics of restaurants; we collectively agreed this place was worthy of a 5 star review. Everything we ordered was on point, cocktails included. All the steaks were cooked perfectly. The tuna tartar app was possibly one of the top 3 I've ever had. The scalloped potatoes were a little strange, it used apples so it had a sweetness that we didn't expect, but still enjoyed. The steak trio was a great dish because it gives you variety, and all 3 were delicious. The filet and tomahawk as well. The best sauce is easily the atomic horseradish truffle, trust me. I typically don't like horseradish sauce with steak, prefer something heartier but this is mild horseradish and cannot be slept on. I'm a huge chocolate advocate but felt the chocolate cake wasn't as rich as I'd hoped, some prefer this though. Still, the cinnamon bun is definitely the go-to dessert. Typical steakhouse bill, nothing outrageous. Would recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be back for more.

Google
Good spot for drinks and light food, especially for happy hour. The setting is clean and modern with lots of outdoor seating. Our waiter was very friendly and prompt. The drinks, appetizers and sides were great but I was disappointed with my steak. Good overall experience

Google
We had a great experience here! The sliders and dumplings were very tasty appetizers to start off the meal, though we could have done without the bone marrow—it just wasn’t our favorite. For the main course, we ordered the steak tasting trio along with cheese tater tots and onion rings. The steaks were absolutely amazing, and my partner loved the tater tots. The onion rings, however, could use more flavor. Our waiter was excellent and attentive, making our visit even more enjoyable. The garden tables are a perfect spot for people-watching. We’ll definitely be back!

This was our first time and I was pleasantly surprised. It was a busy night before a Tampa Holiday and run so professionally. Our table was ready upon arrival even with arriving early . Service was top tier and very kind on top of classy . Everything we ordered from Drinks to food was absolutely flavorful and top quality. Cannot wait to return back. The drinks were nice sized and well-made and friends say they even have a great happy hour we will have to check out !

Google
Date Night tonight. Thoughts: we were seated within 5 minutes after arriving (even though we were 15 minutes early). The place looks high end and was very clean. It is a touch loud but once you settle in you understand the noise level is because everyone is having a sensational dinning experience. Service was incredible!! Heather & Auggie were an amazing team who were flawless! Food was delicious. We had the fillet w/truffle butter, prime NY Steak, loaded mashed, mushroom skillet, and the cookies & ice cream. Each dish was cooked and seasoned to perfection....5 star all the way. My only criticism is that we were seated across from each other and could not sit close together (which is my preference). Meat Market is now officially in our rotation...See you again soon

A nice upscale restaurant, came here for Christmas Day dinner. It is very popular so there was a bit of a wait but we had drinks at the bar which were delicious cocktails. Everyone was dressed fancy. All the food was great, i got the filet (though it was a bit under cooked and sent back) and some sorbet for dessert. Great sorbet. Mac and cheese and potatoes were great sides. Solid spot, would love to come back on a less busy day. I think we saw Rick Flair.

Yelp
The food is great! The atmosphere is nice and there are a lot of people. It's a very busy place. The service was good.

Yelp
What a unique experience on a Saturday night! It was a mix of bachelorette parties and people on their way to the club but also couples on dates and we even saw a newborn! For those who don't know, this is one of the most elite restaurants in Hyde Park. It's a lovely, walkable neighborhood with lots of fancy shops, bars and eateries. We've eyed this place for a while specifically because there's always a showy Lamborghini or two parked out front. Many people are there just to be seen, it seems. And the people watching is top notch! We made a reservation--a necessity--and I wish there was a place for people to wait rather than on the busy sidewalk. We were seated rather quickly and the service was phenomenal. They even came and swept up the crumbs left on my placemat from the crusty fresh bread they brought out. The cocktails were delicious: we tried a cucumber gin drink and also a passion fruit tequila drink. Both fresh and balanced. The menu is a little tricky in my opinion because the steaks, for example, were listed randomly in three different sections. It made it hard to rank them and choose! Plus there's the issue of making sure you don't accidentally order a $150 steak when you meant to only get a reasonable $50 steak. I went nice and simple on my first visit with the signature "MM Steak" which is a picahna cut with habanero chimichurri. It was a very lean cut and therefore a little tough for me despite it being sous vide in butter. The sauce was spicier than expected but nice and fresh. I don't think I'd get it again. I think the real winner was my husband's steak: the Linzer, which I think was a ribeye basted in creole seasoning and duck fat. It had very nice marbling and you really couldn't tell the "toppings" were there so it was not overwhelming at all. There was a lot of gristle however. As far as sides, the truffle Mac was delicious! Super decadent, rich and indulgent. I highly recommend sitting outside on the patio. The air was brisk and so the outdoor heater made it the perfect temp plus the fire adds an ambiance! Something weird: we kept seeing people get bowls of free crispy corn as a snack. When I asked about it, I was told it was a "chef's gift" but we somehow didn't get one? Weird! If you are celebrating a special occasion, I would for sure take a group and order something like the tomahawk steak and a literal TREE of espresso martinis (we saw two tables get those!).

