"Mecha Noodle Bar, a small Connecticut-based chain founded in 2013, opened its first Boston-proper restaurant in the Fort Point neighborhood September 15. The restaurant is spacious, spanning two floors with decorative woodwork. The menu includes a variety of Asian street food and comfort fare such as Korean fried chicken bao and customizable pho and ramen. Drinks include boozy bubble teas and a selection of sake, wines, beers, phin-brewed coffee, and house sodas." - Adam H. Callaghan

Trendy Spot with Solid Flavors and Room for Improvement We recently visited Mecha Noodle Bar for lunch. The restaurant has a trendy, modern vibe and was bustling during the lunch rush—a great sign for a new spot. However, the seating features backless stools, which, while fitting the aesthetic, can become uncomfortable after a while. Unfortunately, the experience started on a slight disappointment as they were out of brisket and another protein option we had hoped to order. We adjusted and substituted dishes, and while the alternatives were enjoyable, it’s always a bit of a letdown when the menu isn’t fully available. I ordered the Tonkatsu 3.0, which featured flavorful pork belly, and the Spicy Beef Ramen, substituting sliced beef (likely round chuck). While sliced beef is a common addition in pho, it’s less typical for ramen, though it worked well enough. The ramen broth was good, and the pork belly stood out for its rich flavor. I added their spicy chili oil, which I’d recommend if you enjoy some heat. We also tried a few appetizers: the KFC Bao Bun and the Sticky Ribs. Both were well-executed, with the bao bun offering a satisfying mix of textures and flavors, and the ribs being sticky, tender, and flavorful. Overall, Mecha Noodle Bar delivers good food in a lively setting. While there were some hiccups, the potential is clear, and I’d be interested to see how they evolve with time. If you’re in the area and craving noodles or small bites, it’s worth a visit—but maybe aim for off-peak hours to avoid the rush.

Started considering movie to Brookline after eating this ramen. We had the vegan ramen & spicy beef, I preferred the vegan option - the broth was just so rich and it’s stuffed with several types of mushrooms. The spicy beef was delicious too, however. It wasn’t too spicy but it did clear out my sinuses! It’s a complicated spice, it’s really very good! We also had the KFC bao buns & poutine. Both were fantastic. I need so much more of this place!! Friendly staff!

Nice spot. Got their paitan (chicken ramen), beef ramen plus crab Rangoon. The Rangoon were interesting as they give you stuffing and chips separately. It was really good. The chicken ramen I was not a fan of. It did not taste that good. Beef spicy ramen was delicious. We went around 5pm and had plenty of open tables. It did start to fill up with a queue at the front at around 7pm. Service was great!

Resolution: After filing for BBB complaints and reaching out to the district manager, this issue has been resolved not only by refunding the whole bill, but also offered to host us the mecha way, meaning, with some food on the house. I appreciate the customer service and the prompt response from the District Manager. We were a large group dining at this Mecha location. When we settled our bill, we did not double check if there were any mistakes. We dined in on 1/30, we were about 10 people. We noticed the mistake only on 2/3 when spitting the bill by Venmo. The mistake is an overcharge on appetizers that were supposed to be happy hour prices and an alcoholic drink. We got seated down about 15min before the end of the happy hour (6pm) and said we would place the order for appetizers first, which we did. Once the order for appetizers was placed and started being served, we ordered drinks followed by entrees. I ordered a virgin drink but was served an alcoholic one which the server said we could keep and that he would make a new one. That’s 2 total mistakes: 1. Appetizers were charged at full price instead of 50% off as advertised (happy hour is 3pm to 6pm) 2. an alcoholic drink + a virgin drink were also charged. I called and talked to an unpleasant manager who seems to have little customer service experience. When I got impatient, his response was to hang up on me. This manager should get training on hospitality. He said he will have to call back as he stated he was not present the evening of our visit and had to check with the server. He called back and his response was: Camera was checked and we indeed ordered a virgin drink. But he claims we ordered drinks first before the appetizers, suggesting we lied. He also stated that in order for him to allow me to look at the the camera footage, I would need to file a police report. He asked how he could settle the issue on the drink only since he claimed he couldn’t do anything about the appetizers since we paid after the happy hour. His offer: a $20 gift card for the drink. The evidence is clear on the bill: the order was placed at 5:52pm. Clearly, this restaurant does not value their customers and prefers to keep a small profit over honoring their advertised deal and keep a customer.

