Enjoyed authentic Mediterranean food! It was my first time coming in person, but I knew it’d be good because I’ve had it at a catered event. The atmosphere makes you feel at home, as a lot of natives frequent the establishment AND half is a grocery store where people shoo for household staples. The cashier is where you both check out your groceries and order food. The service was fast and friendly! I got the chicken shawarma plate, which came with two sides. I got it with falafel and a Greek salad as my sides (~$15). I also got a spinach and feta pie (~$2). The plate came with a garlic sauce that rivals any other I’ve tasted. Everything I ordered was flavorful and delicious!! Will absolutely be back.

Love the food here! A little pricey for takeout but so worth it! Kabobs, shawarma, tabbouleh, falafel and hummus are great! I love their garlic sauce.

If you are looking for a Mediterranean bakery that delivers on flavor and hospitality, this family owned gem is a must-visit. The food is absolutely fresh and bursting with authentic taste, from tender, seasoned meats to perfectly crisp falafel. The staff is welcoming, and there’s plenty of parking making it hassle free experience. Wether you are dining in or to go, this place combines delicious cuisine with excellent service. Highly recommended.

Google
It's a grocery store/ bakery. They have a wide variety of pastries, sides (grape leaves) , fresh sauces/dips (hummus, tahini, garlic ) to shop from. Parking is convenient. We ended up getting the plates of chicken shawarma & kabob, and falafel sandwich. Keep in mind, this was at their closing time. They close at 4 on Sunday. The food lacked flavor and the meat was a bit dry. Hummus was fresh and tasted good. The pita was thin and pretty fresh. This place seems much more authentic than most but we were not a fan of the food. We ended up buying a pack of whole wheat pita breads. It seems like a family business and the staff was nice. The place was fairly clean and tidy.

Google
What an amazing spot for great Mediterranean food. I had the Greek Chicken Salad. It had an excellent mix of greens and veggies along with fresh roasted chicken that was cut into bite size pieces. The fresh Greek vinaigrette was outstanding I look forward to eating here again soon.

Google
I have not shipped for groceries, but I ordered an item they said came highly recommended. The toppings were sparse and the meat was a little dry. It was editable, but there are better food choices on the same plaza.

Google
Very clean place, friendly owners and employees. The falafel sandwich, chicken shawerma plate, cheese pie, and kibbeh were delicious. Highly recommended 👌 👍

Google
If you are looking for real middle eastern food, this is the place. It is a market where you can find from tobaccos for the narguila or hookah, teas, coffees, and an infinity list of packaged product and fresh ones. Great bakery. You can have lunch here or early dinner. Very affordable. Try the cardamom coffee, the falafels are the best, my favorite in the world!

Yelp
Authentic, fresh & delicious. Perfect way to describe Mediterranean Bakery & Sandwich. I stepped in with no expectation and left feeling fulfilled! I started out with the chicken kabob platter, which included two side's additional from the rice and slaw that the meal is served with. I opted for the taboi salad and fries. I also ordered the lemon mint carbonated and peach drink. I truly enjoyed the lemon mint, so refreshing I had to purchase some to take home. Additionally, the restaurant ambiance took me away with its authenticity that matched the friendly customer service. I'm glad I found this local gem! If you're in the Chamblee area, definitely give this place a try!

Yelp
I enjoy the food from this establishment. I am from Michigan where they have a very heavy Mediterranean population in Detroit area. I haven't found a lot of that here but this place does do something for me. You will come in and it'll be the left hand side of it is a market. You can buy all so some things, they even have a section for hookah. And that's a vast hookah selection. On the right hand side you'll have the area where they have the carry out restaurant. There's a full station to where you can order food from and they have it on the heater so you can see a shaved right in front of you. The chicken shawarma in the chicken kabob sandwiches are really good. If you order the plate you can get the meat with two sides. I've had the French fries, but I feel like french fries are pretty much standard. I also had the hummus. The hummus was really good! They give you some pita bread to dip it in and it is actually great. It's usually not that busy , in the parking lot is in a mini mart or strip mall so there's plenty of parking. The only reason not in gave it five stars was because the last time I went I basically still there and nobody really greeted me. I'm big on customer service. I'm here to spend money. So I shouldn't have to stand there and wait if you to acknowledge me. But after we got going, it was a good experience.