Yelp
We stopped at The Meat Market on a Sunday afternoon when we went shopping at Hyde Park Village. It was crowded inside and out, but we were seated at an outdoor table within 10 minutes. The server was knowledgeable about the menu, and food and drinks were delicious. My wife really enjoyed their ricotta caprese and I had a Manhattan chicken sandwich with waffle sweet potato fries. The atmosphere is active, with dance music playing, and fashionably dressed patrons at the tables and bar. We'll be happy to try them again.

Aubrey F.

Yelp
Loved the vibes of this place and decor. Great options for indoor and outdoor seating. We made a reservation, which requires a credit card on file. They won't seat you till your whole party has arrived. Parking is a bit limited at times between the street and garages so prepare for that. We were seated outside, which was great. Lots of space and shade. We ordered the empanadas to start. They typically come with two but we were able to order five, one per person. This was split evenly per person when the bill came. My friend ordered the All You Can Spritz. 3 of the 5 of us participated in this. Each one got two drinks each. They drinks were large and they said good. Beautiful presentation! I ordered the Croque Madame, for $24. It is pit ham, Gruyère cheese, a sunny side up egg, mornay sauce, and black truffle shaving served on sour dough. It was decent but I would not return based on this. I also ordered a side of the truffle fries, which were $12. They were unfortunately greasy. Definitely didn't expect them to be that much and they definitely were not worth it. Service was great but I honestly would not come back or recommend.

Yelp
Love this spot! Food is flavorful, always pretty good service and its a clean, well-kept location. Enjoyed dinner with my family and the steak was the highlight of the dinner. soo good !!

Kristen B.

Yelp
Meat Market is always a treat yourself kinda meal. You can't go wrong with the steak and eggs with a cinnamon role for brunch. The Bloody Mary board is huge and shareable. The steak and seafood options are always top notch. The salmon is my lunch favorite. The Japanese waygu steak is 10/10. If you are looking to splurge the seafood tower and caviar options are soooo good. They have gigantic stone crab claws and fresh oysters.

Abby D.

Yelp
First time trying out Meat Market brunch on Sunday. Service started off fantastic, our drinks and apps came out so quickly! The deviled eggs were 10/10 and perfect in my opinion. Cocktails are solid. As our meal progressed, service got pretty slow and forgetful but we still had a pleasant experience. Classic burger was bomb - perfectly cooked and flavorful. Some prices are steep but there are more affordable options as well. Will be back to try out their happy hour deals and sit at the bar!

Yelp
Meat Market is a well-known restaurant in Hyde Park, Tampa, and I finally made my way over after having it on my list for a while. I went for brunch with some friends and was really pleased with the experience. The service was great, and it wasn't too crowded even though it was a Saturday at 11 a.m. It was also easy to make a reservation the day before. It's a nice place too, you'll be happy wherever you end up sitting. All the cocktails were fantastic. I started with a Bloody Mary but also explored the regular cocktail menu, which I highly recommend if you want to go beyond the brunch cocktails. For starters, we got the Deviled Eggs, which were quite good, and the Wagyu Tartare, which was excellent--highly recommend that one. We also tried the Empanadas, but they were pretty generic and not worth the price, especially compared to everything else. For my entrée, I had the Steak and Eggs, which was really good. The steak was one of the better ones I've had in a while--perfectly cooked with great flavor. The portion size for the steak was solid for brunch, but I think they could have included a little more egg. Overall, I wanted something lean and satisfying, and it delivered. This is a great spot in the middle of Hyde Park. I'll be back.

