Medusa Brewing is an awesome spot with a fantastic selection of beer and a chill vibe. They offer a wide variety of brews, and it’s a bonus that you can grab cans to go. One of the best parts is you can order food from Taco Gato next door right from your seat—highly recommend the nachos! The atmosphere is relaxed and perfect for hanging out with friends or enjoying a casual night out. Parking can be a bit tricky during peak hours, but it’s definitely worth the effort.

Google
I’ve been a loyal customer at Medusa for years. The beer is excellent, the atmosphere used to be welcoming, and it was a place I truly loved. But over the past couple of years, the experience has been overshadowed by consistently poor service — especially from one particular waitress who has made visiting uncomfortable and frustrating. She never smiles — not once — and acts like every customer is a problem. She avoids eye contact, doesn’t check in, and often leaves you sitting at your table for long periods with no acknowledgment. If you don’t respond to her question immediately, she cuts you off mid-thought, says “I’ll be back,” and walks away abruptly before you even get a word in. When she finally returns, she drops your drink and rushes off again without saying anything, sometimes nearly spilling it in the process. During large events when the bar is packed, her behavior gets even worse. Instead of navigating the crowd with patience and professionalism, she yells at the top of her lungs for people to “move,” creating an unnecessarily aggressive and chaotic energy. It’s jarring and completely out of place for what should be a fun, community-oriented space. It’s clear from other reviews that I’m not the only one experiencing this — the behavior is a pattern, not a one-off. This waitress consistently treats people like an inconvenience and acts as if she’d prefer the brewery be empty. Medusa still has great beer, but the atmosphere has taken a serious hit. Loyal customers who have supported this place for years deserve better. I genuinely hope management steps in and addresses the issue, because the service — especially from this one employee — is chasing people away from a place they used to love.

Google
Super chill joint, with very pleasant staff and quality beer. I was able to get a liter pour here - a big plus, and the beer was fantastic. We recommend highly. Awesome hot pretzel also - tastes like Munich.

Google
Quaint and unique vibe that works well for this brewery. Emily was a great libation tour host. Beers were above average. Pork Belly tostada's were great!

Theodore K.

Google
Will have to try this again another time. Felt pretty ignored by the bartender and my milk stout fell kinda flat. The Taco Gato partnership worked great and our pretzel was delicious. Bartender who came in as we were leaving was much better but a bit too late. Another time I guess.

Google
If you enjoy overpriced, flavorless beer served with a side of contempt, this place is your paradise. The “craft” brews were all equally uninspired — $10+ for something that tastes like carbonated mop water is bold, to say the least. Our waitress acted like we were ruining her day by existing. She ignored us for half an hour, then finally approached with the warmth of a DMV clerk on overtime. We were made to feel like second-class citizens in a bar that barely deserves first-class attention. The atmosphere? Imagine a gas station bathroom with a Bluetooth speaker blaring terrible music at full volume. It was loud, chaotic, and utterly charmless. We left wondering if we’d stumbled into a social experiment on how far a place can fall short and still stay open. You’d have a better night drinking warm Bud Light in a parking lot.

Google
Yes to everything here. All staff are professional, efficient, kind, respectful and so much fun! They hold very good events and fund raisers for progressive causes. They host fun theme nights and always come up with ways to include the community! They shake up their menu with different options. Everything I've had so far is delicious. Awesome tacos! For drinks I usually get The Duchovny with a shot of raspberry, or their Fizzy Cat hard seltzers. Plenty of selection for all different tastes. Supposedly they're doing a Magnum PI theme night some time in November 2023...👨🏽 Check them out if you haven't already!

Google
I can honestly say Medusa Brewing Company is one of my happy places. Out of the many times we've visited, we have never had a negative experience. The selection of drinks is always new and exciting, the food by Taco Gato is phenomenal, and the staff are so welcoming. I'm always excited to explore their menu and fill up with delicious food and drinks.