Yelp
Mediterranean Bakery is good restaurant and "grocery store". Lots of goodies here. Today only used the restaurant part. You order at the counter and they give you a number to pick up your food. Reasonable menu of Mediterranean food. My order was the beef shawarma plate. It comes with choice of 2 sides, my choices were tabbouleh salad and humus as recommended by the counter staff. It was really good. There is indoor and outdoor seating, and since it was a nice day choose to sit outside. Prices seem high here ~$17 with tax, and that was before a drink and tip. Brisk efficient business. Conveniently located near spaghetti junction with lots of free parking in large shopping area.

Yelp
October 19th Dirty. They are very dirty!! The grill guy dropped cooking utensils on the floor and stepped on it with his shoe cause he wasn't paying attention. Floor was nasty dirty! He picked it up and continued using it. He used it to pull two skewers of chicken from the grill and into a sandwich. They served it yo the guest. I told them to stop and not to serve it and wash the utensils and they didn't give a damn. They said "it's not your problem. " Poor nasty gross hygiene!!

Karl F.

Yelp
Honestly? I came for the coffee. Not a lot of places have Turkish coffee these days. Plus, you can buy the packaged grounds to take home and brew. That said, I like their menu and love how they're using an apparent pizza oven for fresh flatbread offerings. Highly seasoned with lots of spices and generous with the lemon. Love the little dining room where you window shop the grocery store section, especially the sweets and spices. Clearly a lot of regulars and community catering as huge orders roll out every weekend accompanied by a smattering of gossip, goodwill and fond familiarity. Only drawback is the language. Be very clear about what you order, they're so busy that sometimes things get lost in the process or you get things that you were only considering out loud.

Geneva P.

Yelp
The food is always fresh, tasty and authentic. The hummus is freshly made in house along with the garlic paste which I love.

Eric Q.

Yelp
Really REALLY GOOD! Always fresh. Service is what you'd expect at a fast food-esque establishment. Also houses a small grocery store for all of your imported food needs. Expect to pay import tax + price. Eating area is on the small sideReminiscent of an old school hospital cafeteria.

Amanda J.

Yelp
We have lived nearby for over 15 years and this place is a regular on our list of take-out dinner places for us, almost weekly. The food here is definitely authentic, always fresh and consistently tastes yummy. Their chicken is my favorite. Nice choice of menu items and service is pretty fast. It is a tiny bit pricey but we think it is worth it because the food is good, nice portions, the place is really clean and it is a reliably good meal. Definitely a place to visit. Also, their grocery looks well stocked and a large variety of items. Cool little neighborhood place.

Hax A.

Yelp
Only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars was because the chicken was just a tad bit dry and the fries weren't seasoned but I have been searching high and low for some AUTHENTIC chicken shawarma. Everything about their shawarma wrap/sandwich is delicious. Even the pickles are authentic and not just vlasic pickles thrown on there. I bit into a piece of heaven and Dubai memories. YUM! I will definitely be back! I ordered: Chicken Shawarma Sandwich, add hummus and hot sauce (just say make it spicy) and fries.

David T.

Yelp
These guys are legit. High quality food and nice grocery. Service was exceptional. These folks are proud of their offerings. It's a strip mall. The food is good enough that you don't mind. Glad I found this place.

Kelly E.

Yelp
Lived in the neighborhood for 4+ years and just discovered this place. Our new favorite spot when I want to grab dinner on my way home.

Paula S.

Yelp
Had a Greek Salad with beef, huge portion and a lot of shawarma with a very tasty salad dressing. Husband had beef kebab with rice, hummus and tahini. He felt that, he will try something else next time. He did not like the rice. We also tasted their grape leaf wraps, falafel and some pastry. The baklava I had was so awesome because it was not too sweet. Only disappoinment was the Turkish coffee = nothing Turkish about that. The young man at the register (he was also cooking) was about to make me fresh coffee, but a girl handed him my already made coffee, and he did not charge me for it. They also sell some groceries and meat and cheese spinach pies. Overall a nice experience and we will go back.

Soul M.

