Adorable brunch spot in the Design District. The lot had valet but other parking was a bit more challenging - there was a decent amount of street construction and the nearby street parking was filled, so we parked in the lot by The Mexican. Our waitress was stellar and welcoming. Brunch mimosas hit the spot, and all of our plates were delicious.

Everything's bigger in Texas. 🤠 This was my first time in Texas and the first restaurant I went to. The expectations were extremely high and MM didn't let me down!!!!!! 10 out of 10. I had the chicken & waffles (duh) with some bacon and got to try the blueberry frech toast. Wheww 😭😭😭😭😭 my stomach was feeling it. I also had the Let That Mango which was divineeeee. 10 out of 10. The atmosphere was very over the top and the service was excellent. A cute spot for breakfast/brunch/lunch. They had a dish with chicken and eggs called the Mother and Child Reunion. I thought that was funny.

We had a larger group in. From start to finish the experience was wonderful. Thank you Tony for being so accommodating and taking the time out to explain everything. We arrived a little earlier than expected and the table was ready for us. We had Layla as our lady of the brunch and she was wonderful. She checked in on us as often as we needed, drinks were recieved promptly and she remembered what went where. The food was great and cooked wonderfully. I'm not a big drinker but the drink menu along with the quality of it went beyond that I wanted another. This was super cute spot indoors and outdoors. The parking kind of suited but that's oak lawn/uptown area Dallas for you. Thank you for a great overall experience.

You can’t go wrong here! The food is unique and amazing. Cocktails are fresh and delicious for a hot Texas afternoon! We love to sit out on the patio with friends and order a bunch of Shareables and relax. One of the best things the moth does is the beer pairing dinners with local breweries.

Nice, large space with interesting decor with a dark yet inviting interior color palette. Service was very friendly and appropriately attentive. Food arrived quickly even with a busy restaurant. I do wish the coffee was a bit better.

First things first, if you love dining in an architectural beauty this place is it, and the food does not disappoint! Our waiter was so upbeat & personable I just wanted to spend the day chatting with him. A coworker & I had the Ahi Poke bowl & it was perfection. Our other coworker had the cob salad, it was so big we probably could have all shared it. To top off the meal, I am a big unsweet iced tea fan & this tea was freshly brewed and so tasty! 10/10 recommend!

I went to this location for lunch today and sat out on the patio since the weather was great. We got a seat right away, and within seconds our waitress came by the table. She was an amazing waitress wish more places had people like her. We ordered our food and we got it in about 10 minutes. Food was presented good, I ordered the Pepper Bacon BLT with fries. The sandwich was amazing with plenty of bacon, the fries were also amazing. The atmosphere on the patio was great, they had a concrete wall blocking the traffic from your view. Definitely will go here again and try some other food items.

Loved Meddlesome Moth. Waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu and offered great recommendations. The combination of the pork belly, marshmallow fluff, and lime sounded weird but it was a flavor bomb. The special of the night was seafood risotto, which was also a great choice.

Yelp
Great dinner and drinks to celebrate anniversary! Charlie was awesome!! Ask for his section when you go!

Yelp
Food was delicious and plenty of it. Erick was our server and wow he exceeded our expectations. we will be back

Yelp
Really enjoyed the dinner here! Great hidden gem! Eggplant appetizer- 6/10 Wish it was more tender. Sauce is a bit bland. Tuna nacho - 9/10 a little spicy and full of flavor! So good. Belgian mussels - 9/10 so delicious! Dip bread in sauce. Thai mussels- 8/10 I prefer Belgian version. Thai mussels have coconut and creamy flavor. Pastrami sandwich - 7/10 good overall, but with the bread was softer. Soy Salmon special - 8/10 sauce is a bit on sweet side, but delicious. I really liked the veggies that came with it.