Yelp
For starters, I love the design on the cans for Laser Kitty and Soft Robot, especially! Rapid refresh was the drink that I wanted to try, but my friend let me sample his. It was not refreshing and the first drink so far in my stamp collecting that the taste went down, instead of up. Instead, I went for a Mystique (I think this one had flavors and I went with blood orange, it was a long day). Thought it was okay and sipped on that during my visit. Wanted food, which was from next door Taco Gato. The nachos was in a bowl and tasted good, just didn't like that the spicy salsa was at the bottom of the pile of chips. Alas, the last chip was drowning in it and no longer hard. I swore I ordered Chipotle BBQ wings, but we both agreed it was spicy and had a funky taste. Presumably, the server accidentally put in mango-habanero. The room was very loud when the live singer was playing.

Yelp
I liked Medusa brewing and Taco Gato. They have an indoor taproom and the outdoor beer garden. We decided to sit outside because the weather was beautiful. They have mulch as the flooring and sunshades to keep it cool. They have free water on one side of the eating area. You place all of your order at the bar and they give you a pager to alert you when your food is ready. (There is a small paper sign above the bar stating this, but you don't really notice the sign until you go up to order a beer. I think it would be a cute touch to have a nice cute sign pointing out where to place your order). You pick up your food at taco gato food truck. Some of the beers are canned and some are on tap. I got the Gins Berg and I found it refreshing and mildly floral with juniper highlights. It paired well with the kielbasa platter. The kielbasa was very good. It's served with 4 sizable triangles of good grain bread, a hefty scoop of ground mustard and some pickles and pickled onions. My friend ordered a taco and she said it was very good, but a bit on the pricy side. She had a non-alcoholic Pilsner. It was pretty good but not her favorite. My other friends had a burger and a pretzel. The pretzel was just ok. It could have been more fluffy. It was served with a delicious beer cheese sauce and a scoop of mustard. I would go back and try some of the other brews there and just see what they are like.

Yelp
I'm back! After a long hiatus of drunken debauchery and being rejected from the cult of Elite helpers, I'm back on the Yelp wagon. Medusa brewing is in a really nice area in the town of Hudson. I brought my girl here on a date. Live music and great beer are what stand out here. Ambience and vibes were very chill. Basically a bunch of millennials hanging out and drinking...... which is usually indicative of.... You guessed it..... tacos. The brisket tacos were fucking amazing. Come here all the time. You won't regret it.

Yelp
Soooo food is delicious. I went on a Friday around 2-3pm, it was empty so it was easy to talk to staff which were super nice and fun. However, ambience was something to be desired. Sticky floor, unclear of the sent as i walked in, ladies room seemed to have never been checked , like not even the night before . This spot is for frat boys that don't care. Beer garden is not even attached to the brewery part, not even visible from it, you have to walk to it. Weird -!: and when near it , it spells of urine and grass is dead and gross and theirs port a potties yay! I mean low key energy that time of day but looked like a night club when you turn the lights on. Other then it was aight!
google avatar

Alyssa B.

Yelp
The beer garden in back was fun. We ordered at the beer truck and ordered easily without any wait. They had live music and corn hole. Even our 2 year old was entertained. I loved the watermelon beer. It was crisp and refreshing- not sweet or very fruity tasting more like a watermelon essence. Great place to stop in before we headed to pizza next door. We will definitely come back.

Yelp
Medusa Brewing Company was on my radar for a year or two now and I was very eager to try it. From a bird's eye view I liked their concepts very much which is often the selling point for me trying out new breweries. Not only is Medusa just flat out cool but my love of Greek myths was what got my attention indeed. I finally got to try their beer recently and liked it fairly well. Steve and I had two different beers from here and they were fun as well as the names and concepts of the beer solidified my fondness more. Rapid Refresh was one beer that we had. This was a citrusy wheat beer with lemon zest and orang peel. A nice, light beer with low bitterness to enjoy as summer slowly turns to fall but with enough heat present that anything heavy would be uncomfortable. The other beer was the Duchovni Pilsner. Definitely referencing the actor and the X Files this Bohemian Pilsner we really liked a lot and was our favorite out of the two and apparently an award winning favorite with the brewery staff and the customers. Steve and I weren't any exception and that was enough to bump the brewery to five stars for me. With a clean, biscuity flavors along with clean and dry aspects present this wonderful Pilsner you can easily have more than one of and may give you the resistance to withstand any stony stares because you are drinking bliss.