Yelp
This is absolutely the most authentic Lebanese and Mediterranean food you will get in Atlanta and probably GA. Forget about places that are overpriced like Aziza and other places that claim to be authentic, but arent. Though this is not the best sitdown dine in place, it has the best tasting food, good service for excellent price too. Do try it! You wont regret that. I recommend absolutely anything on the menu!

Yasmine C.

Yelp
Best shawarma in town hands down. I moved to Atlanta 4 years ago and was missing my mothers shawarma and hummus. I found this place and it definitely helped with the homesickness! Tastes just like my mothers. Food is very reasonably priced and always delicious. I couldn't recommend Mediterranean bakery enough if you are wanting to try authentic middle eastern/Mediterranean cuisine.

Marwan A.

Yelp
Great Manakeesh And great chicken shawarma. I'm an enjoyer of authentic middle eastern cuisine, so I always hit this place when I'm in Atlanta

Dallyn S.

Yelp
I'm giving only 2 stars today, because the service was horrible, but the food was good. I've been here several times since I've moved here. The lady that is usually at the front counter welcomed me from my first visit and has always greeted me with a smile and friendliness. Someone new was at the counter today and she was very rude. My first clue should have been when I approached the counter. She didn't speak, so I told her we'd like to place orders to dine in. She immediately said "to go." I corrected her and we began placing our orders. She walked away from me mid-order to speak with one of the cooks. I tried to dismiss this to possible language barriers... but smiles, friendliness, and warm welcomes are universal. Anyway we received our meals and noticed that everyone else that entered was greeted with a smile. I try not to play the race card but that's the only notable difference between me and my parents, and everyone else that came in. Sometimes I say that a person could be having a bad or "off" day... but then if that were the case, everyone would have been treated poorly, right? Anyway, I may return, but only if the lady that I usually encounter is working.

Julie K.

Yelp
If you want authentic Mediterranean, this is the place to go. You can also pick up fresh pita and garlic spreads and baba ganoush. 10 out of 10 every time.

Don B.

Yelp
This was my first visit, but it won't be my last. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and guided through the menu. I got a chicken kebab platter with fattoush and hummus. The hummus was amazing. There's also a great grocery store with lots of amazing items.

Angela R.

Yelp
Delicious! The baba ghanouj, to die for, with those pitas, not the starchy tough ones, but thin and so tasty. Try the house hot tea, special spice blend - yum! We also shopped the market for fresh tzatziki and spinach pies. We'll be back to try the kebab.

Dr. TL E.

Yelp
Today was my first day back in the office. This place on my mind most of the day! They didn't disappoint! I always have to get a fatoush salad with chicken and lady fingers for dessert. I can eat off this one plate a few times. The portion size is always so generous. Delicious!! This mafe made my 50 mile commute worth the drive.

Joseph H.

Yelp
This is both a bakery and store where food inserted. I liked the selection of mid eastern groce e ies and foods available. Love their shishkabob and falafel.

Tina J.

Yelp
Great place for the real deal! Fast and excellent food with a grocery store inside as well

Caduceus J.

Yelp
Disappointment, thy name is Mediterranean Bakery! We ate here years ago and it was excellent. Unfortunately, times have changed - and very much for the worse. We ordered a chicken shawarma plate and a lamb kebob plate. The chicken meat was so dry, it was like sawdust. The lamb was also overcooked and dried out. Meat was overly salted and the portions were stingy for $15 and $17, respectively. Amazingly, the pita they served with it was stale, approaching cardboard! The only good things were the baba ganoush and the side of garlic sauce (which we remembered as terrific and still is). The quality had fallen so drastically we wonder if they changed ownership. Folks, unless they up their game, you'd do well to give this place a miss.

Farrah S.

Yelp
Was tired of the same lunch options so I tried this place based on Yelp! Needless to say I have been back 3 times!! The food is always prepared fast and fresh. The lady at the register could be a bit more pleasant but other than that I love the place!

Al R.

Yelp
This place is the best for Mediterranean food, and there's an authentic Lebanese market attached to the restaurant as well if you'd like to shop. Everything is super fresh from the breads baked onsite to the shawarma dishes and salads....the tabouli is the best I've ever had. If you want to try something unique, get the Lahmajoun meat pie, sublime. We eaten in here and loved it but get to go more now, either way you will love this spot.