Google
Had the Red oil dumpling for startee which was the highlight for me and the Red Ramen which was unfortunately the soup was too salty. As an asian that visited the US, they could add a lil bit more spicy on the food so it’ll be more Asian-thentic (Asian and Authentic) however understandable that they’re trying to adjust with American taste. They do have the chili sauce on the table which I think does help if some of us crace for more spicy. However, the saltiness of the ramen need to ne reduced a lil bit.

The wings and ramen were good and so was the drink. The ambiance and music selection was also good. I would return for another visit.

This is only my second time coming here, but Phillip has really made my experience here. Not only was the food great, but Phillip’s positive attitude and overall great energy really made my experience phenomenal. I wish there were more people like him around😁

Bobby B.

Yelp
Ate there after Boxaroo on 2/20 and it was my first time at a Ramen place. I have to say, great tasting food! The ribs and chicken wings were my favorite! Everything pretty much was an 8 on a scale of 1 to 10. Nice and friendly staff. A+

Kirtana S.

Yelp
Okay - i can not believe it took me so long to come here! This has been on a list forever. The service was EXCELLENT! I wish I remembered our staff member's name, but he made my experience a highlight meal!!! We came here hungry and for happy hour, and ate everything in his recommendation. Everything was so good!

Celena S.

Yelp
We were freezing and wanted some soup to warm us up. I love Pho and my husband loves ramen so this place was a perfect fit for us. My chicken pho was good, not great. I had maybe 3 slices of chicken in the entire bowl. The broth was good and I like the addition of corn I added to it. My husband had the creamy chicken ramen and he liked it too. He said it was just what he needed for the cold outside. It wasn't the best ramen he's ever had and not the worst. Just midline - which was good enough for us the day we ate there. I would go back if we were back in town and close to the restaurant. I wouldn't search it out though.

Colleen B.

Yelp
We went here on a freezing cold Friday night and it was absolutely amazing. It was pretty crowded but they were able to seat us. We started off with the smash burger bao buns and the spareribs. The ribs fell right off the bone and had a great sauce. We then got the Hakata Style Tonkotsu 3.0 ramen and the spicy beef ramen. Both broths had great flavor and the noodles were a nice texture, not too chewy. Definitely will be back!

Lily K.

Yelp
As a ramen lover (and soup lover in general), I decided to give Mecha noodle bar a try. When I'm very hungry, I tend to want a hot bowl of ramen with pork and lots of noodles! We were seated quickly at the bar, and our food came out in a timely manner as well. The restaurant was spacious, had high ceilings and lots of seating. It also seemed like they were getting a lot of to-go orders so this might be a good place to get some soup without leaving the comfort of your home! Apps: edamame was nice, although they did put large pieces of thyme which made it harder to eat. They also had whole cloves of garlic which tasted great! But edamame doesn't really need all that fuss. I'm happy with just a bit of salt and minced garlic. We also got the pork baos which were good but the pork belly was a bit overcooked and had bits of hardened meat. Entrees: I got the Tonkotsu ramen which came with two big slices pork. It was a great soup, the broth was hearty and it had plenty of noodles. It was a great way to warm up after walking around Seaport. TL;DR: good ramen! Apps were ok. Spacious restaurant, service was good. Definitely try the soups on the menu.

Heena J.

Yelp
I visited this place for dinner tonight while on my business trip and this place was lively. I was able to walk in and get a spot on the long table but there were bar options as well. My server was personable, efficient and full of recs. I tried the bao, the curry laksa and a black sesame mochi. All of it was great except the laksa was under salted and lacked flavor. It looked great and it still comforting on this cold day though.

Justin S.

Yelp
Mecha Noodle Bar offers a mishmash of different Asian cuisines, from Japanese hand rolls and ramen to Vietnamese pho. I ended up ordering the pho bo vien, with rare beef and beef meatballs. The broth was underwhelming, with neither enough savoriness nor enough aromatics. The ingredients were too sparse as well. Save yourself a trip here and head down to Dorchester instead.