Yelp
I recently visited Medusa with my wife and BIL, and it was a great experience all around. Highly recommend for either food or beer. Food: we ordered the kielbasa plate, 3 of the briskets tacos, and the empanadas. The tacos had a large portion with the a lot of brisket, the kielbasa and oat bread that came with it was fantastic, and the empanadas with the Chipotle aioli had a nice kick. Service: the staff was very friendly and attentive, and the brewery had an overall relaxing vibe. Beer: solid all around. Good mix of styles including seltzers, IPAs, sours and some European styles.

Yelp
The salad was the highlight of my experience there, but its too big for the bowl it's served in so do yourself a favor and ask for a plate on the side. I also ordered a cauliflower taco which was pretty good and well cooked - not too crunchy and not too soft. There was a good selection of beer to choose from and the staff was very attentive and kind. There was incredible animal art on the wall for sale, too!
google avatar

Nicole F.

Yelp
Spent a couple hours here for food and a few drinks. It wasn't crowded the Friday afternoon we went. The tacos were decent, I enjoyed the barbacoa taco more than the chicken. The chips that came with the guacamole were very thick and difficult to chew, wasn't very pleasant. The beers were good, good atmosphere and friendly staff. It wasn't until after we left we saw the outdoor beer garden around back!
google avatar

Yelp
Enjoyed my visit to Medusa Brewing. Service was prompt and the folks behind the bar were very helpful. Highly recommend ordering from Taco Gato next door. Trust me, you will want some awesome food to go along with your beer flight. The trivia nights are packed, so pick a different night if you want a quiet drink and dinner.
google avatar

Yelp
When it comes to Central MA breweries Medusa definitely has one of the best set-ups for the summer. In addition to the taphous they have a large outdoor beer garden with plenty of seating, a permanent food truck, and live music. Medusa makes a mean West Coast style IPA which is a nice mix up from all the NE hazies. If you're looking for a chill spot to throw back a few cold ones this is definitely your place.

Yelp
Nice little place on Main Street in Hudson. Not the biggest of bars, which led to a nice feel. Waitstaff was overwhelmed, but fought real hard to keep up and check on everyone. I started with the flights, and was pleasantly impressed by the flavors I received. I also had a Mango Burst, which I also really liked. We chose to get some of the appetizers from the attached restaurant, and flavor wise were happy. They were not the biggest of appetizers, but flavors there. We really liked the stuffed plantation. They also had a live musician, who had a great voice and was entertaining

Yelp
We enjoyed our visit to Medusa Brewing recently. Very nice inside and they had hard seltzer's (yay!). Industrial feel to the decor and very nice servers. They are located 'town', within walking distance to a lot of restaurants.

Yelp
Great beer, staff and venue. We have been going to Medusa every year of the 10 years. Also, pick up distributed beer when we find it. Food could get a slight uptick but their Wild Hare restaurant has superb food. Go and enjoy and wish them a happy anniversary!
google avatar

Dalia V.

Yelp
Here with family and listened to music by Mike Gorgone and now by Paul Courchaine. Both have great choices for music along with a few IPA's our choice tonight is Mangoverse, very nice flavor. Trying their chicarrón snack and it's very tasty and super crunchy excellent pair with an IPA/beer. Keep in mind the serving size is perfect for two people only. If you're in the area Stop in and give it a try.

Yelp
I always Yelp for breweries when traveling for business. West of Boston was no different and Medusa popped up. Stars matter, number of Reviews matter, and being open matters. Tuesday night, many places closed but Medusa checked all the boxes. Parking in the back, Main St Hudson was banged up with construction, most of the street parking blocked. Cool vibe upon entry, and greeted by the bartender, nice. Spacious, high ceiling, just enough light. Small crowd but not surprising for a Tuesday. Grabbed a bar chair and scanned for liquids. I started with the Lora and never left. A delicious America IPA w/sessionable ABV. Made use of the Wi-Fi to catch up work from the travel/meeting day. Some people are offended by a laptop on the bar (last week's Danbury CT trip) but no grief on this sit; I have to do what I have to do. Thank you! Decided to grub before closing. Three tacos (pork, beef, chix) came with chips and salsa. Belly bomb. Plenty of food, really good! I'll probably be back for night 2 in the Hudson area, so good!