Yelp
Good Atmosphere and Mostly Good Food Ordered: (App) Oysters - 4/5 - The oysters were fresh and the mignonette was great. (App) Crispy Pork Belly - 2/5 - This dish came highly recommended, but the flavors really didn't go together. The pork was cooked well, but heavily over seasoned. And the seasoning definitely did not go with the marshmallow. (App) Risotto Tots - 5/5 - We kept ordering more of these. The tots were nice and crispy and the aioli was great. (App) Dr. Pepper Ribs - 4/5 - The pork was very well seasoned and fell off the bone. (App) Moth Balls - 4/5 - Unconventional but it tasted good. Big fan the pesto. (Main) Tuscan Seafood Risotto Special - 4/5 - The risotto was cooked well, as was the seafood. It could have used a little more seasoning, but the flavor was definitely there. The patio and interior of the restaurant are very nice. The waiters were knowledgeable and we appreciated the their recommendations apart from the crispy pork belly. We were celebrating a friend's birthday, and they gave us the option to pick a complimentary dessert for him, which they brought out with a candle. Points for making it a great experience.

Yelp
Ordered the cod and chips via delivery. It looked good and great portions, however I was met with an unpleasant surprise of someone's hair in my food. Quite long actually. I was very excited to eat my food as this was my dinner after my workout, only to be met with dissatisfaction and disappointment and now I don't have anything to eat. This was extremely unpleasant.

Yelp
Had brunch on a Sunday morning right when they opened and had a good experience! Customer service is definitely top tier. We ordered the sticky buns and they were so good, I ordered some to-go as well. The entrees were very nicely portioned and were very good. The chilaquiles had a good amount of chicken that was delicious! The mother and child reunion was good as well; the chicken and poached eggs were cooked to perfection, grits were a great consistency. I do wish the jalapeño gravy was more present in the taste, you could hardly taste it and I would consider it more a sauce than gravy. I also wish the chicken was better seasoned, it was good but not super flavorful. Overall, I would recommend to anyone looking for a nice brunch spot. They did seem to get packed later in the morning so I would definitely recommend reservations.

Yelp
A cute little eclectic spot! I love the character + overall feel of it - kind of fancy casual. Kind of reminds me of a dining hall of a camp at a remote British ski town. They had great outdoor seating. The music was the right vibe. The service was polite but a bit slow. It took a while to get waters and our orders taken. Everyone was very nice + friendly though. I loved their brunch offerings - a great menu! I got the Mother & child reunion which was really unlike my typical order, or what I've ever had before. The chicken was juicy. The grits were good. The jalapeno gravy added a nice freshness, though I wished it was a bit more flavorful. It was not spicy at all. My friend got the badass bacon waffles - a very interesting combination of flavors. I wished the waffle was crispier. Both meals were noticeably not hot. Great vibes but the execution was not all the way there for me.

Yelp
Met a friend here and ate at the bar, was excited to try it in a cool part of town. I can say at the bar, the service was great and all the bartenders had recommendations and were knowledgeable on the menu. Now the food was just OK. I had the pork belly with the marshmallow fluff which was a very weird combination. The fluff was good but with the meat was.....interesting. Also tried the fries, and my friend got the eggplant dish. Everything was very bland. Probably won't return.

Marica M.

Yelp
Parking is valet only! Unless you want to park far away and walk. The interior of the restaurant was unique and had lots of stained glass mirrors above the booths. Service was good and attentive despite it being a busy Sunday morning. For drinks, I ordered a Bloody Mary and was surprised that it came with a side car beer. The beer was Millers or Coors. The bloody was well made and tasty! For entrees, my husband ordered the mother and child reunion and I ordered the rustic farmhouse skillet. The mother and child was delicious and the chicken was lightly breaded and perfectly cooked. The sauce is jalapeño based and I'm not a huge fan of that, which is why I didn't order the meal myself. Flavor profile was great though! As for the rustic farmhouse skillet, I loved the flavors of my meal. I thought it was a 5/5 flavor wise and would highly recommend it to anyone! This restaurant is definitely worth trying out!

