Going to Medieval Times Is Even Better as an Adult - Eater

"Often drenched in ’90s nostalgia, there is no place on earth quite like Medieval Times. I had been to Medieval Times — essentially Middle Ages dinner theater with horses, sword fights, and a simple meal that you eat with your hands — a few times in the ’90s, at least once on a school field trip and another time with my family. I had fond memories of the novelty of tearing apart a roasted chicken with my hands, sipping nonalcoholic daiquiris out of a fluted souvenir glass, and perhaps most importantly, wearing a crown with flowers and ribbons that streamed down my back. Medieval Times is, of course, intended to inspire this kind of awe and joy in children who actually believe that the knights are real. But as I realized a few weeks ago, going to Medieval Times as an adult fucking rules." - Amy McCarthy

It was my first time going to Medieval Times and it really surprised me in a good way. The show was super entertaining and I was so into it that I found it hard to eat and watch at the same time. I just couldn’t take my eyes off the performance.⚔️ To be honest, the food was okay, nothing too special. (chicken, garlic bread, corns and potato🥔)But the staff there were all really friendly and professional. Our server was also very nice and helpful. The performance was amazing. Both the actors and the animals did a great job and made the whole experience really enjoyable.🐎🦅 ⭐️⭐️I definitely recommend getting the VIP package. It’s just a bit more expensive, but you get early entry and better seats closer to the action — totally worth it. This place is great for families, couples, or any group of friends. I definitely think it’s worth checking out.

This was my daughter first time going. Saying she enjoyed it, is a understatement. The food was great. The half chicken was perfectly cooked, and moist. The server was very friendly and great with kids. The show was very entertaining and lasted 2 hours. The fact they take photo and sign the banner is amazing for the kids. The horses are well taking cared of, and staff make sure of the safety.

A wonderful and engaging attraction, especially great for children. The show is just the right length — entertaining without being too long for young attention spans. The ticket price is very reasonable for the experience provided. One special thing I truly appreciated: they proactively offer takeout boxes for any leftover food, without you even having to ask. I find this initiative remarkable and commend the company for making this a standard practice. Well done!

Google
Fun for the whole family. We were here August 2025. Family and friends had a great time at dinner. The knights, servers and entire staff/cast were terrific. Even the harder to please members of the group were entertained. The whole affair was about 1 1/2 long. Parking was a little difficult as the lot we chose in advance to use was closed which put us into a traffic conundrum. We ended up having to loop around in rush hour to get back to another lot. Once there we had plenty of room and it was a short walk up to the establishment.

What an incredible evening! Top notch entertainment! Everything was stellar with one exception I'll place at the end. From the moment we arrived this incredible adventure began with a full immersion experience of Medieval adventure, all staff members were helpful, excited to be there with a genuine excitement. The interior decorations and themes were well done, and amazingly well run. The event itself is incredible with the horses, fighting, dangerous displays with weapons, and very well choreographed acting. The service was amazing, the food was even better than I expected and worth it. (I'd love to see how the behind the scenes of the operation works!) The animals looked well cared for and everything ran smoothly. Well done Medieval Times! Well done. Do yourself a favour and make time to go! I don't think you can, but also hopefully try getting sat in the sides of the arena as opposed to the corners or ends as this is where most of the action happens. A word for the event management, please have some of the off horse duals happen in the ends as opposed to center. Thank you!

Had a great time with my Aunt ! Took her there for her first time and she loved every second of it! They really get the crowds involved and supporting their knights and put on a really good show! Overall food was delicious. Drinks were expensive but standard for restaurant prices really! Overall had a really good time ! Great place for adults and kids !

Today, we had the joy of attending a knight show for the second time, and it was truly a magical experience! From the moment we arrived, the warm welcome made us feel right at home. We captured a lovely photo as a keepsake and found ourselves surrounded by a beautiful hall filled with souvenirs and gifts. It was heartwarming to meet the king and queen who graciously knighted us. The show itself was enchanting, and the delicious food added to the overall experience. The atmosphere really transported us back to those noble knightly times. I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved in making this show possible—the dedicated servers, the caring individuals who look after the horses, and of course, the talented organizers. Your hard work and passion truly shine through, and we appreciate all that you do! Also, a big Thanks to the Mrs.Cindy, who spend time and help us to have best experience!!!

Google
What an amazing experience! I went to Medieval Times and had an absolute blast—I’d 100% go again. From start to finish, the show was entertaining, interactive, and so much fun. The knights, the horses, the cheering—everything made you feel like you were part of the action. The food was surprisingly great too! Big portions, delicious, and it added to the medieval vibe eating with your hands. Whether you’re going with family, friends, or for a unique night out, it’s a full-on experience you won’t forget. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I took my family to the Medieval Times Dinner theatre. We had a good time. The place is huge. The place opens up 75 minutes before your dinner/show, but going early is not advised unless you want to look at all the toys and items for sale. You are assigned a colour and table number and when you go in they will had you your ticket and your crown aligned with your colour. We paid for VIP which entitled us to go in before others (without VIP) so you can choose your seats at your table. The show begins as they're begging to serve food. There's a King and Queen and there are 8 knights that are vying to win. The show is ok but it's hard to understand everything they're saying and to follow the story. The dinner begins with a tomato soup, followed by garlic bread. The soup was good. The garlic bread was not very garlicky. You're entitled to 2 soft drinks (Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, or 7UP), water, or can select from their bar menu. Then, they serve a half chicken rotisserie style (good size), half potato with spices and half a corn on the cob. All was tasty! For dessert, they give a little eclair with coffee and tea. The coffee was cold and terrible. As an aside, If going, plug Green P parking 856 as your destination in your GPS as it's the closest parking lot ($15).

Yelp
Fun dinner and entertainment combo!!! Very interactive. We were all cheering and waving flags for our knight

Yelp
Stepped back in time to the land of Lords and Ladies, with kings and Queens, Knights and Knaves. The atmosphere makes it easy to get into character as we cheered our knight to victory, however, our knight didn't win..... There is a decent variety of beverages, with never ending soft drinks with the meal or alcohol if you choose to purchase. The meal is a half chicken dinner with soup and toast to start and accompanied by a half cob of corn and a roast potato, it's a lot of food followed by a small desert eclair. The arena is busy with knightly action from start to finish. Being about a two hours long it's a great show with characters that really keep the feel going. Loved the whole show. When in Toronto, I would recommend this to all Knights and Knaves, Queens and Wenches.