Yelp
Best Brewery in Hudson, MA. Great food from Taco Gato. Authentic and tasty. Great pairing with the beers.

Yelp
We go to breweries. My husband likes the beer, I like the food and my daughter likes the games (which I didn't see here.) I am always reviewing logos since my husband always checks out the brewery gear. Cool logo hear but the one around the glass is even better! Love the local artist works on the wall but don't fall too in love with the paintings- they average around $900! We had a super nice server- rolled with our jokes. We ordered chips and salsa. The salsa had a lot of kick to it! Too much for me. The kids had pretzels that looked more like giant bagels! Super fluffy insides. They were delicious but I would suggest they invest in some cheese as opposed to a mustard. I had wo tacos; chicharron and carne asada. The chicharron was DELICIOUS!! I want more! I have been thinking about it since we left. The carne had too much meat so I started eating it before I could pick up the taco. The meat was extremely flavorful! But as a whole it jut wasn't as good as chicharron. My husband has been to this brewery before and enjoys their beer. (FYI: no kids menu and they told me on the phone they don't do cheese but there was a little on my chicharron)

Yelp
Cute brewery in the center of town. Great service, nice people, and live music on a Saturday afternoon! Have had their beer before in cans but glad we had the chance to stop into the taproom. They also have a great outdoor beer garden around the corner that's very dog friendly and provides plenty of shade.

Phoenix E.

Yelp
I went to their beer garden yesterday there was about 40 kids there yesterday. The kids were running all over, knocking into portapotties, trying to open the portpottirs doors on people. It also seemed like they were disturbing the performer. As someone above 18 with no kids, i felt too old for the environment of their beer garden.
google avatar

Ron C.

Yelp
Pretty cool spot. The service here is good and the beer isn't bad. I'm a huge DIPA fan and this place usually only has one on tap which is my only gripe. I'd like to check out the food next time I go.
google avatar

Joseph M.

Yelp
Great beer menu, service was good. Tap room is always pretty busy. Food is perfect to munch on but not big enough to call a meal so you can fit more beer into your belly! The food was very good. Atmosphere is friendly, a bit loud, live music. It's a pretty cool place to hang out on any type of day! If you're in Hudson and like beer. This place is must!

Grace S.

Yelp
I don't know. It depends on who you get as a bartender. It's a very hipster staff, but not necessarily a hipster clientele and the two can clash. Have been there about six times at different times and the staff is hit and miss. Food is hit and miss depending on the day as well. I guess you're supposed to look like Post Malone or you'll catch an attitude. I personally don't care if the person serving me has tattoos on their face, but if they have a problem with me because I don't then it's game over. It's a two way street. Especially if you're running a business.
google avatar

Maro G.

Yelp
Sat at the bar and ordered a couple of beers and some appetizers from the adjoining Mexican restaurant. Everything was delicious and the staff very friendly and efficient. Lots of space, very comfortable and convenient location.

Robert M.

Yelp
Left the Garden on 10/26. The music was incredibly loud punk-rockish screaming. As a young woman with kids walked by the lyrics were, F... you, F... you, I don't give a S... What an embarrassment to Hudson.
google avatar

Mike M.

Yelp
Pretty awesome brewery located in the downtown region. Never heard of it until a few months ago. But any brewery with a Greek mythology and theme is a must in my book. We ventured down last week shortly after opening. We rounded up a few seats at the bar and tried a few flights. I enjoyed their brews and the staff working work hard. The place got busy and filled up quickly. It's attached to a taco and good joint. Not a bad drive from home so I'll definitely be back. Definitely worth a visit.
google avatar

David C.

Yelp
Engaging staff and good beer. Started with a raspberry and worked through some IPAs! Live music was great as well!

Matthias J.

Yelp
Good beer, good Mexican food, and friendly service. They have an outside venue close by as well. Thoroughly enjoyed the Brisket Torta

E K.