Yelp
Some of the best biscuits and gravy I've had HANDS DOWN!! Complimentary valet but bring cash to tip the workers as well as making reservations before hand. The service was great, especially when it was very busy during Sunday Brunch. The atmosphere was very classy and more dim lighting than your basic brunch spot, but no need to dress to impress. The Rustic Farmhouse Skillet was delicious and very filling. It was season perfectly and my order came out pretty quickly. I can't wait to come back.

Yelp
It's been years since I've been here. Wanted to do Easter bunch here to try it out again. Valet took our car and once we were checked in we were seated outside on the patio which was really nice. The best part about the Easter brunch was the extra options of food. From that list we tried the lobster bisque and deviled eggs which was recommended by our waiter. What a great recommendation. So good. Even my baby liked the deviled eggs. For our meals I tried the blueberry French toast. I expected it to maybe be overly sweet but it wasn't. Just enough blueberries to bread ratio. My husband was super impressed with the sirloin hash. Said it was very filling. The best part of our meal was the waiter. I wish I remembered his name. He never forgot about us and had a great personality.

Yelp
This has become one of our favorite brunch places. We went one Sunday when it was nearly empty, and returned more recently to find it packed. Food and service were good both times. Food (4/5): We've only ordered from the brunch menu. I can approve of the sirloin hash and One-Eyed-Jack sandwich. The sandwich is a fork and knife affair and is perfect for a cold day. Nothing fancy about it, but it's good. The mother and child reunion has become one of my fiancé's favorite brunches in DFW. Drinks (5/5): I don't usually drink beer, but think it's worth trying some of the beers on tap here. The list is extensive and includes a good amount of beers I don't see on tap elsewhere. I like their Belgian selections. Ambiance (4/5): Has a bit of a beer hall vibe. Service (5/5): Courteous and professional both times. Can't complain. We sat at the bar last time we were in.

Yelp
Food is not seasoned. May be for a certain type of customer because I wouldn't consider this good food. My friends and I came here for brunch but they were not impressed, we all got different dishes as well. I will not be back. Amanda was a great server and the reason for an extra star.

David B.

Yelp
Always a great time always great service always great food recommendations in atmosphere. Certainly worth a first try it won't be your last try.

Yelp
8/10/2013 I've been to the Moth a number of times - and there is a lot to glean from everyone's Yelps here. Service ranges from stellar to terrible. The bartenders do, most of the time, seem to put off an air of "i'm superior to you" attitude. The food at HH and at night is somewhat hit and miss. I was there this week at HH. We had the mussels. I love mussels. These had all the markings of being good - BUT - ick, the salt, the salt, the salt. I like salt. But I don't want my taste buds buried in it. The red curry never came through in the taste, because there was so much salt. The duck wings were mediocre at best. They suffered a bit from being overcooked. There are some good plates on the menu - bacon lollipops, are one. You just have to sift through them. The beer is a far better story - they take great care of their kegs and serve some of the finest and most unique beer in town. The crowd in the bar is typically high-end, around 35 - 50 and attractive. I like that. That and the beer is why I keep going back. Wish they had a better wine offering, but - I guess you can't expect that from a place so well-known for its beer?

Rachel R.

Yelp
I have been here a few times, for brunch- honestly not my favorite but I did really enjoy dinner here. The drinks are amazing, go for the mezcal one if you're a fan. They switch the menu up sometimes but typically have a chicken dish, salmon dish, pork belly dish. I enjoyed the pork appetizer with marshmallows, weird but it works. The chicken was awesome over broccolini and salmon over risotto, I think. The service was amazing, as always & the indoor area is quite an experience. It's dark, moody with stained glass windows in the chapel style ceiling building. They also have a patio outside, which is nice & a great long bar when waiting for your table.