Debra W.

Yelp
Pho Ga. Could have been hotter. You can tell they pour hot broth over cold chicken & noodles. Brings the temp down on the meal. Plus, the noodles are still kind of stiff.

Katherine X.

Yelp
Was craving bone marrow and this place hit the spot. Got the Pho Bo which comes w/ it and I would highly recommend. Really affordable ($28) and huge portions Tasted great: Bone marrow and tripe ($2) were really good quality here. Very clean, seated me at a 4 person table for myself. Server was super attentive. I would definitely come here again!

Miranda G.

Yelp
I've been here a few times and loved the food each time. The first time, we ordered the bone marrow pho and smash burger as recommended by the server and both were delicious. The noodle portion sizes are a good size. The next time we came, we got come handrolls and dumplings. This restaurant is a good place for both quick bites but also a filling meal and the prices are reasonable! Being in Seaport, I think this is one of the more affordable, yet still very yummy places to go. The staff is also very attentive and the food comes out quickly!

Michelle B.

Yelp
Food was delicious! Loved the spiked bubble tea, and forgot a pic of the spring rolls but they were bomb. Would def eat there again. Staff was attentive and friendly

Andy N.

Yelp
I wish I had better things to say, but the food was mediocre. Given the price, I expected more. The pho was severely lacking in terms of meat, noodle, and traditional toppings of mint, best sprouts, and lime. The flavor was less than mediocre, and I was left wanting more. The restaurant is very cute for a casual meal, and the service was great

Ann A.

Yelp
Service was solid (we were sitting at bar). The vegetarian ramen had an unusual extra fishy tasty that I usually don't taste of the same ramen at other Mecha locations.

Khanh T.

Yelp
I like the ambience inside. The place smells like pho, which is always a good sign. Super spacious and finding a seat was relatively easy and fast. The service was not what I expected. Our food took a long time to come, about an hour, while people who came after us got their food first The food was great when it did come out. I ended up getting the tonkotsu ramen (not pictured), and really enjoyed it.The plates were my favorite detail since it reminded me of Vietnam. I would recommend this to my friend who are visiting Boston, but probably not on the top of my list

Sergio L.

Yelp
Mecha Noodle Bar hit the spot! I almost walked in the night before but couldn't handle the wait (seriously, the aroma will make you that hungry!). Came back the next day and wow--it was worth it! Anthony, our fantastic host, welcomed us with such warmth, even asking if we knew the difference between Pho and Ramen (who does that? Anthony, you rock!). We ordered Spicy Beef Ramen, Shoyu Paitan, and the "Hot Girl Summer" cocktail. Everything was flavorful and fulfilling. Perfect place to cozy up on a chilly day--highly recommend!

Yu Y.

Yelp
We had the pho tai and tonkatsu ramen. The noodle broth was very flavorful and there's a large selection of extra toppings you can add. We had a short wait to get in. It's a nice chill place to have a meal with friends

Jacob M.

Yelp
Great service, nice atmosphere, ramen and Bahn are on point. Great for a cold day. They do not accept reservations so we called ahead.

David S.

Yelp
Never mind the food which is five stars, the people who work there are so nice and personable. We eat there often and have spread the word to our friends. Special shoutout to Natalie!

Sarish B.

Yelp
As a noodle lover myself, I highly recommend Mecha Noodle Bar in Boston. I cannot tell you the number of times I've walked by this restaurant after grabbing groceries at Trader Joe's and thought to myself that I need to stop by. I finally stopped by and it certainly lived up to praise. This noodle bar is a delightful culinary experience with flavorful and authentic Asian dishes. The Paitan chicken ramen is a must-try, with rich savory broths and perfectly cooked noodles that leave you craving more. The bao buns were soft pillowy buns steamed to perfection, encasing delicious filings like shrimp and chicken. The atmosphere is trendy yet cozy and makes for the ideal spot for casual dining or a night out with friends. The staff is friendly, especially Natalie. My friend and I chatted with her throughout our dining experience and she even explained the mystery behind the "do not scan" QR code on one of the menus at the table. I won't spoil the surprise for you, stop by and check it out for yourself! Also, whoever chose the music for this fine restaurant knows how to enhance a dining experience. The playlist was a well-curated mix of contemporary hits and throwback songs, which provided the ideal backdrop to the meal without overpowering the conversation. We had such a great experience that we ended up ordering takeout here the following week.