Yelp
The Meat Market is located in the high end Hyde Park district. The last two times I've gone it has been immensely packed so much that there is much difficulty walking through the sidewalk. We initially didn't have a reservation and were told that no walk ins would be accepted for the rest of the evening. This was unbelievably frustrating as my partner & I had driven an hour to have dinner there. The doorman also stated that despite my partner wearing expensive dress shorts, we were turned away even though the restaurant website stated dress shorts were permissible with the outdoor seating. We returned the following week with a reservation and started by stopping by at the bar. It was incredibly packed and was difficult to move about. We eventually sat down at our table and the ambiance with the restaurant decor and lighting were beautiful. The music was loud and it was a bit difficult to have a conversation. The restroom was certainly an area of opportunity in terms of improvement as the men's room was incredible small and plain considering the design of the rest of the establishment. In terms of food and drink, the Passionate Love cocktail was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend grabbing this one if you needed a recommendation. The wagyu beef dumplings had such a great, powerful flavor that were scrumptious. The meatloaf had a nice barbecue flavor and the mashed potatoes paired with it were divine. The cookies and milk dessert & chocolate torte were decadent and great flavor. The presentation was well done and the portions were good. The service was not bad but the greet time was above 15 minutes since the server assistant approached us. It was a nice dining experience but I feel as though the restaurant would be more efficient if it was staffed with more servers. The food runners were professional and helpful as well. Overall, I would return for an important occasion or for happy hour specials.

Yelp
I came out here for a very special Christmas Eve dinner. I picked this place out due to it being right in the heart of the very scenic Hyde Park, which boasts a lot of festive Christmas decorations, and that it's been a place of interest of mine for some time. Best of all, is that I can take my sweet, precious Muffin with me since Dec. 23 is basically our anniversary together, and it's only proper that I enjoy a lovely meal with her by my side. Now, what surprised me is that the menu I thought would be available to me for tonight wasn't, so this review is a tad of a disclaimer, nonetheless, it's a good sneak peek of the great work they do! I really wanted to try their duck confit, but apparently, it wasn't available, so I went with what I thought was the next best thing. Their G-Life pasta and the black truffle kale salad. I start off with the salad, which was incredible! Crunchy, light, yet rich and complex from the parmasean cheese and truffle, it was the perfect size where I wasn't way too full to enjoy my main course. Which is why I'm very grateful my lovely server recommended I go with this plus the pasta when I was deliberating. Up next, I got the pasta. The fettucine indeed tasted very fresh, with colorful veggies and a light yet also flavorful cream sauce. It certainly rivaled what I've had when I was in Italy, and the plating and presentation brought me back there. Now, I wasn't trying to be ironic by ordering an entire vegetarian meal. After all, Meat is in their name. Rest assured, I'm determined to return for that Duck Confit dish. But, I think it is worth noting that the incredible vegetarian dishes are a testimony to the quality of food here, so even if I'm not feeling like meat, I'll know whatever I get will wow me.

Yelp
A great place for a date night. They have a daily special menu, which I should have taken a picture of since we ended up ordering off of that. There was a trio of steak, so we got a kale caesar salad (which was very light on the kale, which was lucky since my husband doesn't like kale), the trio of steak (which I think was waygu, picanha and one other) and a side of mashed potato. My husband got an old fashioned (they have so many versions of old fashioneds that I would come back to try other ones) and I got a dirty martini, which was very good. All the food was delicious. The mashed potato was to die for. My husband loved the steaks. I thought they were above average for sure. We weren't that hungry so it was the perfect size for the two of us. Even though they say to dress up to come here, we did see people in jeans. Not a lot of people, but some. You also won't look out of place dressing up (I was testing heels I'm planning to wear in Vegas, so I was dressed better than I would for a normal date night). Overall, we had a great meal here. Parking is plentiful in the Hyde Park garages.

Kayla J.

Yelp
I've probably been here at least 50 times. And I will say this place has quite the mixed review among locals, fairly so. While several of their dishes and cuts of steak are extremely mediocre, they really excel at a few things. If you know what to get, it's excellent every time. They have one of the best tomahawks I have ever had, certainly the best in Tampa. Their other steaks are average. Whatever fish they have on special is always fantastic, and whenever they have A5 Waygu on the menu it is exceptional. The oysters are my favorite in Tampa as well, I always get the east coast (personal preference) and the mignonette compliments them perfectly. They also have a great wine selection. Other dishes I always go for: broccolini, truffle mashed potatoes, cookies and milk (swap the milk out for ice cream - I'm not sure why they don't serve it this way normally). They also have a great happy hour and fantastic lychee martinis and espresso martinis. The service is usually fantastic, and they have a very lively atmosphere. If you're looking for a quiet dinner this is not the place for you.

