My experience with Medici and its conjoined neighbor, Littlefields, was limited because all I ordered was a Topochico. They had a different brand of mineral water, but that was perfectly fine with me. That to say, I didn’t eat any of the food at Medici or tacos at LittleFields, but based on the reviews of others it sounds like they are solid.
There were two notable aspects I’d mention, however. There is an Astroturf-covered area that is fenced in and which looks great for kids to play around. In fact there were a number of young parents with kids and it seemed the perfect environment to meet with a friend over a cup of coffee and let your kids play together. The Medici/Littlefields footprint does get crowded, however, and picnic tables that could normally accommodate four if not six adults if they sat closely together will now only accommodate two, sitting across from each other. There are probably eight stools at a bar along the top, so arrive early and grab a spot if you are meeting someone.
The other aspect is something that I would think would be much more of an issue for women than a guy. The only bathroom is a very narrow porta potty out back. It’s not one of those deals where there is a small sink and mirror and such. This is one of those that you have a hard time even turning around in, and I would certainly not expect a woman to sit down there and do her business.
That last paragraph got more ink than it deserved. Overall, this is a very cool meeting spot for coffee and small bites.