Lauren J.

Yelp
This place is really close to my new job, so I wanted to like it. I love ramen so much and this would have been a good go-to during the winter. Unfortunately, I didn't have the best first impression. I got the tonkotsu ramen with the recommended add-ons of chili oil and nori. The two people I was with both got the chicken ramen. When there's came, it was steaming hot and they remarked on having to wait for it to cool down to eat. My ramen was barely warm - not a heat tendril in sight. The flavor was ok, but I couldn't get past the fact that it was lukewarm ramen. The pork pieces were also only ok and I didn't like that the egg came whole - not cut in half. On the plus side, the service was really good - attentive and polite. Paying over $20 for sad ramen is not my idea of a good lunch when there are so many places in the Seaport. I would try this place again to see if my experience was an anomaly.

Soojin K.

Yelp
This was my first time at Mecha Noodle Bar, but apparently it is a chain with another restaurant at Brookline as well. The place is spacious with high ceilings and wasnt too loud. It is a good casual dine-out option. We were a party of 4 and did not have to wait for a table. I ordered the spicy miso ramen with firecracker wings for the table to share. There were 5 wings to the order and they are not the saucy kind but rather powdered and had a unique taste that I really enjoyed. Would get the wings again if I return. The spicy miso ramen, on the other hand, had good flavor but was a too salty for my taste. Overall a good casual ramen option for a chilly day!

Kevin B.

Yelp
Passing through tourist in boston seaport district. Stopped here for last lunch before flying out. Had to tried pho Bo vien with added rare slice beef. Wife had the pho ga. Both were delicious. Remember to ask for the hoisin sauce and siracha. The only thing I felt missing was my beloved jalapeno peppers. Overall thank you for the experience

Thuy-Linh P.

Yelp
Went here for a noodle lunch. We have been to the location in West Hartford, before we moved to MA and this location was definitely on par with that restaurant. We got a nice seat by the window. Their Pho Bo Vien is comforting, with a rich broth and tender meatballs. I added marrow oil to mine for a flavor boost. Their Coconut Shrimp Bao Buns are a yummy blend of soft buns and crispy shrimp. I was told that the Mecha Noodle Bar's spicy beef ramen has perfectly balanced heat makes each bite enjoyable, although less spicy than expected. The Thai Iced Tea is sweet and refreshing, complemented perfectly by chewy Boba. Our service was decent, however we didn't receive our drinks until after we received our appetizer and main courses. It was understandably busy due to it being the weekend. Great for anime lovers, glad to see that this chain is becoming more popular.

Lizzie Y.

Yelp
I have been to the Seaport location twice now and I have to say, this second time around was not as good as the initial time. The ramen sizes are a generous portion and are pretty solid, in taste. An item on their menu that is not so great is their boba drinks, spiked and not spiked versions. The drinks are bland, the boba is not chewy but is not cooked well; I would honestly avoid their boba if you actually have had boba before. 6.5-7/10 for ramen & 2/10 for the boba drinks. The wings seemed to be dry rub and all the seasoning hits you all at once on the first bite, however, the chicken itself is bland and didn't seem marinated. All the flavor is from the skin. 4/10. The red chili dumplings are also not what I expected either. These dumplings are fried, similar tasting to the fried dim sum with bland filling. 3/10. The staff is nice and very helpful, and overall vibe in here is chill! I would eat here again in the future, just would only order the ramen.

Stephanie T.