Jenette S.

Yelp
Grabbed lunch on a Wednesday and it was quite packed. Service was good and we were inside but the flies were all over the place. The server got a table top fan to help shoo them away. Drinks were good and food was ok.

Michelle M.

Yelp
I need to go back to this place and have another server because I've heard great things, but our server couldn't have cared less. She was slow and disappeared a lot and she forgot things. She charged for things that weren't brought out and we just paid the bill because she was so slow, we didn't want to wait to correct it. I'll give it another try and update my review if the service is better. Managers, you have to hire competent servers! Even with excellent food and ambience, they can ruin your guests' experience. I want to love this place because I do like the area so much and shop around there a lot!

S D.

Yelp
Went for Brunch on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. It was a full house, yet the service team who took care of us were friendly, knowledgeable and responsive. The steak & eggs (I upgraded to a 6oz. fillet) was delicious, despite being slightly undercooked in the center. My companions loved their dishes and the special creme brûlée was exceptional.

Morgan P.

Yelp
We made reservations a month ago and we first got seated outside... our tables were so wonky and we weren't expecting to sit outside and eat a steak. We didn't love that and asked to be seated indoors which they did accommodate us but we had to wait. Our server also gave us poor recommendations "everything is amazing!" when we asked what the crowd favorites were. honestly the food overall was good and the atmosphere inside was fun but not worth the prices. Sushi roll was just okay but we liked the brussels sprouts overall the highest quality was the steak. Get the steaks.

Alan P.

Yelp
The place looks stunning. Very well decorated and curated. A bit crowded feeling. The service was pretty good. Our server was excellent, very knowledgeable. The busser/runners maybe not so much. Food was great. Not an absolute mind blown but it was definitely a well executed array of food. Steak was good but what I really enjoyed was the halibut and the escargot. Those dishes shined for me. The scalloped potatoes I could live without. Good spot for a date night. If I could give a 4.5 I would. Not quite perfect for us.

Tonia K.

Yelp
Beautiful ambiance! The food was lol amazing! The corn appetizer was delish! Great service! A bit pricey

Jayln H.

Yelp
The hostess session is the worst part.. after that it's great but they're extremely rude and I stood there for 10 mins as they finished up a conversation and clearly acknowledged my presence. It was a weird first impression however the meal itself was great but idk what was going on with that

Brigitte L.

Yelp
Hubs brought me here for Mother's Day so it was a very nice surprise! We sat outside but it's covered and wasn't hot. This place was packed! So you can definitely tell it's a popular spot. Service was great! They were friendly and attentive, explained the menu and specials. Even helped with drink recommendations. There was definitely a lot of food on our table lol. And they have these cool little fan looking things they put on the tables that keeps the flies away! My food was fabulous -- got the crab cake, salad and we all shared the dumplings and mac and cheese.

Kristina W.

Yelp
Yummy!! Great waiter, great service. I let the waiter choose and oh boy was it yummy. A little salty over all but good. Eggs were tasty. It had something special mixed in to make those eggs taste so yummy! The steak was great and flavorful. The corn, saltier than I like but flavorful. Absolutely worth a visit! Great brunch spot. One thing I love is the watermelon drink. No alcohol just watermelon. Love it!

Khadija B.

Yelp
This was a work dinner. We had a private room. Appetizers were very tasty. My favorites were the cauliflower and the artichokes. Then the salad came. Didn't disappoint. I ordered the top sirloin and it was a big steak, which I took half of it home.the broccolini was my absolute favorite side, followed by the mac and cheese and then the scalloped potatoes. I thought we were done but then dessert came and it was probably everything on the menu, there was cheesecake, a cookie with Nutella, chocolate cake and more. The service was on point and the attention to detail was impeccable. The restaurant was busy so it was noisy when the door openedbut we still managed to have great conversations. The restaurant lived up to its reputation and I will definitely come back. Great evening and we were not rushed. We started the meeting at 6 and left at 10. Great Job MM and staff

David L.