Yelp
Different country, same tourist trap. I would recommend purchasing your tickets online. Hopefully, you can find a discount such as a Groupon or something. This place is kind of pricey. I liked the Orlando one better. It seemed more interative. They do not have their own private parking lot. I ended paying $15 to park in a commercial lot behind the arena. I should have probably checked one of those parking apps before I came, to see if I could save a few bucks. They suggest that you arrive there an hour before the event to participate in the pre-game festivities. I found the festivities lacking, boring and pretty uneventful. You can basically buy souvenirs, flags and blinky stuff, purchase drinks, see one of the falcons from the show, and see some of the horses in a stable. For an extra fee, you can have your kids be part of a royal ceremony. They only have their drink menu digital that you have to pull up using a QR code. However, I did not have cellular service and they did not have wifi, so I was not able to see a menu. I think they should have a few paper copies for those that are unable to pull up the the digital one for whatever reason. The bartender was able to give me a description of some things thatI may like and I chose from there. Most of the people purchased the VIP upgrade, which I am glad that I didn't because I still had great seats. There are really no bad seats in the arena. VIP just gets you in the front 2 rows. I ended up in the 3rd row, in the center of the arena. We were the black and yellow night and we cheered as hard as we could. However, the Green knight was victorious on that evening. The staff was awesome. Very friendly and energetic. They stay in character the entire show. Our server Bessie was the best. The show is decent, my kids were very entertained. It is not a big deal, but it seams that the "winner" of the tournament is predetermined. I think that the winner should be decided by audience participation though. that would be really cool. The show lasted about an hour and a half. My favorite part was the intro and the tournament part. My kids loved the sparks flying from the clashing swords. My daughter liked the knights throwing flowers into the audience, after they won certain tasks, mainly because she got one. The food was ok. It was decent for max produced/buffet food. You get a ton of it. There is baked chicken, baked potatoes, and soup. There is a limited selection of drinks that are included. Or you can purchase from the full bar or get a slushie (at a fee). We could not finish our food and had to get a to-go box. Don't get me wrong this is fun, but it does not compare to the other Medieval Times that I went to. There was no meet and greets, It is also very pricey for what you get. You should go in with a budget, becuase you can easily lose track of what you are spending with all the add-ons, trinkets and drinks available. Parking was also included at the other ones. So, you have to budget for that as well.

Yelp
I felt nostalgic after remembering going here as an elementary school student. I came prepared this time by bringing my own cutlery and Tupperware to take food home (they slam a literal whole chicken on your plate). Show was good, a bit repetitive. But you don't come here for quality, but for the experience. The soup tasted like Campbell's can, the bread was Texas toast from a box, but the chicken was juicy and well seasoned. Worth going once if you're a medieval fanatic.

Yelp
Medieval times is a great dining experience for all ages. The service was a little slow but not too bad. The food was good. First, we had dragons blood (tomato soup) which was a little cold but it tasted nice. Next we had garlic bread it was nicely toasted and had just the right amount of seasoning. For the main course there was chicken and it came with corn on the cob and baked potato. The chicken seasoning was great but it was way too big. One piece of chicken was enough for three people! For dessert they served a chocolate éclair sort of thing filled with cream. It was good but a bit too sweet. The tournament was definitely set up but it was very interesting to watch. For drinks there was a choice of Pepsi, water or 7up. Overall medieval times is a great show with good food. -MS From my perspective, this is great family fun that you have to do once if your kids are still young. It's immersive and entertaining with a lot of food. Maybe too much food, they should have a smaller portion for kids because there is no way any kid can finish a half chicken of that size. Some small issues included the volume being too loud but at the same time you couldn't hear the dialogue of the actors, very strange. Also a lot of upselling of flags, flowers etc...plastic junk that will end up in the garbage. Last comment is you don't need to be there an hour before. There are things to see in the lobby but not an hours worth. After 15 mins the kids were bored and just wanted to sit down and see the show.

Yelp
Gord and I went to Medieval Times (at Exhibition Place) yesterday afternoon. Our pal, Dewey, is "Lord Cedric" and that's why we went. We were assigned to cheer for the green knight. Artemis was our server ... he was fun. A meal is included in the cost of the ticket at Medieval Times. It was dragon's blood soup (tomato soup), garlic bread, a half chicken, a half potato, a half ear of corn, a chocolate eclair and unlimited pop ... lots of food! Our green knight won his bout but then he got arrogant and lost to another knight. It was a fun afternoon!

Yelp
Last time I was here I was 5 years old and things have changed but the feeling hasn't. I took my date here who's never been and opted for the top tier package for a memorable night. We had 3rd row seating and a filling meal. The service was nice and my date had a rose given to her by our knight. Now I think I have to dual him lol. All in all great entertainment. Would recommend for all groups including routy folks. Good fun alternative to clubs and bars. If you talk to your server they may let you know where the after party is!

Yelp
This is the 5th castle we've been to, but first one out of the United States. Yes, we will not be traveling to this castle ever again. While the show and performers were great, the service was not. I needed to take a small child to the bathroom during the show and they took my wine glass while I was gone. It still had wine in it!!! They literally took away alcohol I paid good money for. Then, I asked for coffee (which is included in the price of the ticket) and never got it. Amanda the server just brought us the tray to put her tip in. Side note: it took us. 90 minutes by car to get there. We were in a hotel 9.8 miles away. Almost missed the beginning of the show. Just know that if you plan to drive in, give yourself a couple of hours even if you are in the city.

Yelp
Great night out for family of all ages (5 years to 70 years old). Great venue, beautiful and graceful horses, friendly staff, great food and great show.

Yelp
We booked a VIP ticket for an evening at Medieval Times to celebrate an important occasion but the server( Wench Cat) ruined our experience. Since it was our first time there, any question asked was replied in a very unpleasant, rude tone. Even the way she was serving the food made us feel as if we were not guest but beggars and she's doing a favour by dumping food on our plate. I noticed the other servers interacting, cracking jokes and making the audience cheer for their team but our server didn't even prompt us once to cheer. I don't know if she was discriminating (I wear head covering) or it's just her personality. The show and ambience was good but she definitely ruined our evening.