Yelp
Mecha Noodle Bar was recommended to me by a friend. There are multiple locations in CT, MA, DC, and OH. This location is close to Boston's Seaport. The restaurant is very spacious and modern. There are small tables and long tables which are great for groups and date night. We walked in without a reservation and were brought to a table soon after. The server asked if it was our first time here and we said yes. He was very welcoming and told us a little bit about the restaurant's history. He also told us which items were unavailable like the Thai iced tea. The menu is easy to follow and has cute drawings like ramen coming out of a game console. We ordered the coconut shrimp steamed buns which had chili lime sauce, cilantro, pickles. The bun was fresh and it was a shrimp patty in the bun. It was different from what I was expecting when I read coconut shrimp steamed buns on the menu. I was expecting coconut shrimp in the bun. It was tasty, just different from what I expected. I had the pho bo vien which is pho with rare beef and beef meatballs. My entree arrived later than my husbands since the server felt it wasn't hot enough and sent it back. To me, the broth was a lot saltier than I am used to and the noodle/ingredient ratio wasn't good. My husband ordered the tonkotsu ramen and it tasted good, but again the noodle/ingredient ratio was not equal. It is nice that Mecha Noodle Bar offers both ramen and pho since most restaurants is only 1 or the other. Next time, I would probably stick with the ramen and not get the pho.

Ivy L.

Yelp
Decided to order takeout from here after a long flight. The tonkotsu ramen was delicious. I ended up drinking all the broth. The thai tea was also very good but there was way too much ice and the boba was overcooked. The egg rolls were average. I was going to give four stars due to the thai tea but they had given me two containers of soup, one unlabeled and one label tonkotusu. I later figured out the unlabeled one is pho broth so I was surprised by their generosity. They even included some lettuce leaves to wrap around the egg rolls. I'd come back if I'm in the area again.

Robert K.

Yelp
Mecha Mecha Mecha, IS SO GOOD!!! I had to say the name of this place 3 times, its that good! Asian Comfort Food At Its Best... Japanese, Chinese, Korean & Vietnamese ALL IN ONME SPOT! It's about time... My group of friends love noodles/Ramens/Soups. But, we all like the different types. So, to throw all this under one roof?!?! GAME CHANGER!!! This menu is Asian Diversification! The Appetizers and Main Dishes Are all Over the place and i'm for that.. Get yourself over here for a beer appetizer and Entree. And don't worry about the service... Everyone is Attentive... You'll get your fix...

Sean W.

Yelp
First thing is the interior design in here is incredible. Definitely the nicest ramen spot I have been too. Second the waiter was friendly and answered all our questions. I decided to try the Pho since I was on vacation and it was the first time I ever had pho. Needless to say but I'm hooked. The Bao buns were also very delicious and the perfect appetizer.

June M.

Yelp
This restaurant is in sea port area. The vibe is upbeat, pretty dark inside. But perfect for date night vibes. I would recommend making reservation ahead because this place can get busy quick. This place is Viet cuisine infused with Japanese, however I would not order pho and the Thai tea whisky again( the drink is poorly made). As a Vietnamese, i would recommend any bun or ramen options on the menu instead of pho. Those are delicious and the flavors are amazing. The service is super quick and friendly too, overall I have a nice experience while dine here'

Ronna I.

Yelp
This is a cute little spot in the Seaport District. The ceiling decor is interesting with a wooden hanging forest. The tonkotsu ramen was fair. The meat was a little too tough and the flavor was underwhelming. The appetizers, however, were amazing. We ordered the sweet & sour ribs. I could have eaten a whole rack of these. The other appetizer we got was the roasted mushroom dumplings, which were equally delicious. Go on Monday and the appetizers are half off. Service is friendly and fast. We went for an early dinner so there were many tables available at that time. I would return for the appetizers.

Emily C.

Yelp
Situated between 2 hotels, Mecha Noodle Bar has the inviting fragrance of rich and comforting broth when you enter. The wait staff have Naruto headgear and are extremely friendly. Kitchen was extremely fast. I ordered the Spicy Miso Broth after debating between the Spicy Beef. The curly thick noodles are always my favorite and the Spicy Beef did not have them. The broth needs to be mixed as the miso seemed to stick to the noodles to be a salty burst of umami. Noodles had a good bite to them, broth was a bit salty, chashu was fatty and tender. The tamago I added was done right, and the menma was pretty good but lacked the crunch and depth of flavor for some of my favorites. Overall, a good bowl of ramen with friendly and fast service!