Yelp
This is a trendy restaurant with a great atmosphere and pretty good tasting food. We put a reservation in online and reserved an outdoor table. Walking up, the hostess immediately confirmed ou reservation and seated us within a couple of minutes, We were greeted by our server who introduced thgemselves as well as their helper. They provided us with our menus and went through some of the highlights and then took our drink orders. I ended up ordering a tangerine dream, which was tasted like an alcoholic lemonade. I wasn't sure and i should have asked, but I thought it was going to be a more icy drink, but it was still really good and garnished with Kiwi. I ordered wagyu dumplings and their specialty 3 steak offering (I cannot recall the name and it's not a normal menu offering). The dumplings were outstanding. The steak was jsut ok. For the cost and taste there are better offerings elsewhere. Definitely a nice place to have a decent dinner with family/friends. But you can defeinitely break the bank if you arent careful. On a side note, if there isn't parking available in front of the restaurant, there is a public garage right around the corner!

Travis S.

Yelp
I have been wanting to try this place so finally one early evening we decided to go. Our reservations were for outside so we dressed accordingly since it is summer and on the warmer side at the moment. As soon as we approached the host stand outside the lady's immediately started looking us up and down and I said I have a reservation for 3. They gave me a hard time about having shorts and one of the guys in the group had sandals. She said next time we won't be able to allow that. Mind you this reservation is for outside. After we got seated we started ordering. We started with the complimentary bread which was incredible followed by A5 Wagyu Roll and Wagyu Dumplings for appetizers. Both were absolutely incredible. Since we weren't too hungry for this early dinner we got the Jumbo shrimp cocktail, French onion soup and kale salad. Everything was top notch and wonderful. If you love French onion soup don't miss out on this because it's not on the normal menu and just a special from time to time. We have also been back since wearing the proper attire since we were dining inside for brunch. We had their classic burger which was fantastic, if you love a good burger don't miss this one. The crab cake bene was good also if you want a seafood touch. The duck and waffle were good but the waffles were a bit on the soggy side. We noticed that many people were in violation of the dress code sitting inside wearing cut off shorts and t shirts and sandals. I thought that was a big no no. So either have the dress code all the time or non at all. I have dined in the best restaurants around the world and many of them are just smart casual. Get with the times. And if your reservations are specifically outside who cares what you wear, you're outside. Ever since that first encounter though it has put a sour taste in our mouths for this place sadly. I wish I could give 5 stars instead of 3 but service is an important part and it's not worth being rude about the dress code. Overall excellent food but

Alex F.

Yelp
This place never disappoints! Our server was helpful, fun and timely. Food and drinks are tasty and you can tell they take their time with the presentation and finishing touches. Ben was humorous and patient and the dining floor is spacious and decorated beautifully. Great spot here in Hyde park to visit.

Olesya P.

Yelp
Came here for a brunch. We had to make a reservation few days ahead. Service was pretty decent, but they were busy and not super attentive. We constantly had to ask them to refill water/take our orders. Ambience is definitely upscale, super modern and chic. It wasn't very loud either, which was nice. Bathroom was on a smaller side based on the size of the restaurant. Before the reservation, we got multiple messages about dress code for guys, I don't believe they have one for women. We had house salad to start which was pretty good. Not very special. They have a large selection of non alcoholic drinks and we enjoyed those a lot. My husband had salmon for his main and I had turkey Brie sandwich. Salmon was good but pretty small portion. Sandwich was large but very very mediocre. I had much better sanding the past. The good thing, prices are ranging tremendously from relatively cheap to very expensive, you can eat there for pretty cheap or go on and spend a tone. We ordered everything we wanted and was definitely cheaper than we expected. I would like to come here for dinner as well.

Jonathan S.

Yelp
The atmosphere and ambience are great if you are between 25-40, there were a lot of half dressed women walking around which gave off nightclub vibes. But if your on a 1st date or adulting you can't hold a conversation with your table companions, because it's to loud inside. On the other hand the customer service was impeccable and on top of all your needs and answering your questions. Our server Tyler and his assistant were very helpful and amazing. They made the dining experience prettt good. The cocktails were delicious, I had a raspberry margarita, my wife had a bad dad joke and considering we are not really drinkers, we were impressed. I didn't have an appetite so my wife and I split the 12oz fillet that was the size of a 6 or 8oz, everything is a la carte so we also got mash potatoes and the broccolini. The house salad was a good size portion and two could share that as well. One last thing, parking in the area is horrible so I'd probably ride share. Unless you're patient lol

Tracy S.