Yelp
You get out of it what you put into it. Let's get the negatives out of the way: 1) expensive as hell 2) food = meh The dark meat chicken is tasty, and hard to mess up. White meat is dry, the potato is like cardboard, the eclair is shipped from Guam frozen probably. The soda is flat and watered down. And for what I paid I could probably get a stem cell milkshake. But whatever. The performers are amazing not just actors, but athletes, gymnasts, equestrians, damn this is a tough gig. And they do it so damn well. Throwing spears, jousting, and 1-on-1 with a variety of weapons that throw fucking *sparks*. You are not going to get that shit at your local production of My Fair Lady. You get assigned a knight to root for, and you better. The more you yell and cheer, the more fun you have. I mean it, if you act bored and think you're too good for it, you'll feel like you wasted your kids' inheritance. But if you can muster some enthusiasm, I mean like yell so loud the actors look at you like you're on crack, then you'll get your money's worth. See, it's a drama, and *you are part of it*. If you believe this, then it's worth every penny. I yelled so loud my voice is destroyed for a couple days. And I have nothing but good memories and love in my heart for all of these amazing performers. Bonus: if you get into it, your kids will have more fun, and that's some good family shit right there. Go there and participate with all your heart.

Yelp
Dinner and a show? Awesome! I've always wanted to go as a child but am glad I eventually got to as an adult. The food was pretty decent! You have to eat everything with your hands so get ready! The garlic bread was my favourite. I could've eaten half a dozen of them. The soup was served in a bowl with a handle which was fun. The chicken wasn't as dry, but it was way too much. The skin was really tasty though. The potato had good seasoning and the dessert was a nice touch at the end. We had VIP passes for a large group so we got one free drink and a copy of a group photo after the show. The show itself was really entertaining and they knew how to hype up the crowd. It was really fun cheering for your knight!

Yelp
5 stars for the show, but 0 stars for the food as several of us got food poisoning and the food wasn't great to begin with. The show, decor, and actors were all great. You are seated in a color coded section and have a little flag to wave for your knight so cheer well for them to help the theme. There was jousting, horses dancing, sword fights with sparks flying, falconry, and other impressive displays. The knights will also throw a few carnations into the crowd as well. You can buy merch in the main entrance hall and get pictures taken with the knights. The standard meal is a roast chicken while the vegetarian/vegan option is a bean and tomato soup. I attached pics of the menu options. The food was a bit bland in my opinion, but the waiter comes by often. I kind of wish they had a show only option after the food poisoning.

Yelp
Thoroughly enjoyed our experience for my sons 9th birthday! Very entertaining and extra exciting because our knight won the tournament! A lot of fun for a memorable family outing, especially for kids under 10. I would rate it higher but I find the ticket price a little too expensive. Food was good but just average and the portions were too large. There was no way my 9 year old or 6 year old could finish their meals. A kids size meal would be a great option and less wasteful. Overall a lot of fun for families, amazing service, and great option for kids with winter birthdays!

Yelp
Come one, come all to the Medieval Times. Rather than sports as we know it today, why not turn back the clock to the Middle Ages by heading to a sporting event fit for a king! This was our family's first show experience. Upon settling into the seating area belonging to our knight, intros were made by Queen Maria Isabella and the tournament host. Queue the Game of Thrones music... What followed was an exciting lineup of knights, horses, falconry and intense jousting. This all culminated in the knights' semi-dramatic hand-to-hand combat action with sparks flying from clashing swords, all to win the Queen's favour. A fun event for the whole family, with cheering kids and adults alike engaged in the tournament action. Lit sword, wand and axe toys were popular with the kids too, and reasonably priced I might add. Did I mention that the show also provided food for the experience? Roasted chicken, sweet buttered corn, herb-basted potato and tomato bisque; all ate with our hands like medieval times! The sweet corn was a highlight, though the half chicken was unevenly cooked but was helped down by drowning some ale. The (s)eating area was clean and refreshing with no horse scent. Even the story, armour, fight scenes and music were recently refreshed. While I ain't a European history buff, there's also some education within these castle walls. The six coloured knights are in fact based on real Spanish kingdoms from the Middle Ages. Hence their horses were of the sturdy Spanish Andalusian breed. Our section crowd was particularly jovial as our valiant knight earned the kingdom's chivalry title on this night.

Yelp
Only MT location in Canada. Our server Daniel was very attentive, funny and provided excellent service. The meal was very good especially the roast chicken and soup. Tonight's dessert was a chocolate hot dog (eclair) and the rest of the food was very good. Drinks are a little pricey but you get a MY branded souvenir stein/goblet/drinking. vesssel. The gift shop had a range of gifts starting at $1.00 for a single letter keychain, flower head garlands for $29.00 The show itself was very entertaining and was fun both cheering for your "knight" and watching the several aspects of the show. A little pricey but overall it was very good.

Yelp
Come one, come all, to the greatest feast of all! I always have a good time at Medieval Times and I've been going every few years for the last 10 years (oh wait, I went when I was in grade school too, that was decades ago!) This time was different as I had my little ones in tow. I took my family for the dinner and show in a Saturday, right before additional Covid restrictions lifted. They checked out vaccination passport outside which helped with the flow of patrons into the castle. We arrived promptly an hour before our showtime, parked on Dufferin for $3/hour. I know my kids and how they would beg for the stuff at the gift shop, so I dressed up my princess and knight for the show. Everyone had the their masks on in the main area where you can buy souvenirs, look at the majestic horses in their stables and buy drinks at the bar (the drinks come with a souvenir cup, it's not a covid thing, they've always had this, but there wasn't a price list). The 2-hour show was entertaining and my 4yo and 6yo thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We sat in the green section, right by the queen, though I doubt there is a bad seat in the house. They rushed through getting the food out and our server Daisy came around with pop twice. First course is a tasty tomato soup. I prefer my soup piping hot, but I totally understand that that would be a hazard for this kind of event. Next came the garlic toast, corn, half a potato and half chicken. The chicken was seasoned nicely, but only on the outside/on the skin. Good thing Daisy gave me packets of hot sauce to help with the taste. They do serve coffee and coffee, but it's luke warm and I wouldn't drink it myself. Every one gets the same food, regardless of whether you're an adult or child. Don't worry, if you don't finish, you can pack it to go! To finish off the meal, we had ice cream with chocolate sauce and I got an orange sorbet (not sure why). All of these was handed out within the first hour of the show. The reason being they usually have 2 shows running back to back, so they have to feed the folks and them get them out so the next group can get in. Since I've seen the show numerous times, I knew the sort of thing they would do. The older shoes had a villian and the knights had to fight him. This show didn't have a bad guy and the knights just battled each other. There's a falconer and horse dancing segment as well. The knights do come up by the audience twice to hand out carnations. Carnation is the national flower of Spain and that is why the knights throw carnations during the show! The green knight gave one to my daughter and she was just over the moon! My family thoroughly enjoyed the show and the kids are already asking to go back. If do you do go, make sure you use their promo code 15MT for 15% off the tickets, valid until the end of the year.