Barry B.

Yelp
Right off 285 at Chamblee Tucker Rd exit, this restaurant is in a small shopping center a block from the exit. Plenty of parking. It is more like a Lebanese grocery, bakery, and restaurant. When you walk in there is a menu on the wall. Fairly basic Mediterranean menu, falafels, kabobs, etc. We went for lunch on a Sunday lunch. You order at the cash register and they call your number when ready. I ordered the Falafel pita with fries. My partner ordered the Kofta platter that comes with two sides, he chose hummus and tabouli. The falafel was good, it was more of a falafel wrapped in a pita-like bread. The fries were delicious. My partners meal was more elaborate and I tasted the hummus and tabouli, they were excellent. Around 10 dollars per person, overall good food, I've had better falafel pitas, but next time I'll order something else. The hummus is worth the trip alone.

Jason B.

Yelp
This place is located inside of a grocery store and it's ok, the chicken was little dry for my taste. Not sure if I would come here again.

Sri S.

Yelp
Great food. Nice people and service. Love this place. Our Egyptian friend says the food is authentic and plenty. Would love to go back to eat there. Thanks

Tracy P.

Yelp
Great little cafe inside a Lebanese-Syrian grocery. Sandwiches and plates-- plates come with two sides. Recommend the falafel plate with hummus and babaghanouj

EK C.

Yelp
I throughly enjoy a good eatery in a grocery store and Mediterranean Bakery certainly falls into that category. Hubby and I came here on one of our date nights. The staff all wore masks and the place was pretty empty. They mixed up my entree with hubby's sides but no harm, no foul. The only let down was the spinach and feta pie. The pie was dry, rubbery, and lacked filling. However. The kebabs, pickles, rice, and salad was fantastic. The hummus was average but fresh, and the baklava was delish! A solid place for some decent Mediterranean for sure.

Claudia A.

Yelp
This was a great little find! You walk in and see a little store and kitchen but don't let that dissuade you. The food is great and the staff is very friendly. The lamb kabob is on point. The perfect blend of spices. The chicken shawarma was good too but it has a lighter garlicky flavor. I'll pass on it next time and instead go for something else. I got grape leaves as a side (amazing) and babaganouj( eggplant hummus). Prices range from $8 for a sandwich to $12 for the plate. Everything comes as a sandwich or plate from the kabobs to the babaganouj . Make sure you save time to browse the store. You'll find all sorts of gems. I took home some Turkish delight, canned grape leaves and pickled veggies.

Jamarcus T.

Yelp
I came to Mediterranean Bakery years ago and wasn't impressed with their food, and pretty much stayed away from them. During a horrible traffic jam on 285, I pulled off and decided to go on in. Dang, why'd I wait so long to come back??? Mediterranean Bakery & Sandwich is more of a Lebanese variety of mediterranean foods, and in addition to the actual restaurant, you have a Lebanese grocery store attached to the bakery. On my trip today I got the following: Beef Shawarma Sandwich ($6.79) Original Baklava ($1.50) Chocolate glazed baklava ($1.50) So, right off the bat, the Beef Sharwarma sandwich was delicious. Flavors burst from it, the wrap wasn't soggy, nor was it sloppily wrapped. The beef was a thin sliced and chopped meat, which wasn't tough or chewy, the veggies stuffed inside were nice a fresh as well, and the serving size was just enough. I really enjoyed this wrap! The Original Baklava was also pretty delicious with a flaky crust and soaked in butter/honey. The nuts here were not mushy and while it was sweet, it wasn't so sweet that I couldn't enjoy it. Like the wrap, I really enjoyed this, although the serving size was a bit small for me. The chocolate glazed baklava was likely the weakest item here, because it was simply okay. It wasn't very flaky, maybe due to the chocolate glaze, and it just didn't have the flavors the original had. I'll likely skip this one next time. Located in a decently sized strip found behind a McDonalds, parking here is shared, and has never been a problem. There is a red light exit to get to I-285, but you can easily get out of this lot if you turn right instead of left. If you're stuck in traffic, or even if you're not, Mediterranean Bakery is worth a stop in.

Cherie L.

