Really glad we finally tried this restaurant -- the food and service were excellent, and even the music was cool :-). Top-notch cooking and some adventurous dishes (sea cucumber carbonara!), excellent wines (with a wide selection of Jerez). Sophisticated without being stuffy. The waiters and somm were super helpful and friendly. Not inexpensive, but very worth it: a great neighborhood restaurant.

The meal that we shared here was spectacular. Each dish we selected was a good choice, honestly. The steak tartar, the creamy rice with sea urchin, and the Agnolotti were my favorite dishes. The service was really great, we enjoyed chatting with the wait staff.

I had two outstanding meals here, both on very short notice. The food was creative, expertly executed and delicious. They have an excellent cocktail list, a great selection of wines by the glass and a menu with a limited but very appealing set of choices for vegetarians. On both evenings, the service was friendly, attentive and on-point, with great suggestions for wines. I would gladly return here.

What a lovely bistro with open kitchen . You can see how those godly good stuffs were made. Also service was elegant, helpful and smiling. Food was brilliant well prepared and presented.

5/5 experience.. Started off with a seat right near the chef's kitchen. Ate some amazing oysters, had a great cocktail and the course was great too!

6 years later and this place is just a gem! Some of the best food and service I’ve experienced globally! i love the open kitchen , the flavors and the care that is put in these dishes. Do not miss the sardine pizza, steak tartare, we tried both seasonal dishes of zuchinni and tomatoes (unbelievable). The owner was so kind and made our visit so special! Thank you !!!

The service was rather frosty, as though they only want people in there with a reservation. We arrived for just a drink and took a space at the bar. The wine pour was the worst I’ve ever received in Barcelona and I’ve lived here for 4 years. Barely a 125ml pour and the wine was €10. Really not worth it when there are so many amazing nearby. I will not return.

They have open kitchen with a terrible smell all over the restaurant. The food is of Spanish style so that the taste of fish is killed with salsas, or salt, or ahumado, etc. We had a brioche with a lot of oil, a razor clam with a lot of salsa, fish with a lot of salt, the asparagus was bitter etc. The portions are small, so they recommend you to have at least 3 tapas and 3 mains per person. The music is of country style, which is strange. The interior is beautiful and the service is great. The food is nicely presented, but the taste is a disaster.

Excellent service , I was a walked in and they were able to accommodate me on the bar area . I will recommend to make reservations if you are 2 or more . Very popular place , great appetizers/starters , you need to order at least 3 starters if you are by yourself . Incredible flavors in each bite and very relax atmosphere. You can watch the check preparing your meal

Wow! Seriously the best food on our trip to Barcelona! The food was amazing! The cocktails and wines were fantastic and the service was impeccable.

Fantastic creative food in a nice ambiance. Everything we had was just fantastic. Highlights were the razor clam ceviche (served in the shell) as well as the grilled suckling pig. But so were countless other plates. Amazing wine selection too. Friendly service. I will for sure come back once we are in town again.

Very imaginative dishes with flavors, textures and ingredients that leave you shaking your head in umami bliss. There is definitely an element of modern gastronomy that you see on cooking and travel shows. Highlights include: everything we ordered. Just go and order what sounds good and you'll be quite happy. The staff was very friendly, conversational and informed about preparation and ingredients used in the food. I recommend sitting at the bar so you can see the chefs in action at the different cooking stations For me, this was super high end cuisine without the super high end price tag. This restaurant would hold up in any major international city. It's not specifically Catalan; it's just great food in a great atmosphere in a great city.

This place is fabulous! Very nice atmosphere, super nice staff. The decor is comfortable, table are nice And the food is just wonderful, beautiful to look at and tasty. Interesting creative dishes. No doubt that this place will become a huge hit and hard to get a reservation in a very near future!

I have to start by saying wow!!!. This restaurant is a gem in the heart of Barcelona. My family and I had a fantastic dining experience at Mediamanga. Excellent service and every dish we tried was prepared to perfection! Highly recommend this restaurant to all the locals and the tourist if you are seeking a high quality meal with the best value for what you pay.

This place deserves some more Yelp love! The concierge at my hotel recommended this place and after searching for it on yelp and seeing limited reviews I was skeptical... but I'm so glad that I ended up going for dinner!! Great ambience, friendly and professional service, and best of all...the food. Everything was seasoned to perfection and did an amazing job of elevating traditional Spanish cuisine. I hope you have a chance to check this place out. Definitely one of the best dining experiences that I've had in Barcelona.