Yelp
Each year, my department at work holds a summer event for all of us to unwind, hang out, and bond. We had a choice between visiting a brewery or going to Medieval Times. The latter won. Although I had voted for the former, it is insane that I have never been to Medieval Times in my life. I was happy to check it out. I drove down and found parking next to the venue for a flat rate of $13. You are free to park there till 6 pm. As I casually walked over to the main entrance, I found my manager on his motorcycle. We chatted for a bit, as he was searching for free parking. He eventually did. It's a perk for driving a smaller vehicle. While I was stopped to talk to him, I didn't realize that my intern was half a block behind me. She told me later that she thought that I was either lost or helping the strange man with directions. When I broke the news that the strange man (accurate description) was our manager, she laughed hard. Naturally, half our team was late. As a group, you need to be there by 10 am for the 11 am show. Thank goodness for the hour cushion. Anyway, once we sorted out how one of us got lost, one was stuck in traffic, and one was taking the GO train from Mississauga, we found one another and walked in. It was a bit confusing having individual tickets and understanding the instructions to go into one line. We needed a colour assigned to us, so we could cheer on the coloured knight. We went into the lineup without this assignment and without any staff member checking our tickets out, so we had to go back and get that corrected. Swimming upstream when you have kids going in the opposite direction isn't fun. Additionally, the flow to get your paper crowns wasn't the best. Anyway, we eventually got our paper crowns and knight colours (we were red and black), and walked into what looked like a massive gift shop. I swear that every item had a price attached to it and was for sale. I saw a full-length metal knight armour piece that was going for $5,500. I can't see myself owning it. It was quite the cash grab. You can get everything from pointy princess hats to glow-in-the-dark swords. My team also got our photo taken with a lord. I felt like I was in elementary school. I was told to move to the back. I am one of the taller folks on my team. We caved and paid $28 with tax for this commemorative photo. The washrooms were clean, but the lines were long. I used it before and after the show, as the show runs for two hours. We were led into the arena by knight colour. When red and black were called, we proudly walked over to our seats and sat down. Our show started at 11 am. They did tricks with and on their horses, participated in jousts, and role-played sword-fighting and killing one other. It was like watching WWE (wresting) matches, but during the medieval period. It was fun and entertaining. We got a crash course in cheering our knight, and booing all other knights. We have adapted booing and cheering in our team meetings ever since this event. We cheer great decisions and boo horrible ones now. I was impressed by how everyone stayed in character, with British accents, for the entire two hours. Mind you, the actors do these shows so often that I'm sure that they can recite their lines in their sleep with the accent. We got fed. I didn't think that I could eat half a roasted chicken before noon. It was okay. You aren't provided cutlery, but you can get through it with your hands. There wasn't any sauce, as it was dry. I ended up dunking my chunks of meat in the tomato soup that came first. I loved the soup. The consistency and flavour were yummy. I also liked the slice of garlic bread that came with it. We also got half a baked potato and corn on the cob as sides. I loved the seasoning on the baked potato. I absolutely love corn and ate it all. I got to drink Diet Pepsi throughout our meal. Our server was wonderful and refilled my cup later on in the show. For dessert, we got a scoop of vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce drizzled on top. I ate it all. I'm not big on caramel sauce in general. I wish that we got more. It was good. My colleague and friend wondered why our company wasn't mentioned over the speaker. The Aurora kids camp was acknowledged. A mental community was also mentioned. I told her that I cheered for the mental community, as I felt that it was the closest fit. She howled. After the show, you can meet all the knights and cast members. If you want to, you can take photos with them and get their autographs. Naturally, you had gift items in your face. I resisted and moved on. I got to visit the horses. They were recovering from a day in the office and looked peaceful eating. I'm glad that I got to experience Medieval Times at long last. I wouldn't go there all the time, but it's definitely fun when you go with a bunch of folks to have a good time. (331)

