We popped in here to grab a bite to eat and cool off from the summer heat and had a great time. We were greeted and served by very friendly staff, and when we mentioned that we wanted to share the salad they even went through the effort to actually portion it out onto two plates when they brought it to the table. The pizza and salad were both delicious and I highly recommend it to anyone walking Greenwich Ave and in need of a bite to eat.

Loved every part of the meal here! The dining room has a classy feel and the restaurant was very accommodating. Came with family and was impressed with the flavors. FOOD I thought each dish we had was excellent. My favorite though was the simple veal meatball pasta in red sauce. The fresh tomato sauce was exquisite - very flavorful. The veal meatballs were excellent. I really enjoyed the pizza as well - mushrooms with light, whipped gorgonzola with lemon zest that cut through the cheese. SERVICE Excellent. Very helpful in navigating the menu and helped us choose the dishes we would like. ATMOSPHERE Restaurant definitely has a classic, more grown-up feel to it. I'd recommend dressing up. Love that you can see into the open kitchen

All in all, excellent experience all around. The wait staff was very friendly. The food is excellent, and the ambiance is very nice. All my foods were so delicious, Finally got to try it and am so happy. Love this place! I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting

Food is so amazing. Such a romantic place in Connecticut. Me and husband came here 1 day after we married. The server also very nice and helped us to get our table

Fabulous! Service, hospitality, and genuine care and kindness outstanding! This was our first visit , homemade humus with fresh choices of bread was a great start. It's amazing how such a little kitchen knocks out glorious food. We had the squid app and loved this version with potatoes. Amongst dinner was lobster roll, pizza, pasta with shrimp & broccoli.

It’s was good but not spectacular. Our appetizers were Yellow fin tuna crudo and Goat Cheese Blintz, were pretty good. We shared our main plate, a Risotto Ossobuco and was fine. The atmosphere is very loud, is hard to have a conversation and took a long time for us to be served.

What an excellent experience. Everything was perfect for a birthday celebration. The food was yummy truly the tastes were amazing. The cosmos were over the top and love the glassware. Bravo to a wonderful experience. We will be back. Thank you so much. Such kind and personable staff.

This restaurant really has become a part of Greenwich culture and it’s amazing that the consistency of the service and the value have been this good for so long…. I love that it’s family friendly. The kids can have a pizza but the menu items are just such a treat to come back to every time.

I've been here a few times now and each time the experience has been solid. I usually make a reservation on Resy to ensure that I'm seated promptly. I usually sit inside but once sat outside and it was nice but the service was a little slower. I had the virgin vanilla pineapple daiquiri and it was the perfect level of sweet. And bonus because it was a virgin. For an appetizer I had the lamb hummus which came with pita. The lamb was the perfect level of tenderness and the hummus was yummy. For dinner I had the lamb kebab and the kofte, with rice and tzatziki. The kebab was cooked a little over medium and the kofte was solid. I was so full I skipped dessert. Service was good and attentive. The biggest downfall is the lack of parking on Greenwich ave.

We stopped at Greenwich for a short visit and thoroughly enjoyed Mediterraneo. The pasta was fresh and silky and with such depth of flavors of fresh mozzarella, eggplant and fresh tomatoes. The burger was one of the best my kids had and the French fries were fresh and perfectly seasoned.

This is a class act. Had a fabulous chicken wrap and a glass of Chardonnay. The service is five star,the food is fresh and the city is elegant and very well maintained and clean! The locals know this is a fabulous place. It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for.! I would return again

Our favorite in Connecticut. Place is amazing, top notch service and decor as well. We love Nick the Maitre D, who is always so welcoming and kind. The must dish is the Amish Chicken, it is cooked to perfection in a wood-fired oven. Pair it with a glass of their Antinori Supertuscan

I always love visiting Greenwich, CT during the early Spring. Walking Greenwich Avenue and window shopping is a common activity when visiting. But what we enjoy the most is dining at one of the popular restaurants on the Avenue that is new to us. We chose Mediterraneo because of the positive reviews we had read and the corner location that provides indoor and outdoor dining. The restaurant's recent renovation provided an upscale ambience with a Mediterranean flair. Inside the restaurant, one would find an elegant oak bar set aside with a comfortable cozy appealing dining room that expresses a contemporary Mediterranean premise. The restaurant has a lively atmosphere with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. Our server made entrée recommendations that we thankfully chose. The Halibut was excellent along with the grilled Cauliflower appetizer. But the lemon meringue pie desert was superb. Overall, our dining experience was exceptional.