Super cozy, yummy tapas & wine bar. We went here because a friend recommended it but probably would have missed it otherwise. Everything we had was delicious - razor clams, ceviche, beef tartare, scallops, and eggs with sea cucumbers. Dessert was especially delicious!

An excellent restaurant to relax and enjoy great wine and tapas. More expensive than the typical tourist tapas but well worth the spend. Unique flavors and beautiful plating. We enjoyed all of our choices. The tuna tartare, scallops and lamb were all exquisite.

My wife and I have been in Barcelona for several days now. With such an extensive food scene it becomes difficult to find a place to have a nice dinner together without feeling like we're just another patron. We found Mediamanga in the Michelin Guide and it was within walking distance of our hotel so we made reservation and decided to give it a try. Atmosphere: The restaurant is a very small and cozy space but there is plenty of room for you to be lost with your partner and experience a night to yourself. Service: The wait staff and service has been the best we have experienced on our trip. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff. They paid attention to every detail and made sure every small thing was addressed. During our meal my wife looked to me and said, "this service is better than American service." Food: Aside from the service, the food was amazing! After tasting the first bite it was evident this restaurant deserved to be in the Michelin Guide. The depth of flavor is out of this world. Visually, you can see the passion and heart the chefs put into each plate. Recommendation: 10/10 I would recommend Mediamanga. One of Barcelona's finest for sure!

Perfect spot for date night! Came here by accident, as we had been recommended to visit the spot next door, Mont Bar. They are connected by the same people, however so we were happy to try this restaurant when we found Mont Bar was closed that day. We had lots of tapas-- crunchy rice, mussels, tuna and steak tartare, and finished with the pork rib. Each dish was incredible! A little pricey but worth it.

Wow, wow, wow. So we were wandering around and we stopped here for a glass of wine and a snack to hold us over till dinner. Well after the appetizer we decided to stay for dinner and more. Appetizer: scrambled eggs w baby squid and mushrooms. Amazing. Dinner: Entree 1. red mullet - not gonna try to describe what they did because it won't do it justice. Entree 2. Pork rib with a cole slaw. Again, sounds mundane but they made it amazing. Finally, cheesecake served in a hollowed out beetroot. What??? Ya, it was amazing. Total for all this? 80 euros. And the waiters were incredible. They asked if we wanted to split the entrees. We said yes so they brought them out one at a time. They helped us choose our meals and were very attentive. I say "they" because we had 4 people helping us. Our main waiter and 3 others that kept tabs on us. Wow. A+

The concierge at the hotel we were staying at recommended this place. Best Tapas I've had. Ever. Highly recommend this place. Food was great. So was the service.

The hotel recommended this place to us telling us that the food was great. While it was good, it was not as great as we expected it to be. We were willing to overlook that since the ambiance was great and the service was great. However, when the bill came we were shocked. The wine we had ordered was 10 times more than what we were told. The waiter told us it was 169 Euros. We trusted him and did not check the menu. We were surprised when it was 1,690 Euros. When asked he kept repeating 169. I would be weary of frequenting this establishment. While we should have been more careful, we were intentionally mislead.

Best meal we have had in Spain after 7 days and that is saying a lot. Super welcoming upon arrival and seated us at the bar. We had a round of drinks and then enjoyed some amazing dishes. The Russian salad with avocado and the carpaccio were stand out starters and scallop dish stole the show. Must have lemon pie for dolce. Truly a special meal. Would return.

Wow!!!! Don't let the size and its simplicity fool you.... one of the most deliciously creative meals we've ever enJoyed!!!!

Best food and experience we've had in Barcelona! It's a small bustling place with a cool interior and fun vibe. The friendly staff (host, waiter, server) was warm and welcoming from the moment we were greeted. They all ended up making this a great night for our family. (They also easily modified a few of their tapas for the vegetarian in our group.) As far as the food goes... the hotel concierge recommended this place as a "gourmet tapas place" and that describes it well. We tried about 7 different tapas and then finished splitting the sliced Ribeye steak and three desserts. Too many unique dishes to describe here. While everybody (family of six with three kids under 14) liked a few of the tapas better than others, the overall food quality was high. Dessert was especially good including lemon ice cream, French toast with orange ice cream and a gooey chocolate tart with vanilla ice cream. I'd rate interior/vibe as 5 stars, staff as 5 stars and food as 4.5 stars. Overall I'd highly recommend this place.