Yelp
A trip to downtown Toronto for my daughter and friends' daughter's birthday presents from me. About a 10-minute or so walk from the Exhibition GO Train. We arrived 3:20pm and entered right away. Which was nice as it was 29°c & a hot walk in the sun. We were greeted by a young man, very friendly, and asked my last name. Everything was ready for us. We went in. Got our crowns 'Red & Yellow' is the Knight we're cheering. Had a VIP lanyard as I had the upgraded 'Celebration pkg' (100% recommend). I also got the 2 girls (8 & 12yo) the 'Knighting Ceremony' (100% recommend). Knighted by the Queen, a pic, a scroll! Enjoyed speaking with Sir William about the Falcon, Sir Lancealot. Took pics. Walked around, chatted with staff and other guests, and looked at the horses, the artifacts. We were called to go be seated about 4:10pm (4:30pm start). HAD AN AWFUL, DISGUSTING ENCOUNTER WITH a 'so-called' supervisor named SARAH. She was extremely RUDE and had poor behavior towards an ELDERLY male GUEST. I spoke up, and she did not like that. Words were said. She had the NERVE to LOOK ME UP & DOWN!!! I had to walk away at this point. We kept walking to our section (middle), and everyone was very welcoming! Arrived to our seats **(if you have mobility issues, get accessible seating as you have to basically crawl in/out of the chairs). We were greeted by our 'Man Wench' Stanley - so welcoming and very friendly, especially to the girls calling them princesses. He introduced himself and explained what he'll be assisting us for the evening. And to our dismay, we were given the pleasure of yet another HORRIFIC ENCOUNTER WITH SARAH!! She telling me that 'she's Stanley's superior, she's the supervisor, that I had no right to involve myself in the situation with the other guest, that THIS IS HOW THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO TALK TO PEOPLE/GUESTS'... Not 1 person from entry, throughout the castle, gift shop, pic takers, Knighting check-in staff, random staff, spoke to myself or girls, nor did I overhear other staff speak like that. I firmly requested to Sarah "please leave you are ruining our experience" 2 separate times. She then said that if I continued, "she'd throw me out" very loudly & pointed to the door. I didn't do anything, I did not raise my voice or swear at her, I just told her how to treat people when you work in the service industry (as I have since '99). And asked her 2 walk away from us as she was upsetting me & my 2 girls. Finally, my 3rd time requesting that she walk away, I received 1 more nasty look, and thankfully, she finally walked away, not to be seen again for the rest of the evening. I refused to use the washroom in case I'd run into her & have a 3rd uncomfortable conflict with this awful woman, Sarah. After she finally walked away, I had the pleasure of 10 mins calming myself & my 2 girls down so that we could enjoy the show. The show started, and dinner was served! Dinner was great. 1st - soup 'Dragons Blood' tomato (warm) (drink from the bowl, no spoon). 2nd - garlic bread (cooked, cool & hard), dipped in soup, was better. (Then the bowl is removed). 3rd - 1/2 of a delicious, seasoned, moist, and hot chicken (btw, you are eating with your hands, but you can get a fork if requested). While eating chicken, out comes 1/2 a seasoned baked potato and a buttered corn on the cob. Both are very yummy! The food was 4 You receive 2 glasses of soft drinks or water. ** Wished, iced tea, milk, chocolate milk, or juice was provided for children** Was asked 3x if we had dietary restrictions (we didn't). We had the celebration upgraded, so we received cake with the castle desser + choice of coffee or tea. The show was fantastic! Although we enjoyed our 'Red & yellow' Knight, the Blue Knight was extremely upbeat, with his section getting them to cheer for him. He was also yelling with the blue section, etc... Our Knight threw a pink carnation to my 8yo daughter (who is so happy about this). The dinner & show was 2 hours. It was a bit chilly in there. I wish I had a light coat. No big deal, tho. I gave 2 out of 5 stars due to my horrible unfortunate incidents with SARAH (small frame, caucasian, dark hair with 2 light streaks on each side of her hair) she SHOULD not be in customer service or proudly declare that she is a supervisor of Medieval Times Toronto. Sad! #DoBetterMedievalTimesToronto #SorryNotSorry #TreatPeopleTheWayYouWantToBeTreated.

Yelp
Maybe a 3 star experience for me, but nearly a 5 star for my kids so this should level out. It isn't the cheapest experience, but I imagine running this facility, caring for several quality horses, paying trainers, staff, actors, etc... means that it's probably fair value even if it isn't cheap. With that said, I am fortunate to have a work discount which probably made the difference in my family deciding to go along with friends of ours and their kids. I'd also mention that, for me, there's no need to pay for the VIP experience as the seating area is not terribly large and maybe only 10-15 rows deep. You'll get a perfectly good view even with regular admission. All the servers are in character ("my lord, "my lady") and it's a fairly high level of service as they came by frequently. They do offer beer and wine as well as cocktails too. Your meal is included and you eat 'medieval' style with your hands. It comes with a half chicken (yep, that much), garlic bread, tomato soup, corn and a couple other things. The chicken tastes like it's prepared in those industrial size air fryers, so there's good crips on the skin and it was cooked well, but there's not much else to it. I saw another server had hot sauce on her and was grateful he had some. Maybe they'd consider having that out in advance as well as more seasoning on the chicken - even if that's outside the medieval theme. The main part is the show of course. It's similar to pro-wresting in a way in that it's simulated fighting, but also in that you get out as much as you put into it. I thought they did a good job of timing their fight sequences and making impact with their hits. Of course you're getting more out of it than wrestling as it involves horses with the joust, and there's all sorts of medieval weaponry such as swords, spears, morning star, etc... Most importantly, it's a lot more fun if you get behind your knight, boo the rival and play along with the story. They have all the characters accessible in the lobby, gift shop area afterwards which is nice and a lot of fun for kids to see their knight, princess, etc... in person and take pictures alongside them (for free too!). For me, it was fun and worth it since I was with my kids. I don't think I could muster that much excitement if was just with people my age, but since there's literally hundreds of thousands of families in the region, I think they offer a good option for such a big demographic.

Yelp
The show/performance The most highlight when we experienced in the restaurant is the show. The performance is beyond amazing and it gave me goosebumps. It is very highly recommended to visit at least one in a life time. Service Our server Richie gave us an excellence service. My husband loves hot sauce more than he love me. Most of busy restaurant would ignore his request but Richie came back with it although he was so busy. Kudos to all the staffs at the restaurants for excellent service and carrying a heavy tray. Everyone sweat so much but still give us the greatest service. The food :( The food is not that great in my opinion. The chicken was quite dry and lack of seasoning. The corn was lacking of butter and the potato is too tough. The eclaire in the end was too dry and too little cream. Sadly, the food is not amazing as everything else, or else, this review would have been 5 stars.

Yelp
Amazing show! Went with bunch of friends, would also be a fun family event. Everyone was very professional and well performed. We had tomato bisque, roasted chicken, corn, potato and garlic bread for dinner. It was a LOT of food. Very family friendly!

Yelp
You feel like you walked into the middle ages for an enchanting experience. You three course meal includes your dragon blood soup aka tomato soup served with garlic toast, second course is your baby dragon aka chicken with roasted potatoes and corn on the Cobb, third is dessert which may be cake or ice cream all served with a beverage to wash it down. The sword fighting and jousting to see which knight will win is so incredible and enjoyable.

Yelp
You feel like you just stepped into the Renaissance period, the show is so amazing.Your meal consists of tomato soup and garlic toast , next comes your chicken with roasted potatoes and corn on the Cobb and finally a dessert, all served with your choice of beverage. Then the jousting and sword fighting to see which knight will win, such an amazing experience.

Yelp
Was a different experience in a good way. Definitely going around 45 mins prior was good enough time to enter and see the pre show small acts and check the bar.seating is good and from every angle we can see so that's not a problem. Food - tomato bisque , garlic bread , potato, roasted chicken, ice cream and beverages. Very average ! Be patient since there order in which food is served can change and there can be delays. The show - was good , I won't say much as it's good to experience but must say the show is worth it Souvenir - seemed expensive but you can buy glasses at the bar and get discounted refill.