Yelp
Meat market for dinner with friends was very nice. Always a nice experience just sometimes a bit chaotic and the ambient noise can be difficult to have conversations. This actually was the first time I had a bad experience with the valet where they were very disorganized and didn't have any spots, but didn't tell you that and had you riding around the block only to tell you there was no Valet parking available. It was a bit ridiculous. But other than that the food and the service was very good. The music the ambience was nice and we had a nice time. I definitely recommend this spot as one of the hotspots and Tampa all of the beautiful people, hang out but again just be prepared for the chaos and parking difficulty in the area when you embark on that adventure.

Sydney S.

Yelp
Awesome food & ambience, but both times I have come here with a reservation we have had to wait 20+ minutes to be seated, despite arriving on time for reservation :/

Alexa S.

Yelp
This was my first time trying out Meat Market. I've always heard mixed reviews on it, however what I ordered was delicious! I went for my friend's 30th, and I decided to get the tomato Mediterranean salad, and then some fried burrata to split with one of my friends. It was the perfect light meal to start the night off! The pricing here can be pricey depending on what you get, but it is a great spot for ambience. The wait staff is friendly and attentive! I wouldn't mind going back here.

J W.

Yelp
Food was good but not the best we've had. The space was super loud and crowded. Not sure how anyone would call this romantic? It seemed to be going for top tier service, but unless they mitigate the noise and hire more servers or provide better training ... it fell short on that point. Impossible to hear what was being said. Could have been perfect - how would we know ? Actually we could hear the couple at the next table better than each other. Tables were too long and also too short (in between tables)

Lee A.

Yelp
My best friend and I adore this brunch spot. The seafood is exceptional, with stone crab claws that are simply divine. The burgers are perfectly done, and everything was outstanding from start to finish.

Bruce H.

Yelp
We were so excited to have dinner here based on friends telling us it was great. The beginning: - easy reservation through Open Table - arrived early and they sat us right away - very busy and very loud in there. - very modern and fun ambiance Service: - server was great & helped us select - very prompt attention to water refills but not so much on cocktails - love the team environment of service - they do push a lot on up selling - they lack the attention to asking if the food is good once out Food & Drink: - steak was overcooked and never asked if it was at the right temp. - Tater tots not cooked enough. Soggy - cream corn came out cold - drinks were short on alcohol - both my wife and I woke up with our tummy's not feeling well. I guess we should have read the reviews before going. I would say if you're looking for an amazing steak this is NOT your place. It's good but far from amazing. If you want to be seen and see others, this is your place. It's a cool hip place that has an incredible façade.

Yelp
Ashalia sat us relatively quickly considering we got stuck in Gasparilla traffic and were very late. Michael as our waiter and service was great. We each had a different salad but we were both underwhelmed. Bread basket delicious. We had the Mac and cheese which was very good and the topping awesome. Then we split the tomahawk - no words can describe how it was perfectly done. I still dream of it. Crispy in the outside. Perfectly medium rare inside. Would get this every time! Birthday dessert was a nice touch.

Yelp
After walking around the Hyde Park Village, my husband and I ducked into the meat market to have a drink before we determined what our next steps would be. We both ordered an old-fashioned - my husband going for the fig old-fashioned while I enjoyed the praline old fashion. The fig old-fashioned has a nice smokiness on the finish. The praline old-fashioned has a sweeter hint to it and very easy drinking. They typically make their old fashions with benchmark bourbon, but they have a wide selection of bourbons to choose from, we opted for buffalo trace

Yelp
I've neglected going here for years based on stuff I've heard from employees about owners and management regarding sexual harassment and sexism. Despite that, I found myself walking by during happy hour and thought "why the hell not?" I didn't get far because I was refused entry at the host stand due to the Birkenstocks I was wearing. Normally I understand and said "that's okay I was looking for the patio." Still they refused. I saw a woman with sandals on, and was told literally that policy only applies to men. That is so incredibly sexist and makes no sense but it gets worse. I walked by weeks later on my way to Forbici (who let me in wearing Birks because this is Florida and it's September) and literally saw a man wearing regular sandals. So what's the issue? Do I not look like I have money? I've worked at and dined at some of the nicest steakhouses in Chicago, Miami, New York and never been refused patio service during the summer. Since I'm a bartender in the greater Tampa area I'll make sure to steer everyone clear away from here.