Yelp
Because Dallas has about 1,000 new restaurants opening every week, it can be easy to forget about the OG places that we love. Meddlesome Moth is one of those OGs, but I definitely won't be forgetting them anytime soon! I was pleasantly surprised to see that they have brunch! My table had the mother and child (chicken with eggs, get it? LOL!), and the chicken biscuits. Both were yummy and full of flavor! They weren't crazy busy on the Saturday that I visited so we got our food quickly. And of course, everyone loves those stained glass windows! Meddlesome Moth is back on my radar!

Yelp
Tried MM on a Sunday afternoon. Went with friends because the brunch menu sounded good. Our table started with sticky buns. Everyone enjoyed them. The Glaze and the tart berries were a great combo with the buns. I ordered the sirloin hash. I'd give it 5 thumbs down (and I only have 2 thumbs). All the ingredients make it sound like it should be really good. However, the chef that cooked my food forgot any type of seasoning on the ENTIRE dish. Ever had unseasoned beef on unseasoned hash browns with unseasoned Scrambled eggs on top? The crema it came with was decent but not enough to help the dish. Service was great, so that and the sticky buns gave them the 3 stars.

Yelp
As a foodie, I always like to look for unusual menus and new places to try. I feel like I have had many excellent meals in my lifetime, and awesome experiences... until I ate at The Meddlesome Moth. When I say it was life-altering and mind-blowing, I'm not hyperbolizing. This is hands down the best meal I have ever eaten in my lifetime, from start to finish. We enjoyed bone marrow, grilled oysters, lamb, curry polenta, labne, and two cocktails. Every single dish was phenomenal. Every. Single. Dish. The grilled oysters were the best oysters I have ever had, bar none. To top it off, the service was excellent and they offer free valet parking. Come eat here. Run, do not walk. It will truly blow your mind. This is what exceptional food tastes like, and now that I've found it I don't think anything will ever taste as good again.

Kristen C.

Yelp
We have been coming here for dinner for the last couple years and constantly say that this place is a hidden gem. I don't understand why it gets any bad reviews, we've probably been here over 15 times and never had a bad experience. Service is always 10/10 and usually can walk in! Their quality of their food is superb, specifically their steaks (meat comes from our favorite farm) and we always get the cheesecake or bread pudding for dessert. I love that you can see the kitchen and that they are always offering unique specials!

Sejal L.

Yelp
Came here for brunch for a friend's birthday a few weeks ago. They have a side area which is awesome for a larger group. A few of us had some dietary restrictions and they were pretty good about accommodating them. The server wasn't overly helpful in recommendations. They have a lot of southern food options, and ultimately we got the French toast sandwhich and the fried chicken biscuit. The French toast sandwhich wasn't the best but the fried chicken biscuit was pretty good. I wasn't blown away, but it is a decent place to try out.

Bailey B.

Yelp
A large group of us came here for brunch last weekend. This place was recommended and booked by one of our party members. Overall, I was very impressed with the service, and sadly underwhelmed with the food. First, parking! I didn't drive, but it didn't seem to be a problem; there's a complimentary valet and they park your car in a nearby garage. Our two people who drove didn't seem to have any trouble with the system. Now, my kudos: we had made reservations for our large group to attend after a bridal fitting for my friend. The fitting took way longer than we thought it would and we wound up running late. The person who made the reservation called to apologize, and the staff at the restaurant were extremely accommodating and patient -- and they even held our table for us. I truly, truly appreciate that. It made a hectic day less stressful than it might've been. Service continued to be excellent throughout our meal; our waiter was very on top of getting us refills, taking our order, and ensuring we had all our needs met. He was upbeat and fun and didn't hover, but was also extremely efficient at his job. Food and drinks came out quickly -- sometimes almost shockingly so. The atmosphere is interesting. It almost reminds me of like a mid-century modern church. Sleek and updated, but with some stained glass, lol. The images in the glass are of rockstars, so that's kinda fun. And the place looked clean. However, the food was just...okay? Since we were running late, I didn't get the lowdown on how every single person felt about their meal, but I did notice that a lot of plates were left half-eaten when we hurried out the door. The girl sitting across from me who got the special of the day (a southwestern frittata type deal) ate half of hers and told me, somewhat noncommittally, that it was fine. I will say someone in our party was absolutely raving about the espresso martini, so that's a winner! Lol. Personally, I wasn't feeling breakfast-y. Honestly, I think their more lunch-oriented items for brunch are a little lacking. But I love a good grilled cheese, so I opted for that. I subbed the soup for French fries, because I need French fries to function properly, haha. And it was...fine. Nothing special, not bad, just something to eat. I prefer my grilled cheeses on the thinner and crispier side; this was almost *too* cheesy for me in some bites. The bread was good, though it didn't much taste of jalapeños (supposed to be jalapeño cheddar bread). I'm not sure if they used mustard instead of mayo or butter or if they just put mustard on the sandwich, but there was mustard smeared on some of the crust, which I wasn't crazy about. The fries were pretty good -- definitely fresh -- but possibly as a result of being super fresh, they were still a little on the greasy side. I very much appreciate the staff and management for accommodating our large and late party! Thanks, y'all :)