Len Y.

Yelp
Quick service and happy waitstaff makes this place a favorite in West Hartford or New Haven. Rich succulent broth and multiple protein combos, meat, chicken, fish, and tendons round out the base. Add your fresh vegetables and sauces and you're in for a Vietnamese feast, and that's just the Pho. The hot oil dumplings, steamed or pan fried are to die for, and save the sauce to top your noodles. The mushroom dumplings are superb.. a simple wood crafted in a bamboo style keep the space bright and keep noise down and conversation up. Enjoy

Natalie V.

Yelp
This is a pretty decent spot if you're craving some pho or a noodle dish. It was a bit crowded but it's likely because it's right next to a few hotels so many people will dine here. I ordered a basic pho dish and it was pretty decent! I enjoyed the flavor and it was served really hot. They give you bean sprouts and lime on the side to throw in your soup. The beef in the soup was ok and they added a good amount too. It seemed a bit understaffed because the bartender was complaining for most of my time there because there were so many orders. I felt bad so I didn't have the heart to order a drink. But the boba drinks looks delicious!!

Brent O.

Yelp
Found this around the corner from our hotel and was happy we found it. Staff is so friendly and attentive. When they noticed one of our orders was late, they comped it. The kfc sliders were flavorful on different levels, combining sweet from the bao, sour fork vinegar, and savory from the chicken. It has a fun vibe with a gaming element. If you want a quiet place to hang out, not so much. Would definitely come back.

Sabrina P.

Yelp
Lots of options for noodle dishes and non-noodle dishes here. I had the ramen and my boyfriend had the pho -- I'd recommend the pho over the ramen. We had the spring rolls appetizer which was good to start with. I liked the boba Thai iced tea drink. Ambiance is good, I just thought the music was too intense at times but our waitress was really friendly and attentive. There's a lot of seating in the back of the restaurant which is where we sat but also shared seating and bar seat options when you walk in, too.

Michelle R.

Yelp
I got the pho bò with Thai chili's- absolutely delicious! My husband got kimich fried rice, also delicious. Service was great!

Qme L.

Yelp
Stopped in here on a Saturday early afternoon shortly after they opened. We were seated right away and they were very accommodating with kids! They are no jacket hooks at the seats but you can leave your jackets by the entrance. Service was very friendly. They offered to explain the menu and answer any questions. We ordered the spicy miso ramen, tonkatsu ramen, and steamed pork belly baos. The food took a while to come out even though the restaurant was relatively empty when we were first seated. The spicy miso broth lacked depth and overall just tasted salty. The chashu slices were on the leaner side which I appreciated. Noodles were chewy and cooked perfectly. Pork belly baos were pretty disappointing. Chewy slices of pork belly, small portion size and the flavors weren't right.. Overall good service and ambiance but food is not up to par.

Joseph L.

Yelp
I was blown away by Mecha's food - the flavor, the variety and choices for all types of eaters (vegetarian or non-pork) are huge. The wait is a bit long, so expect a 30 minute wait during peak hours. We started with an appetizer round of steamed baos, which are these white fluffy buns around a choice of meat and veg. We tried the shitake mushroom and korean fried chicken baos. Both delicious. I highly recommend the Korean fried chicken version - it was slightly spicy and sweet and had a nice contrast of crispiness against the soft bun. We tried 3 types of noodle soups: Pho Sizzle (flank steak with short ribs), Pho King (fermented short ribs with brisket add-on), and the Spicy Beef Ramen (brisket, chili beef broth). The grilled and slow-cooked meats were incredible. Most Vietnamese pho places add thinly sliced rare meat to the broth, which is traditional, but you end up with chewy meat. Mecha's grilled meats are so tender they fall apart.

Annie C.

Yelp
Overall a good lunch place and service was attentive without being push - they don't rush you. Food is average - noodles are not ramen, but the taste is fine. Small portion of additional bamboo for $2 was steep.

Emily O.