Yelp
We made brunch reservations on a Saturday, so they were already ready to seat us. We picked outdoor seating which was a great choice because the weather has been so nice. Our server was kind and attentive. The cinnamon roll was fabulous. I highly recommend it if you're going to get anything at all here - get the cinnamon roll! We also had baked oysters which are always a must have. Our area filled up pretty quickly and I liked how open it was that you couldn't hear the table next to you. The only critic I would give is about the empanadas. I wish there were more than two per order and less flour. 75% crust/flour 25% filling

Yelp
Meet me at the Meat Market....No appetizers for me. I was ready for the main course. I started with the Honey Bunny Drink that delivered a light and tasty drink. The Paloma was palomino and exceeded expectations. Dinner was great with the WOOD GRILLED CHURRASCO and the WAGYU BBQ SHORT RIBS along with truffle mashed potatoes. Brussels sprouts and wood grilled asparagus. This is a Meat Market that delivers the meat, the side, the service, and definitely the vibe. Meet Me at the MEAT Market. I'm going back soon.

Yelp
After becoming regular members at Meat Market, we were deeply disappointed by the way one of their managers, Chris, treated us during our most recent visit. Our friends were visiting for the holiday, and we had raved about Meat Market, sharing how much we loved it. However, before we could be seated, Chris stopped us and claimed one of our friends was out of dress code. Our friend was wearing leather pants, but Chris insisted they looked like sweatpants and said he couldn't let us in because the owner was present. We live an hour away, and at 8:30 p.m., there were no nearby stores open for us to resolve the issue. I explained how frequently we dine at Meat Market and asked if I could speak to the owner, but Chris refused and told us to leave. Admittedly, I was upset and pointed out other patrons who appeared to be out of dress code, as it felt like we were being unfairly singled out. Chris then informed me that he was the highest manager on duty and had the authority to refuse entry. This experience left me feeling hurt and disrespected. I never expected such treatment from a restaurant I've always spoken so highly of. That said, I stand by my positive reviews of the staff--especially Nick--and the amazing food. However, I urge the owner of Meat Market to address Chris's approach to customer service and evaluate whether his actions reflect the values of your otherwise outstanding establishment.

Yelp
So finally made my way to the meet market for brunch on a Sunday for a quick birthday celebration with my family. Let's start with the ambiance 9 out of 10. It is a very cute vibe. They have plenty seating inside and outside. The bar area is a decent size. If I'm being honest though, this all the good I have to say about this place. Just as an FYI this place is very expensive so be prepared to spend $100+ pp if you're planning on eating and drinking. The food was SUBPAR, and not worth the money at all. I ordered the filet mignon and it was season-less, it just taste like a piece of meat, no salt, it wasn't juicy, just dry meat and it looked super tiny. We as well order the cocktail shrimp which came with only 2 large cocktail shrimp for like $25 very lack luster. A few people ordered the duck and waffle and they enjoyed it but again, nothing too amazing. We ordered some oysters and they seemed to enjoy them. We told them we had a birthday and they brought out a bowl of ice cream, which again, very basic. The alcoholic beverages were just OK. Also I would like to make note that I paid $72 for (3) CASAMIGOS shots! And they added in gratuity on even though we'd closed out our tables tab and ordered them totally separate as a quick thing. The service was also SUBPAR. At first glance, I thought this place would be comparable to Capitale Grill, Ulele or Flemings as far as service goes, but it was not that. While they were attentive, it just wasn't giving 5-star dining at all, just the prices lol. Now, as I said, it's cute in there so it's giving a look of being a good vibe, but I'm not really inclined to recommend it to anyone. Our tables tab was somewhere around $500+gratuity+tip. Had the experience been better I would've said OK but definitely not worth all that money. Maybe I'll try out dinner and give it one more try.

Yelp
I popped in here on Saturday afternoon in between appointments and totally enjoyed myself. Everyone at the bar was friendly and welcoming. It was much less crowded during the early afternoon and I liked that vibe. Friday nights on the other hand are popping and the dress code is strictly enforced. No flip flops, active wear, shorts, ball caps etc. Now for the food, the empanadas are to die for and came out pretty quick. The crust is flaky and soft and the filling flavorful. The Brussels were soooo good. I'm pretty sure there was bacon in them, but you can probably get without if desired. My fish was flaky and seasoned to perfection. Meat Market is a must if you're in Tampa.