Yelp
Quick review. Ambiance: cafeteria style. Lots of seats and chairs. Customer service: nice. English isn't their first language and that's totally okay. They're kind and friendly. Food: 8/10: chicken shawarma and beef shawarma. Chicken is the breast part so it was dry. Beef was tender but seasoning a bit off. Sides are super flavorful. Garlic condiment is on point! Prices: 9/10: basically about $10. Good portions. Also connected to a mini grocery store. Not sure what is there besides canned goods and some hooka bottles. Those were things I saw while eating or passing by while I waited for my food.

Rizwan P.

Yelp
What you need to know: Solid Mediterranean/Arab food but the chicken is a bit bland - GET THE GARLIC SAUCE, decent prices, and a great stop for Mediterranean groceries. Heard a lot about this place and wanted to try a new shawarma place close to home, so decided to give it a shot. Food: I had the chicken shawarma plate, while my mom had the beef shawarma wrap, and my dad had the falafel plate. The plates come with your choice of two sides - I got the Greek salad and baba ghanouj (blended roasted eggplant), the chicken shawarma also comes on a bed of rice. I will say that while the chicken was a bit dry and slightly on the bland side, it was still pretty damn good with the garlic sauce. The Greek salad was fine if a bit too much cheese for my taste. The baba ghanouj however was excellent and something I'd come back for on its own! The falafel was soft and fluffy yet tasty, while the beef shawarma was one of the best my mom said she'd ever had, so I'll have to try that one next time. Price: Ended up at around $30 for three people - pretty standard stuff. Service: Standard counter-service, nothing bad about it, and the woman at the register was actually friendly and helpful with my decisions. All in all, this is a solid place, might not be the absolute best, but definitely above average. I'll definitely be back.

Georgia B.

Yelp
This is a common 2 in 1: Mediterranean grocery and Lebanese restaurant. The menu is pretty typical and they offer named Greek salad but it's far from authentic. It is however a decent Lebanese food at a reasonable price. What I wanted was not on the menu but the staff was super nice to accommodate. I got a combo plate of beef, chicken, Greek salad and baba ganouji. The meats were flavorful and their garlic mayo wass very, very good. Also our meals came with Tahini? Sauce that was a little bland. Their baba ganouj was not the best. My friend got lamb, chicken, humus and salad. She really liked their lamb and loved the smooth humus. Yes she loved their garlic sauce too. Also came with were thin pitas that were quite good too. There were about 10 tables. Their grocery section took about 1/2 the store space and had a lot of imported treats at very reasonable prices. There was ample parking in the shopping center. It was a little tricky to get there from 285 so follow your GPS. Bottom line, this is pretty yummy Lebanese food and is one of my top 3 in Atlanta.

Mary M.

Yelp
Hm, maybe I've been spoiled by Aladdin's (RIP). Ordered the Kofta and lamb entrees. The lamb tasted a bit dry and didn't come with the onions and green peppers as on the online menu. Kofta was juicy though also without onion which would have been nice. The rice tasted like boil-a-bag style; was ok. Bread was a bit hard. The sides were pretty good and it was nice to eat mediterranean on this side of town finally. I'm a bit torn how much I like it or not.

Jonathan W.

Yelp
The lamp was cooked great, not burned but crispy and tender! The flat bread was nice, no butter and not greasy at all!! Super friendly inside, was giving a free drink for my first time here. Definitely a place to visit. A whole balanced meal with carbs, veggies, and protein. And it's easy on my pocket. It's also a market on the inside. Which is pretty cool.

Le Q.

Yelp
This is a gem for Syrian / Lebanese wraps in the perimeter that serves platters, homemade pre packed dips, and home baked goodies and home baked breads that are savory and sweet. There is a huge stone oven pizza looking furnace thing in the shop where they make their bread and that method gives the breads a delicious taste. There is a tiny open bar of olives and makdous (baby eggplant stuffed with walnuts and spices cured in olive oil famous in Syrian foods). It is better than jarred options. It is also a standard grocery store with typical specialty items from Palestine (olives and olive oils for ex), Syria (commercial and home baked on-site pita bread for ex), Lebanon (various), and further east (teas like sage from the region and surrounding). The prices and offerings are comparable to Souq and Jerusalem Bakery that are outside the perimeter so it's reasonable. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Spacious seating. This place isn't my favorite because I prefer my falafel ball with more herbs but I will gladly go here because it's so convenient and reliable. My eggplant dip, baba ghanouj, was good, too.