Brad W.

Yelp
The restaurant ambiance is not bad and our server was very attentive to a large group. This is the only thing that earned three stars. Unfortunately, the food was not good. I had the berkshire pork chop which was so heavily salted as to be nearly inedible. The same was true for the collard greens it came with. I left a plate full of food and went home hungry. I am disappointed.

Steph C.

Yelp
Came here for brunch. The ambiance was simple yet chic. Theres outside and indoor patio as well. Our server was great, very attentive. What is a brunch without some bubbly, we ordered mimosas which were great. I ordered the French toast sandwich with egg, cheese and bacon. It was delicious. My friend ordered the fries chicken biscuit. Overall nice spot.

Yelp
This is only my experience. My daughter wanted to go her for her birthday dinner. I made reservations. Got there, there was complimentary valet (nice). The place was nice on the walk up and once you walk through door you are greeted by stain glass art work hanging from the back walls. I am not sure if something had happened but the mood was completely off. The workers smiled but there wasn't any warmth on their greeting. I explained to the hostess that I brought a cake and I gave it to her but I felt like I had to guide her or something.. I'm not sure. We were ushered to our table. The place isn't as big as I thought so I expected pretty good service being that they weren't really busy for a Saturday night. They have a really nice cocktail menu. The drinks didn't come out looking like the pictures but they did taste nice. I had the Pinky and the Grain. We ordered sharables: the bone marrow ( by the time it made it to the table it was cold and congealed) I tried to explain this to the waitress and that I wanted them but she just took them away without replacing them. We also got the moth balls ( they sound more interesting than they taste) the ahi tune skewers ( bad idea to layer so many heavy ingredients on a skewer. I tried to eat one and all the toppings feel down the front of my dress) the risotto tots were really basic. The fried pork belly also sounded better than it tasted.. it needed sea salt or some sort of seasoning. Well I took close to 2 hours to get these dishes. I was so over the atmosphere and exhausted with this experience. We didn't order entrees and I asked the waitress to pack my cake up and I was taking it home. This was a bad experience and I will never forget here again. If you just want to drink I would said this is a great spot.

Vania B.

Yelp
Came for Mother's Day lunch and I should have expected the menu options to be different, but I didn't so I was sad to learn they only offer pork belly marshmallow fluff at dinner! We got "sticky buns" as our appetizer, and it was good but basically just cinnamon rolls with fruit. I also got the "mother and child reunion" which was fried chicken with mashed potatoes and jalapeño gravy. It tasted great and the jalapeño gravy wasn't too spicy, but it wasn't the most special dish compared to their dinner selections! So I'd recommend coming here for dinner, not brunch!

Micky C.