Yelp
The food here is excellent. The menu has gastro-pub sounding choices but don't fret my pet. They are delicious. They are as good as they sound. I would definitely recommend the Brisket Elote Torta. It is a brewery so try a new beerOur group enjoyed 2 flights of all different beers. We unanimously enjoyed 7 of 8 different beers. If you've ever drank multiple flights with multiple tasters this is a pretty good result! Alternative music and a decor of art mixed with a pub bring it all together.
google avatar

Justin B.

Yelp
Ryan is the best bartender. Kyle was great too but he might not work here soon. Either way, these two hires show the rigor of the hiring process here. Two outstanding humans. Top notch. Beer is great. Such a good spot. 10/10

Yelp
Was a happy to be an early visitor of the new expansion location on Broad street. Tucked up on the 3rd floor of large brick building, I didnt expect the warm, inviting atmosphere that I met. They have created a very welcoming space with plenty of seating, well distanced, nice lighting, music, and a decent selection of brews. I was a bit disappointed they had no stouts or porters ready, which are my favorite, but I like to experiment too, so that was ok. I also got the nachos with pulled pork and they were very tasty. The pork could have used a bit more sauce or seasoning IMO, maybe a squirt of BBQ sauce would help. The staff was amazingly friendly and have gone over the top to make people feel safe. Frankly you are probably safer at Medusa than at home! Lol For beers I liked the Squiffy Vicar best. Low IBU very smooth with great carbonation and enough complexity to make it enjoyable. They also offer other drink options like wine, seltzer and even hot chocolate!
google avatar

Patrick H.

Yelp
Great vibe! Beer was very good and service was friendly and prompt! Burger was great!

Cheyanne G.

Yelp
Was super excited to finally try this place. The inside is really nice plus there was live music. However as starving as I was the waitress never came back to take our food order. We opened a tab to order drinks and half an hour passed and she avoided eye contact every time she passed our table. The food looked super good too so we were really disappointed. Not sure if we were missing something or what. Ended up just leaving and going elsewhere. **not saying I expect quick service on a Friday evening but even a quick "hey we're backed up but I'll get to you as soon as I can" would have been nice.

Machinegun K.

Yelp
Went here for the first time last week, and had a GREAT time. I have been to quite a few breweries and like to try a few different offerings to get a feel for their stuff. Usually I like 50-75% of the ones I try (style and type of course can factor in). I loved 100% of the brews I tried (a flight with 4 kinds to sample and then their biggest mug of the "Empyrial" ...ITS A BIG MUG) . Also the vibe and service were great. Warm and attentive even though it was a very busy night. The care they put into sanitizing the glassware alone let's you know you're in the right place. We were treated well by every staff-person we encountered. The food comes from the taco stand linked to the bar, and was very good too! I would come here to drink again and again and I guess my only gripe was that they closed so early! I wanted more! Definitely check this place out , Hudson is such a nice town and this place has its best beer!
google avatar

Nick C.

Yelp
This is the spot we go to when we want a beer after work, or just want to meet up with some friends for a beer. They always have a great selection of beers for very reasonable prices - whether it's their more popular beers which they tend to keep on tap year round, or special selections that they rotate in on a weekly basis. You can also bring in your own food at no additional charge, so you can grab something from one of the many restaurants nearby while enjoying your beer. Lately it seems like they have been bringing in food trucks which serve different fares. I think I tried a BBQ one a while back, and a couple weeks ago they might have had a burger one. The atmosphere is lively and friendly, and they have some board games and darts in a side room that you can try your hand at. The place gets pretty busy even during standard week nights, so don't always expect to get a table. Parking in downtown Hudson can also be a bit tricky, but if you go one street off the main street there are additional parking lots and it's much easier to find a spot.
google avatar

Justin T.

Yelp
The flight of 4 IPA's all tasted the same to my wife and I. It is as if they were over-hopped and that brought the humulinones to a high level that eventually numbed our taste buds. Continued drinking of this killed off the Malt and any other characteristics we enjoy in the initial flavors of IPA. I also get angry when neither the what pours are offered and when prices are not posted. Our flight totaling 20 oz cost $16. I am clueless what a pint costs there, but if a pint is $12, then they are expensive. Maybe we'll stop by in the future, but I doubt it as we prefer other craft brewers in the area.
google avatar

Rachael G.