Yelp
This was my first time at Mecha and it was great. The whole place was filled with people and we waited only a bit. We got sat on the top part of the place but we hope next time we get sat on the main floor. The food was very yummy. The edamame was delicious with the garlic mixed in. My group got the kinoko ramen, tonkotsu ramen, and paitan. They were very accommodating for my friend that has allergies and didn't eat meat. For drinks, we got spill the tea, sifu lee, and the mango lassi boba. I'd definitely recommend the sifu lee!!!

Sierra B.

Yelp
Mecha was an absolutely amazing experience, they are in an amazing location, they have a beautiful and friendly staff, everyone was an ABSOLUTE DELIGHT and the food was flavourful, fresh and such a culinary treat! the drinks were top tier as well! I really enjoyed how our waiter gave us a tour of the menu and had suggestions ready after every section! 5 Star first time experience . This will be my Boston spot! We lived the drinks with options to stay sober or booze it up! Opted for the bubble or boba tea mango tequila and mezcal blend and. The slushy was boozie as well and featured lemon aid with hibiscus and pomegranate superb

Larry V.

Yelp
Great experience....warm welcome as soon as I walked in, we did not have reservations but Natalie kept us company and educated us on the menu while we were waiting. The whole staff hustles and works in unison all with smiles on their face. Bartender made great drinks, Thai ice teas were amazing. We decided to stick with ramen and the broths were amazing, not a vegan but I had the vegan mushroom broth recommended by Natalie and it was amazing. the appetizer dumplings were the best I ever had. highly recommend and can't wait to go back. Super casual experience but big flavors for a small chain.

Thi C.

Yelp
I love freshly fried eggrolls! The Ramen was also super tasty, and I wish I could have taken the rest home, but I was visiting and at least got to enjoy it while here. The service was very prompt and friendly. Oh, and don't forget the boba! I got the mango one (spiked, of course )!

Chi S.

Yelp
Pretty cool with Naruto and other anime themed decor. Ramen was very good, cocktails were a bit sweet but not too bad. Will go back for sure

Katherine R.

Yelp
Very good pho and a cool vibe but I didn't love the seating setup. I tried the chicken pho and had a bite of my friends spicy ramen and both were incredible! I would highly recommend. The vibe of the restaurant is rustic with wood and metal features all around but the seating isn't great. The seats are just stools on the ground with no backs and there is a community table that you can get randomly sat at. The bar is not first come first serve either so it can be tough to be seated without a wait! Luckily it looks like they run a good takeout business so you can always take the yummy pho to go!

Yelp
We made a last minute decision to get dinner at Mecha noodle bar after seeing a lot of other restaurants had waits. We were lucky to get seated immediately. I got the pho tai with brisket ($4 extra). The soup was savory and tasty (can't speak to its authenticity) and the noodles were well cooked. Overall it was a very smooth tasting, comforting dish. The rare meat was in strips rather than thin slices, but was pretty good. The brisket was kind of disappointing -- for $4 extra, they gave me two pieces of pure fat and only one piece of actual meat. I also got the temple drink (non-alcoholic version) with passionfruit, pineapple, and boba. It tastes exactly as you would expect and is on the sweeter side. It's not a boba specialty shop so don't expect anything amazing, but it does its job and is probably quite good as a cocktail. Overall I was pleasantly surprised by the pho. It hit the spot on a cold day and wasn't too heavy. I wouldn't get the brisket again, though, if that's their typical brisket composition.

Yelp
First time coming here and it was a very pleasant experience. I really enjoyed the vibe as well and it wasn't too crowded. Their was also a dj playing house music which I enjoyed and their was anime on the TVs. The food was also really delicious we ordered mushroom dumplings and I got the vegetarian ramen. I loved the dumplings they have lost of flavor but my ramen was a little too salty and one dimensional. It was still good tho! Also pj I believe the manger gave us free drinks very tasty !

Yelp
Food was bad, drinks were bad, staff was really friendly though. If you want noodles go elsewhere. Never coming back ever again.

Yelp
Mecha is always a reliable choice for good ramen and pho in the Boston area. Another highlight is their pork buns, really haven't been able to find any better around town! Usually pretty relaxed during the day, might get a bit busy at night and you'll have to wait but easy to pop over to a bar or brewery in Seaport while you wait! Staff has always been nice and attentive. A regular spot for me!