Yelp
Came here a couple weeks ago on a business dinner. I'm the only vegan in our group and there aren't any options specifically marked as vegan on the menu (they have items marked "veg" for vegetarian but some are also or can be vegan) but our server was quickly able to confirm with the kitchen what was. I ended up with the hummus (delish) as an app and the grilled veg couscous to which I stirred in the wild mushrooms as my entree. It made for a pretty decent sized entree that I had plenty to take home. It was very good though. Everyone else seemed to like what they ordered as well. Service was very good and the ambience was very cool - dark, moody, eclectic. Though it was a pretty full house when I went on a Monday night, it wasn't so loud that you couldn't have a conversation with everyone at your table.

Melanie S.

Yelp
I've been dying to go back to Meddlesome Moth since my last visit. One year later; same table, same server and the exact same meal. I cannot recommend this place enough! The food, ambiance and service are a great package. Still don't understand the Valet. Please nix this.

Chelsea O.

Yelp
So glad we finally tried this place! Pretty dark inside, but the stained glass windows are beautiful! I will say, I felt the music got louder the longer we were there and could do without that. We tried a smattering, but really like the risotto balls and the burger! Great for a group of people and the service was good. The chocolate pot I had for dessert was AMAZING. You have to valet park. And I would recommend having a reservation.

Kathy H.

Yelp
My review is a little late but I couldn't not finish.... The Moth is great because of Sarah! She took amazing care of us while we sat at the bar. We were there the day after Thanksgiving and needing a respite from the demanding holiday, this restaurant/bar beckoned us to walk over from the Virgin hotel. So glad we did! With all the dark wood and creativity placed lighting, the atmosphere is cozy. It's a great place to hang with friends or a have a relaxing date night. The food and amazing drinks were perfect! We definitely know it's a place we'll visit again on our next trip to Dallas!

Lawrencia L.

Yelp
I went here with a late group on a Sunday and the place has adequate spacing. There's free valet that works from tips. Thankfully we made the brunch menu because after that the menu is limited to 4 items. I had French toast and a side of bacon which was good. I would try this location again.

Kirk B.

Yelp
I visited a great little gem of a place lover the weekend with interesting decor. The food was great and the service was excellent - not to mention the fabulous cocktails! It was truly a memorable evening.

Ashley P.

Yelp
My friend and I went here for brunch on New Year's day. We didn't have any reservations, but were able to easily get a seat at 11am. There are a lot of good options that can meet a variety of tastes, but I ended up getting the Bad-Ass Bacon Waffle due to its uniqueness and other reviews. My friend got the Mother & Child Reunion. The waffle itself was amazing, melt in your mouth texture. However, I am not a big fan of brie myself, so I didn't love the item as a whole. I should have known, but thought the combinations of flavors would give it a slightly different taste. If you like brie - you'll love this dish. My friend liked her dish, but it wasn't as warm as expected. I didn't think much of mine until she said it, and overall the food could have been warmer. It wasn't anything too awful though. Service was great. Food came out surprisingly fast. And I really liked the ambiance of the restaurant. It is such a different feels from anywhere else in Dallas. I feel like it is a must try due to its eclectic vibe, however, I have had better brunch experiences. I do want to come back for dinner though! Side note: I do not believe there are much other places to park other than the complimentary valet.

Allen P.

Yelp
My friends went to MM last night to celebrate a birthday and were harassed by another customer who hurled a hateful and homophobic slur at my friend. When the "manager" was informed, he was disinterested and dismissive and refused to address this outrageous and banal behaviour Our LGBTQ community and our allies should be warned to avoid this place. It isn't safe nor respectful of our community. Please do not give them your business

Stormy V.

Yelp
10/10 for the pork and marshmallow dish! Will def be back for that alone!!! 10/10! Steak skewers were yummy too! The bone marrow was not the best, the bread was way too hard to enjoy. Lots of choices for beer lovers! Francesca was great server and gave us tons of recommendations for food and drinks! Great outdoor seating area!