Amazing Mediterranean food! Top-notch food, service, attention to detail. I had the salmon bowl and the salmon was mind-blowing! Ambiance is good. Not a large restaurant; intimate and everything was delicious. Hummus so good I took a container of it home! You can't go wrong here and how anyone could rate this below five-stars is incomprehensible to me!

The food was decent . Our waiter was very nice. However we were sitting outside and there was a table inside that allowed their young children to climb in and out of the window onto the sidewalk. The children (ages about 4-6) were yelling, hitting eachother and climbing in and out of the window. (I have children so I understand children can't always sit still) When we told one of the wait staff that we were concerned about the safety of these children literally jumping in and out of the window we were told "well they're children and they are very good customers sooo.....". So we had to eat our lunch with children yelling and fighting 2 feet away from us. Quite disappointed at the reaction of the employee .

The food here was quite amazing, I had their lamb appetizer and lamb main course, both were superb. Great service, nice atmosphere, yum wine and great food ! I will definitely visit again to try their brunch menu.

Wait was very long other than that it was a great experience. 3/5 stars would reccomend to patient people.

This is a cute restaurant in Greenwich, and the service was great, but the food is really lacking. Butternut squash soup - bland and in need of seasonings. Branzino - good but nothing special, especially for $30+ Halibut - my husband said this was amazing Burger - overcooked and dry...but the accompanying fries were delicious Prices here are very high which is fine, but the food certainly didn't warrant the prices. I doubt we'll return.

Went for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The food is great and the waiter... Jacob.. was excellent. I can't wait to return.

Had dinner here a few weeks ago with friends, had an enjoyable time but at times it felt like the wait staff forgot about us, since we were sitting on the other side of the buidling, rather than inside or in front of the restaurant. The drinks were decent, but changed up each time since they weren't something to keep drinking. I had the Parmesan Crusted Halibut, which was very cripsy and flavorful.

Delicious! Tried the goat cheese blintzes with beets, lamb with hummus, and pea soup--soooooo delicious and truly gorgeous presentations. Very talented chefs! Great location and appreciated the outdoor seating.

One of our favorite restaurants when in Greenwich. We sit at the bar and the food and service are outstanding.

Everyone agreed the food was outstanding. I had the mixed seafood, and regretfully watching my carbs these days, limited myself to a small piece of a "crouton de pain" to sop up the delicious delicately fennel flavored sauce. Service was outstanding. So why a star off? The place was packed to the gills, navigating between chairs was a challenge. Trying to sit down I bumped into the chair behind mine earning me an irritated look. Recommendation: avoid peak hours!

Hit and miss. We stopped in on a weekend evening at 8 pm without a reservation. We were told they should have a table in 20 minutes, which was spot on. Meanwhile we had a couple of cocktails at the bar that were sub par - mostly mixer and little real liquor. My wife suspected they were substituting cheap gin/vodka and purple food coloring syrup rather than the real Empress Gin. I tasted the drink, it wasn't good. The table service was good, in fact everyone was friendly. The sea scallop dish was fantastic. I would go back just for it. The steak was ok. Perhaps if they let it rest before slicing it the meat would have turned out better.

In recent years there has been a 360 from my initial experience. Excellent on all fronts. It can be quite crowded but the food and service are wonderful, thus it is quite crowded. Lovely interior and exterior seating. Highly recommended.

Always a solid meal and great service!! One of my favorite spots on the Ave to grab a tasty lunch and people watch if nice enough to eat outside!!

This restaurant worked hard to optimize the maximum number of diners on a Friday night. We were at a round table that would have been better for 4, but we were 6. Luckily, we liked each other. Service was friendly and attentive. My old fashioned was delicious. The butternut squash soup had this pepita granola on top. It was a weird texture contrast. Would not order that again. However, the parmesan crusted halibut was absolutely perfect. It was topped with spinach and beurre blanc. I would definitely order this again. Others stated that they enjoyed their salmon, oysters, and venison. Overall, this was a nice place for dinner.