Yelp
Kind of confusing when you walk in, they need a sign but you seat yourself and they have wait staff for the tables. It was already hopping on a Saturday at 530. Had good service at the bar but not super friendly, they were more interested in cleaning. I did like my helles style beer and the cream beer was good too. Great prices. Definitely order a soft pretzel and the mustard of the day to go with your beer.
google avatar

Rita V.

Yelp
Tacos. Tacos. Tacos. Chicharron. How many times do we love thee. The menu has grown and the beer makers are always on the stampede. I don't drink beer but I always find something bubbly, cold and delicious. Music. Atmosphere. Great service. Great gathering spot. And they have Tacos. Delicious fish, pork, chicken, beef or veggie lover tacos. Yep. Tacos. 'nough said Mr. Gato.

Janice R.

Yelp
Really nice that they have the option of dogs being outside. They also had a food truck which was a nice benefit! The people were incredibly kind as well.
google avatar

Bill Z.

Yelp
I had my eye on the Medusa (not such a safe thing to do if you're in ancient Greece, not so bad in Hudson, MA) after local friends said we'd stop there for a drink. I anticipated the visit even more when I checked out their beer selection in advance. What creative and fun names so many of their brews have, and the tastes live up to expectations! The space is really cool too, with two seating rooms, one with occasional live music, and a third room with darts and such. My local friends also come here from time to time for trivia nights. If I lived locally, I'd be here more than just "from time to time."

Yelp
Great brewery!! Came here with a group of close friends we were visiting. This place offers and amazing selections of brewed beers on tap. Flights, Bavarian style pretzels, pizza that we ordered from next door and good friends equal a fantastic time.

Yelp
This place has an awesome vibe and the staff is super friendly. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Went here over the weekend for the block party and Justin was AMAZING! So patient and attentive. Best worker at Medusa, hands down! Will certainly be back because of my experience this weekend.

Charles B.

Yelp
Used to be a great place. Past 3 times the staff just seems disinterested in actually having patrons in the building at all. And looking at the owners responses to bad reviews, especially on google, you can see it all going down hill. Just not helpful at all. Just overly defensive and standoffish.
google avatar

Emylee A.

Yelp
I forgot to take pictures of our beer! We got the cheese board most recently from mullahy's and it was excellent! The bar staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly and can help you pick a beer you'll like if they aren't swamped!
google avatar

Rich Z.

Yelp
Great beer. Really cool place. Got a couple of growlers to go. Really nice people, seem to be very up on the different varieties of beer. I recommend this place for sure. I'm told there is a restaurant next door where you can get takeout and bring it to Medusa.

Chris H.

Yelp
Great place, nice outside beer garden. Too bad beertender was rude and arrogant. Obviously too cool to care about customer service
google avatar

Rich S.

Yelp
Stopped in for some food and a quick beer. The bar looked really nice and the place had a good vibe. I think I am a good bit older than their target demographic, high percentage of hipsters outnumbering old cranky guys. There was a good crowd but I was able to get a seat at the bar. The bartender was a little "too cool for school" and seemed annoyed by my novice questions. I am not much of a beer drinker so when in a tap room I either get a flight or ask them to give me their best beer (the one they are known for) in this case my question was not well received. She was annoyed I didn't just pick a beer . I forget what beer I got a 5 oz pour of, probably because it was not memorable I ordered tacos from Taco Gato which is in the adjoining building (see separate review). When my food arrived so did a new bartender. It was like night and day! The new bartender was sweet, attentive, funny, and most of all informative and helpful when picking my next beer. Sadly that beer was also pretty forgettable. I probably would not return, it's not bad but it's nothing special either. The second bartender (wish I had gotten her name) was so good I could almost be convinced to return if I knew she would be working.

Yelp
Heard about this place and decided to give it a try and we really enjoyed it! Cool atmosphere and not nearly as pricey as other breweries! Also allow you to bring in your food which we will take advantage of next time