Yelp
Ok my first time ever doing Medieval times even though I've heard of them ever since I was in highschool. I was really looking forward to eating like a Savage dirty hands and all! So I will say that the show ambiance was really good. I'd say that service being it's a dinner while you watch a show was really good our server really was great especially since she was probably serving 50 heads at the same time was quite impressive. The show was good a bit corny at moments but the overall the horses tricks, jousting, and falcon show was awesome and loved the fact it was ok to shout Boooooo. Now the biggest let down of everything was the food. I wouldn't say it wasn't the worst but was underwhelming. My Chicken although so juicy and what you'd want it to be not over cooked or undercooked just no seasoning. The tomato soup just tasted like tomato juice. The Potato probably was the only thing that had any flavor. Overall the show was great food ehhh. Being that you're paying so much for both the show and a dinner it's worth it to experience at least a couple of times but not worth becoming a regular.

Yelp
This place is great for kids. Before kids, I'm not sure this place has much appeal. But with kids, this place is fantastic. The show is really top notch. The horses are spectacular. The jousting is as convincing as it gets. The man-on-man combat sequences with different weapons is amazing. It takes a lot of skills, and is not without an element of danger. These stunt actors are the real deal. The costumes are also spectacular. The highlight of the show is the single horse prancing/dancing sequence that is about 10 minutes long. It seems like a very high level of horse training. One complaint about the show is that it is a little too wordy at times. The food is a lot of fun. Not haut cuisine by any stretch, but pretty decent half roast chicken that is well executed. Best of all, you get to eat it with your hands, midieval feast style. The sides were good too, and so was the tomato soup for appetizer. The alcoholic beverages are marked up pretty steep. My only complaint about the experience is that it's not the most hygienic meal setting. Eating next to horses cannot be overly hygienic, I don't suppose. But they could afford to clean the place better, especially the run-down seats. The staff is very proficient. They carry huge trays of food and beverages and manage to feed a huge crowd under difficult circumstances. At the end of the meal, the manager comes by to make sure everything was satisfactory. Nice touch. In all, a top-notch dinner-entertainment experience.

Yelp
It's a fun and unique experience that was on my bucket list. I was happy to check off. The show was entertaining. (Especially if you're a 10 year old girl) It made this 40+ year old feel like a kid again. The meal was good, but not fantastic. I recommend going to a show at least one time. Although I think that one time is enough.

Yelp
Absolutely raving about our experience! First time back after 15 years, and was unsure about our experience and the covid precautions. We were amazed at how well they handled crowds and seating and felt very comfortable being there. The food is decent but not good, they do give you half a chicken which is a lot of food. Throughout the show you will be eating, so it's really "dinner and show". Now moving on to the atmosphere... everyone there is there to have fun and they get really into it, which creates a really exciting environment. The show is great, and the whole cast including the animals are very well trained. The show is very well produced. You will be smiling the whole night! Definitely something to do in the city for that's for everyone !

Yelp
My mother bought me my ticket for my birthday. She was to come with me. She hurt her back so I brought my 5 year old grandson. He is now Warrior Ayden. We had the best time of our lives. We yelled and cheered the whole way through the show. We live an hour and a half away. Warrior Ayden was out cold in 15 minutes. We are returning in June for his 6th birthday. He can't wait. We'll worth every dollar paid and then some. HUZZAA!!!!!

Yelp
I've been to Medieval Times before, but this was by far the worst experience I've had there. First of all, the parking was a complete nightmare. There was only one entrance in, and we made 3 loops around the castle trying to find the entrance to the parking lot. It was not clear. Not at all. We gave ourselves an hour to get there from High Park so we should have been there with plenty of time to spare, but instead ended up getting there with less than ten minutes to spare meaning we had no time to explore the castle's gift shop or other features. The screening process wasn't too bad, but they could use an extra screener or two to get the line moving faster. They also seemed to pay more attention to helping the big groups and left us to fend for ourselves to go fetch a crown. We really needed a drink after the stressful parking debacle, so once we got inside, we asked the bar if the servers at the table would serve us alcohol because we didn't want to miss the show. They assured us they would come to the table. In hindsight we should of just ordered there We sat down JUST as the show was starting, but we were encouraged to bend down under the rails to get to our seats as to not bother the other guests. We did do this, but the person I was with has a metal rod in their leg which makes it difficult for them to bend like that. There was social distancing between seats/groups, but no social distancing being enforced in the castle once the show was over. Our waitress came by and assured us the woman taking bar orders was coming by, but it took her more than an hour to get there... we didn't get our drinks until our dinner was basically done. The waitress was in such a hurry, she knocked my friend's garlic bread off his plate as she put the chicken on. Then at the end I wanted to take my chicken breast home and she just grabbed my plate and dumped it in the bin before asking if I was done or wanted a box. She didn't even ask if I wanted a new piece after I said something to her. She then came around asking for gratuity, when we've already paid a high price for tickets and for alcohol including tip. She only seemed overly friendly when gratuity was being collected. I will say, the show itself was really good, as always. A little disappointed that our knight didn't seem to win a single thing. He either came in second or completely lost every single event. It would be nice if he could have won at least one thing.

Yelp
Never too old for Medieval Times!!! We came here with a group of ~20 people to celebrate two birthdays in the group. We got one of the Birthday VIP packages that included additional things such as group photo for everybody, cake, and slushies. This was my third time going to Medieval Times and second time going to the Toronto castle. It looks like they have changed up the story a little bit by featuring the Queen. Overall the performance was great and it's always so fun cheering for your knight! Now onto the food: Not sure if it's because we went during Thanksgiving weekend or because Medieval times have improved on their menu... but this time we got half a chicken each instead of the quarter chicken (as I remembered from my memory). That was a nice change because honestly the quarter chicken was a bit small for an adult. We were very satisfied with the meal afterwards. The additional slushie and cake that came with the package was just average. Slushie came in a cute little cup in the shape of a knight's head that you can keep as souvenir afterwards. The cake was nothing special. But hey, Medieval Times is more about the experience and the performance than the actual food served :) At the end of the night, one of the birthday girl got crowned the Queen of Beauty and got a photo with the Queen and our knight. It might be because we had the largest group and we bought that celebration package? It was a pretty exciting experience haha! Childhood dreams come true :) Definitely recommend this to people of all ages for any type of occasion!