Yelp
Came here to celebrate birthday. They were still taking reservations until 11pm which surprised me. To my amazement, it was quite busy at 10:30pm. I don't understand the hype, the food was good but nothing spectacular. To top it, place was so loud, i couldn't hear what my friends were saying. We tried a bunch of appetizers, nothing memorable. Service was excellent, the two servers were amazing!

Yelp
We dined here for a birthday and the experience was amazing. The service was so spot on and organized. We got the wagyu dumplings, Caesar salad, daily chefs special steak trio and grouper, lobster Mac and cheese, whipped mash potatoes, and the chef's special white chocolate mint creme brûlée. Every time we finished something they immediately cleared the table and prepared it for the next course. All of the food was amazing. The only thing we weren't a huge fan of was the music volume. It was so loud we couldn't hear each other without raising our voices.

Yelp
Meat Market has been a bucket list spot for me since I moved down here and we finally made it. We had friends visiting from NY and we figured it would be a good place to take them and I'm so glad we did. Our waiter Scott was EXCEPTIONAL and he made our experience what it was. We laughed with him and he was so knowledgable about the menu. The shrimp cocktail was the best and biggest shrimp cocktail I've ever had, we are still talking about it days later. I got the ribeye and nothing will ever compare to how tender it was. We will absolutely definitely be back soon and we can't wait! Follow my food instagram account to see what our experience was like! @travelingtastebuds

Yelp
Ambiance; gorgeous. Food; even better. Service; Morgan cannot be BEAT! We had the best experience here and I can't recommend this place (and Morgan) enough! Our server Morgan was AMAZING. As fellow chicagoans, she was so personable and knowledgeable on the menu. Could not recommend her or this place enough.

Yelp
First time coming to MM for brunch and boy was it satisfying. The burger and those fries were as the kids say " slapped" . The lemonade was exceptional. Service is what you'd want it to be! Interior is a lot easier to see during the day time and it's beautiful.

Yelp
Let's start with the good stuff. This ambiance is amazing. Everything looks/feels high end and elegant. The staff was incredible and there's like a million of them. My water glass was never empty which I appreciate. Their craft cocktails did not disappoint either. Truth be told I was super bummed about the food. Everything was good but it wasn't "blow you away" flavorful. The plate presentation had all that high end flare but the food lacked that high end taste. Everything was good is the best way to describe it. We were a table of 5 and had to best of my memory. Apps: escargot, wagu tartar, tuna tartar and beef ribs. Entrees: 14oz bone in filet; steak trio; salmon and short ribs. The one couple shared the salmon. I believe the bill was just under $600 before tip, which really wasn't bad considering it included drinks and a bottle of wine. Loved the atmosphere and staff. Liked the food.

Yelp
This restaurant did an absolute great job with its first impression. We were greeted by friendly staff. As you enter the restaurant you notice a feel of high end just by the dress code of the staff as well as the architecture and art work of the building. With that being said there were some servers that kept looking over at our table non stop. It could be because we were taking photos of our food for this review ;) or whatever other reason but it made my wife and brother feel a tad uncomfortable. The food on the other hand was delicious! They provided us with some warm delicious bread and butter. We ordered the wagyu beef dumplings which were phenomenal. Super tasty, super simple, great appetizer. Just wish they provided one to two more with every dish. As a main I ordered the 6oz filet mignon medium done with a side of broccolini. The steak was ultra tender, super easy to cut and the broccolini has a smoky taste to it. My brother got the salmon with French fries. Salmon was super flaky and very light. French fries were alright. A little soggy actually. My wife got the churrasco with sweet potatoes. The churrasco was very rich in flavor and larger than my filet mignon. The sweet potatoes were the best I've tried. Overall we had an amazing experience. Will definitely come back here in the future!

Yelp
Pros: Excellent food Expansive menu with lots of choices Attentive service Appealing Ambiance Great wine/drinks menu Cons: Had to wait outside in heat before seating Server check backs were far too frequent, and he seemed upset we didn't choose his $99 steak suggestion. Flys were so bad, we needed a table fan to keep them away. Prices