Bendy B.

Yelp
This place rules. It's authentic and fresh. I'm a big fan of the baba ganoush, tabbouleh & meat pies. The meat pies have some kind of sweet kick- cinnamon maybe? Tastes great with lemon juice. Friendly staff too. Not sure why yelp has this place listed as closing at 4pm. I often get takeout here for dinner

Hesham D.

Yelp
Food at this place used to be good and tasty. Not anymore unfortunately. The sandwiches are swimming in the garlic sauce very little meat and no taste. Same thing with the falafel tasteless. My wife ended up throwing up the minute we got home. Food is not a business, it's artistic and must come from the heart and unfortunately this was a very disappointing experience.

Monique L.

Yelp
The two stars are really only for the food which I actually really like. When it comes to service, zero stars would be too much. They are unfriendly, don't listen to requests (had that multiple times), slow and there is no way you can order something even if you arrive 20 min before their official closing time. They simply ask you to leave. I do not think I will come back any time soon. That food is really not good enough for the bad service.

Steven T.

Yelp
The service at this place is very bad. The woman at the counter (who told me she is the owner) is rude. While you are ordering at the counter, she will make you hold mid way through your order to take phone calls and phone orders. Her husband is better with service, but not much so. The food is not bad.

Yelp
It's been a while since my initial post so I decided to both blog about this place with a longer Yelp review AND provide some details. Mediterranean Bakery and Sandwich is a small Lebanese grocery store that can be found in the tired Embry Hills shopping center. If you've been around as long as me you'll remember when there was a Kroger at this location - much of the architecture for the Kroger-as-anchor-store is still there and recognizable, only the main building is now a Big Lots. I'm a bit hesitant to review this place because I don't want it to become so busy it's impossible to visit. I've been piling on the praise of this small grocery store for many years - this whole shopping complex has an unusual number of very good ethnic restaurants and it all started with Mediterranean Bakery. Since I live about a mile from this place I've had plenty of opportunity to sample them all. This review is all about the lunch counter. Here you'll find Lebanese style Mediterranean food like swarma, felafel and the like. You line up and order at the counter - they take credit cards - and you're food is prepared like magic within a few minutes. There's a limited number of tables inside but there's also tables under the covered awning for overflow. My favorites on the menu: Chicken Shawarma - this is the real deal here folks. The pieces come on a bed of rice with a few Lebanese pickles (these can be a bit harsh but lately they've been supplying some that are more palatable to Americans). I like to get this as a platter with two sides - the baba ghanouj and the Greek salad. What makes the chicken shawarma special is the garlic spread - it's simply delicious. Beef Shawarma - many of my friends like this better than the chicken - it's really dripping-down-your-arm juicy as a wrap, but then again you don't get the garlic spread... Shish Kabob -juicy bits of beef - what more can you ask for? Chicken Kabob - another favorite of most of my friends (sorry but I get stuck on the chicken shawarma) - Lamb Kabob - the lamb here is delicious as is to be expected. Felafel - very good felafels here with good flavor. I've found better but these always work for me and you can get a couple as one of your sides. Baba Ghanouj - delightfully smoky and smooth - perhaps the best version of eggplant I've ever experienced. The Hummos here is silky smooth and flavorful, the Fatoush and Greek salads fresh and the tabouli very freshly made - you can't go wrong with any of these. In any case, give this place a try - you'll be glad you did. (longer review available in my food blog)

Yelp
I came once years ago but wasn't a Yelper then. Today I was craving Mediterranean for lunch so I came around 12. It was already busy for lunch hour. I ordered lamb kabob plate for $10.99. When you order plate you can pick any two sides with it. I got Greek salad and baba ghanouj (baked eggplant). The food came in ten minutes. The lamb was juicy and cooked perfectly. Baba ghanouj was so delicious. It is eggplants, garlic, tatini (spelling?), and lemon juice. The salad, rice and nan bread were good as well. Use the nan bread to eat the baba ghanouj and lamb. It was a filling lunch. I left with a happy stomach! By the way the meat is halal. I verified with the cashier.