Alex D.

Yelp
I ended up back here for a brunch outing with some friends. They made a reservation for this. They only have valet parking there, sometimes you can find street parking or if you don't mind walking they having parking a block down behind the side of an apartment building with signs stating the reserved spots. The inside ambiance is really nice and I like the décor inside, especially the stained glass. I got the Mother and Child Reunion $19.00 with my eggs cooked over easy. This was just okay, the eggs were cooked properly and the jalapeno gravy was very tasty. My issue was with the fried chicken that was not crunchy at all. This made the whole dish texturally mushy. The service was great though, our server Francesca did a great job. I don't mind going here but value wise I don't think it is worth it. The price you pay for what you get seems off to me.

Yelp
We did a double date at Meddlesome with a couple who are regulars. The vibe is intimate and dim. Once we walked in I was immediately underwhelmed by the lack of customer service. Three people were up front looked at us and continued their conversation before acknowledging us. Food: We tried a few of the "to share" items. I'm not a big marshmallow girl but surprisingly the pork belly wasn't too bad. Traditionally pork belly is fatty but I do wish their was more meat since I don't eat the fat. The steak skewers were excellently cooked the first round but we were disappointed the second round as it was way too pink and chewy. I grew up eating pork chips so the chicken skins were a hit for the table and the sauce paired well. The Belgian mussels were also a table fav. Our friends had two espresso martinis and she said she really liked it! Not pictured was the Ahi Tuna; that was the least item finished for us; I wasn't a fan. Service: As stated above initial service wasn't great with the host. Our service with the waitress lacked as well. She rarely came to check on us which is why on multiple occasions we were without water, she forgot to put my fiancés drink in, she never introduced herself so I had to ask for her name. Had she did a proper introduction she would have known it was 2 out of the 4 first time here and could have provided some suggestions. The couple we were with said it was the worst service they had had here and was shocked. We were originally sat right by the kitchen and requested to move because I am a stickler on food being prepared a certain way. Immediately I saw cooks without gloves and didn't want to ruin the night so I asked to be moved or I would have watched them all night. Overall: If you are big on service then this place could be a hit or miss. Since we ordered 2 items twice and they both came out different, the food may be the same way. It was an okay experience and wouldn't be on my list of referrals.

Yelp
Okay...if you read my reviews or tips, or look at the photos I take, you know that I am extremely particular. I met my dear friend for New Years Day Lunch/Brunch, and it was exceptional. I had my two miniature dachshunds with me and sat on their porch. They are extremely disciplined and well behaved, and the staff treated them like gold. Our server was spot on, and the egg salad sammie with a side salad was definitely the best I have ever tasted. I can't believe I have lived here for a year and that this is the first time I have been here. Be sure to visit this local gem!

Yelp
I visited Dallas, Texas for the first time in November 2022. I met an old friend from professional school here at Meddlesome Moth in early November. We randomly choose this spot based on an online search. APPETIZER -- The pita bread with hummus was delicious. The hummus came with grape tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, and cauliflower. The hummus had an olive oil mixture on top which provided a very nice flavour. DINNER -- There is lots to choose from on the menu. I ordered the shaved Brussels sprouts which was okay. The salad dressing (red wine vinaigrette) was too overbearing for me. The chicken, which was cut down into bite-sized pieces (cube shaped) tasted dry and had very little flavour. My friend also ordered a salad but I don't remember how she liked it. I will order a meat option next time if I'm ever in the area but I doubt that I'll come all the way here for their food. It's definitely a good restaurant but I was disappointed in the Brussel sprouts salad that I ordered. PARKING -- Valet parking and you can choose an amount to pay. I liked that Venmo was a payment option because I hardly ever have cash on me. Overall, I wish I ordered something else but at least customer service was great. This restaurant has over 2000 reviews so it seems that many locals love it. **** - 68/150 total reviews in 2022 - 546 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 27 December 2022

Yelp
Nice place. Location would be better without the road construction. Food selection is limited but is above average quality for the price. Not a drinker but alcohol selection is good. Kind of higher end bar/restaurant.

