Frequently highlighted by the Amarillo Convention & Visitor Council, Medi Park is the heartbeat of community recreation in the city. Its expansive lake, walking trails, and shady playgrounds attract families and fitness enthusiasts, while the proximity to the Don Harrington Discovery Center and Amarillo Botanical Gardens makes it a go-to hub for locals. Recent reviews in local media praise its accessibility, well-kept grounds, and the vibrant energy of weekend gatherings, making this park a favorite for picnics, outdoor exercise, and relaxed afternoons by the water.
We used to really enjoy this park but now.. it's absolutely filthy. Disgusting. And I saw plenty of areas that need fixing/upgrading. A large random hole any child could get thier foot trapped in and break an ankle. Pretty disappointed in the state of this park, otherwise it would be perfect. It's always really nasty underneath the picnic tables too.

Traveling through Amarillo. Quick stop for the kids. Great park! Shades over the equipment. Lots to do; swings, zip line, spinning obstacles. Restrooms (2 only); close proximity and spacious. Splash pad with plenty of tables under shade. Clean.

This place is a little slice of paradise In an otherwise flat and uneventful city. From the way the garden is laid out to the delicate art features. If your into nature there is something for you! They have a complete enclosed garden which is a nice highlight and of course the Japanese section with a full Koi fish pond.

It has a very long jogging/walking trail. It has had new lighting added along the walkways. It's a pretty nice park. It would be nicer if people would stop throwing their trash on the ground and in the water. I used to walk my dog there and have seen gross things like used condoms and syringes 🤢.

One of the first parks I've walked in Amarillo and let me tell you, it's beautiful!! It has the best of both worlds, plenty of sun and plenty of shade! This is important to me because I have lupus and can not be in direct sunlight for a long length of time.