Yelp
I love Medieval Times, so when I was in Toronto I was excited to experience this show again. It's as good as the one I've visited in the US, the staff is friendly, the atmosphere is fantastic and it's super family friendly. I would recommend to visit this especially for those with kids, although my young 2 years old was a bit scared at first, after 10 minutes she really enjoyed it. Overall, great fun activity to do on the weekend.

Yelp
This was my 6th experience at Medieval Times. My fiancé and I went to celebrate our engagement (his first time). The way I ranted and raved about how wonderful the experience was had his equally excited about his first time. Well- that's where the excitement ends. We went all out- upgraded our packages, bought the crowns and banners- we were ready for the tournament. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT to be greeted with paper cups and plates!!?? Wth!!? When I inquired about the less than gracious setting, we were informed "a dragon had eaten their dishwasher" (aka. Not in working order) however- it had been down for over a month... I'm not sure how a place that makes that kind of money can't afford to replace an industrial dishwasher. It really did take away from the entire experience. Fast forward to the meal... served Tomato bisque to start - it was hot but tasted like clamorous juice- that was all... followed by flat warm watered down pop - we asked for water as you honestly could not force yourself to down their so called potion. Next came the garlic bread- that was so hard and stale it cut my fiancé's mouth and I pulled a piece from the middle of the bread and swallowed but was inedible. I would suggest serving with the Clamato juice soup next time so it can be dipped and bearable to eat. The chicken came next. It was a very fair helping (half a chicken) greasy on the outside and dry as sin on the inside. The baked potato was actually good and hot and the corn on the cob was small and tasted like it had been sitting for hours but none the less- not terrible. The show was entertaining and fun. I understand this is mainly what you are paying for- but the experience as a whole adds to the show. My daughter has been looking forward to going for her birthday which is in the near future. Sadly, we won't be going. We will find another venue. Unfortunately, for the cost involved and the overall lack of effort to please their clientele, this is no longer a desirable event. We left sick to our stomachs and highly disappointed... I'm not sure what has changed over the years but I suggest resorting back to pre-cuts and bring back the true experience before you end up closing your doors forever.

Yelp
We came here with a group of about 12 for a birthday and had upgraded to the 'celebration package' - honestly, don't bother .... not worth it. The horses were well trained. The actors had ridiculous accents and they called everyone My Lord or My Lady but I guess it's because it is 'Medieval Times'. There was a short falcon show which was nice. Before you go into the main seating area they do a little show out in the open area but it's rather hard to hear since everyone is chatting. There is so much for sale that's overpriced before you go out to the arena area so watch your pockets if you bring the kids. You can also buy alcoholic beverages before you go into the main arena (you can buy it there as well), if you drink, believe me, the show is more bearable inebriated. They say go early, but I don't think you have to. I think any seat in the house will do. Bathrooms can be full at times and cramped so wherever you do end up sitting - get an end row. No need to try to sit in the first row - the arena is small so any seat will do. The food is actually good but they do give you a 1/2 chicken which is a bit excessive - you can ask for takeaway containers. There are no utensils to eat with and they only give you one napkin - we did get a fork for bday cake ... which is part of the upgrade. They forgot to give us bday cake until we told them we had upgraded though. If you're going to go - try to find a coupon. It's expensive. Good to try it at least once with school aged children - not sure if you would want to bring babies in here - can be dusty, it's dark and loud. The arena area got pretty warm and I was wearing short sleeves and jeans. Would I go again? Likely not unless it was free and the drinks were flowing. I found the show a bit too long.

Yelp
We used to go here every year for Valentine's Day and loved it. This time, however, we were fed on cheap paper plates instead of the proper cast iron dishes they used to use. After paying $83 a ticket (that's what it comes to after tax and fees), I expect to be fed on proper plates and I don't think that's too much to ask. It totally ruined the medieval immersion. I can get fed at the food court in the Eaton Centre on proper dishes and that's a FOOD COURT. As a side note, the soup was also incredibly washed down that it barely tasted like soup.

Yelp
Got the vip package so we didn't have to go early and reserve seats and also so we get front row seats. I did not like how they cram as many people as they possibly can onto each row. If you're in the middle and needed to use the bathroom you're going to have to climb your chair to get out. Our server was super enthusiastic and friendly. Service was great although it does seem like they rush you when you're eating to get to the next item on the menu. I guess it's because the entire experience runs on a schedule. And I'm a slow eater so that doesn't help. The show was spectacular and it's so engaging. I also love how the performers interact with the audience as much as they can. I would give the show a 5/5. Food was decent. Nothing too great but some things did taste really good. Loved the tomato bisque And the corn that came with the chicken. Chicken was well seasoned and a good size. I give the food a 3.5/5. One thing I really can't get over is that there is no family washroom. I was with an individual of the opposite gender with a disability with me and it was not possible to let him into the mens washroom alone with a big crowd. A family washroom would come in a handy at this point. I eventually told a staff there of our situation and they were able to help although we had to wait a while. They really need a family washroom to accommodate the diverse population. Overall, I give this whole experience a 3.5/5.

Yelp
We almost got the full experience. Our meals were served on paper plates and plastic cups, if that was the case might as well go the whole nine yards and provide cutlery. Wasn't a huge fan of having to use my hands to eat. We got tomato soup, garlic bread (extremely hard & crunchy), half a chicken, corn & a slice of potato. The taste was good, nothing that stood out. The entertainment was exquisite. Was very impressed with how well trained the horses and falcon were. The knights and squires did a great job with acting out their fight scenes & battles. If you need to use the washroom, make sure you go before the show or during because everyone goes at the end, it's extremely packed and horrible.

Yelp
So 1st thing is first.... you get a nice big dinner, you eat it all with your hands tho! The soup was probably my favourite of the dinner course. The desert pastry was also pretty great. I like how hey give you enough time to eat without really missing much of the show. The food and beverages are all included in the price but alcoholic drinks are separate. The show itself was great! The people in the arena are quiet interactive with the audience, from throwing them a flower to giving them ribbons, makes it pretty interesting experience. All in all, I'd give this a five star rating. It is better when the show is more full with audience tho! If it's your birthday, come in with ID to prove it, and you'll get a free entry.