Yelp
Risotto Tots and an old fashioned were a great start. Chicken breast with broccolini and an amazing cauliflower purée is great Paleo dish. Service is great in a warm, strong ambiance, which may get a little loud at times.

Yelp
Unfortunately, the moth is not as good as it used to be. The service and drinks are great but the food was just so so. The risotto tots and mussels were great. The steak skewers were just salty and the duck wings were so over fried that they were like duck jerky. The moth used to be one of my favorites but for the prices, the food just does not seem worth it any longer.

Yelp
Interestingly, I completely forgot I'd been here many years ago, and ended up back in Dallas on a business trip and got taken here by my host. The review with the benefit of experience is unchanged. They do have a great beer list, but gosh is it lacking in Texas options. The bone marrow plate has gotten worse -- it needs some actual greens and acid, and they need to roast the bones enough to melt the fat. The shrimp and grits, however, remain great. "Moth balls" are a very interesting and curiously spiced cheese stuffed pasta. Korean beef skewers scream for spice. There are some really tasty things on this menu, but you have to hunt for them.

Yelp
This is a brunch only review, dinner could be a lot better (I hope so). This place is fun inside, very unique feel and vibe. It was about half full at 12:45 on a Saturday, service was ok but it was very slow. We had the French Toast Sandwich, BLT and Biscuits and Gravy. French Toast sandwich was good! Biscuits and Gravy was very average and the BLT that was supposed to have "thick cut bacon" was average at best with no thick bacon, only super thin precooked bacon. Basically a Denny's diner BLT for $14. Many people mentioned the valet, I have to agree it's pretty funny and stupid. They parked my truck 3ft from the valet booth, so I tipped the guy $5 to park and retrieve my truck 3ft from him.

Yelp
Came here for a Friday night date night. The ambience was nice and the restaurant was moderately busy. We easily could have been sat at prime time on a Friday without a reservation. We had the Steak Tartare, Moth Balls, Cornbread and Collards and the State Fair special Bourbon Burnt Ends. All the food was very good, the burnt ends were probably our least favorite of the selection. The service was relatively quick, and bussers were quick to remove empty plates from the table. The reason I'm giving a 3 star review is because when the bill came we felt like we were being nickeled and dimed. I had ordered an extra dirty gin martini, the martini I received was not even dirty, let alone extra dirty, but it was good as is so I didn't mention anything. When we received the bill there was a 25¢ charge for "dirty" under my martini. My boyfriend ordered a tequila on the rocks and the drink ended up being $3.50 more than the price he saw on the liquor menu. The waitress advised us this was the price for "the rocks". I have to hope that the rocks drink had a higher volume of liquor then the menu price but that was not made clear to us. We also asked for 2 extra slices of bread for our tartare and they charged us $2 for that as well. We honestly really enjoyed our experience until we noticed these surprises on our bill.

Yelp
I was so looking forward to this place but was so disappointed. We had the special - Crawfish Benedict and The One Eyed Jack. The Benedict was lukewarm and the One Eyed Jack was just ok. I had a mimosa and he had coffee. He said it wasn't good at all. I can't attest to that since I don't like coffee. Service was really bad. The place wasn't packed but our server didn't seem to remember we were in her section. The place is pretty cute. Maybe with better service and food that is barely warm, it'd be good. I don't know. I don't think I'll be back to find out.

Yelp
Beautiful decor; excellent service; interesting menu; cocktails and beer selection was abundant; staff and service was knowledgeable and welcoming. It is so weird but cool to see Fried Chicken Skins on the menu because as kids we fought over eating them because it was like bacon. I would recommend to have the sauce on side since it was TOO spicy for my taste. Maybe that is intentional, to imbibe more beer? Anyway, HH was good and would go back to try more items on the menu.