The food was incredible ! We ordered many different plates to share for a party of 2. Everything the waiter recommended was delicious. We sat outside in the side patio and enjoyed our stay for almost 4.5 hrs! Really great service - the waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are high but definitely worth it. Can't wait to come back.

Nice atmosphere and very good service. We found the butternut squash soup lacked flavor and the burger turned out very dry and not much flavor (we asked for medium on the burger). The halibut was phenomenal.

could not recommend this place enough! such delicious and high quality food! 100/10. the chefs truly do an amazing job preparing the food in a unique way. the ingredients are amazing and i love the palate of every meal. probably one of my top 3 restaurants in CT!

A dear friend of mine and I enjoyed dinner at Mediterraneo on Thursdday night. Soothing Mediterranean ambience, delicious, well prepared food and fantastic service! I had the mixed baby greens for appetizor and the grilled organic salmon for the entree. I was so impressed when the maitre d noticing that I wore a sleeveless shirt while the front door was open, commented "Let me know if you are too cold, I'll shut the door". I was really touched by that. Impressed by the healthy and delicious selection of food. Very well run restaurant! Bravo!

My lunch here was perfect!! It was a Friday afternoon and I made a reservation online, it was so easy to do. We were seated immediately and asked indoor/outdoor seating. We opted for indoor. Tables were socially distant with dividers up in between tables as well. Our server was beyond friendly and attentive. Food was brought to the table quickly, and server allowed us to take our time and did not rush us one bit. I had the potato gnocchi in a truffle cream sauce topped with egg and pancetta. The portion was perfect. This dish was phenomenal! We also ordered a pizza and salad, which also both were great. The pizza was a bar pie, which was cooked well. The pie was crispy on the bottom yet not burnt on top. Overall, this place truly is a deserves more than 5 stars! I enjoyed my lunch here and look forward to returning.

Oat covid19, our friend lives in the area and told us we could. eat outsides. Saturday June 6, about 3:30pm we are in Greenwich. We were so excited to be outside a a restaurant. Branzino was delicious American Wagu burger were delicious Dirty Martinis with green olives were perfecto Lemon Dropa were refreshing. Espresso Martini was better than dessert

Great food and good service. Mediterraneo serves great entree options and they also have pizza options as well. Their menu changes a bit seasonally though some staples remain on their menu such as the Wood Oven Amish Chicken (my dinner go-to at times) and their goat cheese blintz.

just ordered two burgers and two milaneses. burgers cooking temperture suposse to be well done...looks median, and thats me being nice about it...on top of it i asked for a coke and they gave me in a soup cup...no utensils or napkins in the bag.... quality definitely not there for a greenwich restaurant .

Wonderful service! I loved our waiter! And the gnocchi was amazing as was the wine! Sitting outside was so lovely!

Went for dinner tonight with one of my friends, and the food didn't disappoint! We got the pizza, Gemelli pasta with Italian sausage, and the wagyu beef burger. Everything was delicious and the service was amazing! Our waiter, Sebastian was so friendly and helpful. Only reason it didn't get 5 stars is cause of the price, but everything else is amazing. We will definitely be back!

I forgot just how delicious the food is here. Haven't dined at Mediterraneo in eons. The burger was cooked to perfection. The burrata appetizer was creamy and delectable. The cappuccino - outstanding! The dessert was the only item that was underwhelming. We had to send the key lime pie back - cloyingly sweet and I love sugar. But the service was excellent. Oh, their mojito was beyond...I'd go back again just for that drink. Can't wait!!! They've become even better than Terra.