Yelp
As a child I attended this dinner tournament. Now as an adult when some of my friends suggested it, I was up for the adventure. majestic af. I'm not sure what the vegetarian options would be, but the half chicken consumed by ripping with hands was great. As my friend commented about the chicken and potato, "do you have any Ye Ole Hot Sauce?" If you by a reusable stein, refills of beer are less than a jays game. Their tap list was something to be desired... big brands of pasteurized ice-cold soulless shit. They need ALES. That would pair well with the jousting, sword fights, and food consumption via hands. They didn't have lagers and refrigerators back in those times... or microphones or indoor plumbing, haha The theatrics of the tournament and the styling of this event were entertaining to adult-self as much as they where when i was a youth. If you love GOT and stepping into another era, definitely hit up here.

Yelp
As many other reviewers have noted, this is really a one-and-done type of experience. Maybe once every decade or so, to be fair. The Experience: They do a great job with the experience. There are a wide variety of items to buy, from wooden swords and shields (hey mom, at least it's not a gun!) to princess hats and some surprisingly affordable t-shirts--especially compared to other places in Toronto! For the high end Lords, there are real weapons for purchase, including replicas of some doozies from "Game of Thrones." The staff are more friendly than most, which definitely helps you spend money. You get plenty of time to walk around the quite expansive center square area to peruse the stands, though some more seating would have been appreciated. The color paper crown they give you determines which section you are seated in. Spoiler alert: The section with the loudest crowd will have the winning knight. Food is average, but let's be honest, that's not why we're here. The action is the attraction, and they do a good job, complete with English accents (which I've always found funny; we have no idea if they talked that way hundreds of years ago, why do we just accept it as gospel?). The knights are all capable horsemen and you even get some sparks when swords clang together. Back to the food, the tomato bisque soup is surprisingly good. The garlic bread is store bought, as is the rotating dessert (we had lemon pound cake, which we enjoyed). The chicken is large but the skin can be tough--hey, you try cooking for 300 people at once--outside of that it's a hearty piece of meat that shouldn't leave you hungry. I scored a Black Friday deal on tickets, I've heard that coupon codes are plentiful so look around before making a reservation.

Yelp
I booked the Celebration Package for us which included priority castle access, VIP seating, VIP lanyard, personalized birthday announcement, cake, cheering banner, team towel, and group photo for each member of the party. It was such a great package to celebrate a birthday with! I had a good time at this event. The food was served according to the style they might have served food in the medieval times (circa 11th century) which means there were no utensils and everyone eats with their hands. It was a four-course banquet which consisted of tomato bisque soup, garlic bread, roasted half chicken, herb-basted potato, buttered corn, and pastry of the castle with two rounds of select beverages and coffee or tea. It is such a clever way of pretending like you are dining in that era while cheering on your knight. I highly recommend the Celebration Package if you intend to bring a loved one here to celebrate!

Yelp
I've been to Medieval Times twice and enjoyed it both time. I get a discount each time I went through my work's corporate code. It's entertaining and the knights are well trained. The amount of food they give you is actually filling. They service soup, chicken, potatoe and apple pie. They do not bring you utensils, so you'll have to ask for them. The show does get repetitive each time you go, however, different colour knights win each time.

Yelp
First time at Medieval Times! The experience was awesome. My boyfriend surprised me for valentine's day and got the upgraded valentine's day package that allowed us early access and preferred seating. As expected the show was spectacular. I will say seating was a bit tight and it was overcrowded as I could barely move for fear I'd bump my neighbor or spill my food. The meal was good but the real reason one goes to Medieval times is for the experience/show. I will definitely return.

Yelp
Not the same Medieval Times Food: 3/5 Okay, dry chicken Service: 3/5 Mixed feelings Environment: 3/5 Floors super sticky Washrooms: 3/5 Meh Worth it?: 2/5 Yes Medieval Times has definitely changed over the years. Some of it for the better, some of it for worse. The Good: The one thing that has gotten better over the years I have been there is the show. The horses are learning more tricks and the show seems longer. It is also nice to see that the Green knight is not always the evil one. I was extremely impressed with the falcon show. It is much longer than it used to be and he flies much closer to the crowd. The Bad: the food seems to have gotten worse over time. I miss the single rib that we used to get. The half chicken, although bigger, is overly dry. The corn was drowned in butter and the potato was over seasoned. I think the best part was the garlic bread which I feel is just Texas Toast from no frills. The Ugly: the worst part of Medieval Times and The reason why I won't be going back is how they try to sell you things constantly. When you come in they try to sell you a photo with a knight, one with the falcon and the golden chair. All sold separately. When you are at your seat people come around disrupting the show to sell you flags, light up swords and more photos. They come around with the same items multiple times also! I used to take guest to Toronto to Medieval Times but it is no longer a good time. On a side note OMG the floors are sticky! Do they mop with soda?

Yelp
Parking/traffic is a nightmare! Take transit! Overall, it's a good experience but I was quite sensitive to the treatment of some of the animals. The falcons on display seemed quite visibly distressed - chewing their restraints and flapping their wings very hard. The falcon show was amazing - I think she was just happy to be free of her restraints & able to fly! One of the queens' dancing horses was very heavily drooling (not just drool but foam - which is not acceptance of the bit) during the show - also extremely agitated. I saw some of the horses being handled VERY roughly during the performance. It was unsettling & killed the experience for me personally. It's sad they won't response to the tough treatment of the horses. Nice try. https://www.ocweekly.com/medieval-times-sued-animal-cruelty/ Apparently the staff aren't treated very well either. Our man wench Andrew was the best part of the evening- so funny & efficient. Stayed in full character the whole night. Explaining to us that our food was cooked with "dragon fire" & the soup was "dragons blood" (more like watered down, concentrated tomato soup from a powder mix.) The corn was mush, the chicken was a huge portion - well cooked but kind of bland. Garlic toast was great. Potato was dry & cold. Tiny scoop of iced cream was decent soft serve. Service was exceptional by all the wenches. The MC did a spectacular job. I really enjoyed his character and the care he took of his horse. Him and the red/yellow knight seemed to genuinely care for their steeds. The fighting is cheesey but well done. Overall, very enjoyable but I wish some of the actors/trainers would be a bit more caring of their animals. For the amount we paid, with discounted tickets - it was an experience but I wouldn't go again.