Yelp
For the past 4 years, this has been our go-to place for shawarmas! My husband and I LOVE the chicken shawarma sandwich! My husband grew up in the middle east and says that this place serves the most authentic shawarmas in Atlanta. We've tried the other places (Ameer's, Aladdin's, etc) and none have a chicken shawarma sandwich as great as Med bakery.. The chicken is always flavorful and tender. We love the garlic paste they put inside the sandwich and always ask for extra on the side (for dipping!). Beware, it is potent. Be prepared to have the garlic aftertaste/smell in your mouth for 12+ hours (but it is so worth it!) if you end up asking for extra garlic paste.. but at least you will ward off vampires..?? Our other favorites at Med bakery include the zaatar (we get the one that is 1/2 cheese) and the falafel sandwich. The side greek salad is also a must! We usually call our order in when we are on our way so that it is ready to take home by the time we get there. Love this place! Will definitely be back! P.S. the grocery store has amazing pita bread for cheap

Yelp
I know that we're taught in Kindergarten to share and to be kind to others. Well, sometimes sharing means not caring for yourself. Don't tell my mom I said that. I was feeling under the weather and they say 'be good to yourself first and then you can help others'. That's why I headed out solo in search of something comforting and succulent. Once I met baba ghanoush, I knew I made the right decision. The grilled eggplant mixed with lemon juice, garlic and tahini was rich, creamy, and smoky. Scoop up the aubergine goodness with warm pita bread or crunchy vegetables. I pulled up to MB&S an hour before closing on a Saturday evening and had the place to myself. A nice guy behind the counter made it easy on me. No need to choose, he would prepare a mix of chicken and beef for the schwarma platter. Add tabbouleh on the side and two sauces including a slap ya vampire garlic spread. My takeout container was filled to capacity. Tender and flavorful beef over rice, next to fresh tomato slices and crisp sweet pickles. The chicken was moist but under seasoned, easily remedied by drizzling tahini sauce over top. The tabbouleh salad added a layer of flavor and contrast in temperature to the overall meal. I'm neutral to parsley, but in this dish, the herb is the star and shines when tossed with mint, onion, olive oil, and fresh lemon juice. Lovely Lebanese fare. Happy to find you, even if it took me 12 years.

Yelp
The food here is authentic and tastes delicious. All of the baked flat breads are ridiculously good, Tabbouleh and the typical Mediterranean dishes are excellent. Most of the grilled food is pretty good, although the meats can sometimes be dry, but that's how I like them. They have lots of nice grocery items and the olive bar has a good selection.

Yelp
I've been visiting "Med Bakery" for years now since my college days. I had an insane craving for Mediterranean food during a visit back to ATL and decided to take my mom out for lunch. She's never really had this kind of food before, so for her it was a new, but pleasant experience. This is a very casual place that is half grocery store, so it's more of a quick in and out place versus a nice sit down restaurant. The staff here are always super friendly and full of smiles. I often get the beef shawarma plate or wrap here - all under 10 bucks and plenty of food. I didn't realize you can pick the temperature for your meat - clearly I'm a noob. Some of the beef shawarma is dry, whereas others are juicy. I'll have to try ordering a more medium-rare temperature next time and see if it makes a difference. The sides here are amazing - the hummus is super fresh, the tabbouleh is probably some of the best I've ever had, the babaghanoush is super smoky and flavorful, and the Greek salad is standard, but still delicious. If you get a plate, ask for the garlic whip (and tahini) on the side - the garlic whip is a MUST. If you're getting a wrap, make sure you get it in your sandwich. I tried the falafel just to try it.... definitely pass on this. It's more bready than it is chickpeas - perhaps I've been spoiled by delicious, proper falafel in NYC. Overall, a solid place for Mediterranean food with easy access to I-85 and I-285... probably my go-to for this kind of cuisine without having to drive very far.

Yelp
Came to Atlanta to visit family. My Brother brought me here after eating at a bunch of other Arabic places (none of them bad). From the first BITE, the authentic flavor profile burst into my mouth. The food was amazing. True authentic spices and flavors from back home in the Middle East. I don't want to eat anywhere else in Georgia. Will be back frequently! And the staff are super friendly as well! Eat here and thank me later!