TWO well deserved stars! No more. Trust me. I'm VERY generous with my stars and after this dining experience; they are lucky that they received a rating of two instead of one. It's two because the food is edible. But everything else is sub par for the price range. It is an overpriced California Pizza Kitchen. AT BEST! I arrived at 5:00 and pretty much had the place to myself; so there was no excuse for the very poor service. I have to start by mentioning that the temperature inside the restaurant was balmy and NOT in the pleasant way. Perspiration was slowly tricking down my spine and THROUGH my light, flowing sundress by the time I left (1ish hour later) I should also say that I came about dining here through a recommendation by my jeweler. I always take his recommendations when I'm in town. (I plan to call him tomorrow and advise him not to send his clients to this place anymore) Gazpacho was my choice of starter. It is the PERFECT COVID appetizer. Nobody should stand within 6 ft of you, much less engage in conversation after you've dined on their Gazpacho. The garlic could seriously kill a cow. From there it just got worse. My second course, pizza, came out on top of my appetizer and then I was ignored until they brought me the check. FYI... I was actually celebrating a huge purchase that I had just made. HUGE! We are talking six figures for a piece of jewelry that I had just driven from Maryland to Greenwich to buy. So despite the lousy service and mediocre food; I WOULD HAVE ORDERED DESSERT, had it been offered. Instead I just paid my check when they dropped it off and left. Very disappointing.

Good food and a beautiful atmosphere, especially when the weather is nice. Small patio off the side of the restaurant and plenty of outdoor seating during Covid. The food is on par with most of the other restaurants on the Avenue, but you will pay for it. The menu is extensive but tailored; they have something for just about everyone. We ordered the pizza, tuna, wagyu burger, Bronzino, sea bass special, and lava cake. Everything was recommendable and worth getting again. It could be five stars, but the service was slower than you would expect for a place like this. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, considering they doubled their capacity since Covid and are likely squeezing to close those 2020 margins. Altogether, I will return.

Tuna Turo for appetizer was pretty good. The bruschetta pizza, sausage pizza and cheese pizzas are thin crusted and very nice. Lamb kabob and grilled swordfish are excellent too.

Great family dinner here last weekend. Attractive restaurant with windows overlooking Greenwich Ave. Ambience is low key chic but unpretentious, service is pleasant and professional. When asked how I wanted my salmon prepared I asked for "slightly translucent in the middle" but didn't get my hopes up, then was pleasantly surprised to receive it cooked perfectly to my specification. Pro tip: parking here is a big pain so allow time to find a space before your reservation.

Great Italian Restaurant on Greenwich Avenue. First class menu, superb food preparation and excellent service by the wait staff make this a very popular restaurant in Greenwich. I eat here regularly and highly recommend this restaurant. There is street parking In front of the restaurant and off street parking very close by.

Came here for drinks while I was shopping in the area and was seated right away. The whole street is shut down so the restaurants can expand their dining outdoors. Got the eggplant dip which I didn't get a picture of, and the octopus salad which was very light and refreshing on a super hot day like today. After a few drinks and a large sparkling water later, we were left with a $114 dollar bill, but I guess that's no surprise when your in a very boogie area like Greenwich. I would give it more stars because it was a lovely lunch and the service was great, but def not worth the high prices.

Best restaurant in Greenwich. Both the quality of the food and the attentiveness of the staff made for a wonderful meal with friends. Tuna tartare had amazing flavor and plating. The Parmesan crust on the halibut was inventive and delicious. Octopus app was wonderful. Salmon was cooked and seasoned perfectly and the squid ink pasta with shrimp was great as well. Everything came out of the kitchen hot and and timed perfectly between courses. Staff was attentive without being overwhelming. Great meal overall.

Food was good ordered eggplant dip, sausage pepper pizza, Caesar salad. Problem was- everything was charred black. This is a problem for our health - food should not be charred! Mediterraneo is marketed as a health focused restaurant, please stop charring our food.

every restaurant has an off night. this is one of our favorites, BUT service non-existent, food not fresh, then treated rudely. will give it another try when they are not overwhelmed. Greenwich over-run that night.

Had the best experience dining at Mediterraneo. The food, service & ambiance were all exceptional. Our server Frank was very attentive, but didn't rush us when we were the last people in the restaurant by 45 minutes. He even allowed us to stay an additional 15 minutes after all the staff had left because our Uber was delayed and it was freezing out. All in all, it was the perfect dinner. Would love to come back next time I'm in Greenwich.

We got take out to bring to our hotel. We enjoyed the lamb, the grilled chicken, a margarita pizza. Ended with a Key Lime pie that was excellent! Looking forward to our next visit!

Wonderful people for helping my elderly father with outdoor seating and getting to the table. Parking is tough and they came to the car as I dropped off. Special kind people work and run the place. And the food was fabulous. A great night!
