Chef Valère Diochet's cuisine is unabashedly Mediterranean. A host of aromatic plants – basil, purslane, lovage – enhance this aesthetic cuisine, which is refined, precise and light: marinated monkfish, courgette with lovage; red mullet cooked on one side. The restaurant's plush Art Deco interior overlooks the vineyards and the waters of the Étang de Bages. By choosing the 7 course menu we gave it all in the hands of the chef for us to be surprised. And what a surprise it was! From beginning till end all dishes were very tasty and demonstrated the skills and creativity of the chef. The staff was very friendly and perfectly bilingual. It was truly a night to remember.

Exceptional food and service. The restaurant is not big and serves only around 10 tables per night, which creates quite an intimate atmosphere. Of course, we ordered local wine which incredibly complimented our meals. Also, it was not a problem to adjust their course menu for us, who don’t eat meat. Additionally, all ingredients are from local producers! Definitely recommend.

We’ve eaten in high quality restaurants before but for our 10 year wedding anniversary we chose this exceptional restaurant and we were very impressed ! The 5 courses paired with wine served by staff who were not only passionate and knowledgeable but also very friendly. The dishes were super original and very tasty! The atmosphere was also lovely. Our experience at Mediterraneo is up there with being one of the top 2 meals of our lives. From the moment we walked into the restaurant the ambiance and feel of the venue screamed elegance and refinement. I particularly adored the lighting, the wall lights are just stunning as is the chandelier. The staff were both friendly and wonderful at explaining the dishes and the sommelier is extremely knowledgeable. We choose the 7 course tasting menu with paired wines and we look forward to returning again in the future and wish continued success.

Had the good fortune to have lunch at the wonderful Mediterraneo at Chateau Capitoul last week. The food was simply sensational and eclipsed every dining experience we had had in Paris the previous week. Hard to believe it’s only been open a year and no doubt will gain a Michelin star(or two) in the coming years. An incredible blend of flavours by chef Valerie coupled with tastefully chosen wines selected by sommelier Jean-Francois and wonderful service in a beautifully elegant room overlooking the Mediterranean. I highly recommend you make a reservation for this special culinary experience.

Nous avons passé une soirée extraordinaire au restaurant Méditerranéo. Le cadre est magnifique, comme la salle. L'accueil est très sympa, le service aussi, tout en étant efficace, rapide et précis. Le menu en 5 plats était un moment de dégustation exceptionnel. Tout était excellent. Un très grand merci.
